so i was thinking again about Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede (and about all my dashed childhood hopes & dreams), and i remembered how happy i was as a kid reading this book. i still really love these characters, and in my mind they lived happily ever after in domestic bliss, beauty & the beast style. 

so here’s some sketches of them, a little older together. i like to think they would have gotten their new royal lair all cozy and homey after a while. Kazul’s design here is loosely based off of Tim Hildebrandt’s art, as i always thought it was the most accurate to her description!
