Twisted Sister Aftermath Review Part 1

Hai hidey do everyone, it’s your friendly neighbourhood Review Anon here! Another Arc has come and past us and as such it’s time to review it! Hopefully I don’t end up with 5k worth of words here and have three megaton submissions here (and from now on I am not going back to using asks, why the heck I used asks beforehand is beyond me) Speaking of, I have a question, do you want me to go back and review previous arcs? Probably won’t do this until we have any kind of break or hiatus so to not break flow? But that’s enough time being wasted, we have the Twisted Sister Aftermath Arc here, and this review isn’t going anywhere so let’s get right into it!

Relationships and Reflections

So, when we last left off, Hajime passed out from inhaling too much smoke while saving Tsurugi from the bomb explosion and as it turned out he has been asleep for a good 8 hours! Its Monday but despite that the school is shut, which is understandable given that we had criminals running around and a serial killer attacking the school the previous day, Hope’s Peak seems to be more sensible than my previous school which didn’t shut down even when one of the main buildings got flooded (long story there). But the good news is that nearly all the criminals were captured by the QC and the police and are back where they belong. The bad news is that 3 criminals are still at large. 2 of them are petty criminals that have nothing to be concerned but there is one criminal who IS a big concern. You have 3 guesses who that person is and the first 2 don’t count. Yep, its Maverick Storm alright.

So, time for a bit of a confession here, Maverick as a character…isn’t all new to me. For some of you old timers here there was a blog called ‘Despair Kids’ which started out as Class 78 asking questions and then it evolved into an AU with lots of OCs, so many that it got too overwhelming and I lost interest in it. But there were a few I generally liked, and Kyoji’s and Maverick’s characters really stood out to me. When I started to read the enormous backlog of this blog, (I wish the best of luck to all newcomers and try to not binge it, even if you are a fast reader), and Umeko showed up during the Practical Exams arc, I got a sense of Deja vu, as I recalled hearing that character’s name before. But I didn’t think much at the time, not helped by the fact that Umeko was a pretty minor character in the Despair Kids, even when Maverick was on his self-imposed challenge to kill all of his class, Umeko evaded him by just dimension travelling to another universe, so her character didn’t have much impact. But as soon as I heard Kyoji and Maverick mentioned I thought ‘Oh…OH IT’S THE SAME PERSON WHO MADE THOSE CHARACTERS!’. And as mentioned, I really liked those OCs anyway so that as well as using Another characters really got me invested into this blog. And with all that said, let me reassure you guys that Maverick is a bastard with a capital B. The stuff he gets up to in Despair Kids, where he was a member of Despair, but secretly plotted to overthrow Junko, even the other Mods/Role-players were disgusted by it. Now Maverick is probably going to be going through some changes as the Mod’s OCs in this blog aren’t the same as the characters from the Despair Kids. To give some examples Kyoji’s backstory doesn’t mention Mikan, Kyoji isn’t into Mikan, he’s more into Miaya, Maverick got jailed etc. So, I won’t be surprised when Storm starts pulling shit, probably not as bad as Despair Kids as he isn’t under Junko’s thumb here…but hard to tell at the moment. But yeah, you have been warned, I consider Maverick a villain as bad as Junko and Mikado, and you will soon see why.

But enough about a character who hasn’t officially shown up yet, let’s focus on a reformed villain and that is the new and improved Kanade! I feel mixed upon this new Kanade as part of me wants to love her as in this state she is so sweet and innocent, which is what people probably thought of Kanade when they first saw her in SDAR2, and I did at first, my thoughts about Kanade at the time were ‘It’s almost as if Hiyoko and Mikan are siblings, let’s hope Kanade doesn’t go crazy like Mikan did’ and that statement aged like milk. When Kanade became suspiciously smart and helpful during the Class Trials I was kinda sus because normally with the Trial Point Getters there is normally some logic to why said character is good in the Trails, like Koroko being a Psychologist can analysis people’s feelings and deduce who the culprit, and Syobai’s background means he has to use his brain quite a bit, but Kanade is supposed to be a Guitarist in a Pop band, she shouldn’t be this good. But my theory was she was lying about her talent, because that’s nothing new in Danganronpa, but ho boy was that a mistake. But at the same time as much as I want to hug this new Kanade, I’m also hyper conscious that the mindwipe might not be a permeant solution as well Junko got mindwiped in the OG timeline and we all know how well THAT ended. Then again, the relapse didn’t fully occur until Yasuke decided to kill Ryoko so as long as nobody tries to strangle Kanade, we should be good. It also means that Hibiki gets the little sister that she thought she had back, and you can tell this a new stage of development for her. Hibiki has grown as a person since back in July but while that part of her character development has finished, a new part starts as she tries and rebuild a proper healthy relationship with Kanade because Hibiki wasn’t completely innocent in the reason why Kanade became a monster. Granted, a lot of it was Kanade being twisted to begin with but had Hibiki been kinder and not been a total bitch to her, I don’t think Kanade would have gone fully down the deep end as it seems her psychopathic behaviour is more of a nurture rather than nature thing. Something I believe will be explored a bit more once Junko enters the scene because well…Kanade is basically Junko on easy mode. The real deal will be a lot harder to handle. And naturally Kyoji has offered to take care of her…I don’t know why Kyoji has turned into the guardian of reformed little girls, but it’s a welcome surprise to be sure. I just hope Kanade doesn’t get wrapped up in Storm’s schemes because given that Kyoji is his arch-enemy…

We can make sure Kanade is a good girl now but there’s still the small issue that she escaped from jail and the police are looking for her so one needs to fake her death. This is a joint operation by Kyoji and Nikei as Kyoji cloned some of Kanade’s body parts and left them near where a bomb went off to give the impression that Kanade got killed during the Prison Break, and judging from Tsurugi’s reaction, it seems to have worked. Speaking of Tsurugi, he is resting and due to his injuries is desk bound for a couple of weeks and receiving care from Mikan. Mikan caring for Tsurugi helps in two ways, as firstly being the Ultimate Nurse, she would be qualified to help make sure nothing serious happens to Tsurugi and Tsurugi doesn’t know that Mikan is part of the Quantum Crew and working with Kasugano, so it means someone is near Tsurugi who can relay information to Kasugano and co. That’s two girls with ties to Kasugano that Tsurugi has interacted with and he doesn’t suspect a thing. Okay to be fair with Akane when he first met her, she was an independent force and wasn’t working for Kasugano at that point but my point still stands. Not much to talk about our police boy here aside from Mod confirming that Tsurugi x Kouhei is going to be a thing in this blog. To be fair everyone could see the sexual tension between those two and that’s why people felt funny when Kanade mocked their relationship as they wanted to ship the two but it meant siding with a demonic guitar child. But said demonic guitar child is no more so no need to worry about shipping! And as for Nikei, he is writing up an article detailing Kanade’s demise as to throw the media off Kanade’s scent and then it’s just waiting for all the media hype around Kanade to die down and once that happens, she can be transferred to one of the many care facilities that Kyoji knows. How many does he know at this point? And while we are on the subject of Newsie here, it’s time to discuss a growing friendship, and possible relationship that is developing between him and Akane.

