Seafarer ask anon here and oughhh that last pic of him and Artificer is so cute! But does that mean that they like got separated at one point? Or do slugcat parents kinda just leave in your interpretation?

they do kinda just leave at some point, but Arti left very very early on. i feel like she would be the kind of slugcat that got chased away from a lot of packs, so she isn't very... Capable or Knowledgable when it comes to emotions and such and the commitment the pups posed scared her away from Seaf. so she disappeared with the kids (too attached as a mom to leave them with him) while he was out collecting food and oh Boy he was horrified when he came back n everyone was gone. searched for them for a long time, but Arti is a fast one n had a direct path she went while he had to comb around

it's why when he found Tim & Tam as little abandoned scav kits he immediately took them in- the pups left a hole in his heart

he doesn't have it in him to be angry with Artificer even if he's hurt tho, he's very much her polar opposite and just. does not do anger and grudges
