There's this one user that makes me really uncomfortable... They constantly talk about how many bytes they have, practically obsessing over them and acting like everything should be byte only. They use a lot of guilt trippy language too. It's so awkward and I hate wanting to use a channel only to see them there

It was kind of just a random ask thrown in there among the general chaos when we all realized BMC AU was gonna be a thing, but *do* you think Franziska's squip would tell her to get rid of the whip?
(( 1000% Yes, absolutely the Squip tells her to get rid of it. It’s so obviously a safety item and a means of compensating and considered unnecessary and childish.
M!Squip is more aggressive about it, more condescending as it instructs her to discard the whip. It doesn’t offer alternatives as it refuses to indulge any nervous ticks. Franziska tends to be less expressive in this verse with the Squip constantly scolding her temper and outbursts.
B!Squip still tells her to not use the whip, but does try to help build the interpersonal skills the whip was attempting to replace. It doesn’t exactly approve of fidgets as it displays a certain amount of nerves ( b!Squip ain’t perfect either ), but ultimately outside of saying not to, it cannot enforce much. Additionally it does also try to work with her temper but concedes some amount of emotional maneuverability and is honestly stuck to just complaining and scolding afterwards if Franziska really gets it in her head to Fight.
Essentially M!Squip looked at the goal of “I want my father to love me” and the change to “I want to surpass my brother and earn my name” and went ‘clearly getting her to emulate the idealized version of her father she has is the way to go’. Be cold, impassive, unshakable, unwavering, and perfect.
B!Squip looked at those goals and went ‘NOPE FUCK THAT’. It does lack the emotional intelligence necessary to truly tackle Franziska’s issues, but it does recognize her fear of becoming Manfred and tries to steer her away from that. It doesn’t always succeed, certainly, it makes mistakes and doesn’t quite understand that some of its court advice can be ruthless and harsh and also it is not a fucking philosopher and so does define prosecuting as attempting to find a defendant guilty. But it tries and it worries and it denies that worry because it wouldn’t be a book Squip w/o that good sentience denial. ))
