also i don't think i already posted about it but turns out i'm probably allergic to onions :(

the smell of onions cooking or eating stuff with onions in it triggered my migraines for years but last week i got take out, ate the onions because i was like "these don't smell strong, it shouldn't be that bad" and uh. it was! migraine got triggered almost instantly, my face swelled up and i got a rash on my face, and i had to keep taking the max dose of my allergy meds this whole week just to slow the pain and ease it up

also i just got exposed again because i used the same knife my mom used for onion soup to cut a slit in my pomegranate and i got the rash and swelling in my hands :( luckily i had forgotten about it in the fridge for a while so none of the seeds the knife touched were actually good enough to eat so my face is fine ig? i'll find out tomorrow

#i am sadly looking on at all ur onions and garlic posts #NO THE WORST PART IS THAT'S HOW MY AUNT'S GARLIC AND POTATO ALLERGIES STARTED APPARENTLY #she was allergic to onions first and the others came from it #the takeout was chinese food from the mall :( they have the best but i guess i can't get their fried rice or veggies anymore #i can still get their like. plain lo mein which is still good! but i want the veggies and rive from that place #i had a similar reaction a couple years ago to potato sticks w ''seasoning'' on the ingredient list #and i could tell onions were in it but i was like ''maybe i have a mystery allergy!''#from what i can tell if it's far enougg down on the ingredient list it may or may not affect me?#which is how my nephew's dairy allergy is #he also gets swelling w it but it's not as severe as long as any dairy stuff is at the end of the ingredient list #and as long as the list has at least like. 10 or 12 ingredients #he's had to go to the ER about it before #also about the pomegranate dw about 70% of it was good the rest had turned mushy brown already #also at least now i had the rash and swelling my mom's actually caring about it enough to warn me when she's cooking onions!#so that i can like. hide upstairs in my room while she airs out the kitchen #before she didn't think it was a big deal because it was ''just'' migraines #yeah just migraines that made me go blind and throw up from a smell smh
