#i can't find it in myself to get jinx to the point where she was at the start of act3

(edit : adding a read more bc this is too long actually)
ok but they could have just. changed a little the vander|warwick storyline and solved a lot of thing : just delay it a little by having vi finding him
get :
jinx merging silco and vander's philosophy in "i want isha safe. she will never be safe until zaun is free" - and accidentally going back to that scene of silco and vander promising to make zaun a reality for vi. she doesn't want this whole leader/symbol thing. she's still mourning and purposeless - but less so.
ekko getting back in this is very good because he's more or less ready to work with jinx as she is now just as she becomes ready to fight for something
vi getting warwick to viktor and realizing that he's not unmeshing the entangled psyche of vander and the beast - he's removing from vander the aspects he deems imperfect. might even spark a realization about the way she's dividing her sister into the good 'powder' and the bad 'jinx'
caitlyn and jayce, at their lowest, offering a mirror to each other about the way their privilege made them fuck up. jayce seeing where his failings could have lead him in her (when he just saw where viktor's failings could lead him), while this altered version of her brother, who she can't recognize, forces caitlyn to confront how she has changed and not for the better
they either have a screaming match or they comfort each other before starting to fix their fuck ups
which at this point is easier said than done. but also - jayce needs to find viktor. caitlyn needs to find vi.
...which lead us to the end of arc 2 if you add ambessa tracking down warwick. or not ! i think it might be good to let the hextech threat and the ambessa threat be separate, if we get to a point where zaun's independance is a possibility again. on one hand : a zaunite scientist is committing atrocities under the cover of helping in zaun. if zaun can't deal with it before it impacts piltover, piltover is going to 1) consider them incompetent to manage their own 2) consider them degenerates who go against the laws of science and nature. but piltover is distracted by ambessa turning on them, and they can't deal with zaun anymore. they might even need zaun's help, which they're going to have to negotiate for because noxus or piltover makes no difference to zaun, and without the existential threat of the glorious evolution they do not have any incentive to help.
anyway on the piltover side you have caitlyn, understanding how far she let herself slip just as ambessa betrays her, and understandably more concerned by that threat, and jayce, who honestly has one thought in mind and it's save the love of his life
kill his former partner and destroy his own legacy, and so cares a lot more about that threat. let's have mel come into this, who has fresh insights into both and would very much to rest after her ordeal rather than having to deal with all that.
...i can totally see the negotiations stall while jayce sneak in to shoot viktor before dying with him and ekko and cait argue as a distraction for vi and jinx sneaking to ambessa and blowing her up.
that one works because one thing i love about the end of s2arc2 is that it's jayce&viktor's plotline imploding, fucking up the vi&jinx plotline just as it seemed things were finally good or on their way, mirroring how s1 ends on jinx' plotline imploding and fucking up jayce&viktor's plotline just as they were fixing things. that's why they need to fix each other external problems while fixing their own internal problems.
too bad i can't get to caitlyn getting to the conclusion of her arc "we cannot atone for the crimes we committed" (acknowledging both her fallibility and jinx' humanity ! that was very necessary!) to a jinx who. is at the bottom of her own arc, utterly convinced she can only causes the death of those she loves and uninterested into what anyone thinks she should do when (she thinks) she knows that the truth is that she should rot here where she can't hurt anyone. and if vi can't give up on her, then she needs to take herself out before her curse reaches vi. the disconnect would be hilarious if both sides weren't so heartwrenching.
mostly i want to avoid the zaun vs piltover plotline vanishing into thin air just after the liberation of stillwater by jinx leading. nowhere. might as well not have happened.
also the "entangled with the mind of the beast" was such a missed opportunity to point out how viktor is biased in a way that underlines the way the commune is off and leads naturally to "you always tried to fix what you thought was weaknesses [...] there is beauty in imperfections" (hopefully in a way that feels less like implying viktor should have just accepted living a short life in constant pain. which was such hypocrisy from jayce because the whole thing started because he couldn't accept that for viktor !)((especiallay since. i think part of the way it can work from jayce is if you lean into the part where s2!jayce succeeds for the same reason he errs in s1. if his weaknesses become his strengths even as his strengths are weakened (the leg, his mind being affected by the arcane)))

Why I don't feel disappointed by Vi's arc, but you might
Tumblr media
I usually have pretty strong and polarizing opinions when it comes to my takes on Arcane, but this is one where I wanna open up the discussion a bit more and invite people to my perspective, and it's fine if you don't see it this way.
I think there are two primary reasons why people feel disappointed by the arc of s2 Vi. The first, being that Vi had stronger voiced concerns about the state of Zaun in the first season. The second, being that she spent the whole show wanting to be with her sister and she didn't end up getting that.
Why I actually feel fulfilled in Vi's arc has to do with these two points, and I invite you to sit with what I have to say next.
Both of these parts of Vi have to do with her fatal flaw: her neglect of self.
We know two things based on what the creators have said about the show: the theme of Arcane is the cycle of violence, and the entire show was written together, instead of season 2 being written after season 1 production. From this, I can then ask: what do the creators want to tell their audience about this message, knowing they wrote it all out together, knowing the events of season 2 were very purposeful, using Vi as a conduit for that message?
If violence is a cycle, can one person defy it? No, of course not. At the start of Vi's arc, she wants to be a person that breaks it, though. She wants to change things in Zaun, wants a better life for her sister. As season 1 continues on, she wants to pick up where she left off with Powder without truly processing the gravity of the years between them. She thinks she can hold the world on her shoulders and fix any problem that comes her way. She thinks she can use her fists to make progress, thinks she can physically reach out and create change, but it only contributes to the cycle. And that's not because she's morally in the wrong when she does so, but she doesn't grasp yet that her fists can't fix everything. Vander tries to tell her as such in act 1, and it's a lesson that goes beyond just the literal application.
Vi's tendency to try and fix everything around her leads to her neglect of self. Inevitably, when you try to change things you have no control over, it leaves wounds. It leaves a person feeling like something is deeply wrong with them. And we watch Vi go down this spiral. I actually find myself really brokenhearted watching Vi in the first 2 acts, because I think she represents a lot of us: we see pain and devastation around us, but we don't know what the right thing to do is. We try different tactics and try to fix things and are left wondering why things feel worse than how they started.
I think that's something a lot of viewers could benefit to reflect on: I think in watching a show with strong political messaging, we yearn for a message that tells us the answers to these big problems. Truthfully, most of us don't have a fucking clue what we're doing. We want change but don't know how to see it through. That includes the writers. This isn't a show about the solution to political strife. It's about the cycle of violence. It's about not knowing how to change something that's been continuous throughout history in some form.
If we put ourselves in Vi's shoes, it would eventually take a toll on us to try and change something that isn't within our ability to change. Vi can't fix the problems in Zaun. Vi can't change the way time and distance and pain has warped her sister into someone else. In season 2 act 1, she's still trying to take responsibility for things that are outside of her control. She blames herself for the way Jinx has changed and has to tell herself that the only way to fix it is to end the cycle with her own fists. She teams up with Caitlyn because she's convinced herself it's the only way she can help. She sees how violence has devastated not only Zaun but innocents in Piltover as well, and she feels responsible for it.
BUT SHE IS NOT AT FAULT. And she cannot fix it any more than she could have created it.
Perhaps people may feel Vi's arc is lacking because they wanted to see more of her involvement in the revolution of Zaun. They wanted to see her be able to change the situation with her sister and for them to live happily together. But because of the circumstances surrounding both, for Vi to do so, she would inevitably lean into her fatal flaw. She cannot do either of those things without neglecting herself. That's not who she is.
The whole point of a character arc is for someone to be a changed person from beginning to end. If Vi starts out as someone passionate about enacting change to the point of self-destruction, what would a resolution for a character like that look like?
Vi needs to choose herself. Vi needs to release herself of the responsibility of changing the world. She can't do it. There are ways to contribute to positive change that don't involve putting the world on your shoulders, and Vi has yet to put herself first in any situation. Vi choosing love is how she does it.
Amanda Overton, one of the main writers that contributed to Vi's character and the Caitlyn and Vi dynamic and relationship, said about Vi: "If she has no one left to protect, she would fall in love". If Vi finally lets go of this crutch of hers to protect, to fight, to take responsibility for things that aren't her burden to bear, she would fall in love. She would finally be able to choose something for herself.
This is why I find her arc fulfilling. I feel like it's not an arc we really see a lot. It's not every day we have a character that starts out like the classic anime slash marvel protagonist, and instead of being the person that saves the world, they accept they're not a superhero and it's okay to choose love and personal happiness.
If it applies, and you're reading this, I want you to ask yourself: are you perhaps disappointed with her arc because you expected her to be the superhero? And would you be okay with accepting that she isn't and doesn't need to be? That it would be better for her to choose herself?

Drew Tanaka (Part 5)
Her afternoon is rudely interrupted by a fire breathing mechanical dragon landing right in the middle of the cabins.
While Clarisse orders her siblings in a battle formation, Drew makes sure Lacy and Mitchell are nowhere near the beast.
"DON'T SHOOT, WE COME IN PEACE." Someone yells from the dragon.
"LEO VALDEZ," Nyssa screams furiously, lowering her hammer, " What were you thinking bringing him here, on Camp's grounds ?!"
"I fixed him ! He's not a threat anymore," Leo proudly proclaims, "and I find our way of transportation !"
Hesitantly, all campers lower their weapons, still eyeing warily the dragon.
"What's his name ?" Jason asks.
"Festus ! His name is Festus."
"Sooo, we are going on quest on Happy the dragon ?" He arches an eyebrow, amused.
Leo nods and gestures him and Piper to climb.
"Come on guys, we need to go. We have a deadline to respect."
Jason's demeanour grows serious and Piper and he rush to get their bags before joining Leo on top of Festus.
"Good luck heroes, may you come back to us in one piece and with your quest accomplished !" Chiron wishes to them.
"Woah, that's not creepy at all. " Leo grumbles, " Come on Festus, vamonos !"
Under the campers's applauses and cheers, they soar in the sky.
Good luck McLean
"If they don't die, it's a miracle." Connor says next to her, "they have no training and no critical thinking it would seem. Who the fuck brings the dragon that almost paralysed your brother in the middle of Camp, where it could had kill us all ?"
""Don't jinx them Stoll, they don't need your bad luck."
"Eeeh, you're right. Got a cabin to save from burning down, see you later."
Drew goes back to her daily activities, Piper's absence not really noticeable.
Well, mostly.
It would seem her dear sister managed to convince Mitchell and Lacy not to listen to her anymore, something Drew would be quite proud of if her authority wasn't being contested.
"Why do you mean you want to stop archery ? You can't do that Lacy."
"But I suck at it ! My arrows don't even touch the target !" her sister whines, "Nyssa lets Harley skip archery, why can't I do it ?"
"Because Nyssa has a curse to deal with, I do not. So as long as I'm counsellor, you're not stopping archery."
"But-"
"No, no point in discussing this." She firmly says, daring Lacy to contradict once again.
Instead, her little sister's eyes shine.
"I hate you ! You're the meanest sister ever ! Silena was always kind with me."
"Silena tried to kill you," Drew says with a strained voice, restraining herself from screaming at a twelve years old girl, "That's not what I would call kind."
"Silena wouldn't ever hurt me ! But you did ! Making me wear the shoes of shame and always forcing me to do things I don't want to do."
"I'm protecting you-"
"You're hurting me !"
The pain in Lacy's voice makes her falter and she truly sees her little sister for the first time in long while.
The way her eyes are wet with tears, when was the last time she saw them sparkling ?
Or smiling, showing those horrid braces of hers ?
Who braided her hair ? It's bad work, strands of hair falling out from everywhere. Drew could make a better one with her eyes closed.
So why didn't she ?
"Lacy, I-"
what ?
I'm sorry ?
"I'm going back to Hermes Cabin and you can't stop me."
Without letting her answer, Lacy runs out of the cabin, probably to beg Connor and Travis to let her sleep in theirs.
You're hurting me !
No, no, no, she doesn't understand.
She's shielding her from the future pain.
Right ?
You're hurting me !
You're hurting me !
You're hurting me !
You're hurting me !
Stop, make it stop.
"I'm helping you !" she screams to no one, in the empty cabin.
"I'm..."
protecting
"myself."
The realisation, the truth she had buried deep down, comes out, ugly and sharp.
Pushing Mitchell and Lacy away, Heloise and Thomas too, all of that to prevent another Silena.
She wanted everyone to not like her so that when they leave her, she would not feel the pain.
She knows she's been mean but-
Had she been cruel ?
To her siblings ? The ones she loves deeply ?
Surely not
Making Lacy wear the shoes of shame.
Throwing out Mitchell's clothes.
Even Piper, who didn't really did anything to deserve that greeting.
Had she become what she hears ?
A cruel and heartless bitch ?
"Hum, Drew ?"
Connor is standing awkwardly at the door, looking very nervous.
"Lacy just asked me to, hum, sleep in my cabin tonight ? So, I wanted to ask, is everything okay ?"
"No, I've just come to the realisation that I'm a poison, rotting everything I touch." She says drily.
Immediately Connor rushes to her side, gently seating her on her bed before seating next to her.
"That's not true, look at me, Malcolm and Will ! No poison for us !"
That makes her laugh a little but the weight of Lacy's words did not lift that easily.
"I've been a true nightmare to my siblings, Connor. I treated them badly because I'm selfish, maybe I should give up my position as counsellor." She says bitterly, "Clearly I'm not up to the task."
"Drew," Connor's voice is serious, a rare occasion, "you are allowed to make mistakes and you are allowed to be selfish. We went through a war and we all have a way of coping. And the others, they don't understand our pain. It's not their older brother or sister that stabbed them in the back after promises of never hurting us."
"But Lacy and Mitchell don't hate Silena the way I do." she says miserably, hugging her knees closer," I think there's something wrong with me."
"Nothing is wrong with you, Drew. You haven't been allowed to grief like you should have, that's all. Nobody allowed you to hate Silena when you have the right to. It's not the same for me. Even though Luke is seen as a hero, he is still despised for his acts whereas your sister isn't."
Slowly, the burden on her shoulders becomes lighter.
"You're good at this, Stoll."
"I had time to practice," he gives her a lopsided smile, laughing when she nudges him.
"Come on, I'll lead you to Lacy, you two need to talk."
"She hates me."
"No, she just doesn't understand why you treated her like this. And she's right, you made a complete 360° after the war. And while it's clear for me why, Lacy is young and had arrived just one year before the battle of Manhattan. She doesn't have the full picture."
Drew sighs but allows Connor to bring her to Lacy.
Her little sister is at the beach, half heartedly drawing in the sand.
"Go on, apologise."
"Okay, Isabella, I'm going."
Connor rolls his eyes but dutifully leaves her alone with Lacy who only registers her presence when she seats next to her.
"Go away."
Drew flinches at her sister's firm voice but doesn't let it deter her.
"I want to tell you a story."
She smiles softly when she sees her sister perks up.
"Remember when I told you bedtimes stories ?"
"Yeah, those were nice."
"Do you want to hear another one ?"
"Does it end happily ?" Lacy asks, still hesitating.
"I hope so."
When her sister turns to face her, Drew takes it as a cue to begin.
"It's a story about two sisters named Celine and Maria. Maria was the youngest and she loved with all her heart Celine. But see, she discovered that Celine was working with the enemy-"
"Who is the enemy ?"
"-Lucas, and was feeding him informations about Maria's friends that lead to their death."
"Drew", Lacy frowns, "that story looks a lot like-"
"Let me finish, please. It's important you hear it entirely."
"Okay, I'm listening."
"When Celine died and the truth was exposed, no one put the blame on her except for Maria, who felt betrayed and deeply hurt. And so, she made a promise. To never let anyone get as close as Celine was to her, so that she would never feel that kind of pain again."
"Oh, Drew..." Lacy whispers shakily, "does Maria have other siblings ?"
"Yes, she does and-", her own voice breaks, "she loves them so much. But she was too selfish and in order to keep them away, she hurt them. It's something she regrets and will never forgive herself."
"Is that the end ?"
"Yes, but who knows ? It can change."
"Can I change it ?"
"Go ahead."
"Maria doesn't forgive herself but her sibling does, at least her little sister." Lacy tells her firmly, looking at her in the eyes. "Because she loves Maria a lot and despite the hurt she caused, she just wants her big sister back."
As soon as Lacy finishes, Drew hugs her tightly, allowing for the first time in long period to cry in front of someone else.
"I'm sorry Lacy, I'm so sorry sweetheart," she sobs, cradling Lacy in her arms.
"I forgive you, Drew but please, don't ever be mean like this again." her sister quietly asks.
"I won't, honey. I won't." She says, softly kissing her sister's hair.
"Now, let's go back to the cabin. Mitchell must be searching us and I won't tolerate sand much longer."
On the way back, she sees Connor from afar who raises an eyebrow questioningly.
His beaming smile when she picks up Lacy to give her a piggy ride, her little sister laughing loudly, settles a sense of calm in her heart.
Maybe she isn't a so bad big sister after all.
DREW ARC REDEMPTION >>>>>
I'm still going to make her fight Piper over the counsellor position but don't you worry, it's going to make sense when it happens.
Their relationship is far from friendly and Drew is still sour about Silena despite talking with Lacy.

