the biggest problem with waiting to get into stuff until loooong after it's peaked is that I have FEELINGS about a thing but NO ONE to throw them at
anyways I just finished Star Trek: Picard and I am simultaneously over- and underwhelmed. I loved seasons 1 and 2, I LOVED RaffixSeven, I LOVED Elnor and Agnes and Rios!! S3 was a good fan-service standalone show, as in it was nice seeing the original TNG cast back together and on their Enterprise, and if it had been a separate bit it would have been delicious, BUT it had NOTHING to do with the previous two seasons!! WHAT DID THEY DO TO QUEEN BORGATI, WHERE DID SHE GO, WHAT TF HAPPENED TO THAT ENTIRE PLOTLINE
#and imo brent lost his data-ness#seemed like he spent so much time as various Soongs#that he just couldn't do Data anymore#like sure he's basically human now but#but all Data mannerisms were just not there#anyways#star trek picard#and a Q-retconned Dahj just disappeared into the ether with goddamned wesley crusher#like#????????????#where was janeway :(#i did like Tuvok's cameo tho#and Shaw was good#so was Geordi and his daughter(s)#and worf! and riker and dr crusher and deanna!#but UGH the WHIPLASH from s2 to s3#and the retconning and lack of closure like#UGGGHHH#they all deserved better tbh#and it kinda had 'shoot the secret death star vent to win' vibes#but also. worf hugging raffi ;-;