I had my suspicions for some time by their interactions but it was Akane’s and Nikei’s interactions in this Arc which solidified my viewpoint on their relationship. And that is Akane is more or less a foil to Mikado. Think about it for a second. They weren’t founding members of Void, they both grew up in hellish orphanages, got out of said orphanages thanks to Utsuro, ended up meeting the man himself at some point and inherited his Divine Luck at various points, though Mikado only succeeded in a Bad Ending. But at the same time, they both have different motives for going after Utsuro, Akane wanted to thank him for what he’s done for her and when she did successfully meet him, dutifully served under him, even when Junko came and corrupted them both. And while Utsuro had his crippling trust issues and constantly worried if Akane would betray him at some point, the fact that he gave Akane Divine Luck after she took mortal damage protecting the other survivors from Monokuma, showed that at some level he did care for her. Mikado desired the Divine Luck for his own personal benefit, burned down several orphanages to trigger another encounter and upon meeting with Koroko, hatched a horrible plan to ‘revive’ Utsuro, then Mikado would kill him and steal the Divine Luck for himself. Only reason it backfired was firstly because Mikado (both real and AI) didn’t realise Utsuro gave the Divine Luck to Akane, who was then later used to create Sora, and secondly Syobai betrayed him by siding with the Kisurugi Foundation. Their clashing roles can be no better illustrated then with their relationship with Void’s leader, Nikei. We don’t know how Nikei reacted to Mikado initially because it’s still a lot of unknown factors until the Onmake mode comes out canonically, but while wary at first because of how extreme Mikado’s plan was, was probably willing to trust him. And then as Mikado undermined him and usurped the role of leader from Nikei, that relationship quickly soured and a rotting despairing sense of hatred and revenge grew within Nikei, eroding away his humanity (from reading LINUQ’s blog, where he goes into detail regarding the various characters from SDAR2, he states that Nikei used to be a lot more warm-hearted before Mikado came along, but his hatred for the wizard made him much crueller) And it got to the point where the lines between Nikei and Mikado got blurry, and I’ll say that Nikei ended up being no different from Mikado in the end. And thus, he died a broken hateful mess. Now as for Akane, she and Nikei got off on a bad note; she kicked Nikei in the stomach, he responded by almost blowing Akane’s brains out, fun stuff like that. But once the misunderstanding and proof that Akane was good arose, a friendship of sorts started to develop between the two. The first signs we saw of this is *sigh* Oncoming Storm Arc. Among the hot pile of shit that Arc was, one of the VERY, VERY few good parts about it, was that when some Anons unintendedly hit a trigger phrase for Akane, which was mentioning older men, she went into a panic attack and out of all the people who could have comforted Akane during this moment, it was Nikei who did so. And now in this arc, we are seeing that Nikei is a bit more open with Akane then he is with other non-Void members of the Quantum Crew. He’s not taken the news that he snapped back to his old self during the Massacre timeline well, and bemoans that it shows he hasn’t changed, but Akane reassures him he has and that the timeline can serve as a lesson to improve oneself from and mentions she had trust issues initially but thanks to Utsuro, she is very much a people person now. And of course, we get the cute wholesome scene of those two cuddling each other, can someone please make fanart of these two cuddling, we need it. Mikado brought the worst out of Nikei and eventually led to his death, whereas Akane brings out the best in Nikei and would possibly help him into living a full refreshing life. Sora is more or less the third wheel in this relationship.

Annnnddd…I have talked for way too long. That’s part 1 of the review where I talk about relationships regarding all the characters but when we come back its when the plot comes back in when Class 77-B gets debriefed on the truth and a shocking new discovering on Time Travel is revealed. Day 6 of @khoc-week : Life’s Perks

Another writing snippet for today! No spoilers to speak of this time, just a fun little moment between the Destiny gang at the very beginning of Book 2 - Inferno’s Edge...before all the angst really gets going.

As of now I don’t have anything planned for tomorrow’s prompt, so this is probably my last post. Thanks for the fun week, and thank you in particular, Mod Lucky, for all your sweet comments on my posts!

“I bet we've gone way over our normal training time by now.”

I gave a short laugh. “Think maybe Sora will actually be out of bed when we get there this time?”

“I wouldn't count on it. I have a feeling our arrival is the only reason he gets up when he does.”

Shaking my head, I clicked my tongue in disapproval. “Heroes. What are you gonna do with 'em?”

To our surprise, once Riku had rowed us back to the mainland, we found Sora and Kairi both on the beach waiting for us. “There you two are!” Sora exclaimed as we clambered ashore. “You took forever this morning!”

“Obviously even longer than we thought, since you're not only awake, but dressed and out of the house,” I returned. Sora stuck his tongue out at me, and Kairi giggled. I gestured toward the latter. “She woke you up, didn't she?”

“Yep.” She clasped her hands behind her back with a smile. “I woke up and got ready at the normal time, and when I didn't get a text from you I decided to head over to Sora's anyway. After he finished breakfast, and you guys still weren't back, we came down here to wait for you.” She jabbed her thumb in Sora's direction. “He wanted to go over to the play island to find you, but I wouldn't let him. Just in case...you know...you guys needed some alone time.”

I raised one eyebrow at her. “I'm not sure what you're implying, but yeah, we got caught up talking about a bunch of different stuff.”

“Talking, hm?” Kairi smirked mischievously.

Sora had turned and walked past me a couple of steps, and stooped down to pluck a seashell out of the sand. Straightening, he examined it closely. “Thought you guys were supposed to be training, not talking.”

“Oh, trust me, we did that, too,” Riku answered, giving me a knowing look.

Without warning, I threw my arms over Sora's shoulders and collapsed my full weight onto his back. “He tried to kill me, Sora!” I moaned.

“Ugh!” Stumbling forward, Sora dropped the shell in his hand and just barely kept his balance. “What, and now you're passing on the favor to me?”

“I'm so tired...”

Sora must have given Riku a questioning look, because the older boy shrugged. “All I did was teach her Strike Raid.”

“Over and over and over and over...”

“Okay, yeah, I got it.” Sora waved his hands in front of his face to shut me up, and I grinned. Why it was so much fun to annoy him, I wasn't sure. He was kind of like a little brother, I supposed – even though we were technically the same age. One of these days, if we didn't all die of old age first, I was certain that he would end up being my brother-in-law, so the relationship seemed to fit. Future brother-in-law...now there's a title I should use at some point to tease him...or Kairi...or both.

For now, though, I went with a phrase that I knew would immediately perk him up. “I need ice cream.”

“Ooh, that sounds good!” he predictably replied.

Riku wasn't as impressed. “Ice cream? Didn't you two just finish breakfast?”

“Ah, who cares! Come on, let's race to the cart!”

I still had not stopped hanging off of Sora's shoulders, and now took the opportunity to leap up and wrap my legs around his waist. “I'm too tired. Carry me.”

“Wha-?”

“Giddy up.” I kicked at his legs.

“I'm not a horse!”

Laughing, Kairi ran over and jumped onto Riku's back. “I want a ride, too! I haven't had a piggy-back ride in ages!”

Riku groaned, though he was obviously fighting back a smile as he wrapped his arms around Kairi's knees. “She's too tired from training...what's your excuse?”

Kairi set her lips into a pout. “You still owe me for leaving me here alone for a year?”

