in which you both are just two bad kids
wooyoung x f!reader
fluff, established relationship / wc: 1.1k
warnings: a lot of teasing ( are we surprised?), mention of food
You loved afternoon walks in the city, especially at this time of the year, when it's finally not that hot, that you can't be outside for more than five minutes because you boil, and also not too cold either, so you don't freeze yet. But today was an especially cold day for this early on in the season. Fall was your favorite season ever, it's just so beautiful, all the colors of the falling leaves, it has a special, kind of romantic feel to it.
You usually had a really cold hand all the time, but now that the weather cooled down your hands were freezing. Wooyoung took the opportunity to offer you him to warm them up for you. Honestly, the real reason was that he loved to hold your hands any time, especially in public. He thought this way he can protect you better, so he can keep you closer to him. Also, he loved any form of physical touch, so it was just a plus.
So you were walking hand in hand, like two love birds, that can't go further than a foot away from each other, and it was kinda true. You both loved to be as close as possible to one another, it seeks comfort in a way.
It didn't last too long though, because the minute you saw a stand a bit far away where they were selling some bungeoppang, you immediately drop your boyfriend's hand and literally sprinted there. There was only one thing in your mind, you needed something delicious the warm you up in this freezing cold.
"Why does she always do this?" Yeah, it was pretty frequent for this situation to happen. But you were very independent, and sometimes forget to tell him what you were thinking out loud, so your boyfriend could actually know what was happening. Now the only thing he can do is to run after you.
"Look they sell bungeoppang!!" You told him a little too excited when he finally caught up to you. It would have been fun to Wooyoung if it wasn't this freaking cold outside. You could say that your relationship was kinda fun and playful, you both were the kind of people who didn't take things too seriously, and that's why life is so fun.
"Do you want some too?" You asked your boyfriend as you were already about to pay for your own. He was hesitant but you bought him one anyway, you don't want him to steal yours. And that happens all the time, you ask him if he wants something, and he says no to you, but the next second he is eating your precious food. You love each other and would share anything, but you both are really serious about food.
So you continued your walk at the park while eating your delicious snack. You were about to tell Wooyoung how good it feels to warm your stomach up, but when you looked at him he already finished his. Yeah, sure he doesn't need one...
Suddenly you busted out laughing, you actually couldn't stop it. Wooyoung got confused about why you were laughing so hard, but he wanted to do it so bad, he wanted to laugh with you, so he asked you non stop "what?" "why are we laughing?", as if you could answer him right now.
The moment you tried to tell him and pointed at him because you still couldn't talk, now from the exhaustion, was when he realized that you were laughing at him. Now he wasn't that happy about it anymore.
"You got some red bean paste on your face babe. Come here." You wanted to help him, but you were still catching your breath and wiping your tears away. He did not accept your help, he was acting like he was offended. But in reality, he knew it was funny, but he was the kind who couldn't handle it when got teased by someone else.
"Come on, you know it was funny" You tried to get to his heart, by back hugging him. Of course, he couldn't handle that, and told you with a pouty voice "do you like me with food on my face too?".
"I like you by all means." He turned around to face you and gave a little kiss on the top of your nose. "Your nose is really cold." He seemed very surprised, he didn't think you are this cold, although you told him before, but he thought it was just your usual exaggeration.
You touched your nose to check what he was talking about. "I told you I'm freezing Woo." You couldn't believe that he is realizing just now, you told him several times before.
"You want to see something cool?" He asked you all of a sudden. Wooyoung smiled a little bit at your expression, your face was actually clueless.
You didn't answer him, but he already dragged you behind him. You hoped that it wasn't something lame, because you hated surprises, even small ones like this. But it actually was super cool, you got very much excited when your boyfriend stopped in front of a Ferris wheel at the center of the park.
"Want to take a ride?" He asked you with the biggest smile because seeing you this happy made him the happiest human ever.
"YEES!!!" You were literally jumping due to the sudden joy, you couldn't help yourself. Now it was your time to drag Wooyoung to the cashier. "Two tickets pleasee!" You looked like a little kid whose dad or older brother brought you here as a reward.
