Daphne is Hellborn and not a Sinner AU

hahaha this is very prescient, because this is actually my next fic!! Five fun facts about Queen of Hearts, Ace of Sorrow: 1. In this AU, Daphne is half-Goetia and half-sinner demon. Her mother was a hummingbird demon, a great-granddaughter of Paimon. As such, Daphne has functional wings in this one! But is still half praying mantis. 2. Between his broken staff and angelic wound, Alastor has lived several powerless, miserable, traumatic years of captivity at the hands of Vox. His dignity, his health, and his sanity have been all but stripped from him. He flinches away from any touch, and is filthy and starved. 3. Daphne was raised to be practical and hard-hearted by her mother, who married for love that was fleeting and led to a lifetime of resentment. She doesn't want her daughter to make the same mistake as she did, which is why she is forcing Daphne to marry an Overlord for political gain. There will be no illusions about the purpose of the match, and Daphne will never have her heart broken.

4. Alastor is practically feral when Daphne chooses him on a technicality instead of Vox. She has to try to domesticate him and gain at least a little trust before she can drag him out in a public wedding ceremony--it's not a good look to have your ghoul of a fiance start eating the wedding guests, even in Hell. 5. Daphne continues to be non-musical in a very musical world. Her tutors tried to teach her piano and flute and harp, but she never could grasp it--perhaps it was her uncreative mind, hampered by her mother's insistence on keeping her detached and unemotional. Decades later, she still cannot carry a tune even if she's just humming.This is baffling and upsetting to Alastor, once he finds out.