Though I couldn't blame her for that stance at all, after the discussion I had just had with Riku my heart skipped a beat on his behalf. His face went completely serious for the briefest of moments as something flashed in his eyes, but an instant later he was nodding and jostling his friend up higher on his back.

“Fair enough. Let's go get you kids some ice cream.” He took off at a jog, with Kairi squealing with surprised laughter.

“Hey!” Sora protested, taking a few unsteady steps before breaking into an awkward run himself. I wrapped my arms further around him to keep from being shaken off. “Hey wait!”

“I thought you wanted to race!” Riku threw back over his shoulder.

“Yeah, but...! That was before...!” Sora huffed and grumbled under his breath before shouting again. “This is not a fair race!”

“How is it not fair?” Riku laughed, still way ahead of us. “They're the same exact size!”

“Yeah, but we're not!” Sora shot back.

I slapped him gently on the head. “Aw, stop your complaining before you insult me, and just go catch him! You know you're just as fast as he is.”

A little flattery went a long way with this boy. In an instant, he was grabbing hold of my legs and shifting me into position, and his steps began to quicken. “Yeah, I am. Okay, let's go!”

I let out an unintentional squeak as he broke into a full-on run, all of the bouncing making me start to regret my choices. Soon, though, we started to catch up to Riku and Kairi, and her uncontrollable giggles were infectious. I started laughing, too, and only stopped when we all collapsed into a breathless pile in front of the ice cream cart.

“Let's...not do that...again,” Riku panted.

I nodded. “Yeah. Agreed.”

“It was your idea! And you didn't even do any work!” Sora protested, punching me in the arm.

“Yes, but it was a bad one. I think I might have either brain or spinal damage.”

Kairi shrugged, still smiling. “I had fun.”

Riku and I simultaneously shoved her backwards into the sand.

Bleach, From Pilot to Ch. 423: Things I Forgot Or Were Excluded From The Anime

Turns out I had forgotten a lot of things tho they might not seem that important. Anyway, the list is long so I’ll keep it under the cut. It’s a bit messy but I was just writing it as I was reading and then I somehow expected myself to remember what I was talking about. Posting it for anybody else who could use the reminder.

Please keep in mind that I’m pretty sure the translation I was reading wasn’t a 100% correct but I couldn’t be bothered to find a better one. Seems like it improved later on but I’d still take it with a grain of salt. (Like I’m pretty sure this translator couldn’t read hiragana properly, and some names were really messed up.)