When you got into the cabin, you sat down facing each other. Your excitement fade away when the Ferris wheel started moving. Your boyfriend took the opportunity to get you back and when it stopped at the very top, he stood up and started moving and of course, the whole cabin started moving with him.
"Wooyoung stop!" You yelled at your boyfriend while trying to hold on to something, anything. All you heard is his witch laugh, and you immediately knew what was this about. "I'm serious if you're not sitting down right now.." You couldn't even finish your sentence, when he sat down next to you and said "Then what?" Ohh boy, he caught you off guard.
"Don't worry Y/n, I'm just messing around. I got you, until I'm here nothing's gonna happen, so you can let go of your seat."
It was enough for you to calm down. You knew your boyfriend, and how much he loved teasing you, just as much as you loved teasing him. But you trusted him, he would never do something that actually could hurt you.
He took your hands in his for the rest of the ride. " Your hands aren't cold anymore. Did you warm up?"
"Yes, thanks for this whole experience." It was a bit sarcastic, but you were actually thankful for him.

This was Diamond Town. It was a small town surrounded by huge diamond mines and filled with diamonds dug out of said mine. It was also divided into two areas. The center was the "Town of Light" where aristocratic mansions were lined up. Surrounding it was the "Town of Wind" where ordinary, but cheerful residents lived. Kirby, Waddle Dee, and President Dedede were residents of the Town of Wind.
Kirby's home was a room in an apartment where no one lived. He was secretly living in a building that would soon be torn down. It was a rundown apartment, but Kirby loved it. The first reason was the the window. The window was partially broken, so it was well ventilated. Second, even if he sang as loud as he could, no one would get angry. The third thing was that a small airplane could be parked on the roof of the building. Kirby was very good at flying airplanes. He enjoyed carrying his luggage, taking an airplane, and going on an adventure to a distant city.
Dedede, the president of a nearby factory, was his airplane racing rival. The maneuvering skill of President Dedede was not bad, but he was not as good as Kirby. In the race yesterday, Kirby brilliantly achieved a hundred consecutive victories against him.
Even though the sun was high in the sky, Kirby was sleeping comfortably. A wooden apple crate placed near the window acted as his bed. In his dream, Kirby was boarding an airplane and flying around the sky.
" ... Let’s ... do it ... Somersault ...! " he said sleepily. The front door opened and Kirby's friend, Waddle Dee, jumped in.
"Good morning, Kirby! Hey, get up. Big news!" Waddle Dee gently woke Kirby. He rubbed his eyes and got up, still half-asleep.
"Hmm ...? Ah, good morning, Waddle Dee. Breakfast, I'll have it ... "
"Yes, yes, finish up," Waddle Dee took a sandwich out of his pouch and handed it to Kirby. He always carried food with him for his gluttonous friend. Kirby's drowsiness immediately disappeared.
"Wow, egg and ham sandwich! I love your sandwiches!" Kirby smiled and bit in.
"Hey, listen. There's big news," Waddle Dee announced in a loud voice. "This is this morning’s newspaper." Waddle Dee spread the newspaper and showed an article with a big photo.
Kirby stared at the newspaper blankly. "’An Ancient Machine Discovered in the Diamond Mine!’ ...? What is this?"
"A mysterious machine was found in the mine. It's so old that it's buried all the way in the back. It seems that it was dug out by chance."
"Hmm ... " Kirby wasn’t interested in diamonds or ancient machines. Waddle Dee grew frustrated.
"It's a nice machine. Look at millionaire Mr. Fugo's photo and comments on it," Waddle Dee said. He showed Kirby a photo in the newspaper.
The one in the picture was a smiling gentleman with a beautiful mustache. He was no stranger to the inhabitants of this town. Mr. Fugo was a rich man and the owner of a diamond mine. Not only that, Waddle Dee explained that most of the city, from railroad companies to bread factories, belonged to Mr. Fugo.
"It seems that this ancient machine has great power, but it doesn’t work now."
"Why not?"
"Because important parts of the machine are gone: the gears. So, Mr. Fugo put a prize on them. A prize of ... one million Point Stars!"
Kirby wasn't interested at all when he heard the amount of money Waddle Dee shouted. He finished eating his sandwich and opened his hands with a bright smile.
