Hello! I wanted to pop in and ask you some technical questions. How did you go about finding your breeder for Sivi? And, if you don't mind me asking, how much was he? What was the paper work like to get him? Thanks so much! Hope you're having a great day! Give Sivi some scratches for me!
Hi!!!!!! I’m going to have to start off by saying that I don’t think my breeder was the typical silken breeder LOL………within a few minutes of talking to me, she decided I could have a puppy and even that I could choose him myself. Which is not really typical. A lot of breeders have a questionnaire for you to fill out, or have to know you, and most of them will choose your puppy FOR you, which tbh is what I expected and what I wanted. Some of it had to do with my breeder’s personality–she’s just extremely laid-back–but a lot, I think, had to do with her current circumstances. After Sivi’s mom got pregnant, my breeder had to deal with a wave of tragedy. She lost her brother, for one thing, shortly after the puppies were born. She was also taking care of her father. She already had suffered the recent loss of her mother and was taking care of her husband, who had a brain aneurysm some time ago. Then while still looking for homes for puppies, she dislocated her shoulder. She also discovered one puppy had a problem with one of his eyes. So tbh I don’t think her situation was at all typical. Also, I found her quite by chance. She posted on the Silken Windhound Puppies page on FB that she was about to have a litter of ten. Pretty much no one knew about it bc her presence in the silken world is pretty quiet. This was her first, and probably only, litter.
But the mama (Morgandell Sunrise Surprise) was a puppy from two dogs I really liked and had stared at longingly on the internet haha…….it did feel a little meant to be, considering her location, timing, and my current living situation. I messaged Leslie about the litter, I visited 4-5 times while the puppies were growing up, and I chose Sivi because he was one of only two pups that really seemed to want to engage with me on a consistent basis. The other pup who always wanted my attention was a little Too Much and Leslie assured me that he was going to be a handful, so I went with Sivi, who was more toned down, while still maintaining that confidence and sociability I liked. They were, of course, all really sweet dogs and it was hard to make a decision, especially since I had over half the litter to choose from!
Anyway, I think what you can typically expect is to message/email a few different breeders, fill out questionnaires, talk a lot with the breeders you like best, and wait a at least a few months for the right puppy. Sivi was $1500 and that is pretty typical. Some go for less, some go for more, some even go for free, but I usually see it around $1500. Sivi does have a brother who would go for much less, though, since he’s partially blind in one eye. Anywayyyyy that’s enough rambling. Best thing to do would be to join all the silken pages on FB and scope out breeders and owners in your area. If you post asking to meet silkens, people are usually very excited to meet you and let you see their dogs. Another good person to ask on Tumblr would be @silkenagentsofcsbeck, who is a silken breeder in PA. He is who @bandizoi got Obie from!!! You can also talk to @crawshayi about her experience; she has one of Sivi’s sisters, but had her shipped up to Washington state! If you wanna chat off anon and lmk where you’re located, I can also let you know if I’m aware of any breeders near you.
Overall, I’m very green when it comes to silkens, and even owning dogs in general, so go out there and start talking to lots of people!!!
EDIT: I’m gonna add @the-pasta-pack who has a puppy from Clayborn and @inautumndays who has two from Satsuma and @ofcarnivora I just realized I don’t know where Pod is from, but those are some other people off the top of my head who own silkens! Lots more around here too. :)
#i feel like i always tag u guys when someone asks me about silkens#so sorry for buggin u#but i don't think u mind#bc silkens are the best#i could talk about silkens forever can u tell#Anonymous#also hey if u don't want me taggin u in these things lmk

Somewhere to Start by Lissadiane
(1/1 I 3,352 I Teen I Sterek)
Stiles has always known that he isn't quite human - the plant life that tends to sprout around him whenever he gets upset or excited gives it away. He's never really fit in among the regular people in Beacon Hills and is determined to wait it out, go to college, and find somewhere to belong. He's forced to abandon those plans, however, after he desperately agrees to enter into an arranged marriage to save his father's life.
An arranged marriage with an angry, sometimes furry dude with trust issues. It's all very Beauty and the Beast, without the singing candlesticks.