- I did not know there was a pilot chapter so yeah... that entire thing I guess. - Orihime being that open about her crush from the beginning - Orihime’s parents being such cruel people - Orihime’s hairpins being a gift from Sora - The backstory of the mod souls - Chad’s crazy about cute things - Keigo is from Naruki City, not Karakura - Mizuiro being really popular with girls - Renji and Byakuya with weird hoods, idk if that was part of the anime and so far there’s been a part from the anime that wasn’t in the manga (The part with Ichigo seeing Rukia fight a hollow in town before she comes into his room) - Orihime is bad with electronics - Ishida is poor - Tatsuki told Orihime that she is probably at the level of a black belt in karate (I don’t know if she was honest about that but she said it) - Orihime is really dang smart - I forgot Nemu was technically Mayuri’s daughter -Also Mayuri is awful, he belongs in worst dad club with Isshin (I also didn’t remember Isshin being SUCH a creep but I guess I forgot to write that earlier. Or I just decided not to since reviewing this list afterwards I realize I left some other creepy things out.) - Mayuri can turn into liquid - Zanpakutou Materializing Dolls, and other artefacts. So many artefacts. Never to be mentioned or used ever again. - Kira feeling super guilty over raising a sword at Hinamori. - Orihime just chilling with Yachiru, Ikkaku, and Yumichika after the was separated from Uryuu. Oh and Zaraki’s there too. - Hisagi having been accepted as a shinigami before he passed the exams, expected to become a seated officer - Rukia idolised Kaien’s wife - That Komamura was that loyal to Yamamoto - I remember Kenpachi fighting Komamura and Tousen, not picking a fight with Komamura, Tousen, Iba, and Hisagi. Neither did I remember Ikkaku and Yumichika joining in, it’s just entirely gone from my memory - Byakuya’s scarf is a really expensive heirloom. - Byakuya was really cold in the beginning, supposedly not caring about his subordinates (idk if he really changed later on but this stood out to me in the moment. Also speaking of Byakuya, I think he seemed older to me when watching the anime because of the voice.) - Really I had forgotten a lot about the animosity between Byakuya and Renji - Rukia doesn’t refer to Gin as “Captain Ichimaru” and he doesn’t mind since they’ve “known eachother for so long”. Apparently she’s deathly afraid of him. - Kaname got his zanpakutou from the grave of the lady he liked? I’ve always wondered how people get their zanpakutous anyway ‘cause I don’t think Zaraki had any training and I’m pretty sure it’s the same sword he had when he met Yachiru, yet Zangetsu comments on how the sword is crying. (I’m also curious about if people could potentially wield other zanpakutous, which I think is a thing in the quincy arc but I’m talking like... normal people. I think it’d be neat since there’s already two people that have just... picked up a zanpakutou before they even became shinigamis.) - Rikichi! He’s such a big fan of Renji! He got Hanatarou out of jail just to help Renji. He didn’t only get him a new uniform but also a hair tie and a bandana. I’m a little sad that he never seems to show up ever again? (At least I don’t remember him being in the quincy arc but that’ll have to be it’s own list I guess) - Ukitake and Kyouraku stopping and destroying Soukyoku - Kiyone calling Isane sister. - Soifon getting ready to take out Kiyone and the other vice-captain. - Kyouraku being praised for being the best at seeing the true character of anyone he meets, and Ukitake always being the centre of a crowd although (frail, but affable and kind) - Yamamoto thinking of Ukitake and Kyouraku as sons - Katen Kyoukotsu and Sogyo no Kotowari are the only zanpakutous that exist in pairs (allegedly) (I don’t remember why I wrote allegedly but I had some thought behind it......) - Soi Fong’s name was Shaolin Fong until she inherited her grandmother’s code name. - Soi Fong not being angry with Yoruichi because she ran away, but because she didn’t take her with her - Iba having been part of the 11th division, but becoming Komamura’s vice-captain (supposedly for his mom) - Iba wanting to get a chance to fight Ichigo - Byakuya only showing Senkei Senbonzakura Kageyoshi to people he wants to kill personally, Ichigo being the second person. I can’t recall if the first person was ever revealed? - Kira going along with the scheme and leading away Hitsugaya and Matsumoto from the Central 46 chambers. He was told they wouldn’t do anything to Hinamori - Hinamori joined the Gotei 13 because she admired Aizen, which would imply she met him before the soul burial training accident, but idk if that’s a translation mistake - Unohana confronting Aizen in the Central 46 chambers and calling him a treacherous reprobate - How Kyoka Suigetsu works. I forgot that for it to work on someone they need to see the release, and that after that the person who saw it will be completely hypnotised every time he releases it from then on. - Aizen was certain that he could use all three of Kira, Hinamori, and Renji back when they first met, but Renji was problematic so he was sent on to squad 11 while Kira and Hinamori were made Aizen and Gin’s vice-captains - Ichigo and Renji trying to fight Aizen together - Ichigo being a fucking monster! Who stays conscious after having their stomach cut open like that? In the anime it was just a really bad slash but since the manga is a but more graphic I’m only now like “oh wow that is really fucking bad” - There were names for the four basic types of combat for shinigamis. Zanjutsu(sword skills), Hakuda(hand-to-hand combat), Hohou(foot work), and Kidou. - Hollowfication is brought up this early, but I guess it makes sense because he’s explaining the Hougyoku. - Urahara, not Aizen, hid the Hougyoku inside Rukia. - Urahara was exiled for creating an intractable gigai? I don’t think so Aizen, but okay. Also he was trying to turn Rukia into a human soul. Hm. - Komamura coming in to destroy Aizen mid-monologue. Thank you. (After reading Ichigo’s last fight with Aizen I am so tired of him talking aaahhhhh!) - All the gate guardians except for Jidanbou are traitors, Kuukaku shows up with Jidanbou (was this in the anime???) - I remember Ichigo hanging out with squad 11 after the whole Aizen thing, but I did not remember Iba being there too which is nice. They didn’t get to spar tho. - Matsumoto and Kira getting drunk and venting about Gin, though it’s portrayed pretty comically. Matsumoto proceeds to invite pretty much anyone who passes by, except for Kyouraku. - Ryuuken is part of the shitty dad club. - Shinigami Isshin was revealed pretty much right after Shinji, I didn’t remember it being so early. - Also I didn’t remember the protection charm either but hey it worked. - Did- Did Orihime really only get to use Tsubaki ONCE?? - Also that entire fight with Yammy and Ulquiorra is just so much bloodier than in the anime - That moment when Ichigo tells Chad to leave D.Roy to him and Chad runs away, that hurt, ow my heart - Keigo being there to watch Ikkaku fight Eduardo. Also Keigo having a chat with Yumichika. - Ikkaku losing his molars in the fight with Eduardo is. - Yumichika going “oh and btw, make preparations for Ikkaku’s funeral” - Flashback about Ikkaku fighting Zaraki in the past. - Ikkaku being determined to fight and die under Kenpachi’s command. - Ururu kicking Ilfordt in the face- I mean Ururu going in to exterminate Ilfordt. - References to Toshirou’s bankai being incomplete. - Shawlong being the first arrancar to be created. (Allegedly? Supposedly? Succesfully? It depends on a lot, it’s a bit of an assumption.) - The power limit that is placed on captains and vice-captains when they go to the world of the living is symbolised by the division’s symbol. Oh and it takes away 80% of their power. Motherfucking damn bitch Ikkaku. Also good job Rukia. (I don’t remember what these last two sentences are refering to tbh) - Tatsuki watching the fight (I’m assuming the first) between Ichigo and Grimmjow, or at least part of it. - I guess I forgot to mention this earlier but Orihime being jealous of Rukia and her relationship with Ichigo - Tousen really not liking Grimmjow because he causes discord - Ichigo trying the beat the answers out of the Vaizards. - Goddamn Ichigo has a lot of attitude. - Urahara telling Orihime that she would be a burden in battle and Rukia talking to her afterwards. Now that I think of it, I’ve never seen manga screenshots of that part so I guess it’s only in the anime. Well that’s disappointing. Then what did Szayel even do? (Still sad they don’t fight more in the manga, bluh. Also I’m still not sure what Szayel actually did.) - Nnoitra thinking it a shame that they (him and Neliel I think) won’t get to fight again. - Mayuri observing Uryuu through bacteria, and Uryuu calling him out for violating human rights - Szayel rebirthing himself from Nemu, wtf. If he dies, he dies.” - Nnoitra, after releasing Santa Teresa: “Kinda sexy, isn’t it?” (I don’t trust this translation a 100% but what was written was “I look sexy, right?”) - And Zaraki responding with “your reiatsu is making me hard…” - The Living World as seen through the Garganta in Las Noches is upside-down - Hikifune and the Royal Guard being mentioned during Turn Back The Pendulum - Hiyori looking up to Hikifune as a mother - Urahara being Commander of the Detention Unit in the 2nd Division, and the unit keeping people who wanted to withdraw from the Gotei 13, not just criminals. - Urahara making Mayuri his Vice Captain in the research institute - Barragan’s fraccions having packed together his throne and brought it with them - I can’t believe Charlotte’s magical girl scene was only in the anime but I suppose it makes sense - Hisagi’s fight with Findor was also shorter in the manga which is… kind of a shame? Idk it was pretty well made in the anime, but I guess it’s because they were just coming back from a break and all. - Hisagi and Kira stopping Yumichika from rushing in after Ikkaku was beaten, Komamura stepping in to take care of the arrancar… whose name I’ve already forgotten once again. - Iba calling Ikkaku out for not using his bankai and punching him in the face. Good. I like Ikkaku but the pillar did get destroyed because of him so it was a pretty bad move. - Hinamori making a kidou net - Kira used to be in the 4th division, did I already write that? - The Gran Rey Cero being forbidden to use inside of Las Noches but leave it to Grimmjow not to care about any of that - Kyouka Suigetsu’s ability can be cancelled by grabbing the blade. - They sent Aizen to Avici, or I guess a prison named after Avici - Yamamoto scolding Byakuya, Shunsui, and Kenpachi for losing their captain’s haori and they proceed to insult it - They actually mention Mayuri going back to Hueco Mundo

Okay so Mod Demyx is a broke normie who never played any Final Mixes or watched any lets plays / playthroughs about it , so I had to do a lotta research on this because it’s an entirely new zone that only shows up on KHII Final Mix -

Like I found little info regarding this entire zone, other than guides on how to complete it so you’re all free to educate me and add to this post any info/lore that I might’ve missed !

but long story short : I believe the Garden of Assemblage was built by the Organization XIII itself !

If you wanna read my entire thought process at fuckin 9 am because it’s when I started writing this and theories, it’s all under the cut !

SO FOR STARTERS, HERE’S CONTEXT FOR THOSE LIKE ME WHO ARE DUMMY POOR AND/OR DIDN’T KNEW ABOUT THIS The Garden of Assemblage is a “secret” room that allows Sora to fight hella strong hella beefy replica datas of the OrgXIII.

The team probably added this in the Final Remix just to give the game more content and even harder battles, since everyone’s a masochist and just wants more and more bosses to beat - meaning that there’s probably not much shit about it, story wise. Like it doesn’t even show up in KH3, so that kinda speaks volumes too.

But since we like to overthink and give meaning to things in this blog, i’m gonna ramble.

The Garden of Assemblage is accessed by going through sick parkour scenes in the Cavern of Remembrance - and the latter is clearly meant to be closed off, because Sora can’t get there until the attack on Hollow Bastion causes a fucking hole in the wall in the postern. The zones inside the cavern are also things that aren’t meant to be traversed or open to normal public, like a fuckin engine room, a mineshaft and y’know. All those fucking heartless lurking, being little creachers. Basically, you need to be a skilled fighter and have sick powers to get there.

But even so, there’s white ivory doors leading you from place to place. And near the end, a long ass fucking white hall (Transport to Remembrance) with waves of high ranking Nobodies - way stronger and organized than regular Nobodies of the same type, pretty much guarding the place and keeping people from reaching the end. So with this you can pretty much guess that the Organization is directly involved with this zone, since lesser Nobodies don’t act on their own like Heartless do. If they’re there, it’s because they’ve been ordered to be there.

