No, anon I'm not comparing ships, I'm comparing shippers and although sns is my otp I'm not stupid and I know that many times there is a biased focusing on Naruto and turning to Sasuke character like the one that has to apologize or redeem himself because it caused Naruto pain, etc. Although there are sasunaru shippers that are more focused on Sasuke, it doesn't mean that a large majority does not misinterpret or develop the ship with a clear bias in favor of Naruto as a uwu baby that Sasuke must pamper. I'm also not going to be hypocritical about the shippers who make fun of sasusaku and how they want to canonize light novels but then you find their blogs with phrases like ""In Naruto's world, I am blessed to exist". So I'm going to mark those behaviors because they exist on the part of shippers with whom I share an otp. Does it mean we can't have favorites within a ship? No, in the end everyone does what they want but when you only care about a single part of the ship, then you don't care about the ship, you care about one character and the other is an accessory and it's so emptied of its canonical personality that it could very well be any other.

naruto and sasuke aren't a blue and red pairing. they're orange and purple. they're opposites, but they still have something tying them together. yellow and red, red and blue, literally a red string. they each have a little bit of the other in them, a shared pain and understanding.

of course naruto is orange! he's bright and sunny and "never give up!" and "believe it!" and yellow. he also has the pain from his childhood and the nine tails, and those are red, melting into his sunshine yellow disposition and tinting it orange.

and sasuke is purple, obviously. he was blue as a kid, young and innocent and happy, but that was stained with the red blood of the uchiha massacre. a stain that could never be removed, forever a murky purple.

they aren't red and blue, not because they don't fit the bill, but because they exceed it. you could surely assign naruto blue and sasuke red, but they're bursting at the seems of those confining boxes. they're in their own category, their own solar system. naruto is the sun and sasuke is the rest of space. this is "i am in naruto's world. i am blessed to exist" and orange and purple.

I sometimes think about alot of things of course randomly, sometimes I ramble about them in a video format (which I will make another rain rambles video at some point) but rn is just my intrigue with seeing…idk things of mine starting to get considered…old? Or seeing the styles of certain things come back, like frutiger aero/web gloss 2.0 and all its other brothers and sisters of styles coming back into the limelight of that era cus we’ve grown up and wanna either re-get in touch with how it was and style our own things after it, or the younger of the current generation z and gen alpha taking a look at it and loving the style. Hearing songs getting bundled in “all your hits of the early 2000’s” and audibly saying “noooo not yet!” While my mom laughs and says “your turn” in a lighthearted manner. Watching things near my homes over the years shift and change, things getting added, places i wished existed when i was younger so Id have more interest to even think about staying in my home state thats been memed about to death but is so goddamn boring when you are actually here, im watching anime bars get added from tiktok, a goth themed food place called biteme i believe dealing in mainly sweets, A FUCKING NARUTO RESTURANT THAT YOU CAN CURRENTLY GET TO GO ORDERS FROM AND THEY PLAN TO EVENTUALLY OPEN THE INSIDE IF IT DOES WELL, I just…

I’m watching the world around me change while i can smell the winds of old blowing of my past at the same time, I picked team present for the splatoon 3 grand festival for another secret reason.

Because the past is hard to remember for me, due to probably a mix of trauma and being in a bad car accident when i was little, I can only emulate the limited good feelings, not to mention me being undiagnosed (still to this day, i only have vibes and peer review) so that combo just…fucks with my mind.

Then there is the future, while my current future looks bright, so many times Ive watched a future that I thought would happen and planned out in my head just crumble apart or feel so damn hard to achieve, I fall and fall into my mind at each time, and eventually I just became just…so focused on the now, so much so it feels like a haze, only recently thanks to my boyfriend of current do I feel comfy even dare looking towards the future.

…hearing splatoon 1’s sounds was both a blessing…and a bit of a curse, good to hear the fun of old songs that made me happy when times were rough…but remembering the rough times themselves almost in a fixed camera view…like silent hill or games that take inspiration from that, being the director to my own fuzzy memory, meanwhile I get nightmares again randomly, even though my brain originally stopped making them, I might’ve talked about it, but in a final nightmare for a bit…my brain zoomed in on a radio, and it said “and thats the end of our dream programming” or something along those lines….but after that, until ive been with my boyfriend a bit, I didnt have nightmares just…blank mind since middle school.

