so I had a dream. About Penelope. She gets married, she’s happy and then she’s not. Her husband is gone, and then eventually a large group of suitors come into her house, vying for her hand in marriage. But when they say her name, it’s so….disgusting. Wrong, incorrect, and it bothers her. When they say her name, it’s sounds like they are tearing it apart with their teeth. It feels like they are undressing her with their eyes, and she can’t stop them. It says to her psyche, that she is alone. She has been defiled, and they haven’t even touched her. And then Odysseus comes back. The suitors are gone, and she is too happy to think about anything else but him. But then, in the quiet of their bed, she hears her name. “Penelope.” And it is such a heady feeling, she asked him to say it again.

Penelope (Daughter of Icarus) again please…

Penelope (Queen of Ithaca) again please…