( Originally, I was gonna say maybe DiZ / Ansem the Wise created the Garden of Assemblage to keep tabs and info on the OrgXII or something - but since there’s Nobodies guarding the place, he can’t be involved with this at all)

And well. It’s clear that Xemnas as the big b o s s has to know about something like this. We could also argue that he made the entire thing by himself but it would make more sense if all the Apprentices ( Xemnas himself, Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, Lexaeus and Zexion ) built the Garden of Assemblage together, just like they built the Chamber of Repose !

As for the reason this place was built, I’ll go with the easy route : All the data stored there are exclusively fights against stronger members of the Organization, so maybe they were storing or messing around with that shit in case they needed to make replicas ? Dunno !

But yeah, to answer your question with my personal theory : All the Apprentices’ Somebodies know about the Garden of Assemblage. And since it doesn’t make a comeback in any way in KH3, we can assume they either forgot or closed off the place to prevent all that data from falling into the wrong hands. Like, they could’ve told Lea and Isa since they’re the only other two Somebodies that get redeemed but I don’t think it would have much effect on them.

But you know what would be heartbreaking to see ? All of them reacting to the “graveyard”, Proof of Existence.

Sunrise

Shin is sitting up on the roof, sketching the sky, it was kinda cold up there but his inspiration was speaking

There is the sound of footsteps. “Oh, is someone here already?”

He seems to be sketching something

She sits down. “What are you drawing?”

“I was sketching out a shirt for the line i’m going to release,”

“Oh, nice.” She said. “Why are you here so early?”

“I just love the colours of the sky this early on, that and it’s just kinda nice up here,”

“Oh.” She said, playing with her jacket. “Okay, then.”

“So how are you?..”

“Fine, considering everything. Kinda homesick, but I have my friends and this is the best I could ask for.”

“Hm,” He sketches in his notebook

She looks at her feet before taking out her knife and starting to play with it between her hands.

“do you always have a knife on you?”

“Yes.” She simply said. “Why do you ask?”

“Just wondering, i always see you with one,”

“Usualy I keep it under my skirt, but yeah. It’s always in my reach.”

“Speaking of that I love your skirt, goes well with the colour palet you have,”

“I just tried to pick things that looked like my sister’s clothes at first… And then found out I like the colors.”

“It suits you well, goes well with your hair, If you want I could try to make something for you?”

“I’d love it!” She said, spinning around. “I don’t have much clothes here. I’d love if you made me something!”

“Cool!. Is there anything you need?”

“I won’t wear short sleeved shirts or pants, but I’m pretty open to anything besides it.”

“Ok!” he looks around in a cloth kit he brought up, taking various red and black fabrics out and gets to work

Sora watches him work, humming while she does it, a song that won’t be written to another decade at least

Shin finishes it, adding a small bit of flair. It is a black overcoat, looks like leather with a zipper with what appears to be a little ceramic blood drop as the zipper. the inside a nice red silk. also in said jacket is a sewn in knife sheath “Thank you!” She hugged him, removing her regular jacket to put the new overcoat

“You like it?” he feels proud

“I love it a lot!” She smiled. “It feeds my inner goth.”

a cute giggle snort comes out of his mouth, him quickly becoming embarrassed at his laugh

“What?” She asked. “Is something wrong?”

“My laugh…” he’s embarrassed

“What’s wrong with that?”

“Did you listen to it?”

“Yes? It was cute?”

“No its not… its weird…”

“I don’t think so.” Sora said. “But, of course, my standart of weird is probably very different from yours.”

“I guess…”

He checks his phone, glaring at the screen as he sighs at the screen quickly panicking a bit after “Oh…. god fuck…”

“What’s wrong?”

“Ohshitohshit oh shit”

“Are you okay?”

“Fuck… My dad… he’s going to stop paying for hope’s peak…”

“Wait, what? Why?”

“Something about teachers, and the over all attacks… FUCK”

“Which teachers? And do you want to stab your dad?” She sounds completely serious.

“ He just said the teacher… and yes…"Shit is this cause i was sneaking around at the house? course that fucking ass clown”

“Ask him to expend about the problems before we go to drastic measures.” She offered. “Do you not stay in the boarding school?”

“I stay in the boarding school…” he quickly texts, back at lightning speed. “He says that i have to get into his fucking banking shit… I don’t want to… the fucking shitwad…”

He texts back stating his displeasure and that he refuses

“I… think this is the point in the dialogue where I remind you I am thirteen and I think my parents would prefer me to not hear that many curses in one sentence.” She half joked, trying to light the mod.

“I guess, sorry… Of course, banking banking, banking, does he only think about money?” he lets out an exasperated sigh “I knew he was up to no good before this but really? cutting off funds for the school trying to suck me back home to be his puppet?”

Sora grabs his hand, pressing it. “It will be okay.”

“Yeah… Yeah… I have my own money, maybe I can use some of my own funds to pay?”

“Is it for your studies, or actually funding for the school?”

“For my studies, I think… he wasn’t a huge funder, more allowing me to actually be at the school”

“Your dad sound awful.” She said.

“You don’t say?” he says sarcastically “I knew he was awful for a while… That fucking man… is evil,”

“Hmmm?” She asked. "And… I guess it just feels weird to me?“

"Of course you do, you have parents that are decent human beings… I… Have … you heard of a Steering committee?”

Sora nods her head. She heard a lot on the steering committee in her readings, and then almost everyone she asked had some… words of choice about them. Her mother actually cursed in front of her, which was rare.

“I Think… My dad was a member”

She covers her mouth. “Oh.”

“I was sneaking around his files during break… i found multiple things about talent… other members and hope’s peak… And the Kamakura Project…”

“Oh.” She said. “Those were fucked up, no?”

“Yep… Something about various experiments… trying to Inject talent into people…”

“There was a thing about subjects…”

“Eight subjects, almost nine.”

he pulls out his phone, he took pics…

“I was able to take a thing on possible subjects beforehand… i didn’t see the page because he was coming back, but i have the pic…”

“I’m pretty sure I read most of them.” Sora rejected him with her hand. “I was… what, seven? And had nightmares for a while.”

“Wait, subjects? I know on only one.”

“There was one paper… i haven’t looked at it, but… on the top it said it was a list of possible future subjects…”

he pulls out the pic of the document… “I… Don’t know if i want to see this”

“I don’t think you do.” She said. “I don’t think I do.”

“I mean, my dad is a fucking war criminal… oh god…”

he opens the picture…

“Don’t do it.” She begs. “It won’t do anything.”

He glances over the names… Shichiro Hayashi…Haruto Tsutada… Masayo Abe…

Shin reads the next one… And drops his phone in disgust, eyes almost bulging from his head “The Fucker…”

“He signed you as a subject.” She guessed. “You were what, 13?”

“He signed me up”

“You should talk to Nagisa about this.”

“I… I how? How do i fucking bring that up” he says, feeling a mix of rage and sadness “Hey my fucking dad signed me up to be a fucking human experiment?”

“I think it’d have better results then you might think, with Nagisa.”

“I just…” he felt like he was going to puke

Sora isn’t good with emotions of anyone but very few people, but she hugs Shin anyways.

“Oh god…”

“It’s okay.”