"I’d like tuna and cucumber sandwiches tomorrow! Ah, but bacon and tomatoes are also good. It's delicious with fried shrimp and potato salad ... "
"Ah, Kirby," said Waddle Dee. He spoke a bit louder so that Kirby could understand the greatness of the prize. "Listen carefully. Don’t you know how much that is? You can buy thousands of nice clothes!"
"Hmm."
"You can buy thousands of high-end hats!"
"Huh."
"And ... and ...! You could eat a deluxe lunch for 100,000 people at Chef Kawasaki's restaurant!"
" ... Eh!?"
Kirby, who hadn’t been listening until now, squealed with widened eyes. "100,000 servings ...!? Of the most luxurious deluxe lunch!?"
"Y-yes, but that was just an example ... "
"Wowwww!" Kirby grabbed Waddle Dee's hand tightly and started running. "Let's go, Waddle Dee! Fast, fast! If we don’t hurry, lunch time will end~!"
"Oh, calm down, Kirby," Waddle Dee said while being dragged along. "You need the prize to eat the deluxe lunch for 100,000 people, and you have to find the gears to get the prize."
"Uh ... yeah ...? "
Waddle Dee spread the newspaper. "The article. Read what it says."
According to millionaire Fugo, the ancient machine had the power to make everyone happy, however, the gears were stolen by an evil wizard and the machine stopped working. The stolen gears should still be sleeping somewhere in town.
"If the gears are found, the machine will work again. I want to make the citizens of this town happy. For that reason, I’m willing to put my entire fortune into it,” he had said, so he promised a huge prize for the gears of the ancient machine.
"But even if there wasn’t a machine like that, everyone would feel happy if they ate Chef Kawasaki's deluxe lunch," Kirby said curiously. Waddle Dee laughed.
"If it were you, maybe, but everyone's wishes aren't the same as yours."
"Eh?"
"I think ... " Waddle Dee said with shining eyes, "the wonderful ancient machine will surely fulfill each and every one of our wishes. Kirby's wish is to eat a lot. President Dedede's wish is to win an airplane race. I hope it’s a machine that can fulfill each and every one’s wish."
Kirby smiled. "What kind of wish do you have, Waddle Dee?"
"Huh?"
"You must have a wish too, right? What kind of wish do you want to make?"
"I ... I, uh ... " Waddle Dee closed his eyes shyly and spoke. "I want to eat a sweet called ‘chocolate.’ Just a bite."
" ... Chocolate ... "
You couldn’t get sweets in the Town of Wind. Only the aristocrats of the Town of Light could eat such luxury goods. Kirby sometimes flew to distant cities, so he had eaten delicious sweets from all over the world. Waddle Dee, however, had only eaten sweets by listening to Kirby's stories and imagining it. Even if Kirby bought souvenir sweets, they were all picked up by the guards at the entrance of the city. The rules of Diamond Town were strict, and people were not allowed to bring sweets in without permission. Kirby spread his hands wide.
"Don't say just a bite! Let's eat a lot—as much as we can!"
Waddle Dee nodded. "That's right. Let's eat a mountain of chocolate together! I'm looking forward to it."
"Yeah! To do that, We have to find the gears!"
"Let's do our best!" the two cheered.
Around the same time, President Dedede was visiting a café in the neighborhood. The store manager smiled at the president.
"Welcome, President Dedede."
"Give me the lunch special. I’ll have a large serving of bread with it."
"Yes, the lunch special and a large serving of bread."
President Dedede was a regular customer of this shop, "Daroach’s Café." It was a small shop, but it was popular because it served good coffee and lunch. The store manager was a hard-working man named Daroach.
President Dedede sat down by his favorite window, spread out his newspaper, and started reading. He spoke while Daroach brought out the plates.
"Did you hear, manager? The big news in the newspaper?"
"Hm? Oh, do you mean yesterday's airplane race? I heard from a friend—it’s a shame."
Dedede gave Daroach with a sour look. "Hmph! That’s boring, I don’t care about stuff like that. I'm talking about the ancient machine."
"What? Ancient machine?"
"It seems a great machine was found in the diamond mine." President Dedede pointed to the newspaper.
Daroach read the article. He seemed amused. "Heh, I don't know about the truthfulness of it, but it's a fun story. What kind of machine makes everyone happy?" he said.