For many of the fairies that lives here, Utopia is their sanctuary—haven, in other words—and why shouldn't it be? It never rains on this stretch of meadow, the clouds in the skies always pink with interest and it smells like the breaking of spring every dawn and dusk.
Stiles detest it, the least to say.
It’s too much and he hates swinging along with the status quo with the other fairies. Yeah, with their blooming shades of colours and the shimmering, silken tunics they don on and fuck, the limitless sparkles. There’s even a new trend going on with the younger generation where they gather allium blooms to form a flower crown, oh—with added glitter!—and it makes Stiles wants to roll his eyes.

Derek thought the disaster that ended with Kate Argent almost burning down his family home was a relationship worst-case scenario. So, when Dr. Deaton reveals that his current girlfriend is not what she seems, Derek is ready to swear off romance forever. In an attempt to escape his well-meaning (but insanely overbearing) family, Derek volunteers to take over remodeling the small cottage that was left to the Hale siblings in his grandmother’s will. Connemara is nothing like California, and Derek feels like his luck just might be looking up.

Stiles is the sole grandchild of none other than Robin Goodfellow, the most mischievous faerie ever to wreak havoc among the Folk and Man alike. To the people of Beacon Court, he is at best a merry wanderer of the night.

When Trust is Everything by hellbells
(12/12 I 27,913 I Teen i Sterek)
For a secret to remain true then only one person can know it; if not then it will come out. Beacon Hills is the converging point of several secrets all wrapped up in the supernatural. For Stiles, the unravelling of several will let him find peace, love and safety in the arms of his true mate. The only question is can he trust a Sourwolf and his pack well enough to show his true self.
It just might be the one thing between Beacon Hills and safety!

Stiles woke with a start, dreams of pixies flitting around his head. He’d dreamed… He’d dreamed that he was a wolf? Or…. He wasn’t sure. Something with fangs… His mouth had been dripping blood in his dream, and when he woke, he could still taste the thick copper taste coating his mouth.
Stiles has been working hard for the pack since Scott was bitten. They leave him out more and more frequently, though, until Stiles realizes that he's strictly unnecessary. Then, the pack's activities throw him into danger and he ends up in a shitty situation with no one helping him.

Where You Still Remember Dreaming by yodasyoyo
(15/15 I 95,612 I Explicit I Sterek)
“What’s your name? I can’t keep calling you Balto.”
“What’s yours?”
“Stiles.”
Derek raises an eyebrow. That isn’t his real name. There’s no way. But now he thinks about it, he has a vague memory of someone, probably Uncle Peter, telling him that with the fae, names have power. “I’m Miguel,” he says.
“Lie.”
“Are you trying to tell me your real name is Stiles?”
Stiles runs his tongue across his teeth and considers Derek carefully. “Fair enough,” he says, “Miguel it is.”
Grabbing his groceries and pocketing the change, Derek turns to leave; he’s nearly at the door when Stiles calls out, “By the way, Miguel, if you’re interested, it’s two for one on bags of kibble at the pet store down the street.”
Derek doesn’t look back, doesn’t hesitate, just raises a hand and flips him off on the way out.