He just kinda sits there and accepts the hug, silent

“It’s okay. He didn’t get a chance, and now you are here and have something you can live from”

“Yeah… It will be okay.”

“I can’t promise things, but it will be okay.”

Sports Festival - The Cavalry Battle Event ✰

The sports festivalin Yumenosaki Academy was going great ! ….. Well, it was great so far, anyway.You were named as one of the facilitators, and were mainly workingbehind the scenes to make for an easy festival. Fortunately, youweren’t alone : the students from classes 1A and 3B were giving you a hand.

So you were mainlymoving stuff around, making sure the festival’s timing was right and smoothingeverything along. Kuro, Tetora and Tomoya were working with you, andyou were really glad they were here. For once, Kuro was taking chargeof moving around all the heavy stuff. “Don’t go ‘round hurtingyourself, little miss”, he’d said earlier, patting yourback. Tetora was mainly here to fuel your enthusiasm and make jokes.Tomoya was a bit intimidated by the other two but was glad he wasbeing useful. He’d just follow your every command and run about likea little puppy. That was pretty cute… When you were done cleaningup the mess the earlier group had made during one of the events, youwent to the broadcasting committee’s tent. You had only a little bitof time to spare before the next sports event would start, and youwere looking at the students sitting in the shade with enviouseyes…

When you arrivedthere, you let yourself fall onto one of the available chairs,dead-beat. Hinata, who was busy taking care of the music playedon the speakers, gave you a sympathetic smile and handed you hishalf-empty sports drink. You accepted without second thoughts :sweet, sweet fresh liquid… Maybe that was what heaven felt like.Before you had the time to ponder about that, a familiar, anxiousvoice brought you back to earth.

“Um, nii-chan,we’re running late… the next event should have started threeminutes ago, actually… What should we do ?”Hajime wasnervously biting down on his fingers, while Nazuna, seated in frontof the mic, was frowning at his phone. Apparently he didn’t have muchluck trying to call whoever was causing trouble.

“It’sWataru-chin again… I told him not to make a fuss, but you knowhim.” Unlike his usual behaviour, Nazuna looked as tired aseveryone else. It didn’t help that the afternoon was already welladvanced. He was fanning himself while staring at a balloon soaring inthe sky. Up there was (obviously) Wataru himself, acting as the MCand announcer in place of Nazuna. Leo was trying to communicate withhim using a flashlight, not that he had much success though. Wataruwas (as usual) doing as he pleased. You were about to gently patNazuna’s shoulder to comfort him when Wataru’s voice echoed loudly, making you jump up in surprise.

“… and now,ladies and gentlemen, your very own Hibiki Wataru has the immenseprivilege to announce the beginning of the next event ! Beware, forour proud cavaliers will make your hearts stutter !”

“What the heckdoes that mean, though ?” Hinata whispered in your ear and thetwo of you giggled. Wataru was now throwing confetti, more excitedthan ever.

“Yes, it isthe beginning of the wonderful Cavalry Battle !”

Midori, who wasshielding his eyes to see the event happening further on the grounds,let out a surprised gasp. You and Hinata exchanged a glance andimmediately stood up. If even Midori was surprised, that could onlymean…

You couldn’t helpbut snort when you saw them. That looked like an average cavalrybattle game at first : two students (from classes 2A and 2Brespectively) were carrying one other (from 1B, apparently) andgetting ready to engage in a fight with another group. But one thingwas terribly wrong.

The first yearstudents were dressed as female cheerleaders.

Hinata startedhowling in laughter, pointing at his twin brother. “Yuta too !Oh my god, this is the best thing ever ! I’ve gotta film this !”The other students under the tent had also stood up in surprise…

… but your eyesweren’t deceiving you. That was exactly what was happening. Shinobusomehow managed to be proud of his position, standing on top of anover-enthusiastic Subaru and a sceptical-looking Mao. His rival, onthe other hand, didn’t look nearly as proud. “I’m going todieeeee~ ! I’m really going to die, put me down, Yuzuruuuuuu~ !”Yep, that was Tori all right. Yuzuru seemed to be smiling brightly,while Souma looked concentrated as ever. He even dodged one of Tori’shelpless kicks expertly. Nazuna somehow managed to stay concentrated,as he spoke in the mic again. “On your marks, set… Go !”

The other studentswere laughing uncontrollably. This was ridiculous. The confrontationbetween Shinobu and Tori especially so. Tori seemed to be avoidingthe fight, crying loudly that there would be consequences.

Your gaze shiftedto another fight. An ever-concentrated Natsume and Mika were carryingSora, who was pirouetting and waving to the crowd. Natsume seemed tobe busy thinking of a strategy… That group looked unusuallyserious. And they could be : their opponents were none other than thefearsome Track and Field club members. Adonis was almost carrying avery determined Mitsuru single-handedly : Arashi was barely holdinghis leg. They were rushing to Sora’s group : that one promised to bea fearsome fight. You were about to ask Nazuna about the rules ofthis event when Wataru’s voice echoed loudly in his own mic.

“As you mighthave guessed it, ladies and gentlemen, the whole purpose of thismounted cavalry battle is to dethrone your opponent… ! Make himfall from his mount and give him a taste of humiliation ! Only thatway will you prove your worth as a man…✰”

You weren’t reallysure how to feel about this whole catastrophe of an event, until youturned your head to the third and last fight. Tsukasa was fumblinghelplessly, while Makoto was obviously struggling to carry him andRitsu looked like he was about to pass out. When poor Tsukasa’s eyeslocked with yours, he shamefully averted his gaze, cheeks as red ashis hair. Meanwhile, Yuta was trying his best to hold his miniskirtin place. He looked decidedly pinker than usual, but for his defense,there was quite a lot of wind on that day. His “mount”,Hokuto and Koga, were rushing to their opponents. Koga was shoutinginsults to the other team : maybe they went for an intimidationstrategy… Inbetween fits of laughter, Hinata managed to shout :“Make your big bro proud, Yuta-kun~ ! Fight for your honor as aman !” Yuta apparently heard him, as he shot him a nasty glare.He wasn’t the only one : under the tent opposite yours, Rei waswaving a huge sign that read “DO YOUR BEST RITSU-CHAN” andloudly cheering on his brother. Said brother looked so pale that youwondered if he was even going to make it…

Soon enough, this farce of an event stopped, naming Adonis, Arashi and Mitsuru’steam as the winners. They’d managed to hold until the end and makeall of their opponents fall, after all. Or so you thought : you’d been laughingand joking about it with Hinata the whole time. Kanata and Tsumugiwere busy handing sports drinks to the exhausted students, whileWataru had begun throwing confetti at the crowd again. Wait, thosewere flower petals, not confetti…

“What anAMAZING event ! I hope your eyes are still burning with those vividlybeautiful images we just saw !” Wait, did he laugh ? Youthought you heard him trying to muffle his laughter while speaking…Wataru kept going anyway, pointing at a huge and empty stage. Thevery stage you helped build, and your back was still remembering itbitterly.

“To soothedown your fatigued muscles, let us revel in the beautiful song ourvery own cheerleaders will offer us… ✰” Wait. Morecheerleaders ?

