This is exactly what happens to Medea after DAI. The closure of the Breach, the use of the orb, Solas- someone who probably helped with the mark -leaving. All of this culminating into the Mark literally pulling at her mentally and physically.

And she can barely rely on anyone except Vivienne and Dorian as they are mages. But Vivienne is busy as the Divine and Dorian is slowly getting busier with Tevintar now that the Venatori have fled.

Medea does tell them of her situation, but she just does not tell them the full extent, and she just suffers through it. Cullen doesn't even know as she hides it well by going off on missions constantly, mostly to search for Solas cause he's the only one who really knows what's going on with the Mark.

It's only at a certain point that Vivenne and Dorian realized how destroyed she is, losing weight, barely sleeping, even breaking up with Cullen cause she just cannot let him see her in this state that they both realized how destroyed she is. They try so damn hard to revert the damage, search everywhere for a solution, to mitigate the effects of the Mark but either they just don't have the information or Medea refuses their help. To see the woman who would easily be at their side to just refuse to let them be at hers?

They are mad, furious even, but what can they do or say when they don't even have a solution?

i need everyone to consider vivienne and dorian bonding over taking care of the inquisitor after the end of dragon age inquisition as the mark progressively gets worse and worse. vivienne with her past of watching bastien get sicker and sicker and dorian doing the same with felix, and seeing it repeat with the inquisitor. take my hand 🖐,,