Prompt #2
She stood just outside of the thick wooden door and raised a hand to knock upon it. Her other fingers were wrapped tightly around a rolled up piece of parchment that threatened to crinkle. Vibrant blue eyes were downcast and she found her teeth sinking into her lower lip as the silence of the open apartment settled around her. The scent of smokey wood came from a extinguished fireplace and the lights were out save for a single candle that cast a land of shadows. A recent summer's rain had the thick humid air from outside slowly creeping into the abode as well, although she didn't mind because it smelled of the ocean. This will work. Her fist was still hovering an ilm from the wood. He left for so many moons. I've learned a lot from helping others and finding new ways to be useful. He'll like this. It's different, but being different is growing and he likes that. It'll be fine!
Kini’s petite figure still was hovering outside of the door with her right ear pressed flat against her strawberry-dipped blonde hair. Her left was perked forward as it tended to do when she was straining to listen, but she didn't hear anything from his room. Her fluffy, silken tail writhed in the air like a distressed snake as she swallowed back the lump in her throat. She had rehearsed this over and over since he'd returned and found her again. We're still new to Eorzea. I know you learn everything very swiftly, but wouldn't it be useful to have allies who can help? If I go to Kugane on my own and meet with them, I can make sure to make a connection for us. You don't have to bother with it! I'll even bring back news on that business you're looking for while I learn as much as I can! It would work. It was appealing and would give him what he wanted while giving her some freedom. Not that she needed it- she was supposed to serve him. He was the reason she was even alive. Yet the little taste from his departure had made her realize that there was a struggle inside of her. A weight had always been coiled around her shoulders, but she hadn't discovered just how heavy it was until he had been absent. Maybe some part of her wanted to believe that she was more than dirt. More than just a shadow. That she was a tiny light all her own. Don't think like that. Don't! Kini's eyes widened and she glanced to her hand that had started to tremble. She was happy A'khato was back. There had been relief upon discovering he hadn't died or left forever to leave her alone and wandering endlessly. It was a confusing feeling though, because there was also sheer, raw terror. His golden eyes were like staring before a towering panther who hadn't yet decided if she was to be his next meal or not. “Haven't you missed your brother? Come hug me.” The smile hadn't reached his eyes with those words. It never did. “You have my permission.” A smooth, tenored tone shattered the silence of the room and caused Kini to nearly squeak in surprise. Her entire body went stiff in realization that A'khato had known she'd been standing outside of his room all this time. Stupid. Stupid stupid. He hears far better than I do. Her shaky hand went to the knob and she twisted it slowly with a creak before nudging the door open and stepping into the room. A quick glance showed everything in order-the bookcase was organized, the dark wooden dresser shut with shoes in a row before it and the bed was completely made. The pictures upon the walls were even uniform to give a sense of space to the room despite the fact the apartment was a bit small. A'khato himself was sprawled languidly upon the window seat and staring out at the view over the ocean. “I'm sorry, I didn't want to intrude if you were busy.” Kini admitted as she forced herself to walk into the center of the room. Her eyes lingered on her brother's form for a bit to look for any signs of a recent scuffle, but as always he was neither modest nor scarred. His tanned form of tight, corded muscle was unclothed save for the simple black wrap around his midsection that he preferred when indoors. His unruly raven hair was tussled down his back and the paint he sometimes smeared upon his face was wiped away for now. Yet the feline eyes were as sharp as ever as they honed in on Kini. “So you thought I wouldn't notice you loitering outside the door?” He rolled his eyes and then shifted to face her, crossing his arms as he leaned his head to the side and rested it into the palm of his hand. “Sometimes I worry that you've lost more of your senses other than that ear of yours, Kini. What do you want?” “Sorry I-” “I don't want to hear your apologies. Just answer me.” He growled, which had Kini nearly apologizing again before she bit her tongue. She could do this. She could bring this up to him and he would see how good it was and it would all work out. Things were different. She was better at this. It would be acceptable. Just as she rehearsed. “This is a... a ticket to Kugane!” She held up the paper and bolstered a bright smile as she stepped forward and offered him the parchment. He peered in question and took it from her. She continued as he surveyed it over, reading the contents out of habit to check such things. “You wanted me to find out that name for you and I discovered it's a place in Kugane! However, no one would tell me exactly what or go into much detail. So instead of wasting your time, I thought I would just go ahead over there and see it! I wanted to go over the ocean anyway because there's a few people I know that talk about it all the time, so I could learn about it and see the sights and there's even a different language! Maybe make new allies for u-er, you! I could bring you back materials and see if there's anything interesting a-” A'khato held up a hand, which brought death to Kini’s words. She wrung her hands, but it wasn't until A'khato languidly rose to stand that her heart started to thrum wildly. His eyes were focused upon her and she could feel a clammy chill spread over her palms. “So you decided to take matters into your own hands and see to this place first yourself on my behalf? You want to explore Kugane and in return retrieve what you think I might want?” He took a small step forward as Kini quickly nodded, blinked and then shook her head. “Yes! No! I mean... you wanted to know of the place so I thought it'd be a good deal for you. I could go there like I've kinda wanted to since I heard about and then you wouldn't ha-” Quick like a viper, A'khato's hand shot out to claim Kini's throat. His fingers curled to dig into her slim neck and he forced her forward and closer to him, nearly dragging her in the process. Absolute dread drenched Kini upon realizing her own blunder, but her throat was already too tight for her to squeak out any further words. Her trained reactions went against instinct. Hands remained at her sides and she kept her eyes staring up at him, not resisting even as her tail squirmed in the air. Was this it? Was this the time he'd take it all back? “A deal for me. Do you think I'm an idiot, Kini? This is what you’re bothering me with?” He snarled as he leaned forward and dragged her up just enough that she could feel his breath upon her face and those glittered eyes of his filled her vision. “I don't want to have to keep reminding you, but you keep making mistakes. Do better.” Kini struggled to nod her head as she felt herself become light headed. It was a struggle to stay on her toes, but the uncomfortable position made it easier to focus on other things when a loud popping noise was accompanied by an explosion of pain. She almost screamed, but maybe it hadn’t been as bad as before. Her brother was right though. He shouldn't have to keep reminding her, but at least she was quickly beginning to remember.