The Fake Gryffindor - Neville Longbottom x Y/N Malfoy (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader finds herself caught up in a web of lies when she accidentally is mistaken for a Gryffindor. Soon she finds herself covering up lies for Draco and her family but she might just have a few secrets of her own.
Warnings: Tooth rotting fluff, light angst? (Probably more like hurt/comfort), Y/N lies a lot, and a curse word or two.
Notes: Y/N is Draco's twin. Y/N will have she/her pronouns. She's obviously going to look like Draco but occasionally will change that. In the occasions when she changes that I'll use (h/c) or (e/c). If you are blonde or have blue eyes just use whatever colors you'd like. I'll also use (Y/N/N) which means your nickname but that will make more sense later on.
I proofread this myself like four times but never asked anyone else to proofread. I'm sorry if this has any errors in it, just let me know and I'll fix them.
Tumblr media
You were deeply madly in love....with Neville Longbottom. You knew your family would never approve. He was not only a Gryffindor but also a blood traitor. But probably the worst of it was he was the son of Alice and Frank Longbottom. But had you just broken his heart? You knew your family wouldn't accept him but after everything you thought he maybe he'd accept you. You often asked yourself how the tiny affair all began and the answer is quite simple really. It all began from an inopportune duel between Draco and Harry in the corridor.
September 1995
It was common knowledge that the Malfoy Twins could almost always be found together. Sure, you had different friends but you'd always be found together like two peas in a pod. However, this common knowledge seemed to be lost on Harry Potter. "MALFOY!!!" He screeched as he ran down the hall and you both turned around. "I know you sabotaged Neville." Before either of you could say anything a jinx was being thrown your brother's way. Draco pulled out his wand and shot a jinx. All you could think was. "Where were all the professors at time like this?!" You heard both boys shoot another spell and they bounced off each other. One staining your robes the sickly colors of Gryffindor and the other causing Ron Weasley to sneeze bats. You were angry until you saw Ron then you could only laugh. When the Golden Trio walked away, you looked to your twin. "How do I fix this?" He shrugged in response. "I'm not sure...I think a switching spell? I'm struggling with that one." You gave him an annoyed look. He continues. "We don't have time to find a professor to help. But you can't be caught dead in that." He pointed his wand to your hair. "Do you trust me?"
"Of course."
"Colovaria." He spoke the word that changed the color of your robes and now your hair was (h/c).
"Oh, do my eyes too. I kind of think the stormy-grey blue won't go good with anything but our platinum blonde." You rambled and your brother rolled his eyes then pointed his wand to your eyes. "Colovaria." Now your eyes were (e/c) but soon enough this would need to be fixed and you'd look like a Malfoy again.
So Draco Malfoy walked alongside his sister towards nearest stairwell so they could get to lunch. To the untrained eye he was spending time with a Gryffindor but there were some who would know the truth just by their interactions. Neville Longbottom wasn't one of those people. He was rushing out of the potions classroom after a long lecture from Snape about blowing up his cauldron. His eyes were filled with tears. How could they not be? Snape was literally his boggart and you were fully prepared yell him to watch where he was going. But two things stopped you. One, you were pretty sure he had no clue who you were. Two, he was already in a frenzy from whatever your godfather said. “I’m so so so sorry!” Neville quickly apologized and you found yourself dumbstruck. He continued speaking. “Are you okay??” Neville quickly scans his eyes over you just to make sure. Neville Longbottom actually for the first time seemed like a person. Had you just thought differently because of your twin's perception of the chubby teen? "Umm...I'm fine." You looked more at Draco than Neville as if saying that you could take care of it. Draco shrugged and left; which left you alone with Neville. "Oh. So you aren't hurt? Sorry! Sorry!" Neville's cheeks turned bright red. You gave him a reassuring smile. You were no fool. You knew how he actually felt about you and your brother. But still you felt the need to comfort him. "You should calm down a little. Are you doing okay? You look a little freaked out." You tilt head to the side in questioning of his well being. Neville let out a deep breath. "No, I'm not okay. I just had a terrible class with Professor Snape!" You nod in understanding. You were in that class and Draco did indeed sabotage Neville's potion. But in all honesty, it probably would have blown up anyway because his potions partner was Seamus Finnigan. You were well aware that both boys were forced to stay after class. You didn't really know much more than that; except that you bumped into a seemingly distraught Neville. He turned his face away out of embarrassment shook his head at situation. Clearly, he was embarrassed of his fear. You felt an overwhelming amount of pity for him but you wanted to comfort him anyways. "Don't fret, I've got thick skin. You didn't hurt me." You reassure him again before quickly thinking on your toes in what you should say. "Yeah I saw that...I mean kind of. I left class when he'd asked you and Finnigan to stay back. No point in sticking around to listen Snape yell longer than I have to." He looks at you oddly so you just keep talking. "I just mean I was in potions just now. I can't say I'm surprised since it happens all the time. He yells at everyone. You don't have to be embarrassed about it." There seems to be a little nod of agreement at this and you remember something you've always hated. "You could be like Draco or Y/N and only be his favorite student because you're his godchild. Or you could be yourself and know that all you can do is your best." The way Snape picked his favorites sounded like nepotism and that's the only reason you hated it. It wasn't nepotism. You were actually always getting Os in Potions but it just sounded as such. Neville, however, seemed to be upset by your words of comfort. "I always try my best but it's never enough! He hates me!" He shook his head as a few tears fell down his cheeks. "Why does he hate me? Why? Did I do something to him?"
You were taken back by the reaction. You were a Malfoy. Malfoys didn't really do well with emotions. They were usually packed up on a shelf and never heard of again. Isn't that why Draco dated Pansy though? So he could feel...something? You knew you had to say something. "You didn't do anything." You glanced around real quick to make sure no one is listening before continuing "Listen, I shouldn't really say anything bad about him because he's...well you know. But I can't stand here and see one of the few people I actually think deserve respect cry so I'll be honest with you." You paused at your own words. Since when did you think Neville Longbottom deserved respect? It didn't matter. Shelf it. You continued on. "You didn't do anything wrong, Professor Snape is just a bitter old man. Don't let him get you down. Prove him wrong." Neville's sad expression turns into a determined look. The tears running down his cheeks were quickly wiped away by himself. "Y-you're right. You're totally right. The next time he insults me, I'm not going to let it affect me! I'm going to prove him wrong!" Neville says, sounding much more confident than how he usually is. The boost in Neville's confidence makes you smile brightly. "That's the spirit. You should put the same spirit in for anyone who insults you. You shouldn't let the opinions of others hurt you so much. Especially when they aren't true." Neville chuckles in response. "Thanks, I'll try. It's always easier to give advice than to accept it." You know he's right so you just offer a tiny shrug. But you didn't know his next words would feel like acid on your skin until you heard them. "I always get picked on at school. People call me names, laugh at my mistakes, make fun of me. It's horrible. It's always easier to believe those things than to believe I'm worthy." You find yourself trying to fix the past four years mistakes in one speech. "Well then don't believe what's easiest. Believe what the sorting hat already knows. The sorting hat is never wrong, you know? So if the sorting hat is never wrong then I believe it's in you, you just gotta believe it too." You smile again before giving a light laugh. "Well I should head off to find my friends so we can go to lunch. Hey, I'm not saying that you have to but if you want to when everyone is in the Great Hall for dinner, wanna come watch the sunset with me? It's my favorite time of day." Neville can't help but smile. "Yeah for sure. I'd love to watch the sunset with you. I didn't catch your name though." Neville's confidence is back again. You grin at him. "Because I didn't throw it. If you actually show up tonight, I'll tell you it. Bye, Longbottom." He says goodbye as well and heads off to The Great Hall. As soon as he's out of sight, you rush off to Slytherin Common room where you'd planned to hide out until you get help fixing Harry Potter's mess.
Tumblr media
When lunch was over, you found your godfather in his office and explained the situation. "You're both fools." He said monotonously. "It's a simple color changing spell. Same spell that caused the problem." He did the coloring changing spell to everything effected then sent you off to class. You looked like Y/N Malfoy again. But as for feeling like yourself, you didn't. You talked to Neville Longbottom without an hostility laced into your voice. It's a strange feeling. A feeling that had you dragging your feet through the halls of the castle. "Did anyone see the girl with Neville?" A voice asks from an empty classroom so you peak in. Dean Thomas must have asked because he has a curious look on his face. "Nah, Mate. But he seems to be in a much better mood since talking to her. He said she didn't give her name." Seamus confesses. "What house was she from? Because that narrows it down." Ron asks and your heartbeat picks up. They're talking about you. Neville told his friends about you. Hermione shrugs. "I think he'd told Harry she was a Gryffindor." Then the conversation shifts to 'Where is Harry anyways?' so you walk away. You just wanted to cheer Neville up. You invited him to watch the sunset with you because it's a nice thing to do. You didn't think he'd tell his friends about you. Oh, you were so screwed it wasn't funny. You have to talk to Draco during your next class. You just felt so lucky that your next class was Charms. You were pretty decent at Charms. You could half listen to Flitwick and still pass your O.W.L.s at the end of the school year.
You walked into class and dropped down aggressively next to your twin. You rolled your eyes at his confused cronies and even more confused girlfriend. "Crabbe...Goyle, get lost. Go sit with Nott or Zabini. I can't stand deal with any more idiots than I already have today." Goyle seems taken back by your tone. "Fuck, you're moody." Then the two rushed off before you could lash out at them. "Pansy, I'm sorry but I really need to talk to Draco about something private. Can you sit somewhere else? You can have him all to yourself the rest of the day. I swear I'll keep Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber away from you both." You negotiated like Draco wasn't sitting right there. "Deal." The other Slytherin girl replied; before she bounded off to sit and gossip with Daphne Greengrass. "Aren't you glad I sent her away?" You joked and Draco rolled his eyes. "What do you want?" You made a face. "Well....I made a snap decision and it may have been a bad one. And now I think I need your advice." Draco rolls his eyes. "Oh Merlin, what did you do?"
"That's the thing I felt an obligation to cheer up Longbottom."
"Why? It's just Longbottom. He can't even use his own wand right."
"Well for starters, I bumped into him and he apologized. He was already crying because of our Godfather. Our aunt drove his parents mad. Need I go on?" You give Draco an annoyed expression.
"No, continue."
"So I cheered him up...but then suddenly he was all upset again talking about how he's bullied all the time...it kinda made me feel bad."
"What did you do?'
"I invited him to watch the sunset with me. But I didn't tell him who I am."
"What were you going to do tell him when he showed up?" He chuckles and then suddenly stops. "Wait... seriously? That's a horrible plan." You nodded in agreement. "Especially now that I've heard all his friends talking about this Gryffindor girl that Neville mentioned and wouldn't you know he met her today, doesn't know her name, and she lifted his spirits." You relay to your brother and he raises an eyebrow at you. "So it's simple. Give him one night of whatever it is he needs from this little Gryffindor version of you then disappear off the face of the planet." You nod. "I can do that."
Tumblr media
After all the classes for the day ended, there was free time which you spent on reading. Shortly before it was time for dinner, you've changed into a warm sweater and a pair of jeans so you can stand the cool night air. However, the coloring changing spell has been used on your eyes and on your hair. You walk through the corridors of the school and make your way out of the building and sit next to black lake. All that you can do now is look at the sky and hope for the best. You even find yourself mumbling. "I hope he gets here before it starts to set."
A couple minutes later, you hear someone walk up behind you and stop next to you. "Beautiful, isn't it?" The person, you recognize it to be Neville, asks softly. He's looking at the sun which has only just begun to set. "I've always loved sunsets, they always make you think of where you are and where you're going." You think about how insightful that is as to who he is as a person. Then you remember why you came to love sunsets, you and Draco would watch them when you were small kids. "Yeah I love sunsets...they remind me there's beauty even in a world plagued by darkness. I think my brother and I really needed that growing up." You confess without giving anything away. "I wish more people appreciated them or at least simple things like it." Neville gives a soft and warm smile. "Yeah I agree. People take the small things for granted. The sunsets, the little moments in life. Those are the things that are most special in life. It helps remind you to live in the moment." You turn and look at him with a soft smile. You suddenly wonder if it'll break his heart to do what Draco said. You sigh at that thought you can't break his heart after everything your family, yourself included, has already done to him. You can just date him until the spark dies, right? But then again he never claimed to be in love with you. And of course your mind settles on Draco's plan. You plant a kiss on his cheek and resting your head on his shoulder A soft, comfortable silence hangs over the two.
For a second, you don't even realize that silence is coming from the fact he's surprised at the affectionate gesture. But by the time you're ready to move away and apologize for your actions, he's smiling back at you and hugging you close. You feel guilty that you're lying to him but you have to give him your name at some point. "My name is (Y/N/N)....(L/N)." You mutter. "A beautiful sunset, with a beautiful person. What more can you ask for?" He asks, kissing the top of your head. The guilt in your chest grows "You're so sweet if either us is a beautiful person. It's you. I have to admit something embarrassing. I spent my whole day thinking about meeting you here because cheering you up made me feel.... different. But then when the time finally came I thought you wouldn't show up. I'm glad you did." Your face turns red in embarrassment that you actually cared if you were stood up by a Gryffindor's running punchline. Neville smiles at you with a blush on his face. "I can't lie, I was kinda the same I was worried you might not show either. You're super nice, pretty, smart and funny. You could obviously spend time with anyone. Why me?" He responded.
At that moment there was only two questions you asked yourself. Neither question had an answer. "Do I feel bad for Neville Longbottom? Why would I?" You finally found your voice after a long pause and laughed slightly. "Well I'm here and I'm not disappointed. I'm enjoying the company and the sunset." But you didn't feel the need to respond to all the attributes Neville claimed you had. It would just be hurtful to lie about how nice you were or what kind of humor you had. But you did feel terrible everytime you made him laugh. "I'm definitely not complaining about your company." Was he flirting? That should be a good thing, right? But it just made you want to trip him in the halls because where's that confidence when he needs to stand up himself? How could he flirt with a stranger but not stand up against his bullies? However, you'd never tripped him before and you wouldn't start now. In fact, you usually just repeated whatever nonsense Draco said.... often feeling guilty for it. Unless it was The Golden Trio, you never felt guilty about making fun of them. But just for today, you'd laugh along with him. Which is how you found yourself laughing and looking at him in shock. "I don't believe you are the same boy who just this morning was crying because Professor Snape was being a grade A twat. You sound so confident." You laugh some more. Neville smiles softly. "He just makes me so upset because I feel like people are always against me. I've just always been dealing with people making fun of me and being rude to me so I guess I just had to get it out." He lets out a small sigh and gives you a hug. You feel guilty when he gives you another reminder of how terrible you are to him. But even still, you offer a smile. "I'll never be against you especially if you continue to be this sweet. I think people treat you unfairly because you're a little clumsy and a little awkward. But being perfect is overrated. You're perfect by being yourself." You tell him but it's just you paraphrasing something your mother once told you. You continue on paraphrasing your mother. "And remember people like Snape don't define your worth. You do." It's honestly good advice that when you were thirteen you didn't want to hear. Who wants to hear that they are treated unfairly because of their own flaws? And then to make it worse told that they were perfect with the flaws everyone hated? You still thought it sounded silly but knew Narcissa Malfoy was rarely wrong. "And honestly I think you're worth more than Snape's opinion or anyone else's opinion. What's your opinion of yourself? And don't go with the easiest answer." You add with a bit of curiosity. Neville thinks deep about your question. He looks down at his shoes for a moment. He sighs. "Honestly, I don't have the best opinion of myself. People have always picked on me and put me down and I've gotten to the point where I just agree with their opinions of me. I know I should change that but it's hard sometimes. Do you really think I'm perfect by being myself?"
You mull over how to answer such a loaded question. No one was perfect. You knew that so the answer was no. But your Godfather, truth be told, terrified you. Maybe not as much as he scared Neville but certainly he did. You lived in a constant fear that the smallest slip up would mean direct owl to your parents and your fear of letting them down was all too real. So you decided maybe you should share another little piece of yourself with Neville. "Honestly, what I think is if the roles were reversed and I bumped into you this morning after being bullied by Snape I would have cried. Just bumping into you would have broke me. I wouldn't have held in whatever I was feeling in order to check if you were okay. But you checked on me, multiple times, before you let your own feelings out. Which makes you stronger and probably braver than I'll ever be." Neville's eyes light up, "I just always try to be kind to other people or at least not rude like some other people I know." His words stab you in the chest but he doesn't seem to notice as continues. "It's just a part of who I am, I guess." He looks back up at the sky. You seem to find yourself wanting to stay this pretend version of yourself and look at the sunset as well. "I hope this sunset never ends. You know....we could stay up just a little bit past curfew. It will be okay as long as no prefects or teachers catch us sneaking back in..." Neville's eyes light up with fear. "Are you sure that's not against the rules?" He asks with a his entire demeanor changing. You laugh a little. "Oh it's most definitely against the rules." You say; your eyes dancing with amusement at his fearful demeanor. Your Slytherin roots definitely showing as you continued. "But that doesn't mean it isn't worth the risk." You add but frown when you see he doesn't seem up for it. You decide to fix your mistake. "Well...maybe we shouldn't stay out too late. We still do have classes tomorrow. I don't want you falling asleep in Professor Snape's class and getting in trouble." He gets up and offers you a hand to help you up. "Just for that last comment, you get the honor of holding my hand while we walk back." He smiles sweetly at you. You feel something in you become disappointed as the last few minutes of the sunlight disappear behind the trees. You take his hand in yours as you get up. "Well then I'm honored to hold your hand. It's sad the sunset couldn't last forever." His hand feels is soft and warm; almost familiar. You also notice his hand is a little clammy, it seems he might be a little nervous. "Do you think we'd be able to be able to have a long term friendship?" You nervously bite your lip at your own question. His face grows into a huge smile and he looks you in the eyes. "Are you kidding me me? Of course!" He says, his voice being slightly shaky and quiet. He smiles nervously but he's obviously happy. You smile nervously, because of your very Slytherin secret, in return even though your tone of voice is happy. "I'm happy it's a yes. I don't know what I would have said if it was a no." He gives a soft laugh "Well, as long as you said something it'd be okay because it'd mean you're talking to me, which is something I would like." He says softly. "But let's not worry about that now. I feel like this is the start of great friendship."
Friends with Neville Longbottom....how bizarre... You sigh happily "Well, I guess you're ready to hear that I'm never comfortable with people so it's really weird and embarrassing for me to feel like I trust you." He frowns as you speak but by the end of your confession, he smiles. "I trust you, too. I mean, I can't believe I'm saying this. The most beautiful girl in Gryffindor wants to be my friend and now she says she feels comfortable around me? My jaw is literally on the floor." He laughs and the fact you're not actually a Gryffindor burns in your throat. "Only most beautiful in Gryffindor, huh? Who's the most beautiful in the school then? I'm not jealous, just curious." You raise your eyebrow. His eyes go wide at your question and he stammers in response. "How can there be someone more beautiful then you? That's impossible. It's you, it's you without a doubt." He blushes when he realizes he's rambling. "You're just... perfect." He whispers and you laugh a little at him. "I'm not perfect and I actually find enjoyment in knowing I'm not perfect." You notice that the two of suddenly fall into a rather comfortable silence as you walk back to the castle. You don't even mind when you two stop in the greenhouse so Neville could go in the greenhouse and check on a few plants he'd been helping Sprout maintain. Your mind is waterlogged with thoughts of how you can possibly approach him as yourself now...and the answer is you can't. You can't even bully him anymore. You'd made a promise that you would never be against him.
Tumblr media
You don't even realize as the portrait of The Fat Lady opens. You've just been trying your best to ignore getting caught by Flinch or a prefect. You suppose it'd be terrible if a professor caught you but you knew that you weren't yourself so who would go to your detention? You actually weren't too stressed about a prefect either; unless it was Draco. Draco knew you'd been with Neville. But the other prefects would just take the points from Gryffindor. You feel the overwhelming need to say something. "Maybe I will see in classes tomorrow. I don't really know your class schedule." You squeeze his hand gently as a goodbye. He nods as he listens to you. "That would be awesome! If we have classes together, I'll be sure to say hello." You in a silent confirmation of the plans that can never come to pass. You feel happy that he enjoys your company but you know he'd feel different if he knew who you are. You look around the Gryffindor common room with mild interest. After a moment, you cringe at red that surrounds you and the window that looks out to the sky. It's too home-y. You're used to the home that is the Slytherin common room. You love green aesthetic and the desolate lake that you stare out into through the windows. "Wow...we made it back to the common room already." You mutter but it's more out of distaste than wonder. He nods. "Yeah, we did get back pretty fast. Do you wanna head on up the stairs or would you like to spend more time just talking a bit?" He tilts his head as he says it. You're anxious to get out of the Gryffindor common room. "We both should get to bed. It's getting late. I'll see you in the morning." He nods and then whispers. "Yeah, I'll see you in the morning." As soon as he's up the stairs and on his way to his dorm, you rush out of that godforsaken common room. Thankful everything can go back to normal. "Okay now I just have to make it back to the Slytherin common room without being caught..." You mumble with a little sigh. But even as you reversed the color changing charm, you knew things would never be normal. You wanted to be Y/N/N L/N because she could keep promises that Y/N Malfoy couldn't....

