Okay here is an idea to run with.
Desmond as Fenrir the great wolf
Edward as Joguarmander the world serpent
And Elsie as Hel goddess of death.
@fanworldbuildingfun and I had an idea of Desmond being Fenrir’s Sage set in Valhalla’s time so, for this one, let’s set this up on modern day.
We’ll make this part of Loki and Aletheia’s plan to reunite their family.
Using Yggdrassil as the basis of their plan, they selected specific time for their children to be reborn and for their ‘data’ to be recorded.
Unlike Sages, their children are reborn without their memories of the past and as humans but there is a ‘key’ in their genetic memories that serves as both a point that Loki and Aletheia can find as well as a catalyst for them to remember their old memories.
They couldn’t record their children’s data themselves because the Solar Flare was upon them so they used what they know of the Calculations and replaced specific people who would be recorded by the Animus with the data of their children.
Of course, this was incomplete.
Human tenacity is embedded into our genes which only served to keep these people’s Isu memories deep below.
Loki starts his plan to resurrect his children and trigger the catalyst by using two specific methods:
1) The Phoenix project which will grant them a new body
2) The Animus records which will recover their data (unfortunately, their life as a human as well but that will be taken care of once their Isu memories return)
Of course, it would take some time to recreate the bodies because a certain brat destroyed the majority of the Phoenix project’s data so Loki and Aletheia would have to fix that (and get the materials needed to create the bodies).
Élise de la Serre was the first to be reborn, mostly because Hel was Aletheia’s favorite. Her memories of Hel definitely takes over Élise’s memories but there are times when she would lose herself to the greatest of her memories. To avenge her father. Sometimes, she looks at Loki and asks him how he’s still alive or that he isn’t her father.
The tenacity of humans truly are quite annoying.
Midgardsormen has… always been rebellious. He had been fascinated with humans, even went as far as protect some during the Isu-human war. So, really, Loki and Aletheia weren’t surprised when he left to join the Brotherhood. Unlike Élise, Edward’s memories and Midgardsormen’s memories fused. He’s the most stable of them although there were times when their memories would mix. Most specifically, he would always remember his younger brother Fenrir to look exactly like Desmond Miles. Edward does care for Midgardsormen’s family but he feels like it’s his responsibility to support the Brotherhood, especially after he learned that his own son became a Templar after his death and his descendant died saying the world.
Fenrir.
Ah, Fenrir.
He was the youngest and Loki’s most precious child.
He was also the one with the most complicated situation because…
Desmond Miles’ data in the Animus doesn’t have the catalyst that shows that he is Fenrir reborn.
And Loki believes he knows where Fenrir’s catalyst is.
Because there is another ‘digital space’ that houses Desmond Miles’ data.
The endless expanse of the Gray where the Reader lies, looking over each and every timeline to find the answer to save humanity.
He holds Fenrir’s catalyst.
He is Fenrir.
They have to find a way to find him…
And his companion, the very same person that they had betrayed and sacrificed to make their family whole again.
