I need to start publicly documenting progress on like actually semi-productive projects I have ongoing that way I have like, some mild form of external accountability to actual continuously work on them and finish them and not take several month long depression breaks from things and like actually finish them. I have like 20 (mostly dumb af) projects that have been ongoing for like, upwards of several years and at this rate I am going to finish NONE of them, EVER and that would be bad and a waste of time. Making those like 4 overly long posts on the PSP stuff I was working on unironically significantly helped me actually continue doing those things because I was like "well if I stop now and don't make another update later, someone is gonna yell at me!" (even tho only like 3 people ever see these and even than those 3 people only see like maybe a quarter of these and also they yell at me either way, so it doesn't actually matter, but it feels like it matters, and that's what's important). And I'm technically still not fully done with the PSP stuff because I need to turn the like 5 scattered essays I wrote on bits of the process alongside other miscellaneous notes into an actual full comprehensible write up, but like it's mostly done, at the very least the UMDs are dumped and archived and that was like the whole initial goal, so like it worked, being held accountable for my lack of actions by the imaginary people in my computer did help.