Wataru was actuallyright : the 3A students, whom everyone had forgotten about, were nowstanding on the stage, waving and smiling at the crowd. And they were wearing cheerleader uniforms too ! Thankfully they didn’t wear skirts,but shorts instead. Keito was still flushing hotly. Maybe it was justthe sun getting to him, though.The show was good but you distinctlymade out two groups among the lovely cheerleaders : the “Let’sget the party started” group, composed of Kaoru, Chiaki andMadara, who were ready to shine bright as idols no matter whatclothes they were wearing… and the “Please let me hide in acorner” group, in which you’d put Keito, Shu and Izumi as theyinsisted to hide behind everyone else during the entire duration ofthe show. Special mention goes to Eichi, who winked at the crowd arecord number of times even though he looked like he was about to dieany moment. All of the students cheered a lot, and your hands hurt fromclapping, but all that cheering was probably just to make fun ofthem. Judging by how some guys were doubling over laughing, they werehaving a lot of fun with that situation.

As soon as thatstrange live show was over, you found yourself helping everyoneclean up the school. You were putting away the chairs the audience had used whenyou felt a hand suddenly clasp your shoulder. Surprised, you turnedover, nearly letting the chair you held fall on your feet : behindyou stood Wataru, looking as fresh and amused as ever. “So, dearproducer ? How did you like today’s performance ?” You couldn’thelp but smile, but still went to put the chair away as you shouldbefore answering.

“So you werethe one behind all that crazy stuff, right ?” He smiled proudly,even bowing a little before you when he saw you knew.

“That’s right,and do you want to know the best part about it ? I did it all foryour sake. You deserve to rest a little from time to time, andlaughing is nothing more than resting your heart, after all…”

You stopped in yourtracks, feeling your cheeks grow a little redder. For you… ? Beforeyou even had time to answer, he gently stroked your shoulder, addingin a whisper “Now I really should go, dear producer, lest theunamused bad guys find me… ✰” And sure enough, he went outwith a loud bang and a flash of smoke that left you coughing for amoment. When Keito hurried to you, Wataru was already long gone. As thevice-president was chastising you for refusing to tell him whereexactly he was, you couldn’t help but smile.

After all, theperpetrator was gone, but the memories made on that crazy day werenot.

Okay so getting back into this the first thing I will do is tell you who I think would be your friends in the kingdom hearts universe (Minus unchained x, but that because of other reasons, I won’t go into. (All my hard work…. T.T)) Anway friendships whooo! Okay so ~I see you being friends with a couple of the kingdom hearts cast -minus most of the organisation, but more of the ye’ old keyblade wielders. Those people would include Sore, Kairi, Aqua, and also Namine, and let’s go on to say why now shall we!

Okay so when I first read what you wrote, Sora was one of the first people to come into my head, and a part of me thought that maybe he would be good match for your in the relationship part, but in the end someone else came much more into my mind, and you will see who it is once you reach that point, but anyway reasons why I think he would be a good friend. First thing why is because every time I do this I can not see Sora not being a friend to most people and the same goes for you. It doesn’t matter if you are a shy person to start out with because Sora would also be the first to have an interaction and want to be friends. Once he gets to know you he will be enjoy how you like and joke about with each other, and also admire how you always put your needs before his own and that you are always a good listener, and even if you brush compliments of you we will always tell you how great you are, and he would be interested in the drawing you create, if you allow him to see them, if you don’t he probably would whine something like why not. He also wouldn’t mind playing video games with you, though in my headcanon I see Sora to be quite scared of horror games in itself.

Kairi

Next friendship match is none of then Kari, who like Sora would probably be the one to introduce herself, but would probably bond with you more with playing games, I can see her really liking horror games as well, and also enjoy joking around and hanging with you. Though you may be fully aware of people trying to take advantage of you kindness, Kairi will be able to tell, and she would speak up about that in defence of making sure they can’t actually use you. She would admire how you want to help everyone and put their needs before you own as well. I think out of them all, while I see Sora as you close male friend, I do see Kairi as your best female friend.

Aqua

And the next person I chose was Aqua. (Bumble bee plays in my head, even though that is not an Aqua song -puts cartoon heroes on to play on spotify-) The eldest of the friendship group I chose for you. Aqua, the motherly friend, which is what I like to call her because i see that she would always be there for you, when your feeling down, for example feeling judge, which she would try her darn hardest to make you not feel that. Also like Kairi while you may be aware, she would also be there to try and protect you, even if you don’t ask, from people who try to take advantage of your kind heart. While she may not be into gaming, (Well Video games, I have a headcanon that she actually really like board games (Which causes my creative side to try and make a real kind of version of the command board, which I spend to much time on)) She will be there encouraging you when it comes to your art and dream of becoming an illustrator or animator, and would most likely be the friend that shares your music taste.

Namine (Dodo do do)

The last one I have chose for you is yes indeed Namine! Woo! I personally really like Namine, but anyway… I chose Namine for you, and I always seem to call her drawing buddy, because ?I can always see her bonding the most, with the interest for art, and she definitely will be there to spend time keeping you company when you are drawing, also I felt that you would get along due to your the shyness you both have as it is always good to know someone who has the same issue, even though a bit different as everyone is different, it is actually quite comforting, which is always a good feeling to have with a friend. I see the blonde girl being also quite admiring of you due to how much of a good listener you are, and the kindness you show through you heart by helping people who need it before yourself, and I feel like you can give her, herself a confidence boost just by being you friend, and she would also find it enjoyable joking with you, but like Sora I can see her being terrified of scary games.

Ventus

Yes I chose Ventus for you as your main relationship match and here is why, like Sora and the others I can see him admiring your kind heart, and how you want to help others before yourself, and like how much of a good listener you are, as it is nice to have someone listening to him. I can see you bonding over the magic of video games, which I believe like Kairi would be the closest to enjoying the games you play. I see Ventus actually really liking horror games because of the thrill of them as how it might end up with you guys both playing multiplayer horror games, or taking turn swapping when either of you dies in the game. Sometimes I can see him getting a little be cocky at staying alive in games as times, because I see him being really good at games. He doesn’t really care that you that shy as a part of him sees it as cute, and it also doesn’t stop you from being able to have a fun and joke around with him. Like you I see Ventus to also have a sense of words of affection and quality time, though I think he goes more towards the quality time, which would definitely be the one you would be receiving the most. He like Aqua and Kairi would also be aware of certain people who could take and take advantage of your kindness, and he will be there to stop even if you didn’t need him to, it is also the same of if you plan to help someone before yourself, Ventus would end up being the one to help you before himself. He would also be there given you compliments, which at time may make him feel sad that you may end up brushing them off because he cares about you and wants you to know, but at the same time that is one of the reasons he tries to find different ways to show you. He also admires that you already know what you want to do in the future as well being interesting in seeing what you are drawing and doodling.

Someone tell Henry to stop turning into Sora. Also Wendy is making me think of Namine. So who does that make Pan? Wait, Marluxia!

I keep wanting to cry happy tears and hug chibi Sora into little bits and this has Maya and Kai all upset- well, Maya's squeaking at Sora's cuteness and kinda spazzing over 'Can you imagine if Kai HAD been Riku's son' and we're not getting into that mess and Kai's just mostly upset because he misses his family damn it, even if he has friends where he is and a kid brother.

And hi, rambling because FEELS.

AUUUGH.

I've gone weird again.