I'm not sure if I already made a blog post about characters I believe to be part of the Asexual/Aromantic spectrum community but I'm bored and AO3 is down and I have a headache so I can't even attempt to write any of my fanfictions like I want to so here we go.
Starting off with my baby.
Ikkaku Madarame. I personally headcanon this wonderful man to be Demisexual. I would say he is aromantic but honestly I feel like a man who writes poetry. Yes, he writes poetry, and makes accessories for children, has a romantic side.
In the anime he has not once expressed interest in anyone, be it the most attractive woman or man, and yet... he is so in tune with Yumichika that he can recognize his laughter from across a battlefield while in the midst of a fight. So, yes, he is demi for Yumichika. The only one who he fully trusts and respects, such is the ways of a Demisexual.
Tumblr media
Moving on from this wonderful specimen of a man... we enter the world of dreams.
Yes. Dream of the Endless. The man of everyone's dreams and nightmares. The dude is so much of a Demisexual that it took thousands of years for him to even admit to himself that Hodge is his friend, let alone the potential of a future love interest. Yes. I know he has had romantic relationships in the past, and that he had a kid with a gorgeous woman. Demis still have sex. He trusted her enough that he came to her aid to save her. He just wants intimacy with someone but it takes him forever to trust and let someone in.
Tumblr media
Also, the dude has canonically turned into a black cat. Cats don't trust as easily as dogs.
Anyways. Moving on to a character that is canonically AroAce.
Isaac Henderson and this other kid that I don't know if we ever got a name from.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
I, too, would prefer books over being in a relationship but alas... with my personal health issues, I need someone to be somewhat intimate with.
Now... I have watched many, many shows and movies and I try to find myself in so many of them. I know. Weird. Trying to find relation in entertainment to better enjoy something. I can still watch and read things if I don't have someone like myself in there. Anyways...
Going into the world of MDZS.
Nie Huaisang.
This man is 100% an Asexual who thrives on finding queer platonic friendships.
Also. The guy has hyperfixations in birds, fans, art, and getting revenge for his older brother's murder.
Tumblr media
I love him. I can relate with hyperfixating, I cannot relate in the art of revenge. His level of dedication is unmatched.
Moving on.
Arcane is something I'm currently obsessing over so... let's dive into the world of headcanons since everyone has a million and no one knows for sure what is Canon.
Viktor. My man. The Jesus of Hextech.
Tumblr media
It took getting rid of his emotions to realize that Jayce was the only one he ever wanted but it was too late. Such a doomed situationship. Anyways. I think of him as an asexual who valued companionship and wanted that intimacy. Again. With Jayce. The himbo who didn't realize what he lost until he lost it twice.
Hot take... and I could be completely wrong... but Jinx, herself.
Tumblr media
I think if it came down to it. She would have sex but she hates physical intimacy. To the point where the only ones she willingly ever approached for human contact were Vi, Isha, Vander and Silco. Her found family that she had no romantic or sexual feelings for. I know alot of people ship her and Ekko. I can see it. But the girl is traumatized and has so many mental health problems. Maybe more of a Gray ace/Aego spectrum?
Speaking of. Let's talk about Silco.
Tumblr media
I think he would be Asexual. Similar to Jinx if I'm being honest. He would be open to that level of intimacy, with the right people. But he has never had that kind of connection with anyone besides, possibly Vander. But... that situationship ended in tragedy and bitter feelings so... yep. Welcome to the Ace community, my love.
Ignoring that and moving on...
RWBY.
Miss Ruby herself.
Tumblr media
Honestly. She needs that level of connection and trust before she would even consider that form of intimacy. If she ever thought about it. Which. I don't think she does.
Ending with my main girl... Neopolitan, would be a Demiromantic Ace. She has romantic feelings for Torchwick. But that's it. Girl really chose to become one with a mystical tree so she could finally move on from him.
Tumblr media
There are plenty of more. Penny Polendina from RWBY. Castiel from Supernatural. The only one confirmed on this list is Isaac but, I mean. Come on. Look at all these neurodivergent, lovely people and tell me otherwise.

