Baby terf here, I’m using my friends acct till I get my own so I’m on anon. First off, I’m not totally sure what the average terf views on certain identities are so is it ok if I ask? I’m unsure what my stance on aces and aros is, but I kinda think that they aren’t lgbt, and don’t rlly need a label but they can exist and it’s fine. I know this isn’t the typical terf view but I think actual trans men are ok. Trenders, “he/they”s and all that shit is definitely just cis girls trying to escape being a girl. But real trans men are fine. And I say fine as in yes they’re actually men, not fine as in they aren’t gross. Choosing to be a man is gross and idk why anyone would do it. Anyway I just wanted to ask your opinion on my opinions, I hope I still count as a radfem. Do you have any advice for baby terfs? Getting into the community, not getting hate, etc? Sorry to bother you, thanks for reading!
first of all youre not bothering me at all i love getting asks!! asexuals are fine, there's nothing wrong with not experiencing sexual attraction. the issue is when they claim to be part of the 'community' when they don't experience same sex attraction. also i dont think 'aphobia' is real. and i also dont really have a problem with trans men bc i care about all female born people, transitioned or not. (some trans men who pass do experience privilege bc theyre percieved as men, but they still experience misogyny due to their female biology.) and i dont think trans men are choosing to be men, i think they experience dysphoria bc of female socialization and sexualization and discomfort from performing femininity bc theyre homosexual and gender nonconforming. and honestly i cant really give advice on how to be a radfem bc im not really one myself. i hold radical feminist views but im not vocal irl about it. i have some resources on my blog if you search thru my tags; some posts have links to readings and studies that i recommend you check out: #fem for general feminism, #gc for gender critical stuff, #swpkc for sex work, porn, and kink critical, #rr for abortion/reproductive rights, and #bfb for beauty, femininity and body image. and you will get hate. thats a guarantee. if you turn off anon that should mitigate it a bit, but you will never be immune. you kind of just have to have thick skin. personally i love attention lol
