i love fucking sharing my wips and i am fucking cooking tonight, fellas. so have some lucanis x emmrich angst that will, if things align, eventually be a lucanis x emmrich x rook x spite polycule fic that is just these four messily falling together after Lucanis accidentally spills the beans about his crush on Emmrich while recovering from a near-fatal blow (that he got protecting said necromancer ;) )

CONTENT WARNINGS FOR THE EXCERPT: fairly graphic descriptions of healing magic, some blood mentioned, overarching theme of dying (but no one is actually dying it's just a plot device)