A New Week and New Drama🔪

Warnings: Ayato imagines killing Kizano, but he doesn't do anything to him
Text message labels:
Bold - Ayato
Red text - Info-Chan
Tumblr media
When I walk into school, I'm met with even more talking than usual.
"Oh my God, did you hear?"
"Is he really back?"
"I went to his performance, and it was amazing!"
The chattering dies down as people leave the locker area, but I'm left confused about who they're talking about.
I met up with Taro in the courtyard, and we set at our usual bench.
"Have you heard who's back, Ayato?" Taro asks me once I take a seat.
"No."
"It's Kizano."
"Who?"
"I was expecting that answer from you. He's the leader of the drama club, and he came back from a recent play he stared in. My sister went to it, and she really liked it."
Taeko went somewhere...
I always expect her to stay inside, I didn't think that this would happen. Who did she go with? Where was it? Was everything okay?
I really didn't consider this at all.
I should've taken better care of her, but I've been so caught up with eliminating Amao that I forgot to protect the one I love the most.
I won't let it happen again.
"Are you still with me, Ayato?" Taro asks with worry.
"Yeah..."
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
The day goes on as usual. I ended up seeing Taeko and (Y/N) this time around, unlike last Friday.
I really have gotten sloppy with taking care of Taeko. I need to keep a watchful eye on her from now on.
It's lunchtime now, and I leave my class to go to the courtyard with Taro. As I walk out of my class, I see a boy with purple hair walk past me with a group of students following behind him.
"Darlings, you must quiet down. I know you all missed me, but I must go and eat now," he says to the group of students as he walks down the stairs.
That's him, huh?
He seems snobbish, but as long as he doesn't try to go after my Senpai, he'll be safe.
Hopefully, I can confess this Friday since Amao is out of the picture. I found out that after the incident, he moved schools. I doubt he'll have time to pursue Taeko at this point.
As I walk down the stairs, my phone vibrates. It has to be Info. When I reach the last steps of the stairs, I take out my phone and check it.
I was right. It's Info.
You need to know something.
What is it?
Kizano is your next rival.
Did I really just jinx myself? I thought he was too full of himself that he wouldn't have room for anyone else, but I guess I was wrong.
How did you find this out?
I'm just at the right places at the right time
I can't help but roll my eyes. How is she everywhere? I shut off my phone, but another vibrate stops me from putting it away.
Don't be quick now.
Why?
I have extra information.
Tell.
Kizano isn't just fixated on Taeko. He has a history of being someone who doesn't date for long. Taeko will just be a phase, but you need to be the one to make him realize that sooner than later.
An idea immediately pops up in my mind: Match making. I should match Kizano with someone else, but I have to get close to Kizano before I match-make him with someone.
I decide to follow Kizano around until he is alone. When he enters the drama club, most of his fans leave to go eat their lunch.
I walk into the club, and I see Kizano standing in front of a mini set, practicing his lines.
He notices me walk in and stops. His attention is all on me.
"Hello, darling! Did my marvelous acting bring you here? You can sit and watch. I am in need of an audience."
I accept his invention and sit down on one of the nearby chairs. Once I sit down, he starts to perform from the start.
I don't pay much attention to his performance, but instead, I'm planning on what to do after he stops. Should I just ask him straight away if he needs help, or should I build up his trust?
I see Kizano take a bow, and I take it as my que to start clapping.
"How did I do, darling?" He asks me as he goes to grab a bottle of water from a nearby table.
"I thought it was amazing, but what are you practicing for?"
"Since you decided to watch, I'll tell you, but you must not tell another soul, got it?"
I nod my head.
"I need you to use your voice, darling."
I want to roll my eyes, but I work against it. I respond with a small 'promise'.
"Good! The drama club is working on our own rendition of Alice in Wonderland! I'm taking the role of the Queen of Hearts, but in this case it would be the King of Hearts," Kizano lets out an airy chuckle, but his laugh slowly dies down, "but we are having a few troubles. We're having a hard time making the costumes. It would be rather nice to have someone who could help us."
"I could help," I tell him. Once the words leave my lips, I can see a smile spread on his face.
"Really, darling? That would be wonderful! I'll give you what you need, but I expect everything to be done quickly," he orders me.
I see Kizano put his water bottle down and go behind the set. When he is out of view, I can't help but let out a sigh. It's one made out of frustration, but I've come too far to give up.
Kizano comes back and gives me everything I need. He gives me a list of materials, sketches of how the final products should look like, and measurements for each of the costumes.
I give him a nod before walking out of the clubroom. After I leave, I'm left with a new dilemma. How am I going to do this? I don't know how to sew, so I need to find someone who can.
I wonder if that boy is still there?
I go over to the sewing room and slide open the door. Inside of the sewing room, I see a boy with messy brown hair located in the corner of the room.
I put everything down on a nearby table. I then go over to the boy and tap him on the shoulder.
He jumps at my touch and looks up towards me.
"Y-yes!?" He stutters out with a look of surprise on his face.
"I need your help," I tell him, "I'll help you with anything, but I need your help to sew."
"O-okay!"
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
"These are just marvelous! You have outdone yourself, Aishi!" Kizano exclames as he looks at himself in the mirror, admiring his red cape and suit.
"Thank you," I tell him, accepting his compliment.
"I greatly owe you one, Aishi! How about I give you front row tickets to the play?" Kizano proposes to me.
The gears in my brain turn with intensity at the thought of sabotaging the play. I can't help but imagine the screams of horror coming from the audience as they see one of the stage lights fall atop of Kizano's body and crush him.
But I can't. I can't kill anybody until the time is right. I need to be passive if I want to have a chance with being with my Senpai.
"How about becoming friends?" I offer instead.
"Friends? I don't mind that as long as you can be a good one to me."
"And how can I be a good friend?"
"Well, you see," Kizano starts off, "Almost all the roles in the play are filled up, key word: almost. I still haven't been able to find the perfect Alice. No one who has auditioned is able to capture her presence. I hate to admit it, but I'm getting desperate. I don't care if it's a boy or girl, I just need the perfect Alice!"
Kizano goes on to tell me the requirements for someone to be considered Alice.
And I can't help but to think of a certain someone...
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
"I need your help."
Taro looks up at me with a look of confusion on his face as he packs up his things.
"What is it, Ayato?"
"I need you to talk to (Y/N) for me."
"Why? Isn't he your friend?"
"We got into a fight, so we aren't on good terms."
Taro lets out a sigh, "Fine, what do you want me to tell him?"
"I talked with Kizano today, and he needs someone to play the main lead in his new play, and I think (Y/N) would be the best one for the role," I explain to Taro.
"You talked with Kizano? Well, I'll help you, but how do I do it?"
"Just tell him to go to the drama club tomorrow, I already told Kizano about it."
"Got it."

I do not know how I feel about the treatment of my boy. They're not done with him yet, though I guess they're done with that iteration of him... I'm pretty sure there are two separate Vanitases and Replikus? I'll get to that later, I suppose. I loved it when Sora basically called him a weirdo.
I didn't think Arendelle was so bad! Then I realized what I thought was the final boss was actually the mid-boss. It was terrible. If I had to pick which between it and Toy Box was worse, I'd have to just look up whichever takes longer on average.
As amazing as the Caribbean looks, I really hate it when you spend most of a world doing a gimmick instead of the usual combat system. Sure, I don't love the combat in this game, but it's better than using mechs or ships. Now I have to find more crabs so I can level up the ship. I think.
The Caribbean really didn't need to be this expansive. It's cool, I guess, but it makes all the other worlds look quite embarrassing. And, again... Couldn't we have used a little of this disc space for more Twilight Town??
Something seems weirdly off about the writing in this game... I can't really point out what it is. While I love what I've seen of Kairi so far, Sora... I love his writing and I also hate it. It's fairly obvious that he's hiding his true feelings from his friends, who are constantly making fun of him. I really hope that builds up to something satisfying. I also feel like he's overly exuberant in this game? At the start, I thought maybe he was still trying to seem cheerful after failing the Mark of Mastery and almost falling to darkness and all that. But it's continued far into the game, during points where he'd have no reason to mask any deeper emotions. If most of his weirdness is building up to something, I'm excited to see what it is.
I'm not sure what's up with Riku, or even if there is something up with him. My pet theory is that the end of Dream Drop drove an unfortunate wedge between Sora and Riku. (Either that, or this is really weird writing.) We see this separation in-game literally when Sora's forbidden from joining Riku and Mickey to the Realm of Darkness, but we also see it emotionally with Sora's frustration that Riku and the King didn't wait for him. Riku's often the one to start making fun of Sora in the many scenes where everybody dogpiles on him. Sora was super touchy and glad to see Riku before the exam results (and everyone's reactions to them), and now he doesn't seem excited or happy at all when Riku enters the room. (He was, of course, hoping it was Riku calling that one time it was Ienzo, and there is the moment where Riku pacifies him with his hand on his shoulder. But I digress.) Something is off with them now... "Better not let us down," Riku said earlier in the game. Is he kicking Sora while he's down, or is he teasing to try and motivate him like old times? Once more--I hope they explore this further, or I'll feel like I imagined all of this depth! (If it's not explored, I'll probably make a post on it. Or try to find one, at the very least.)
Various other notes: I like Luxord's Nobody earring. I don't like Luxord's official (?) name pronunciation. Larxene's laugh is everything. She is everything. And I was so happy to see Demyx again... There is still good in this world. Oh! And Pooh wants us to be "together forever", but I think he should be less concerned with my whereabouts and more concerned with his rapidly shrinking world. Seriously, it's just a garden now!
In conclusion... I fear I have jinxed myself once again. Definitely not my favorite in the series.
About to play KHIII for the first time... I'm way too emotional for this. The last game in the series before I'm all caught up....... I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it's not another side game!

Some initial Midnights by Taylor Swift thoughts.
AMAZING album. Standard album is no obvious skips(I've listened to the 3am songs like 1-2 each and I can tell I like them less). Might be mood skips, but no horrible skips or emotional ones.
But for this blog(And I know NO ONE CARES about this)
Midnight Rain is Thrawn and Thalias. It hit me this morning and it's perfect and sad. She's sunshine and wants a peaceful life and only signed up for war to see him from afar and he's midnight rain and wants the pain and military gain until his town is a wasteland to him.
Snow on the Beach reminds me simultaneously of Tarkin/TK-421 and Kalluzeb. I think more Kalluzeb. Like the more I think about it, the narrator seems so Kal. Life is emotionally abusive, having to smile and fake it through normal life, so taken by his lover, comparing them to space events(Can I say Bahryn meteorite anyone?), but so unbelieving they want him back, scared to jinx it. But Zeb loves him, is all in for this weird but fucking beautiful love.
Yeah, no SOTB is Kallus.
But also weird but fucking beautiful is also a really good way to describe Tarkin-TK-421 in my headcanon. I mean stormtrooper/grand moff? Weird. But they're laughing deep into the night and it's so beautiful. And the "My flight was awful thanks for asking, I'm unglued thanks to you." Seems like something Tarkin would say to Sev after having to leave for business and then coming back and having missed him and being exhausted.
But for pure Sevastian and Wilhuff love, "You would break your back to see me break a smile" is pure Sev/TK-421 warmth and love for Tarkin in my headcanon. And Labyrinth hits just cause Tarkin opens up to Sev about his past and fears??? Also finding love after Vader destorys Tarkin past the point where he won't love like this again.
Vigilante Shit is Andor Mon Mothma and it fucking slays
And Mastermind is canon Of MSE-6 and Men. From the second they see each other's faces, they're plotting to get each other in bed. To gain, and they know what the other wants, and Tarkin is plotting for life.
I legit need to fix the slow cooker meal for tonight and I want to listen to the bonus tracks but I can't pull myself away from the standard tracks.
Last thought: Mayhaps Maroon is Imperial era Vadarkin????