Its weird.

I feel “old” in a sense that only the internet and regular general media can make you, because “okay we kinda acknowledge ourselves as adults now, here is nostalgic vibes playlist to post to youtube and stuff” and also “2000’s hits” just… agh

Heya, Ray. Tis I, back here again to ramble your ear off!

So in terms of timeline, I'm still somewhat obsessed with Figuring It Out™ but I've been trying to go easier on that front. But here's the stuff I found whilst on my merry adventures!

Nagato is in Amegakure. Nagato, an Uzumaki descendant, is in Amegakure. Oh while it is possible that a clan's members could very well live outside their village I decided to take it to mean that Uzushio was already down by then. Nagato's age when his parents died, and his age when he met the Sannin, are not stated so it's “???”.

The wiki states his age was 36 in Shippuden, if I remember correctly. That means he was 33 in Naruto part 1. And with a bit of fiddling I found that Minato and Kushina would've been 36-37 in Naruto part 1 had they lived. So there's a 3-4 year age gap between them.

Honestly I thought the gap would be bigger than this.

But nonetheless I can try and maybe extrapolate that Nagato, Yahiko and Konan could've been 3-4 when... they met the Sannin...

I have not watched that scene in years but they do not look 3/4 in that scene in my memory. Wtf?

I came to that conclusion because Minato was apparently 10 when Jiraiya came back and started training him. And Jiraiya was in Amegakure for three years. Minato would've been 7 at the beginning of that three-year period and thus the Ame trio would've been 6-7 by that point which is... isn't it way too young? Jiraiya wtf? Kishimoto??? Explain???

Anyways moving on, I deduced that there was a 13(/14) year age gap between the Sannin and MinaKushi. So Jiraiya would've been like, 23 when he came back.

I made Dan like, two years older than them. I found no evidence that he was indeed three years older than Tsunade but hmm... not like there's a huge difference between two and three anyways so I don't know why I bothered with that—

This gives us two whole years before he dies and Tsunade leaves. Yay. Maybe cousin shenanigans afoot?

I have yet to decide Nawaki's age. All we know is that he died at age 12 and that he died before Dan did, which isn't a lot to go on...

(though he may already be dead by the time Tsunade met Dan because well... iirc her hairstyles are different and the fact that she has the necklace back but I may just be being dumb and stating the obvious)

For a very long time I'd been trying to pin down Kushina's age when she came to Konoha but now I just went: “screw it, she's eight”.

Which means the Sannin and Hoshiori would be 21.

I just went completely random and assigned Sakumo's age as being four years older than the Sannin. I do not know why, just roll with it.

And since there's like, a ten-year age gap between MinaKushi and Kakashi, Kakashi would only be born in the year Jiraiya comes back. Tsunade's still around.

Uzushio's fall might've been the final straw on the camel's back that made everything escalate into war, but I wouldn't really know since I need to know more about the Second Shinobi World War.

But still! This half-assed ““timeline”” of mine gives Hoshiori to prance around wrecking shit in the frontlines. That's fun.

Also apparently samurai exist in the Naruto world. I'm trying not to give into my impulses and have tiny Hoshi interact with Land of Iron. Fuck.

(why is there only one samurai nation and why hasn't it been invaded already— what are their techniques like? I wanna know more)

Hopefully now that I've got the “who's where in this particular time frame” thing down hopefully my damn brain will finally let me write.

In one of the novels about Sasuke and Sakura there is written this: I am in Naruto’s world. I am blessed to exist. His was like the warmth I once got from my family. It made me feel that I truly existed . The connections with my family, love. So we have the story about Sasuke and Sakura but he calls Naruto his family not her and Naruto gave him love not Sakura. Can’t this SS see it?? If they think that this novels are canon ( they are not) then they cannot deny that Naruto showed Sasuke what is love and gave it to him. It was never Sakura.