"Read the rest of the article. It says that someone will pay a prize for those gears."
"Huh, really? Such a large amount of money. Just finding some gears can make you that much ...? "
"They’re not just any old gears. They’re special gears that can make ancient machines move. They’re not easy to find. Hm, I don't know ... "
"Right, but if anyone could find them, I bet it’d be you." President Dedede was quiet as he thought about Daroach’s words.
"Really? You think so?"
"I do. You’re smart and have a lot of courage. I think you could do it."
"Wise words. Well, I think so, too."
"Heh, please find them. And if you get the prize, please order a special lunch every day at our store."
"Hahaha! I'll buy the entire store, more like it."
"I look forward to it."
President Dedede finished his meal in good spirits and began to leave. After he left, however—the aura around the store manager changed. Daroach muttered in a low voice, with a harsh light covering his face and a fearless smile in his mouth.
"An ancient machine. Isn't that an interesting story?" At the same time, the door opened and a new customer came in. As soon as they did, Daroach returned to the face of a working store manager and greeted them with a cheerful voice.
"Welcome! Seat yourself! Today's lunch special is hamburger steak!"
The manager of the popular café was merely a guise. No one knew his true face in the Town of Wind.
The Town of Light, which was lined with aristocratic mansions, was a quiet area that was completely different from the messy streets of the Town of Wind. The road was wide and there was no trash to be seen. The scent of flowers from the gardens here and there was just right, and beautiful music could be heard from somewhere nearby. Every day and every night, a party was held in a mansion somewhere.
Tonight, a certain mansion in particular was crowded with guests who had arrived. Luxury meals were carried out one after another, and conversation was lively. During this, one of the guests stood up. He was a fine gentleman with a masked face and a red rose in his chest pocket.
"Oh? Are you leaving already, Meta Knight? If you’d like, you can take the dessert home with you." The lady of the mansion, unfortunately, stopped the guest.
"It's an exquisite chocolate cake handmade by our chef. By all means, I insist you—"
"No, it's fine. I'm done." When Meta Knight left, the aristocrats whispered.
"Maybe Meta Knight isn't interested in cakes ... "
"He's a cool person. I don't think sweet foods are good for his reputation ... "
"Oh, such a shame. I’ll have to tell the chef not to make such a sweet dessert ... "
After leaving, Meta Knight got in his car and returned to his own mansion.
"Welcome back, my lord," the butler, Vul, greeted respectfully. "How was your party?"
"The same as usual. Nothing but conversations and heavy food. I'm sick of it."
Meta Knight was polite in public, but not so much at home. He continued to speak as he walked down the corridor.
"Has anything changed while I was away?"
"No. There were no phone calls, and as for guests ... " Butler Vul opened the living room door. Just then ...
"Hey, I’m home~!"
A cheerful voice rang out from inside. Vul was so surprised he nearly fell over. Someone was sitting on the sofa, but Vul didn't remember guiding anyone.
"Huaghhhh!? Da- Da- Daroach ...!? Why you ...! From where did you ...!? " Meta Knight stopped him before he burst a blood vessel.
"It doesn't matter. The usual."
"It's because it's the usual that it's troublesome! Time and time again, in this house without my knowledge, sneaking into these halls—! Today, I have to say it's gutsy ...! "
"I said you’re dismissed."
"But ...! "
"Get me two cups of tea."
Butler Vul looked as if he was about to be sick, but when his lord, Meta Knight, commanded, he had to obey. When Vul left, Meta Knight turned to Daroach.
"Good grief. When you come next time, ring the doorbell and come in through the front door. Don't upset the butler."
"Sorry, I’ve never gotten along with that guy." Daroach grinned and held up a paper bag. "For you: an eclair. I used a lot of the chocolate you gave me the other day. I was thinking about what kind of sweets to make since chocolate is a luxury item that I rarely get, but I thought a simple eclair was best."
" ... Thank you."
Meta Knight’s countenance didn’t change, but his voice sounded happy. He didn’t dislike sweets. On the contrary, they were his favorite, however, the sweets that Daroach made were so delicious he couldn’t be satisfied with anything else. Aristocrat Meta Knight and Daroach, the café manager in the Town of Wind. Although they lived in different worlds, for some reason, they became friends after getting to know each other during a certain incident. It was rare, but if there was something wrong Daroach would sneak in from somewhere, like tonight. Butler Vul angrily brought in tea and left again. Daroach started his story.