Jinx's abandonment issues
Spinning off the discussion about how Jinx reacts to people leaving her.
@embershroud108
Tumblr media
You know, when you first write this I nodded along "you know, that's a fair point", but now that I think about it more, I have some doubts.
Yes, Vi was going on a dangerous mission, but
1.) Vi herself underestimates the mission and Powder has even less information on how dangerous the mission actually is
2.) The factor that Powder's emotions here are a mix of being upset at being left and being upset that she is seen as weak to me also suggests that she sees this still as a "finally prove myself" type of mission as opposed to thinking of the danger mission. A chance for clout.
And the interesting thing about Vi's second "leaving" of Powder has always been to me how Jinx/Powder's mind instantly switches latches on to leaving.
First Powder is excited that her bomb worked:
Tumblr media
She then sees that Vi isn't happy/hears Vi's "You did this?", sees Vander's body, sees the Claggor goggles, launches into a defense.
Vi: Why? Why did you do this? Jinx: I... I didn't... I was saving you. I only wanted to help. I only wanted to help. I only wanted to help. I only wanted to...
I find it interesting in Powder's body language here that to me in this part she is sort of ... recoiling? But from different directions, not necessarily Vi, like she is defending herself from invisible accusers. She tucks in her chin.
Tumblr media
But when she turns to Vi, she pushed herself towards Vi, chin forward, more aggressive, a proactive justifying herself defense. More... petulant? (sorry, vocabulary not my strongest suit
Tumblr media
More tinging into anger almost.
Tumblr media
Vi then gets upset (" I told you to stay away.") and slaps her.
(before the slap we have Powder plead for understanding)
Tumblr media
After the slap we have her first reaction be this:
Tumblr media
Then of course with Silco we also have her summary of the events be " She left me. She is not my sister anymore."
Combined with anger (pan into her angry eye).
And I talked about before that when they reunite this is also the first thing Vi zeroes in ("I tried to come back. I promise, I did", " You're not a jinx. God, I never should have... ", "I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to abandon you again. "
Plus me reading the "she wouldn't do that again" being about Vi leaving her. Simply because she means that she can't be thinking of Silco or Mylo. Her meaning Cait doesn't make a ton of sense, why would Jinx be invested in that. And we have never see Vi loving or choosing somebody else over Powder be much of a factor before, so the "again" wouldn't make a ton of sense I feel.
Again I find that the "She wouldn't do that. Not again." is a line that I tend to rate rather highly as to me it implies kind of a larger context of feelings, such as Jinx was disappointed by a previous choice Vi made. (much like I take some of what Jinx says in the dinner scene and read some longer resentment out of it, I read some resentment against Vi out of this line as well)
There is also this factor that to me "leaving" is very much Jinx's words while "betrayal" is very much Silco's word. Like when she describes what happened between Silco and Vander, this is how she sums it up "He turned his back on you" and "when Vander left him"). To me that suggests that this is a major lense she sees the world through.
Anyway, going back to the original "leavings", the two interesting bits I want to talk about were:
1.) The "why did you leave me" is almost framed as an accusation, a counterdefense. It isn't really a "why" that feels like a "I don't understand" (compared to Silco and Vander where I would argue that a large factor in their relationship was that Silco didn't understand why Vander does the things he does and the whole arc circles back to the concept of Silco finally understands/thinks he understands).
With Powder here there is maybe even almost an element of "if you hadn't left me then this wouldn't have happened".
And of course unlike with Vander and Silco imo there isn't really a factor of "I don't understand why you did it", it's more that Jinx thinks that she knows that answer but she doesn't like it/is afraid of it. Because the answer for "why did you leave me behind?" is "because you are a Jinx/because Vi thinks that she's weak". Jinx doesn't have a problem thinking of a reason why Vi left her behind because there's already some self-hate there about being flawed/weak/useless.
2.) The other interesting wrinkle being... Vi actually DID *seriously* try to leave Jinx. Except NOT really when she wasn't including her on the mission, there Vi had every intention/assumption to come back.
No, the time when Vi ACTUALLY was prepping up to leave Powder/Jinx was when she tried to turn herself in. That time she actually planned to leave and not be back for a longer period of time.
And for how I read Jinx being paranoid about people leaving ... it's interesting that when it actually happens, Powder seems kind of calm about it? Definitely not in a "interpreting every actions as a chance that Vi might be leaving" state of mind?
Tumblr media
Does she either not understand it? Or does she understand it and is more accepting of it/calm about it because Vi is saying goodbye?
Tumblr media
When she tackles Silco, this is the big accusation "She left me. She's not my sister anymore".
But when Vi actually did try to leave her, this is not a major topic between them again, it was just this:
Tumblr media
Three potential reads:
1.) Doyle-sian => the writers didn't really put much emphasis on Powder's reaction to Vi turning herself in because they cared more about Vander's reaction.
2.) Vi turning herself in isn't a problematic thing for Powder because it's not a judgment on Powder/because Powder was weak (which would be ... weird? Right? Because the immediate reason why Vi turns herself in is at least partially because she is shocked by Powder being violent and building the nail bomb and the roundabout reason why she has to turn herself in is that Powder messed up the heist by fumbling around with the crystals. Like if Powder wanted to overreact to her role in Vi leaving her, this would be a much better candidate)
3.) Maybe the freakout in episode 3 is actually a delayed reaction to Vi leaving her to turn herself in.
Maybe in the moment Jinx didn't understand the full gravitas of Vi leaving, it was beginning to slowly sink in and that's why Powder is so cuddly with Vi when Vi returns.
So Vi has just tried to genuinely try and leave Jinx for longer, but when she comes back the first thing she does is to not include her on the mission. So when Powder/Jinx has her big freakout in their room about being left behind that maybe is heavily influenced by the gravitas that Vi genuinely tried to leave her and what that would mean sinking in.

Lets talk Arcane!
I'm curious to know if you had any thoughts on Silco or Jinx? Any favorite moments? Any reason you decided to watch it?
Also! You apologized for rambling on that last reply I sent, but please don't! I love the rambling lol and it made me have Arcane feels again
So, I decided to watch it because my brother (who has played the game) insisted I absolutely had to, because it was better than it had any right to be and etc. I don't always take him up on his recs but this one he was particularly insistent about, and I only heard good things about the series elsewhere, so I decided to watch it. And overall I really, really loved it! I have some qualms but it is a great series and I'm excited to see where they take the story next. My brother keeps telling me they've barely scratched the surface of the iceberg of lore there is to adapt, so I imagine there's a lot of stuff coming in the future that will blow my mind.
As for Silco and Jinx: I find Silco really interesting to watch. I was immediately intrigued by his relationship with Vander (a dynamic I could definitely see myself shipping in the future). I think the time skip between Act I and II defanged him considerably, which makes sense because it is right when he adopted Jinx and she became his weakness. It also made him kind of a hypocrite, which is interesting but to me it seemed to underwhelm his previous motivations a little too much. I wish we had gotten a better sense of what his long term plan was, because even though he jumped up at the opportunity of gaining independence when Jayce offered, it doesn't seem that this was something he was actively planning for. And I know this was acknowledged in text, but it kind made me like the character a little less, you know? I felt like the idea of him upon his introduction was a lot more interesting.
As for Jinx... Uh... Let me put this under a read more.
I'm trying to think of how many followers I want to lose for this reply, lol, but if I ignore that, to put it bluntly: I'm not a fan. I know this is a super unpopular opinion, especially considering her central role in the show, but I'm generally not a fan of "mad bomber" characters and a lot of my qualms with the show are about how that storyline was dealt with. Now, keep in mind that I may have been biased against her, because my brother absolutely can't stand the character and was clear about it since day one, but I was generally fine with her until the end of Act I, when I just... couldn't really get behind what the writing wanted me to. Like typically I am 100% in favour of characters making bad decisions and screwing up, but that particular screw up didn't feel credible to me. Maybe if she hadn't been established to know what the orbs do, I could've bought it, but as it was... You threw the in-universe equivalent of a grenade inside a building with your sister and 90% of your chosen family in, and you didn't know people would be hurt? Really? It was just... weird in way I don't think was intended to be.
Then there's the way this storyline treats Vi, which I think is where my real issue lies. If I had been in her place I can't even imagine the kind of names I'd call Jinx, and people act like her losing her cool for 5 seconds after watching her family get blown up for nothing is some huge moral failure, which uhhhh... Nope. The whole "she abandoned Jinx" talking point drives me up the wall. And I know some of it isn't directly endorsed by the text, but it's strongly implied enough to make me extremely uncomfortable ("I'm the monster you created"? "Silco thinks he made Jinx, but he was wrong, you did"? Really, show? Nothing you have shown me so far makes me view this a point of view worth considering, sorry).
Another issue I have is that the narrative doesn't spend nearly enough time with Mylo and Cleggor for us to really feel the weight of what Jinx did in the way Vi would. Cleggor has no screentime to the point I had to learn his name through fandom, and Mylo's screentime is him being antagonistic towards Powder (for good reason, tbh, but the framing leads us to sympathise more with her in this scenario). I like to think this wasn't intentional, that the writers didn't mean to portray the victims of Jinx's actions one-dimensionally so we could instead focus more on her guilt and trauma than Vi's, but... it left a bad taste in my mouth.
So, yeah, not a character I enjoy. But this didn't stop me from enjoying the show! I can't really choose a favorite moment, so I'm gonna make a list of random ones I really liked:
The begginning of episode 1 with the kids doing all that parkour to get into Jayce's house. I think the animation and sound effects really manage to make the action believable and real to the point that I was genuinely tense when Powder jumps, which is a great feat considering this is animation and unrealistic movement is to be expected in this kind of story.
Vander talking to Vi about war in the memorial. I think it was the first scene in the show to give me feels.
Vi attempting to give herself over to the enforcers.
Jayce making a bunch of corrupt deals with the council members during the violin performance - to me one of the best examples of how the show uses its visuals to enhance its storytelling.
Grayson and Cait interacting on her flashback. Everything with Grayson, really.
The flashbacks between Silco and Vander. The betrayal and drama of it all... [chef's kiss].
There's a small shot right before Jayce takes the stand to speak where he puts down his coffee mug and it covers Viktor, and the movement causes a coffee drop to stain mug-Jayce's face. Again: Visuals conveying storytelling in an extremely effective way.
Everything about post-time skip Ekko. His fight with Jinx is an obvious highlight, but I also loved him showing Heimerdinger the tree.
Vi taking that random dude's jacket.
I love everything about Caitlyn and Vi getting to know each other, even the "men or women" scene that I initially thought was going to make me uncomfortable (seeing the gifsets out of context made it seem predatory in a way the actual moment definitely isn't). But I particularly like when Vi says she's a good shot and Caitlyn corrects her: "I'm an excellent shot". Good for you, Cait, make her work for it.
The scene where Jayce forcibly retires Heimerdinger. I genuinely agree with Mel that he wasn't wrong about anything he said in this moment, but damn if it isn't sad. A great scene.
Another tiny moment: When Viktor goes to dump the assistant's ashes on the river and apologises for not knowing where she'd prefer he did that. Just. Really sad and sweet.
"in the pursuit of great we failed to do good". What a banger of a line.
I know this is a controversial one because technically he shouldn't have been this great of a fighter in this point in the story but I love everything about Vi and Jayce teaming up. I love his reaction to killing the kid and Vi's response. I want them to interact again in the future so badly.
Vi vs Sekira. No thoughts, head empty, just two cool women beating the shit out of each other. 10/10, media needs more of this.
I'm super fond of the scene between Silco and Jayce, as well as Jayce talking to the council afterwards. Through the season I thought we were heading up to a morally corrupt Jayce ending, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that in the end, he actually took the best possible course of action under the circunstances. I especially liked him pointing out to Silco that, if a war did happen, the undercity would be crushed - it echoes some of Vander's beliefs and I think it highlights that Jayce is a good person who wants to do good, at the end of the day (he isn't rejecting war just because it makes him feel bad).
I also love Mel's disdain for her mother, her slapping away her goblet and especially the shot of her mother in front of the painting filled with yellow. Mel was another character that I thought was going to end up the season in a morally dark place, so it was great to see her cling to her beliefs like that.
Despite all my mixed feelings on Jinx, I did find Silco's death heartbreaking, and his devotion to her - and talking to Vander about it - was something I enjoyed watching. "Is there anything as undoing as a daughter?"
Heimerdinger's pet and the robot in the council. I was just always glad to see them.

