I’m overthinking the setup of the Trial again and I just keep thinking like. Shouldn’t the power to move objects between the universes be Maxwell’s power?

Like just ignore everything that X1 and X2 says because it retcons itself/was never meant to lead into X2’s worldbuilding. If Maxwell is physical matter and Chronos is Time and Origin is nothingness, then the Key’s ability to move things between dimensions who aren’t already connected to the Chromatus makes more sense as a subset of Maxwell’s powers.

I have so many thoughts for a rewrite that makes the worldbuilding make sense but it doesn’t matter what I do I still can’t change the fact that X1 as a story feels really unfinished if Maxwell doesn’t tell anyone about the Trial 😂