A Divine Cascade
Glist'ing drops Splashing into fine mist— I become one with the waterfall. Feeling joy As droplets kiss my face And enter my soul’s most sacred place. While You Sleep
While you sleep I tell you all of the things I keep inside throughout day. Now that you can hear but not listen I find them much easier to say. My hopes, my dreams, my fears, and everything in between Your subconscious hears so keen, or so it seems. My tongue is soft; I speak so sweetly Knowing your reaction will never greet me. Tonight will be different in what I want you to know. It has everything to do with what I can’t help but show. I hold no claim to any religion but you’ve given me a place for my faith. Somewhere it will never stale or lose its lavish taste. You’ve shown me something I can see, touch, and feel, And so before it I choose to kneel. I know I don’t say it but I miss you every day. Sitting, thinking of the perfect words to be my choice, Yet when you call I can’t find any of the right words to say. I’m just happy to finally hear your voice. Even just a moment is enough to sooth my heavy heart; Fearing the ends of conversations knowing we’ll have to part. I’ll never be too far from you, always within arm’s reach, And in your days of darkness I’ll be the light that you will seek. I’ll never let you leave too far from me, I’ll stay close behind you in this world; Secretly protecting what is mine, you will always be my girl. I only want the best for you so the best of me I will employ. Faithfully yours, I will always be your boy. I close my eyes and kiss your soft sweet lips And see the very best of you in loving bliss. I see past the physical which makes you attractive And focus on the things I can’t see in which I’m attracted. Your thoughts I’d love to hear them all. Of the things you speak disinterest never makes its call. My day will come, I know someday I’ll be the only one. And you I will pursue viciously, Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give, to love unconditionally. Yes our day will come, I know someday we’ll be as one. And you I will pursue viciously, Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give… to love unconditionally.

The Most beautiful Place
O Most beautiful of places like a whisper read me..if you read me...in hushed tones "Lace and fineness" not for me Sweet salty sea and a sand colored shore the lines are long..slender.smooth..an ever horizon upon which I rise the hills and valleys are silken paleness sheened by light a channel runs down the middle to a small perfect fount into which I dip my spirit and am purified baptized...cleansed of all earthly things I rest..but for a moment for there is a mysterious forest beyond plush..warm and verdant and beyond that..lies the source of all evil..and good I am Eve I am the garden... and you are my soul's seed..the forbidden apple that awakens I am the ocean ...come to rock me you turn me from stone to ice...from ice to rain...from rain to river...from river to sea...from sea to light...from light to dark...from dark to illuminati that I may forever rise and rise again upon your perfect pale shore and come to understand...the true value of all things

Hugs
Teenage Girls clad in the latest fashions, Do it whenever they meet, Grown men aren't afraid to show some passion, When their team's comeback is complete, They can say hello, they can say goodbye, And anything inbetween, If you open your arms and crack a smile, There is nothing that a hug cannot mean.

