ik nobody will pay attention cuz its not art but i havent had motivation to design stuff for promethea lately and i want to talk about my island anyway so im gonna do that idc

rassvet is the island south of promethea, the island where cinder was imprisoned and where the sun cult lived. its geologically under the ouranos’ shadow but because its the site of the prison its subject to constant unnatural sunlight. before cinder’s imprisonment it was part of the continent that promethea is on, and it and promethea were one area. nowadays its mostly desert and only the north and south coasts are settled, with a highway between them. rassvet and promethea are very friendly and both countries have sizable populations from the other. a few hundred years ago, they were both occupied by an invading empire that has since collapsed. rassvet revolted and gained independence from the empire and sent allies to promethea to help them do the same, and ever since theyve been close and helped each other during any time of need. rassvet is much more easily accessible than promethea and so has more traffic from outside countries, whereas promethea is fairly isolated from the rest of the world