My thoughts on the finale (long post)
Okay, I really just wanna put some thoughts down and I need to do it here. Spoilers and opinions, you can choose to agree or not, but please be respectful
I usually try to have a good attitude about things, pointing out the best in everything.
I'm having a really hard time right now.
That's not to say the episode was bad, it's just...
Well, I feel like I'm watching the Game of Thrones finale again. I just feel so unfulfilled. Then again, my hormones are a little out of wack at the moment (thanks mother nature) so my odd feelings could be because of that. I feel so angry and upset and hyped and... I don't honestly know. I really don't. I feel like I want to throw up, but not in a bad or good way.
I guess I just...
Feel.
I've stayed up every night for every episode because I just adored it so much. Yet I feel like... there should be more. I know we got a second season confirmed, but we don't know when. We don't know what it means for the future of the MCU. We don't know anything.
I guess we should have expected this because Loki was supposed to be this new horizon for the MCU. Doctor Strange 2 needed a plot. Someone said this show was just a big ad for MoM, and I find myself disagreeing with that, but only a little.
I think the best way to describe it is it's like the show suddenly decided it wanted to be something else. It's not a bad thing necessarily, but after episode 3, the tone really shifted.
I'm trying really hard to hold off on my more detailed thoughts, but they just keep creeping in, so I'll just wrap up this... intro? Idk.
I think the TLDR is that I feel disappointed, but I don't really blame anyone. Kate Herron, Mike Waldron, they all did AMAZING jobs. They really deserve the highest of praise for this. Is it my favorite MCU project? Yes. Am I excited for season 2? Absolutely.
Tumblr media
But Game of Thrones can still be my favorite show and I can still dislike the ending.
I find writing this out is helping me feel better. Once I sleep it'll probably feel less... hopeless.
Now, next section. My thoughts on key plot points.
We all figured Kang would be introduced. I'm actually very excited to see what they do with him. The actor was just phenomenal and I can't wait to see him later on. Someone call up Erik Voss because he redeemed himself after the whole Mephisto deal
I guess the Multiverse was reborn, but not in the way I was expecting/hoping. I feel like there's a large gap between when the timeline shattered and the final scene with Loki, Mobius, and B-15. What happened? Though, I guess it makes sense. We all wanted a multiverse. We never considered the consequences.
I'm angriest about Mobius losing his memories and not getting his jetski. Like I said, Yelena can get a dog in BW after mentioning it once. But as someone on Reddit pointed out, they had to make sure Marvel would greenlight a second season. It does not mean I can't have a huge cow about it. That's what we get for jinxing it, friends.
I think I understand what Star Wars Sequel haters went through. Getting all these grand (maybe... glorious?) ideas about the ending and what a hopeful message about destiny and identity the series could give us. And the series gave us... none of that. Hell, I was so sure these would be used, and I was bamboozled. I'm sure others saw it coming, but they just looked too good to be fake out shots. My best guess is that they're gonna use this footage in season 2 for a plotline and they stuck it in here to trick us... but maybe that's just me being desperate
Tumblr media
It was barely 1 AM here, Marvel. The Miss Minutes jumpscare was NOT COOL. I mean, THIS IS HORRIFYING IN LIGHT AS WELL
Tumblr media
I'm really confused about Ravonna now. Is she good or is she bad? Where did she go? And why was it important we see her backstory and not any of the others (say, B-15 or Mobius)?
God, okay, I guess I have to address the elephant in the room now.
The Sylki kiss and then betrayal fight thing.
Let me get one thing very extremely clear before I continue: I do prefer Lokius, but I am FINE with Sylki. I think I've just been desensitized to any ship that ends with -cest because, as I've made clear here and in the past, I adore Game of Thrones and Crimson Peak.
I honestly think my main reservation about it is a flaw within myself that I dared not admit until I saw it staring me in the face: I'm probably a little possessive. I can admit this and I really dislike it about myself. But I think I'm just not a fan of Loki having a love interest in general. What makes Lokius different, I have no clue. Maybe deep down I knew Marvel was too much of a pussy to ever make it canon... then again, I was begging for a last minute kiss or something. My feelings on the matter are complicated.
But the way they handled the kiss in this episode? Gotta say, not too much of a fan. I know some antis like this, but it just felt too... not genuine. Maybe I'm just an idiot who thinks all kissing should have a meaning. A purpose. The Reylo kiss in Rise of Skywalker? Ben just saved Rey's fucking life, I think that warrants a large gesture of affection.
But this?
I think I get bad juju from the kiss, not the fact that they made it Canon. You can disagree or agree any way you want, you can even send nasty anon messages. That's my opinion and I'm choosing to stick to it.
And sending nasty anons won't do squat, I don't give a shit about faceless threats and hate.
Anyways, back to my point
The fight felt like a mutual betrayal, but at the same time it felt like neither really wanted to go through with it. I admit I felt Sylvie was more in the right and that Loki seemed a little too complacent, especially after everything he went through and saw. But like Sylvie, I didn't consider the consequences and now everything is fucked. But I still don't think Loki was right.
I think it boils down to being an impossible choice because no matter what you pick, everyone loses.
I believe that my main gripe with Sylvie and Loki's ideology split is that it feels a little too rushed and/or, dare I say it, out of character. I've agreed with Loki's characterization up until this point (again, you can disagree with me, that's your opinion and you have full right to it), but... man, I don't know. It all feels like an impossible situation.
Then again, I'm not the one in the director's chair. I'm not the team in the writers room. I don't know the first thing about making a project like this. I like taking solace in the fact that Tom had some creative control in the series about the character he loves so much. And, let's be real, he knows Loki the best out of all of us. None of us can hold a candle to that.
We can call ourselves experts, but Tom is the real expert. I trust him more than anyone. If he hated how this was turning out, he probably would have said something.
We just have to trust in the creative process
So, at the end of the day, this series was (and still is, remember, season 2 is on the way) absolutely phenomenal and I think it's Marvel's strongest work in a very long time. They know Loki is a character we all love and adore and I feel like they've done their best in honoring that. Besides, what other character is getting a second season? How awesome is that??
I found writing this out helped me process my thoughts and emotions IMMENSELY. I don't feel as... angry? Hopeless? I don't know. I keep comparing this to the end of Game of Thrones, and I feel like that's doing a disservice to Loki. Game of Thrones' ending was just absolute dog shit and there was no chance to redeem it because it was the last season.
Loki has a second season on the way.
It's not over yet.
Nothing is ever final until the universe forces it.
Kang can be stopped
The Multiverse can roam free
Loki can learn to find true happiness
Sylvie can stop running and fighting
Ravonna can redeem herself
The TVA can burn or reform (whichever you choose)
And yes
Mobius can get a jetski
We know nothing yet of season 2, what it will entail, how it connects to the rest of the Marvel Universe, or even when it will be out. But I know that I will eagerly await it when that day comes. I will once again put on a smile. I will wait hours to watch the new episode the moment it drops. I will be excited for it and enjoy it.
Because, at the end of the day, that's all it's about. Telling a story. And, mother of God, Marvel sure is telling a good one.
Until next time, my friends.
For All Time. Always!