Over the sea galloping upon waves in the swift uplifting rush of the tide Chariots of fire blush red the rose swept up by the whirlwind holding a breathless whisper Upon these foundations the rock stands sings out one bird of valuable beauty sweet music echoing deeply through the voice of a Heavenly choir Oh gracious gemstone you are the fruit of loves light who pierces the deepest crevices of one's mind In a castle of dreams fringed with gold bring me a bow of burning incense Fragrantly it blossoms in the mind Consuming divine fire I come and bow down to your Heavenly being (Unrhymed Quatrain) Co written by Maria Mc Laughlin and Liam Mc Daid

Sea impression
Wave a sea softened and a pain and a tenderness throw dreams in fascination of the blue. And let shave the waves of Your eternity , oh, weigh above me, oh,weigh a coast of years. Carry far in azure, spiral ships, with bulging little abdomens, flutter with mahagony pinions and already in vain expect you to stop the scales harbours with hot flames for You are open. Far away, far away ,far away, stretched string, heart and frank await the hymn of June. All sea sisters are dressed in mother-of-pearl garment embroidered of kiss of eternity In the morning hunts them fishermen and revive with breath of their man’s hands. In the evening girls wash

A Divine Cascade
Glist'ing drops Splashing into fine mist— I become one with the waterfall. Feeling joy As droplets kiss my face And enter my soul’s most sacred place. Crystalline, Anointing me with love, Sustaining all life forms on the Earth. Gratitude For each divine droplet; A cascading veil of purity. © Connie Marcum Wong Contest: Some Form of Crystalline sponsored by Nette Onclaud November 3, 2014

Intoxicating wordless Sound
Seeking the solace in its voice As it sings and serenades. Intoxicating wordless sound Carried along on air currents, Transforms wind to song. Mellow notes with breathless voice Plays like a lovers embrace. Deep earthy sounds perceived by ear. Romancing my heart through song, An alluring sound from the flute.

Cut By The Knife
I am young I am old I am soft I am bold I can laugh I can cry I can quit Still, I can try Days they pass Turn to night Then come dreams Lost in flight Can't change the world Can't stop the rain But if I could I would end all of the pain For I am one In all that exist Throughout the years Throughout the mist Yet here comes my chance Or so goes my life Caught by the windmill.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ....Cut by the knife ~

Princess Philomena 1
She who is the light and hope in love complete I kneel in your grace A story that really gripped me deeply as my mother told me with such pride in her voice Protectress of the most Holy living rosary she has preformed countless miracles A young virgin who was martyred at the age of 13 She willingly gave her life to the heavenly sacrifice daughter of light you shine heroic Blessed with the virtues of purity, obedience and humility the anchor of hope in deep dark despair I promised someone really dear to me precious in my heart with love to write this story She was the daughter of a prince stunning beautiful coming from a small state in Greece who her family became Christians in baptism she became the daughter off, light One day while in the city the family went for an audience with the great emperor, when he saw her he appeared possessed in his mannerism during the whole time within conversations Now her father was dazzled with his honor he willingly accepted his proposal of marriage her father and mother tried everything to induce her to yield to their demands she turned to them and said I never break a promise once made in the one she had made to Jesus saying her virginity belongs to him No longer can I dispose of it They tried everything in their power her father began attacking her in his own shame in violent rage and anger and her mother tried to induce her to yield they tried everything with her that was possibly know to them Until both her parents fell on their knees begging with tears that were overwhelming their eyes pleading with her to please take pity on them No was her answer final on the subject she had vowed herself to God and her kingdom is in Heaven She was brought before the emperor at the time he flew into a mad violent fit of anger mixed with rage influenced by the devil himself He flung her into the palace prison thinking to himself with pain and suffering and with great shame in her courage he constantly attacked her some which were almost fatal to her purity of blessing had it not been for the hand and grace of God Her prayers supported her those she made to the love of Jesus and to her most holy mother with her only son now being held in captivity 37 days in total always in a heavenly mist of light Our Blessed most Holy Mother supreme through the eyes of all women bride of our Lord the Father God the creator our Blessed Mother appeared in a vision this story continues on next write 3 chapters this all held me captive
