i'm sorry but i just don't think intermittent fasting is a good diet, like i'm glad it works for some people and i am willing to acknowledge that there are studies showing certain positive impacts of it like i'm not gonna deny any of that, but at the end of the day, i think it's more likely to cause more harm than good for the average person
#i don't think fasting is necessarily bad#like as someone who's grown up with religious fasting i think on a spiritual level it can be positive#and better mental health will help to have better physical health#i also think fasting can be kind of neutral bc anyone who has a busy day might inadvertently end up fasting#and depending on a bunch of other lifestyle factors that could be good bad or neutral#but intermittent fasting specifically as a diet being broadly recommended to people with health problems? no!!#basically i saw a video and my gut reaction is to be like shut up about IF#but then i was like. okay let me take a step back and listen to what they are saying#i am willing to acknowledge that it can be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle#personal