"Tonight's errand is about gears. Are you listening?"
"Are they from a machine that was found in a diamond mine?"
"Oh. If you already know, I’ll make it quick. If someone finds all of the gears, they will get a great amount of money awarded to them."
"I'm not interested," he simply said.
Daroach looked disappointed. "Hmm. You're a very rich aristocrat, however, even if you’re not interested in gold, what about an ancient machine? Don’t you think it’s fascinating?"
" ... Not particularly."
"It's a machine made by a lost civilization. Its power is probably far greater than anything we can imagine."
" …………… "
Meta Knight was silent. He was not interested in money, but he was strongly attracted to mysteries and adventures. Daroach knew it well.
"To tell the truth, I don't want the prize, either."
" ... What?"
"I want to know what Fugo’s true motive is. Why would he have such a ridiculous prize? I wonder if he's trying to take the gears for himself ... He says, ‘I want to make the citizens happy,’ but that can't be true."
Meta Knight nodded immediately. "I wonder."
Mr. Fugo was known as a kind-hearted millionaire. He was grateful to everyone for holding parties and made donations for the residents of the Town of Wind, but Daroach and Meta Knight both knew it wasn’t how it seemed.
Daroach had excellent subordinates. They dug into newspapers and worked in aristocratic mansions and passed on the information they gathered to the boss, Daroach. Mr. Fugo was anything but a kind-hearted millionaire. He tricked people, made sly deals, and made a lot of money. Daroach wanted to reveal the truth right away, but there was little evidence. He couldn’t stand by, though. If one turned a blind eye to evil, they would inevitably be crushed by its weight. He strengthened his voice.
"I'm sure he’s planning to use that ancient machine to make a lot of money. If we can get proof of that, we can expose him."
"Exposing evil ...? It doesn’t seem like you," Meta Knight laughed. "You're not a hero of justice. You're a thief, right? I thought you were only interested in treasure."
"C’mon, stop it."
Daroach stood up. Out of nowhere, he took out a red top hat and cloak and donned them gracefully. He grinned as he tipped his brim.
"You don't need to worry when you’re with someone like me. I am the great thief Daroach who travels the world!"
Yes, this was his true identity. In the daytime, a cheerful café manager, but at night, in the darkness, a bandit who steals the treasure of bad aristocrats. His technique was splendid and artistic. He didn’t hurt anyone, nor leave any sort of evidence.
"Oh, I know. I'm sorry."
When Meta Knight apologized, Daroach stowed his hat and cloak. He was back to how he was before.
"Please, tell me your reply. Let’s find out what Fugo’s up to, and let’s find out the mystery of the ancient machine, together. You and I."
"Okay." Meta Knight nodded. Daroach smiled.
"If that’s your decision, we’re ready to take action. First, we have to gather information. I'll use my subordinates to search. You investigate around Fugo."
"All right."
"See ya," Daroach said.
He jumped with light footsteps and left through the open window.
In the blink of an eye, the great thief Daroach was gone.

Katie Eats, Part II
(Here's Part I)
So, let's take a kid with an inherent disconnect from her body, and then layer on the lowfat messaging of the 90s. Even though things are far from perfect today, it's hard to remember how truly omnipresent fat shaming was back then. Fat was evil, both scientifically and morally; everyone knew this was empirically true. So we drank nonfat milk and ate nonfat cheese and margarine and rice cakes and huge amounts of pasta, because carbs were fat free! And somehow we were always hungry, no matter how many sumptuous rice crackers we consumed.
And then there was the small matter of one of the adults in my life using my weight to bully me, but that's beyond the scope of this post. (You'll just have to wait for my tell-all memoir, due out in 2076!)
By my teens, my eating was out of control. I routinely came home and ate three bags of popcorn in one sitting. If left alone in my dad's house, I'd start at one side of the snack cabinet and work my way through to the other end, a one-person locust swarm. I had the recipe for chocolate chip cookies memorized; always efficient, I'd quadruple the amount when I baked, aluminum sheets of cookies sitting out to cool on every surface of my mother's kitchen.