When people speak of fairies, they often think of the wise fairy Godmother or the tiny passionate Tinkerbell, but let me tell you the truth, fairies can be as vicious as any wolf you might encounter in the woods. Take my mother, for example, I am about to fail a class and might not be able to graduate but here she is shouting at the principal, questioning his competency and making things worse. To be honest, I should have known this would happen. Ever since I was a toddler, my mother was ready to fight the Alaskan giants if she felt that they insulted me, although that seems a lot better than calling the man, an imbecile elf.
I had never been good at school, I was not born to do this. I cannot do magic, cannot fly. I do comparatively good at empathy, but that is probably due to my human side. All my teachers earlier were very understanding in cutting me some slack, but the new guy doesn't want to bend the rules and my mom just doesn't understand that.
As we entered the house from a tiresome argument with no conclusion, I watched my mom sink in her bed as she tried to push her tears back to space behind her eyes. On the side table there stood three photographs, one of her with her husband on her wedding day, one of her holding her baby and one of me and her on my first day of school. The one with her baby was the only one facing towards her pillow so that it is the first thing she sees when she opens her eyes. I was never jealous of him, but I did feel that my mother's life would have been easier if she never interchanged us.
I wound up the music box, placed it beside her and tiptoed to my room as the lullabies of her ancestors brought her calm.
I often wondered what the other me would be doing right now, my brother from another mother and raised by my own. And just in case, miles away he wondered that too, I started keeping a journal where I would write everything that happened on the day. I would walk him through every road that I mapped, what conversations mother and I had and what kind of jokes she laughed at. Just in case if he ever plans to return, he would never have to feel out of place because he had me to guide him, and just in case if I ever went back, I think I would have the same.
A knock broke my nap. As I looked outside the tiny round window, I could make out the prettiest face I had ever seen. We were in the same class but it was incomprehensible that she would be standing outside my window. And then it hit me, I looked her in the eyes and said firmly, "You don't fool me."
"Not fair. I need to practice my deception spells." saying that, the figure in front of me transformed into my childhood friend, Jaadu. One of the rules of bending spells, if the target of the trick sees through the rouge, the trickster has to come clean.
"It was good. If not for my trust in my status as a loser, you would have convinced me."
"Ah! I should study the target more. Will keep that in mind. Are you coming?"
Jaadu and I always went to the edge of the forest in the evenings. With the sun coming down and night beginning to rise, you can watch the shadows of all the travellers passing by. Some of them would sit and have their meal or set up camp, completely unaware that we are hiding behind the tree mere steps away, watching them. But the most exciting moment is when you see someone go from one realm to another. Sometimes you can see their shadow change shape or colour or sometimes nothing changes, it is always a surprise how the inter-realm travel reacts.
Jaadu enjoys it because it is something he might never do, he was to be part of the administration, like the fairies of his family before him. This was his way to vicariously travel through these evening rituals.
For me, it was the time I had felt closest to my mother. Although her husband was a traveller, she only planned one journey in her life. The one to save her baby.
In a way I had already travelled from one realm to another, I was just unaware of the magnitude of it. I sometimes think of going back, maybe visit my birth parents, might even bring my mother's son back. She would be delighted beyond belief, and maybe then, she wouldn't regret taking him. But I would always push the thought back, too afraid of the unknown.
The next few weeks were spent retaking and retaking the test until I was cleared to graduate school. There are three categories of fairies, one that is naturally gifted in all arts, whether it is music, the science of medicinal plants or chants and jinxes, they are fluent in all. Then there is the average category, the ones that work hard and learn and the last are the week students, ones who work even harder. And then there is me, the human among magical beings. I am the only one around like me, earlier there used to be a lot of us but with the danger of exposure and the spiritual fabric between realms weakening, it is just me. Potions are easy and I am good with plants and animals but I can't cast spells, at least not the high-level ones. So, it took a lot of convincing the new principal to test me only on the spells that I can do, but I finally succeeded.
Later that night, my mother organized a celebration for me, every house within a mile was invited, distant relatives came too. Some families brought a dish of their choice, some helped clean up space and some brought with them the sweetest water of different streams. But with all the gifts and praises, come the whispers too, how I was not one of them, what an achievement the real son would have been. When I was younger, my mother would often cast a filtration spell on my ears so that I wouldn't hear what they said about me but as I grew older, the spell weakened. She never herself told me the story, would always insist that I was hers just born with different abilities or as I see it, no abilities.
From what I could gather, my mother was with the child when her husband died. The grief was too much for her and the baby and so he was born with defects. A shaman told her that the milk of a human could cure him and so she left him in the first crib she could find and took me from mine as her own.
"Oh my son, come sit with me." my great-grandmother called me."How are you feeling? You are a big fairy now?"
"I am not a fairy Gre-ma." I sighed as I sat beside her.
"Oh, it doesn't matter what elements bind you. Tell me, Elven, how, do you think, is your mother?"
"She seems fine. I think she is alright."
"She is strong, but separation and loneliness often mould us into something much fragile. She has lights of sorrow surrounding her, you must make her happy. Bring her joy before the black lights swallow her."
After the celebration ended, I kept thinking about the words my Gre-ma said to me. She was the most powerful empath in the town, nobody could dare take her words lightly, especially if she said something like that. This was serious, I had to do something to cure my mother.
The next day, when I and Jaadu were sitting in the woods, relaxing as the shadows disappeared around us, I told him what Gre-ma had asked me to do. "Getting a good position in the council would cure all the sorrows of my mother." Jaadu joked.
"I am afraid, that doesn't work for mine."
"I know! My point is, only you know what will make her happy."
I thought about it for a while and by the next morning, I had an idea of what to do. I made up an overnight camping trip with some friends from school, which in retrospect, how mother agreed or believed any of that is beyond me. I checked in my bag to confirm I had the fairy dust with me that Gre-ma had given me the other night, without it, I would not be able to cross over. The plan was simple, follow the map she used years earlier and just knock on the door. Jaadu came to see me off, he wanted to see how my shadow will react.
I, on the other hand, just felt a slight current run through me, and on the next step, everything changed.
It took me at least five minutes of coughing to get used to the air around me. The map was magical, which meant that it would alter according to the destination desired and the time and space which surrounded it. But there still was no magic that can help me introduce myself to my birth parents or tell me how I am supposed to walk when each step is followed by a loud noise and a beast flying past me in a blink of an eye. The first thing I noticed was humans were tall, back in woodland, I was the tallest there, here I barely come up to the shoulders of some of these giants. And they all had different feet, different colours, shapes and textures. And walking for a few feet made me understand why. After walking a small distance, my feet were coloured black, they were damp and a new pink coloured flower had found a way between my toes and was now stuck to my skin. But ignoring it all, I marched ahead.
A few yards away stood the blue gate I had dreaded all through the journey, a million thoughts ran through my mind with each step till I lifted my arm to knock.
I looked around the house as I waited for them to make sense of everything that I had just finished telling them. Surprisingly, it was not that different from my house. it was filled with photographs except for the giant black frame in the middle of the room, which stood empty. Lamps were hanging from the walls, but there was probably some human magic that made it not look like fire. There weren't as many windows, or plants, outside or inside. We all sat on cloud-like cushions with brown milk in front of me.
When I introduced myself, I showed them my infancy photograph which my mother had taken with her. Then I told them about fairies and woodlands. I told them about magic and music, potions and pirouette. And then I told them about my mother, my fairy mother.
"So, you are ours?"
I nodded.
"And, you were kidnapped?"
"Exchanged!" I nodded
."And you live among fairies?"
I nodded.
"And, our son was a fairy?"
I began to nod and then stopped midway, "was?"
"He died ten years ago. Road accident." said the human mother and started sobbing.
My father stood up and came towards me with open arms, "We want to believe you, but we can't, at least not without tests I hope that is alright with you."
"Oh, I can't stay. I just came to take my mother's son back to meet her. I really should go now."
"NO!" my human mother shouted and holding my shoulders requested me to stay.
"I suppose I could stay for another day."
"Wonderful!" the mother smiled and ran to the kitchen mumbling recipes to herself. "She is going to make his favourite food," Father said to me. His eyes followed me suspiciously as I sat back down in my spot.
"Hey Dorothy, Can you do me-." A stranger walked into the house and stopped mid-sentence to stare back at me. "Family member?" she said while pointing at me.
"How can you tell?" mother came out of the kitchen.
"Well, he looks so much like Steve."
"Doesn't he?"
"Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have to run tests."
"What do you mean, Steve?"
"Yes, what do you mean, Steve?"
"Uhm, I am just saying..."
"Wait, but who is he?"
"Oh! It's a miracle from Jesus. My son has returned."
"Jesus! Dorothy, honey."
"Your son, the one whose funeral I helped organize."
"No, you see, he was exchanged, Uhm kidnapped."
"Jesus! Dorothy!"
"And now he is back, back at home."
Finally, silence fell. I looked up and all three were staring at me. "Hello," I said in a low voice. "I come from the woodlands. My mother who is a fairy..."
"Well, he is still processing his trauma." Father interrupted me. "Don't worry, we will have him checked shortly." Saying that he led me upstairs to a closed-door with the picture of a masked man on the door.
"This is your room. I will call you when food is prepared."
I had just turned back to stop him, he shut the door to my face. I tried to open it but it seemed locked from outside. I sat down on the small bed, trying to process whatever happened in the last few minutes. And then I remembered the word funeral being uttered. Their son's funeral.
My mother's son. The one I came to take back with me.
I had to get out immediately.
I stood in front of the door and chanted a simple admission spell. I tried to open the door again but it stayed locked. I tried the spell again, but it was all in vain. Casting spells in a new environment is always difficult, even for skilled casters. You have to be able to borrow magic from your surroundings. Often before any major spell, fairies perform cleansing and calming rituals to make the elements around them aware of their intentions, and once the fairies and every particle around them are in agreement can they cast the spells successfully. I did not know anything about those rituals, nor have I ever performed magic in an unaccustomed environment. Being human and bad at magic did not help either.
I sat back on the bed and waited for the door to open from outside. I looked around the room, there stood various balls of different colours all around the room, on a shelf placed in the corner, there were several miniatures beasts like the ones I encountered on my way. On the walls, there were drawings of different humans in various attires and figurines made of cotton and stone of different animals. I lied down and my eyes sparkled as on the roof I could see the sun and the moon and all the stars that the roof could fit, it was the only thing that reminded me of home. I could look at it for hours like I did back in the woodland, I smiled at the memories, glad that I could find at least one familiar thing.
A few hours later, the father came rushing in and closed the door behind him.
"Hey, buddy! There are a few people who want to meet with you. They are super nice and very friendly. They will ask you some questions. You don't have to worry, just nod when I answer those okay?" It was a question he did not wait for an answer to. I was held from my arms and pushed into the front room. There stood the two women from earlier, a man with an unusually shaped head and another woman with a toy in her hands. They all had their mouths in a curve and their teeth were exposed, I think they were trying to smile. The father sat me down and placed himself beside me.
The woman nodded and pushed the toy towards me.
"Hello, I hope you don't mind introducing yourself once again. Your father had already told me about you."
"Uh...my name is Elven."
"His name is Simon. He thinks his name is Elven and he was kidnapped by fairies. He is still recovering from the incident." The father interjected.
"Okay." The woman looked at the man and then back towards us. "Can you elaborate on the fairies that abducted you?"
I looked at the father he gestured me to go ahead. "I wasn't abducted, I was exchanged. My mother, my fairy mother gave birth to a weakling which could only be saved by human milk."
"We believe that the kidnapper left her disabled child with us in hopes to raise a healthier child, obviously for her benefit." The father looked towards the woman, and they both nodded. Like they agreed to not believe anything I said.
"Do you think drugs were involved?" The man asked the father.
"Well, listening to the absurdity, I am certain that the woman herself took drugs and gave my son some too. That seems to be the only explanation for his conviction."
They kept saying the word "Drugs", I didn't know what it meant, but I could conclude that it was bad. And if they think my mother gave them to me, they would never let me go back to her.
"Look," I stood up, "I should go, my mother would be worried."
"I think that should be enough for today, I will answer the rest of the questions." The father said as he directed the mother to take me.
"Oh, just a picture of the family would be great." The woman stopped me and the mother.
All three of us stood side by side as the man took out a small metal from his pocket and a light flashed towards us. I couldn't see for a while but I could feel being steered somewhere.
I was sitting on the tiny bed again, while my human mother was sobbing with her head in my lap. I looked up at the painted night sky and dreamed of the real one.
The next day I woke up to the sound of a crowd of humans in front of the house. A lot of them were holding the same toy as the day before, some had big boxes on their shoulders and behind them was a long queue of the white beasts. The father came in with a gentle smile and said, "Son, how are you? Breakfast is ready. And you remember yesterday, the people in the front have the same questions. Whenever you are ready, we will talk to them. Is that alright?"
I could simply nod. It was very clear that I did not have any choice in that.
The mother came in afterwards and asked me to take a bath, but when I asked for the stream nearby, she started crying again. The father came in and showed me to another room where twisting on a knob I could make it rain inside. He laid down a drying cloth, top and bottom covers and coverings for my feet. It was a strange feeling to not have my feet touch the earth. For fairies, it the only consistent relationship between them and the ground. Although it did feel better to not have my feet be dirty or cold. For breakfast the only thing that looked familiar was fruit, so I picked a red apple and bit into that, while the father and mother stood in front of the black frame, only this time it had a man talking in it.
"We have something like that in woodland too, motion paintings. It is a very complex spell though. My mother's uncle is famous as the most proficient in a 1000 step radius."
They both looked at me and the mother ran out of the room looking like she was about to burst into tears again.
"Hey, why don't we stop talking about woodland in front of mom." He gave me that non-smile again.
The whole day was just sitting in front of strangers and nod as the father told lies. And every time I tried to stop him or correct him, it was blamed on trauma, another word they kept on repeating. According to them, I had a trauma because of drugs and my mother was a criminal and she should be locked up. I did not most of the words in that sentence. They asked me to do magic to prove my story but when I failed, they simply smiled. When I first showed them my journal, they scanned through it within minutes and gave it back to the father. Mid-way through the day, I gave up. I might have been naïve in the human ways but I knew what a lost battle looked like.
They kept asking to take a picture, after a few I gathered they were just still drawings of us. Out of the corner of my eye, I would often catch someone pointing at me and chuckling with his or her friend. The mother spent most of the time crying and repeating that she was just glad to have her son back and she loved the other one too just like her own. In between taking pictures and answering questions, some would come up to me or the father and offer their condolences.
Everything resembled the kind of community I had left in woodland, but that was all it was, a resemblance, a mirror image. People offered help and sympathy but always from a distance. Some neighbours brought their children in hopes I could make friends with them but whenever I tried to talk to them, they pushed me out of the circle and talked amongst themselves, mostly in gibberish I might add.
I missed my mother, I missed Jaadu and Gre-ma. I missed the smell of freshly bloomed flowers in the morning and the lullabies of the moon as it sang us to sleep. Out here all I could smell was something burning, constantly. The food was like eating mould and every variant of the juice I was offered did not taste like its name. I wanted to see the real night sky and not the fake colours on the roof.
By midnight, the father and mother had fallen in deep sleep. And that was when I slipped out, fairies were of course famous for being light feet and my mother had taught me a few tricks early on. I decided to leave my journal with them, in case they ever wanted to visit. Although they would have another day of asking and answering and crying over my departure, I did not feel bad. I realized they were not my parents and this was not my world, my only link was my brother. He was supposed to be my guide, and without him, I had no purpose but to get lost.
I stood at the gates in the woods and waited for the sun to go up and night to fall. And when the moment came, as I stepped through the fairy dust, into the realm of my home, I could make out a figure that I was much too familiar with. And as I inhaled the blossoms, I could see Jaadu smiling at me. And I smiled back.