Well... We really don't need to look out for Novels, you see.

Sasuke was directly saying here that, "Starting from now I'll start to know what you feel, your hopes and your pain, Naruto.... Just like how I knew about the sufferings, Desires and feelings of my Father, My Mother and My Brother Itachi..."

He plainly told that just like he understood the pain & dreams of his family members, he was going to understand Naruto's pain and dreams too.

But I think they know about this and it's just that they are in deep denial and refuse to accept the fact....

Or else why are they feeling insecure even after they became Canon!!!??

(I would die for this fic. I know the summary sounds doom and gloom but IT'S NOT. This fic made me fucking cry, I don't think I've ever read a fic that characterized Naruto so right. He's so full of hope and love and develops into the best version of himself and I'm so HERE FOR IT. And it's not just Naruto, Shikamaru is absolutely amazing here along with Kakashi and surprise surprise Ino, I can't BELIEVE it took me this long to stumble across this fic. Also THE WORLDBUILDING IS TO DIE FOR!!! And the plot! Is! So! Interesting! Just, everything about this fic is just amazing so please PLEASE read this!!!)

The author's sense of humor is so on point here along with the atmospheric writing that's so vivid in the mind. Their writing style is so recognizable to me now and makes me fall into the world they're creating, it's stunning. Sasuke here makes me want to hug him and the idea of him living like a feral ghibli character has me LIVING. Check the tags of the fic, all of it is true, hand to god. Please give all of the author's fics a shot, it's a rabbit hole I'm thankful I fell into!)

(It's so hard to find self-insert fics with a fresh concept these days, especially in the naruto fandom. Not that I don't enjoy and devour a lot of self insert fics like it's going out of style, but it's just so nice to find something new and shiny and really damn good. I'm so pumped for this fic and how it's going to develop so please join me in rooting for this fic!)

Kakashi can think of no reason for Sasuke's inexplicable and drastic change in behavior. He doesn't like the desperate, haunted gleam in his student's eyes, and he also doesn't like the nagging feeling that he's missing something very important. Aka: Future Sasuke goes to Past Sasuke and gives him a reality check with Specific Intentions, but as with most Uchiha, his methods leave much to be desired. (Featuring: Childhood trauma FTW, Konoha's shitty care of orphans, and absolutely no one having a fun time.)

(Sasuke wanting to change the future out of complete and utter spite has me LIVING. Sasuke is such a Mess here and the twist on the time travel premise is so good and the kid is so Traumatized and Desperate and Not Having A Good Time. Naruto and Sakura developing as better ninjas and Kakashi trying his best makes me want to scream. Also, how Sasuke thinks about Itachi makes me want to cackle. I am 100% down for this. I am rooting for this kid, go get them! XD)

(This is the greatest hp fic I've ever read. I LOVE RON WEASLEY and by the time you read this fic SO WILL YOU!! This is the fic I WISH I have the ability to write. I read this entire fic aloud to my brother and we spent literal hours howling and talking about how utterly insane and incredible this fic is, it's amazing. This is hands down my favorite Ron Weasley. You Can Pry This Fic From My Cold Dead Fingers.)

Takenaka Hideo is a thirty-two year old, in mild desperation for money, who has just been hired as a new janitor for UA's support staff. He has a quirk that lets him find lost objects, a liaison with the police because of it, and desperate desire for competent co-workers.

Oh, and he's already lived a previous life, in a world where quirks and heroes didn't even exist.

Not a big deal, though. It's not like you ever see the janitor playing a big part in action movies. He's here to get paid, and that's it.

On the opposite side of the equation, class 1-A has to wonder at the new UA cryptid that always seems to show up when things are on fire, and who keeps trying to convince them to let the adults handle the fire extinguisher.

(A great deal of fun packed into one fic. That is how I title this fic and nothing will change my mind! Hideo just wants to quietly do his job and not get in the way. I Relate. Please read!)

And the OC character and all the hijinks they get up to cracks me up! At the same time, it's pretty heartwarming and it's practically a friendships galore fic! Definitely recommend it!)