I didn't find the food I ate particularly delicious; I just craved chewing and swallowing. I loved the overextended feeling I got when I'd eaten beyond capacity. I hated leaving anything unfinished (no half sleeves of Ritz crackers left undone!). And I found the dizzying rush of a sugar high incredibly soothing. So I ate, and ate, and ate.
And, I should add, obsessed about my weight. There are very few good plus-sized clothing options available today; in the 90s, there were none. All jeans were low-rise. Every shop went down to size 00 and often capped out at 8. Every time I shopped I was reminded that I had the figure of neither Brittney Spears nor Fiona Apple, and was therefore a monster who didn't deserve to pay money to drape fabric over her body. I weighed myself multiple times a day, every day; sometimes I would weigh myself, then run to the other side of the house and back to see if that had changed things. I spent weeks at one point trying to teach myself to lucid dream, because I thought I could lose weight by exercising in my sleep.
But I knew that this wasn't an eating disorder, because my high school health teacher (who'll get her own chapter in my 2076 memoir…) explicitly told us that if you weren't purging, it wasn't an eating disorder. And I wasn't purging! I mean I tried once or twice, but couldn't figure out the mechanics of it; and anyway, similar to my experiments with cutting, it just didn't provide the relief that all the Very Special Episodes told me it would. Disappointing!
So it definitely wasn't an eating disorder. And of course that was a good thing, because those were bad, and also we'd learned in the aforementioned health class that bulimia didn't typically lead to weight loss, and I knew I didn't have the stamina for anorexia.
But if it wasn't an eating disorder, then it logically followed that my inability to contain my overconsumption and weight was just a moral weakness and lack of willpower. Or, as many helpful magazine articles suggested, a subconscious attempt to fill my emptiness and punish my body due to my own self-loathing. But it couldn't be subconscious if I'd read those articles and knew I was doing it, could it? Which brought me back to moral weakness and lack of willpower.
So the logical conclusion was that I needed to combat this with willpower; use my brain to triumph over my body. How did that go? Stay tuned for Part III!

Chapter 2 - White
Blue pill or red pill - Jungkook
Description: You're a young girl, who's a little bit introverted and afraid to be under everybody's eyes. You only have your best friend, but it's ok for you. You don't want to be popular and believe in minimal things. One day you meet a guy. Or two?
Jungkook x Reader
The imagines I used are not mine Credit to the owners
Y/n pov
I weak up to the sound of my alarm. It's not difficult today for me to wake up, since I'm very nervous.
After turning off the alarm, I sit up on my bed and open the curtains next to me. The bright and warm light welcomes me and slightly heats up my sleepy face.
I slowly stand up and stretch my whole body. I can feel every bone cracking and every muscle stretching out. It's a good sensation, it makes me feel alive.
I open the door and head downstairs to the kitchen, where my mum is preparing breakfast.
"Good morning y/n, are you ready for today?" she says referring to the beginning of school.
"Yes, a bit nervous, but I guess I can do nothing about it" I say lifting a bit my shoulders.
As I eat the breakfast my mum made, I start to feel strange. The taste of this meal feels nostalgic. Like I'm going to be away from home for years, but it's actually going to be for some hours.
"Mum it was delicious" I say as soon as I finished eating.
Now I'm going up the stairs and I see again the picture with me and Rosé. Why do I feel so sad this morning? It's not the end of the world and it's not the first time I go to school. Maybe something bad will happen?
I don't want to think about this. I have to get ready now.
As I'm putting on my uniform I can feel my warm hands touching my bare skin and lifting up my clothes. Such a simple move. Like me. I have to be simple.
After a bit I finished getting ready and now I'm laying down on my bed. Unconsciously I find myself talking to the ceiling:
"I'll be back I promise. I just need to be like you. White. And everything will be alright"
I don't know why I have to be this dramatic every time.
Now I'm outside and it feels like it passed only two seconds: me waking up, having breakfast, putting on clothes and going outside. And now, as I'm walking, I realize that I'm almost at school.
I just blinked twice and I find myself in class, sitting next to Rosé, who's now complaining about Jimin. I don't know if it's me, but it actually feels like the beginning of a movie.