When fanfiction begins to be worrying
Warning : Ron-lovers, if you read this it is at your own peril. I am already suffering from long-lasting damage. Vivi, don't read. Really. Don't. Trust me.
We won't even talk about incest and other criminal and sickening fanfictions, which are mostly rejected by the fandom with the utmost disgust - fortunately.
No, no, what I'm going to talk about is admired by a - sadly - large part of the fandom. I was just looking for a cool fanfiction about Ron during my break when I found this, on the first page : "101 ways to kill Ron Weasley."
I know, I shouldn't have clicked on the link, but I couldn't help myself. I had to know.
This is the Author's note :
"This story is inspired by Crys' 1001 Deaths of Lord Voldemort on
For many of us, we hate one character in canon more than any other. No, not Lord Voldemort. I am, of course, talking about Ron Weasley.
Ron is lazy, stupid, annoying, and, in my opinion, mentally retarded.
Now, many in the fanfiction community hate Ginny much more than Ron; however, I find that to be more based upon their experiences with fanfiction than Ginny's actual roll in canon. Let's all be honest, outside of CoS and a cameo in OoTP, Ginny has very few lines and almost no involvement in the plot while Ron plays the role of a giant douchebag throughout the books.
This story, which I hope people will enjoy, is my way of killing off the dumbass in as many colorful ways as possible.
In case you can't tell, expect major Ron!Bashing."
...
Tumblr media
I should have stopped as soon as I read this. I didn't, pushed by a morbid curiosity : I wanted to know how far people were ready to go. Useless to say that I bitterly regret it.
First, notice here that Voldemort and Ron are the only characters that I know of who have entire fanfics dedicated to kill them.
Voldemort and Ron are put on the same level. A teenager, the best friend of the hero and a hero himself, is compared to a psychopath and a murderer.
Moreover, I have to underline that the author judges Ron as "mentally retarded". I find it worrying. Just because a teenager have not the same grades as the best student in his year, just because he does not display the same way of thinking as his clever best friend does not mean he is stupid. Far from that.
That is a judgement on intelligence that I think is horrible. You have to know that intelligence, despite what tests such as IQ's claim, can not be really measured. It depends on so many factors. The results of IQ tests depend themselves on so many factors.
Furthermore, having real problems to understand things should be seen as a disability, a handicap and not an insult. It is a very difficult situation to deal with.
Also notice that the intellect is one the major criteria differencing the characters for those people. Intellect is practically above everything else.
I read the fanfiction, constituted of two chapters and multiple drabbles.
First reaction :
Tumblr media
First one : Ron dies from eating too much. He chokes on his food.
Second one : In first year, wanting to prove a point to Hermione, Ron willingly mispronunces a spell and conjures a buffalo which crushes him
Third one : In Deathly Hallows, Ron takes the locket with him when he leaves. Harry and Hermione try to stop him and splinch him (he is split in two), but they don't recover the Horcrux. Last sentence : "Even in death, Ron Weasley found a way to be a pain in the ass."
Fourth one : Ron, charged by Harry to give Hedwig her treats, eats them in front of her. Hedwig, with the help of thousands other owls, avenges herself by attacking and killing Ron. Reminding of "The birds" by Hitchcock.
Fifth one : Ron, jealous, accuses Hermione of loving Harry and calls her "a Mudblood". She kills him. Harry and her hide Ron's body before they have sex. Petty remark about the length of Harry and Ron's manhoods. Note of the "author" explaining that it was a summary of another fic.
Sixth one : the Trio enters Bellatrix's vault. Ron is immediately fascinated by the amount of money and begins to steal it despite his friends' warnings. He burts into flames and jinxes his friends. Particularly petty sentence : "He never knew, or cared, that his greed had doomed them as well."
Seventh one : Ron speaks proudly about the unbreakable vow he made when he was five. Hermione asks him what it was about, he says he had sworn he would never say he wasn't a jobbernowl, he dies. Worst thing : use of a real passage of the book.
Eighth one : Ron dies on the chess set. His sacrifice is presented as stupid because it 'had to be another way.'
Nine : Harry uses Sectumsempra on Ron while he is sleeping. Ron dies. Harry transforms his corpse into a sock and burns it.
Last one : after Ron is made prefect, Hermione refuses to have him as a partner, jinxes him and kills him "for the greater good." Particularly nasty sentences : "Harry looked at the badge and fought the urge to go downstairs and ask McGonagall and Dumbledore if they were high when they selected the male Gryffindor prefect this year." / "'Sure', Ron said, completely shocked. 'I was positive you would get it, Harry.' 'You and the rest of the world,' Harry thought darkly." / "I can already see Ron not taking his duties seriously and flaunting the privileges that prefects normally deserve."
I won't comment all of them, but I really want to say something about some of them.
The first one uses a trope overused in Ron-bashing fanfiction : the fact that Ron eats a lot and sometimes speaks with his mouth full. Obviously, the author has forgotten what it is to be a teenager, and especially a thin teenager. Their metabolism needs food, and loads of food, because they are growing up and thin people tend to burn off energy more rapidly.
The fourth makes me sick. (Not that they don't all make me want to throw up.) First since it uses the overused trope I have already mentioned. Moreover for Ron would definitely do what Harry asks him to do, and for Ron is definitely not cruel. And thirdly because... THE BIRDS ! Does it ring a bell, a physical assault on Ron with birds ?
The fifth one. There is absolutely no universe where Ron, I'm-going-to-kill-Malefoy-with-my-bare-hands!Ron, would call Hermione a Mudblood. No. Way.
The sixth. Just because Ron said once something like "It would be nice to have galleons for a change", once "I hate being poor" (ONCE !!!), "Lucky you" (referring to Harry not noticing the difference on his amount of gold when the fake money disappeared), "Where's mine ?" (asking Bill where his money was because Bill has just given Harry a purse full of gold), that's it, Ron is greedy. Just because he doesn't want to be in need. Although he never complained that much.
These people hating Ron for he does not like to be poor are just self-righteous and have very probably never lived in the same situation. They have never been homeless, have received all the gifts for Christmas they wanted, have lived in a warm and comfortable house. It's easy to think about morals when your stomach is full, your health is perfect and well taken care of, and your basical material needs are fulfilled.
I remember a story my dance teacher told me : there was a poor woman in Africa who had lost a husband, a son and a leg in a war and still considered herself luckier than a French homeless person because she had a roof above her head.
I'm not saying that losting a loved one is less terrible. Nothing is more terrible.
Just that hating a fourteen-years old boy who never received another Christmas gift than a maroon jumper he hates but still puts on without really complaining because his mother made it, because he would like to have clothes that fit him or galleons he could spend to offer things to his friends is stupid. Really. And shows a lack of empathy.
Moreover, it's not as if Ron was not generous. All he has he shares it. His galleons, he mostly spends it on gifts for his friends. He gave his Christmas gifts to an house-elf. Ron has a really big, big heart and nothing is more important to him than his friends and family.
Eight. Just. How dares he / she ? That's what I hate with this fandom. Everything is twisted to correspond to the views of people.
Last. The prefect badge. My god the prefect badge. Maybe the most disgusting one, because Harry and Hermione are depicted as thinking the worst of him and somehow echo the 'No one in their right mind would make Ron a prefect'. The fact that Ron is often belittled by the fans who don't think he deserved the badge is reminiscent of the fact that Ron didn't either. Ron didn't think he deserved it. That makes me soooo angry.
Pansy Parkinson deserved her badge, but Ron ? Nooooo of course.
The question of worthiness in Ron-bashing is central. People operate a grading : some characters are better than others. The worst is to think that they do it in real life.
I am really naive. I thought that most readers would be inflamed by such display of stupidity. How wrong I was ! This story had 242 reviews, whose only 12 were critical. On the twelve crital ones, 4 were saying that Ron was just an ordinary teenager with no talent, but that it was a shame to dislike him for that.
The rest ?... At this point I don't know if I want to cry or burst into flames out of rage.
I have warned you before. I warn you again. Be aware of the violence of what will follow.
"More!
In order to get a good nights sleep, I need to read about Ron dying in horrendous and funny ways, due to his folly and vices."
At this point it looks like a caricature, doesn't it ? We can notice, however, that people vent out their frustrations and violence on fictional characters. It's up to you if it is good or not. I think it is sick to post it on the Internet, on a personal level.
"A note to a couple of Ron fanboys that posted. First, don' t like? Don' t read. You can tell it is a bashing story from the summary. Second; each person can interpret the canon events the way he wants. Personally, i see it like this: Ron betrayed and abandoned his supposed best friend when he needed help the most. Twice. And he never even apologised properly! It is not our best moments and actions that show us who we really are, but our worst ones. Because, usually, that is when one lets his true self show. Ron is not a bad person, but he is an idiot in canon."
It actually reflects a way of thinking. Ron is defined by the moment he felt betrayed and argued against his best friend - and he tried to apologize, though didn't make Harry apologize for hitting him - and the moment he left under mental torture - the first one who tells me Ron isn't strong-willed will have to run really fast from my anger, because Ron resisted possession and once rebelled against a thought mass murederer on a broken leg and they know nothing about torture -. For this kind of people, you can't have flaws. You can't be faulty. You have to be perfect. You can't ever be forgiven. This is unhealthy.
"*Insane laugh* I love this story! I've always hated Ron. *Sigh* If only he died in cannon, then my life would be complete!"
Once again I am amazed by the VIOLENCE of such a statement.
"I just love the first one where Ron dies while stuffing his face. I have often thought that he had either Bulima or a tapeworm. I have actually seen someone eat like him. It turned out that this person was Bulimic. How else does someone stuff himself and remain skinny?"
It displays a total lack of understanding of what eating disorders really are. Those are disorders which are really extremely difficult to deal with on a daily basis. They are mistaken here with bad eating manners.
"Are you in middle schoolers? Because that's how they teach you how to write in middle school. Also, Ron IS stupid. His grades show that. And Hermione is always caring and helping Harry, even when Ron is off sulking, jealous of Harry. And who cares if Ron came back after leaving? He still left! And getting his ass off of bed is not an excuse for Ron. He only goes along with Harry because he needs to! To keep being Harry's friend, that is. You're actually as mentally deficient as Ron is, and I hope you learn some proper fucking grammar."
Once again intelligence is confused with good grades. That's how you end up with teachers telling students who don't have good grades that they are too stupid to do anything of their life. Ron is here considered as an opportunist. As if he had chosen to be friends with Harry for fame -internal scream. As if being friends with Harry was easy. As if he had not commited his life to help his friends. Notice that once again someone is judges according to his so-called bad actions (to me, Ron leaving is not a mistake Ron did, as I said multiple times already).
"Oi weasel!, for the first and final time, there will never be an Hermione and you, so stop dreaming about her; she's way, out of your league, otherwise l will make you into an weasel patty..."
Love is seen as a question of worthiness.
"Can the Basilisk eat him? please please let the Basilisk eat him"
Once again the violence strucks me.
"ugh i hate him 2 he always runs away or gets jelous. The one thing he did was play stupid chess. Like geez. I love the owl 1".
Chess is considered stupid. CHESS IS CONSIDERED STUPID, BUT WRITING AN ENTIRE FANFIC TO KILL A FICTIONAL CHARACTER IS NOT. Those people are sickeningly judgemental and self-righteous.
"Thank you, I really needed a good laugh and nothing is more funny than Ron dying in horrific, nasty ways."
*throws up*
"Hilarious. Keep updating. I can't stand Ron. The flaws of Snape, Albus, Remus, Sirius and the rest makes them interesting characters. The flaws of Ron make him a putz."
Notice that Ron is the one character that apparently can't be forgiven for his flaws. Ever.
"Lol, Keep killing Ron, it's enjoyable. It's a good stress reliever to read these. :)
See ! Ron is nothing more than a punching ball to those people. I'm scared, really. Their immaturity is worrying.
"I agree with you about Ron he really is a good for nothing person in canon."
*sees red* That's what I'm fighting against in real life. People telling teenagers (and here one of the most admirable fictional teenagers I've ever seen) with a crippling lack of self-esteem that they are worthless. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM !
"this is so funny. i love the owl treats one. my favourite so far. anyone who dares say this is rubbish will face my anger, dont worry. just because it wont happen in canon dosent mean its not good."
Well, sorry to break it to you, but this is rubbish.
"Harry could have been the next Voldermort or Dumbledore if Ron hadn't infected him wi"
Ron and his friendship with Harry are seen as DISEASES.
"Weasley must die! Weasley must die!"
"I actually don't mind Ginny as a character, but Ron has always severely irritated me. The ending to Deathly Hallows was disappointing - how could JKR stick Hermione with a git like that? Ron's been nothing but awful to her since day one, and let's not even get started on how he's treated Harry...
Not really such a "loyal" sidekick, is he? When it all comes down to it, he's a selfish prat, thinking of nobody but himself. The PoA incident with Crookshanks, then GoF when he accused Harry of putting his name into the Goblet - there's been numerous occaisions in which that red haired git has allowed his jealously to get the better of him and abandoned his friends all because of his own petty insecurities.
Halfway through Deathly Hallows, I was ready to strangle him. I know the locket probably brought most of it on - but I don't see that as an excuse for him to throw a childish temper tantrum and blow up about Harry not knowing what he's doing. Okay, so you miss mummy's cooking, and living your life as a lazy sloth..
No reason to take it out on your two best friends. At least your parents are still alive, you ignorant MORON. I was rather pleased when Harry told him off, though. :)
All in all; Ron has always been an annoying, pain in the butt character to me. Utterly useless, really.
I can't wait to see what other creative ways you come up with to kill him.
*adds story to favorites*
Weasley is NOT my king."
So many things wrong.
Ron has been nothing other than awful to Hermione ? What about 'You're the most wonderful person I've ever met ?' 'She's been perfect, as usual.' ? What about getting detention several times (and one washing bedpans) for defending her ?

The idea of sending owls is AWR AND SOME!😍 But...Without Wifi I can't read fanfics and without fanfics I wouldn't even know what to do with myself and I really really really want to read the end of a few (Like e.g. LW's PiaD...Or your "A Definite Maybe" and the other unfinished ones you have...Or the stories I keep up with in other fandoms...🙈) 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure m, problem was that the voices all sounded female😅
Ugh, I think I read the very beginning of the first book because of a friend but don't even remember that apart from the show's "Stefan" being named "Stefano" instead?🤔 And well, I watched the show cause there wasn't much Else to watch at that Time of the day and two friends were watching it, plus I just like superpowers sooo🤷🏻‍♀️ But meh, it was way too much Teen drama and romance for me (plus, another Love triangle🙄), so while I love the actors, at this point I only ever rewatch the funny or very tragic scenes or anything Team K-related🙈🤷🏻‍♀️😅
Funny you say that, cause there are another two "monster" beginning with K and the four so tend to be just defined as "Team K": Kai Parker, Kol Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson and Katherince Pierce/Katherina Petrova😂 And they're SO badass and in my opinion the best written characters in the whole show (...But do tend to be more categorized as the villains?🙈)🤷🏻‍♀️😂
Sarcastic protectors are the BEST! Dunno but nothing is greater than a sarcastic asshole being attached to and protective of that one single person they'd do anything for😍😍😍🙈
"prefer him happy"...Uhm, did you even read what you wrote about your space opera or the bitter future daughter fic?? HOW IS THAT HIM BEING HAPPY?!?! YOU MAKE HIM SUFFER JUST AS MUCH!😅😅😅😂😂
SHE ABSOLUTELY IS!! 😍😍 I binged all her stories before I had an account and uff, I'm still bedazzled by the awesomness that is "Forgotten" and ohhh, don't get me started on "Bring Me To Life"😍😍 Ohh, or "Jinxed"! And the other One-Shots, too, ofc!😁😁
HAHAHA thanks😊 and noo, I'm pretty sure at this point I might be more sleeping than be awake😉😉
Yess, dito 😂 And hey, Luffy does kinda have the same vibe as S2!Mon-El...Well, the other way around, since Luffy was around first, but you get what I mean 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 And just imagine MarineAdmiral!Kara being all high and mighty about justice only for PirateCaptain/King!Mon to swoop in and turn her world around and them being all arguing-y etc until they fall in love and maybe the Legion being Mon's crew 🤔😂😂😂
Oh god...That poor therapist😅😅🙈🙈 I think they might need one of their own afterwards😉
Ohh, apropo One Piece, I've been rewatching Ace's...end...again and now I have this idea of a Post-finale fic where the reason Mon-El told Kara he wouldn't be back in this timeline is because time travel is actually outlawed unless it's about saving the universe from ending (I mean, technically the Legends of Tomorrow did on two instances introduce a group regulating time travel, so it wouldn't even be that surprising) and him and Winn coming back in the last episode was actually against the laws since there wouldn't have been a difference apart from KARA dying but other than that no effects on the future. So Mon-El knew he would be charged and at the very least locked away, tho probably even executed because that's the usual punishment. Winn doesn't even know that and Mon-El makes excused for him by telling the -let's call it Time Police for now- time Police that Winn only acted on his superior's (aka Mon-El's orders...) and therefore isn't to blame but Mon himself... Maybe Winn finds out about it when he returns from the wedding and ohh, Rokk (who in my head is Mon's second in command cause no way that's Imra just cause they are/were married) is SOOO pissed and well, it'd probably turn into an all out war with the Time police vs the Legion and allied forces (and yes, Mon-El, like Ace, is an idiot who is totally fine being executed and just wants the Legion etc to go before they and others get hurt, esp. after they'd been working SO HARD for peace all these years...) and well, Winn would probably run off to tell Kara etc and they'd get involved too? 🤔🤔 Ahh, not sure, but I kinda wanna actually write this😂😂
Aww, thanks (and as I said, I'm probably even sleeping too much😉) and you too!😊😊 Haha, don't know about that description, but I'm sure all will be fine😁 I hope the same for you, too!😁
XXX
You can go to a place with wi-fi once per week.
Well, I want to start writing the last chap on weekend so, keep your fingers crossed.
...didn't see taht coming.
Well, after one ep I wanted all of them dead, so....but I feel your pain of having nothing good else to watch.
Oh. i know that. i heard the villain Ks squad is the best ;D
Yeah, the I'm So Done with idiots, But This One I My Idiot, Stay Away Or I Will Reap Your Spine Out - perfection
The point is, he would survive and be happy, not erased from existence. That's the DIFFERENCE, pal =='
@themoonfortress you have more fangirling about your writings that you deserve in 1000% ;D
Sounds like a nice thing to do, I approve. Tell LW to do the same!
I'm not a big fan of One Piece, don't sue me, but it sounds niceeeeee.
That poor therapist would be CAT GRANT. I guess her patients would be much much poorer *evil laugh*
.....so you want him to suffer again.......
I mean, cool idea.... better explanation than the no explanation we got from the Sg finale. Stilll, MONSTER. I'm telling LW all of it.
Ok, but take care of your ass! You need to be happy , healthy and rested to write a NICE karamel stories ;)