Ahahaha, and the bad ideas keep coming. I wrote out a thing for the mods seeking permission for Heartless-related stuff. Haven't sent it yet 'cause I might be sane come morning. That and Kai's borderline freaking out. Something about not wanting his mother's past to be his future. Maybe I really just want an excuse to have a weird AU KH/WR crossover where Ray kicks his ass for training Shadows as minions.

Meanwhile Eli and Fen just sit on the sidelines and snicker.

I wanna go home and laugh at the trouble Kai's gotten into. Or not. I giggled earlier and was exhausted for 20 mins. But still, Kai just found out he's fucking with a 3,000 yr old spirit born of darkness. Somehow this is not phasing him as much as it should. He's either very much his mother's son (with all the issues that entails) or Riku and Sora rubbed off on him. Or he really IS Riku's, but Maya can dream. It's better than the truth, anyway.

Random 1 am thought: Eli as a kid, boasting to all his friends that he was kidnapped by an evil faerie before he was a year old and turned into a kitten.

So I got this started during a low-pain point in my migraine, and Eli can't stop snickering. Despite the migraine Kai's post got me thinking. 'The last time...' in reference to wishing his dad was there. 'The last time he'd built a snow fort like this, it'd been in Christmas Town. His uncle had taken him and his dad to see Santa, when Kai was on the edge of not believing anymore. He was, after all, seven. His mom had stayed home, insisting she'd not only get a stocking full of coal, but would probably find herself buried under it.'

When someone introduces themselves as serving under a king, it's appropriate to use 'Keyblade wielder' after your own name, yes? Yes. Inwardly Kai's just like '.....fuuuuuck.' This was not how he wanted to become known to Henry. 'Yeah, I kinda adopted your adopted son as my kid brother, I swear I'm not a bad influence on him and I'm so sorry I attacked your knight unprovoked. Please don't have me executed.'

Newsflash: Kai doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.

OMG it's so cold in this house why do I not know Firaga. Or where my gloves are. Or my scarf. Or hat. Assuming there's any money left next month I'm buying socks. I have...five pairs of socks? That random idea I had a few days ago involves what Awiergan's supposed to be doing, you know, hunting down Mal's nobody and knifing her. She's certainly had prime opportunities to do it, what with her current masquerade. Amy and Jalen's wedding anniversary is the 5th this month, and I wanted Amy to be back to herself by then, however temporary. THEN I thought, hey, what if Awiergan went out, found the nobody, brutally killed her, and let Amy watch? The shock of that would be enough to let Amy push the Brat back under, and she could come home covered in blood freaking out. To who, I dunno yet. But hey, happy anniversary!

Um, what was the original plan for the Cornerstone of Darkness? And I vote we destroy Disney Castle. As in the whole world. Dunno what exactly that'd mean for the Cornerstone of Light, but hey. The one place everyone trusts to always be a refuge against the Darkness going bye-bye? Always a good time! *whacks Awiergan*

Eli insists on a new tradition = New Year's Day Bug Hunts. Every New Year starting from age 8, he's gonna spend the day looking for the weirdest, most colorful bugs he can find. He demands that Larkin accompany him and carry his jars. >>; I do not see that ending well for him. "I only asked her to carry seven jars! An' then she dropped 'em! Down a hill! WITH MY BUGS IN 'EM. ...The last time I had a *really* awesome and entertaining idea, it was a plague that wiped out two-thirds of Hogwarts.

This kid is gonna be in so much trouble. Eli: "....Aunt Song, Larkin won't stop followin' me! She says she's gotta protect me from Heartless!" Amy: *snickers forever* "Good luck with that. This is why we don't pretend that Igor is real sweetie~"

I decided Lanie gets to learn magic from Ray too, because she'll need to help keep her brother in line. God forbid her best spell turns out to be Thunder.

Yay babies. Oh god, a three year old and a newborn why did I do this to Amy oh wait. *cackle*

I had this cute little dream where Auryn wakes up crying (He's like a week old) and Eli gets to him first, and is trying to calm him down so he doesn't wake Larkin 'cause she needs her rest, and god forbid his mom, 'cause he'll never get to hold his son again. *snicker* He finally gets the kid to pass out by putting Igor in the crib by Auryn's feet, then makes the comment, "Yeah, he was my favorite too."

Hahaha so adorable and sappy and damn it, men should not be attractive when wounded. (And this is where Jalen's eyebrows go into his hair because what conversations has he been missing)

And then there was that time that healing magic was backfiring and Jalen was stupid and fell off the bailey wall and broke his wrist, and instead of his wife going 'Oh, my Jale!' and cuddling him silly, she whacked him upside the head, gave him a lecture, and teased him for a week. *snort* But then, they have an weird relationship that'll be sure to amuse their children for years to come. Hell, it's amusing FEN.

Ahahaha. I love how Kai is all '.....How do I explain this?' Because apparently he was taught the honor thing but not exactly the why of it? Or he's just a dork. Let's go with that. Eli says that girls can take care of themselves, but you should at least make the attempt unless you want to get beat up. Speaking from eventual experience, no doubt. Also I love how that last sentence makes no and yet all the sense.

I've always sympathized with the villains. Maleficent was the first. I was four. *shifty eyes* I was a weird kid.

The game I've got Kai in is getting an expansion. The school's going to be revealed to be on an island. I'm happy. Kai on the other hand, not so much. Reminders of not-home and places he'd been with 'Jem, which are probably gonna lead to him hitting things with his Keyblade. Especially once he finds his Corridors STILL can't get him away from the damn place.

Suppose Kai could always just try and use his Keyblade to chop 'em up...and this is for a bonfire, actually, though I did think him trying to make a raft in an attempt to leave the island would be all sorts of funny and history sorta/not really repeating itself, but I gotta get mod permission for that first and I'll just shut up now.

Yay, they have access to the beach now. And someone else decided to try a raft, which I'm actually glad about. >_> Kai will instead make an idiot of himself trying to catch fish. And the 'here fishy fishy' is a ridiculous inside joke from the old game that I couldn't resist using even though no one will get it. Riku had a net and was out tromping through the shallow water on Destiny Islands, trying to catch dinner for himself, Sora, and Kairi. He finally managed, but he burned dinner afterward. *snerk*

Oops. Kai wants to know what the fuck I just got him into. *cackles madly* Hell if I know. I've got Eli on the sidelines lecturing him on Darkness. And Fen pointing out he should consider himself lucky he's never met Ray. *facepalm*

Yeah, so if the wyvern doesn't kill Kai, he's gonna take Eli's advice and call him Yen Sid. ...My muses should not be allowed to interact sometimes. Also now I've got Jalen snickering because hmm, who did he know that had problems with a wyvern? *facepalms forever*

Re: 'Driel - And why doesn't this kid have fear? She's a nine year old on her own in a strange place, and they had a 3-4 day blackout already, but she's just...peachy. Lonely for her family, sure, but she's met a 700 year old faerie that shifts into a wolf, a boy that's possessed by a 3,000 yr old malevolent spirit, a king from the 15th century, and now friggin' Death, and she's just hunky dory. This IS a good thing, yes?

IT'S LARKIN AND ELI LMAO Today, I was hanging out with a guy I like. We climbed a tree to watch the sunset, and as the sun went down, I kissed him. He fell out of the tree. FML