"...and now I find out that me and him have some classes in common!" Rosé continues talking.
I guess she really doesn't want to see Jimin. I wonder why, they look so good together. He's the bad guy and she's the good girl. I always tell her that the two of them are going to get together by the end of the year. But she doesn't want to believe me.
"So guys, that's it for today's lesson. Have a good day!" the professor says leaving us alone in the classroom. Seriously, why is time going so fast?
As I question myself about time, I hear some noises next to me.
"Oi nerd. Do the homework fast and give it to us once you're done." It's one of our classmates, that is bullying someone. I honestly can't stand this type of behaviors. I feel kinda angry right now.
Years ago I was in the same situation, being bullied because of my good grades and my shy personality. If it wasn't for Rosé, who protected me, I would still be like this.
I want to stop this bully, but as soon as I stand up I remember. "I have to be white". Right, I don't want to get in trouble.
After that scene, we walked outside of the building and now I'm walking home with Rosé who says:
"Why did you suddenly stand up earlier? Did you want to protect the guy who was being bullied?"
"I wanted to. But then...you know."
"Yeah. You didn't want to interfere. I know I know. Do you even know that poor guy?" she asks me.
Right. Do I know him? I honestly don't know. I think that, at that moment, I was too focused on being angry and mad at the bully, that I didn't even look at that guy. I hope things will change for him.
Every single other day of the week went by in the same way. Like a routine.
Waking up, having breakfast, getting dressed, going to school, having classes, assisting to people bullying other people, going home, having dinner, sleeping.
"Why is my life so flat?" I question myself looking at the ceiling.
On the other hand, Rosé's life is pretty chaotic. She told me that she had a lot to do. She also met up with Jimin to argue again. When she told me what happened, I laughed a bit. They are so cute I swear. Jimin has changed a lot since he knew Rosé.
While the only thing that changed in my life, is the anger towards bullies. Usually I would just ignore them, but this time is different. Those bullies kept asking that guy for his homework and he keeps reminding me of myself.
I couldn't say a word, I just handed them my homework and eventually started crying due to frustration. But I'm worried about him. He didn't give them his homework because he still didn't do it. They kept threatening him. I wonder what will happen next week.
I passed this weekend at home, studying obviously. But I was happy, everything was going great. There was just me, my teddy bear and the ceiling. Nothing went wrong.
As I look outside the window, I realize that is Monday morning and that another week has started.
"Great! I have to do like I did last week. Just be white. As always"
Every morning I feel the same emotions. I feel chills down my spine as I stretch my body when I get up. I feel nostalgic and sad when I eat the food my mum cooks. I feel like I'm going to lose everything, every time I look at the picture of me and my best friend. And once I get to school, it looks like nothing happened.
Now I'm having the last class of the day. As the professor says hi to us and leaves the room, I can hear those bullied. Again. I'm thinking about all the emotions I'm feeling. It was different in the past. I was kinda emotionless, except when I was with Rosé. This confusion is making me angrier. It's the first time I feel this type of emotion. Anger.
I'm literally daydreaming and I don't realize that I just stopped the bullies, putting a hand between them and the poor guy.
"What do you want?" one of those scary guys says. He's really intimidating.
I'm sweating. My worst nightmare has become true. Everybody is looking at us. I feel oppressed. The room has become black and I can only see everybody's eyes looking at me. their gaze is suffocating me and crushing my body. But then...
"Leave her alone" it's Rosé. As she defends both me and the other guy, I feel my eyes teary.
Even though those bullies are big and mighty, Rosé is more intimidating and scarier. Indeed they left right away. I don't know what's her past, even if I know her since forever. Sometimes I feel like she's the daughter of some of those rich men, that can get whatever they want with just money.
As I come back to earth I hear Rosé asking me if everything was alright. I just nod, but it feels like I didn't really answer. Then I hear another voice.
"Thank you, y/n and Rosé..." it's a boy and he's almost whispering.
I'm not really looking at him, I'm still trembling because of what just happened. I guess my life is ruined now. But then Rosé snaps her fingers in front of my eyes and this makes me turn my head towards her.