That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.

Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.

Until, of course, he eventually does.

(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.”

There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”

In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)

(If there was any other way canon could've gone, this is the story I would've wanted. It's perfect.)

(This fic is so soft and Steve is just collecting people and winning them over with his magical food (literally). I am always a sucker for heartwarming, good for the soul fics so if you want to make yourself hungry and feel all warm and gooey inside, read this!)

Is this hell then? Or perhaps purgatory? It certainly isn’t heaven, that’s for sure. None of this makes any sense…but then what's new—nothing in Billy’s life makes sense anymore.

Billy laughs then, loud and long and unhinged. It's the only sound in the whole house, and it bounces off the walls like a fucked up echo, like the world is laughing with him.

“Jesus christ you’re insane…” It’s Max’s voice and it’s shaking. It only makes Billy laugh harder, because Max has it all wrong. Billy isn’t crazy, it’s the rest of the world that’s insane.

Billy dies a hero of sorts. He wakes up back in his bed on Saturday morning, the third of November, 1984...nearly nine months earlier.

(Billy is stuck in a time loop and it's slowly driving him crazy. And the fic shows just how much influence Billy did have in the plot and how doomed the world is without him in it. Great character exploration with Billy's character and all the ways he's so messy and human. Definitely recommend it!)

A Natsu-centric story featuring: Shiratorizawa VBC shenanigans, too many soccer OCs, mild teenage drama, a little bit of plot, and Semi Eita not knowing what a period is.

(It's just!! So cute and wholesome!!! The Shiratorizawa volleyball team is so fleshed out along with the OC characters for the girl's soccer team and I swear, it's been a long while since I've laughed this much at the sheer shenanigans that happen in a fic. It's surprisingly hard to find good gen fics in this fandom so finding this gem made me so happy! If you want a fic that brings a smile to your face, read this!!)

Or: Oikawa doesn't know why Kageyama keeps asking to meet him on Saturdays. He also doesn't know why he keeps saying yes.

(The fact this fic is canon-compliant and covers post-canon too makes me want to shout to the heavens. Fucking incredible! One of the best Oikakage fics ever and it's a crime how it's not at the top of the ship tag. Please please read!!)

(The reincarnation fic I never thought I needed and it's so good!! I've never really paid attention to Tokoyami and this fic sent me headfirst into loving him. Their dynamic is so interesting and I just love how their relationship develops. Also, Kakashi trolling the poor kid made me cackle, it's great! Definitely recommend it!)

Bakugou trying his best to be a good friend is one of the best things about this fic. Trust me, this fic will make your day, promise!)

(I binged this in two fucking days, I couldn't put it down. This fic reminded me why I liked fairy tail when I was younger and why Natsu is honestly such a great protagonist, god. And the fic does that thing, you know, the Thing where when two worlds collide, the characters struggle to acclimate and adapt to a completely another world with different rules and mindsets against their own. This fic is seriously one of the best when it comes to that aspect, it's incredible. I am going absolutely feral over here for this fic to update, I'm waiting in the wings, ready to pounce like a tiger, all the metaphors man. For the love of god, read this fic.)

(Before this fic, I only had a very vague idea of what Natsume's Book of Friends was, and honestly, I still don't know much about it. But I didn't really need to know to get into this fic. I love the worldbuilding and the relationships Kakashi forms, both supernatural and mortal. I love how Kakashi's inhumane ways affect others around him, whether to stress them out or become used to the strange. You can go straight into this fic without knowing anything and absolutely still have a fantastic time. I definitely recommend this so please read!)

If you guys are going to argue Sasuke shows feelings to Naruto and not Sakura, then you can’t really use “i am blessed to exist in naruto’s world” “naruto lit a flame in my heart,”  because those things are novel only and in SS novels Sasuke also says stuff about Sakura. Sakura kissing Sasuke on a motorbike is on the same level as “blessed to exist in Naruto’s world” since neither was written by Kishimoto.

How are you going to tell SS “they are just novels” and then go and use novels yourself to argue your point? Pick one side and stick to it.