"Y/n you saved one of our classmates" she says laughing a bit "I honestly couldn't believe it. As I saw you standing up from the chair and getting in between those guys, I thought that someone was controlling your body or that you were sleepwalking" as she laughs at that, I feel a bit reassured.
She knows that her smile makes me calm down.
"I'm sorry for what happened. You didn't have to defend me ahah..." it's the same guy. This time I decide to look at him in the eyes.
"But thank you!" he says with a big smile "My name is Jungkook!"
He's actually cute. What? It feels strange. Did I just find him cute? I feel anxious. Why? It's the first time a boy talks to me.
I just nod in response and then start daydreaming, again. I can hear him and Rosé talking together. They're saying something about becoming friends. The three of us.
Another week has passed and me, Rosé and Jungkook became friends. Luckily the bullies stopped asking for his homework, maybe they're too afraid of Rosé ahahah.
Now is Thursday morning and I wake up strangely. I'm so strict. I find me scolding myself for letting something new happen. Maybe I'll just allow that. After all he's just a new friend. But somehow reminds me of someone. I've been thinking about this the whole week, but I can't figure out who he looks like.
Well I guess I have to stick with this doubt of mine. I'll let it sit with all my other queries that are archived inside my brain.
I just finished washing myself and now I have to go to school. At the very moment that I step outside my door, I feel a thrill running through my spine. I'm standing still at the main entrance of my house. What was that? Was that a sign? Something will go wrong. I can feel it. I don't want to go to school, but then...
"Y/n hurry up!" is Rosé who is waiting outside my house "Hurry or else we'll be late!"
As I see her smile, I instinctively walk towards her and forget about all my worries.
Now I'm at school, sitting at my desk with Rosé and waiting for the professor. Today I'm so distracted, that I forgot to greet Jungkook. Since the professor is not here yet, I guess I can turn myself to him and say hi.
I turn my head towards his desk. But I cannot say a word.
I see double. I'm crazy. I think I'm fainting. Am I the only one that sees double? What is wrong with me? I think I'm insane. I look down at my desk and try to calm down. I rub my eyes, thinking that maybe I didn't wash my face properly this morning and then I turn my head again.
Ok, I'm definitely crazy. There are two Jungkooks.
The Jungkook I know, has a warm smile.
He's very tidy and well mannered. Then I look at the other one.
OH MY GOD HE'S LOOKING AT ME!!! I quickly turn my face the other way.
He's the complete opposite of Jungkook. He has longer hair at the top and almost shaved on the sides. He's not even wearing the uniform. They look completely different! I mean, their faces look the same, but everything else is different!
"R-Rosé...who is the guy next to Jungkook?" I whisper to my desk mate.
"Oh that one is Jungwook. They're twins if you were wondering" she says as she takes out her notebook.
"Yeah I imagined that but- WHAT?!" I shout.
"Shh the professor is about to come!" one of our classmates scolds us.
Now that all the classes ended, I can finally ask Rosé:
"Who is the other guy?"
"He's the one that was with Jimin the day before school" she answers me as she walks down the street.
That's why he reminded me of somebody. Now I can delete that doubt from my mind. I actually feel a little lighter now ahahah.
"Don't hang out with him. He's the classic bad guy that makes every girl cry. That's why he's friend with Jimin. They're the same" she scoffs as she pronounces that name.
"But it looks like Jimin is changed. I haven't seen him with a girl for a while. Perhaps..." I say and hit her shoulder with my elbow.
"Don't you even think about that!"
Now I'm eating dinner. I don't know why but my homesickness is growing. But I'm rather at school or home. So it doesn't make much sense. Maybe I'm just tired. After eating I decide to refresh my face with some cold water.
I cup my hands under the faucet and put some water in between my hands. As I splash it on my face, I feel every single drop sliding on my skin. A few drops stop at the tip of my nose for a couple of seconds and then fall into the sink. Some others are on the tip of my eyelashes, making my eyelids feel heavy. After drying up, I decide to go to bed and rest.
It's been a very long day, but for some reasons, I feel like, from now on, days are going to be much longer than they used to be.
As I slowly wake up, I hear some birds chirping outside. It's a weird sensation. I try to be as emotionless as possible, but I really can't. I feel confused. Before standing up I say just one word:
"WHITE"
That's how I want everything to be. White.
