Feeling a hell lit of pain every day while doing mundane things and having people (including a doctor) say it's nothing and it's all in your head is one of the worst things ever, bc you start to question it, you start to think you're just going crazy. But I fucking KNOW I'm not, bc my bones are literally cracking louder than they should and not moving as they should so CLEARLY SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. If someone else tells me I'm faking it bc I'm lazy I will literally flip the fuck out

I'm currently translating a brazilian song into english and the lyrics are so engraved in my brain that it feels wrong to know the rest of the world doesnt know this love story by heart. It's not even the deepest of songs but it has such a cultural effect here like... literally EVERYONE knows this song by eart and its older than me so it literally feels surreal to imagine growing up not knowing how Eduardo and Monica fell in love lol

The fsct that i tested covid positive on the last week of the semester (so i have tk do a shitload of schokkwork while sick) and also missed Sanremo bc i had to go to te hospital i am- CAN A IITALIAN MAJOR HAVE HER PEACE? seriously tho, this week is a whole mess, i fell down the stairs, got covid, had a pop quiz for my worst subject, my paper got an ealier due date than before, like damn i just want to breathe and watch some italians do their thing is that too much to ask?

I saw your post about self reblogging and I disagree with you. If you like a post why not reblogging it? I mean Taylor post over and over in her story the link to buy or to listen to ME which is pretty much the same. Also it's like saying that each fan can buy only tickets to one show so you will have the same chance as other people to see Taylor. If people can go and see the same show they can also reblog their own posts as much as they want

There's a lot to unpack here so I am going to do my best to go point by point to further explain my reasoning with you.

If you like a post, yes reblog it. However, I have never felt the need to post a few posts 250 times in a day because I like them. That's when you are posting for a reason, that reason being for Taylor to see it and like it. Because, no offense, no one wants to see your same 10 posts posted 25 times a day every single day. I read every post once through and then once I see it again I scroll past. I assume Taylor does the same thing because why would she want to read your same post over and over and over? Also she doesnt like everything she sees. You could probably post it 10 times a day for a week and she would be like "ugh this post again?" The problem is that everyone else self reblogs so she probably had to get used to it, which is a shame. Why would you want to log on to tumblr when it's the same stale content all day everyday? Her fans really seem to care more about being noticed by her for the connection of it than actually discussing Taylor's work, which literally every other fandom does. Taylor seeing what we talk about is a nice perk no other fandom has, but for you to abuse it is extremely selfish and hurtful to Taylor and the rest of the fandom.

Furthermore, you are comparing self reblogging for attention from Taylor to Taylor promoting her song. That is literally her career. She has to sell her music. That's how she makes money. Also, she doesnt spam it. She posts something 5 times a day or so and they are all different. Self reblogging until you reach post limit is definitely spam. They are in no way the same thing. She is promoting her work. You are promoting yourself.

I could go very very deep into the rich priviledge of the fandom but I wont go too far. I will say that Taylor has been my favorite singer since debut era and that I was never able to afford tickets to a show. I bought tickets for rep tour two months before my show and they were for the very worst seats. It was amazing and I'm glad I was able to find the money to pay for it. People who can afford to get good seats or go to multiple shows are so fortunate. People who can buy merch are so fortunate. I would never buy myself merch. Because I have never been able to afford these things, it really really bothers me when I see people going to more than 3 shows. That's insane to me. I guess if they can afford it and they love Taylor, it's worth it. But it bothers me because my life will never be that easy. I have had to love Taylor from afar my entire life. The fact that people have been able to see Taylor should be a blessing in itself. They can do that if they want and it is not equivalent to self reblogging, because it doesnt affect anyone else. However, the way you presented it in your ask parallels self reblogging which we will know is done for Taylor's attention. Thus, I am reading it as an opportunity to interact with Taylor by meeting her. This once again is treating Taylor as a prize to be won, which I am pretty sure is half the reason people in this fandom go to multiple shows. That's why everyone makes tour posts. I never made a tour post. I dont self reblog. I believe that self promotion to get someones attention, especially at the expense of others, is wrong. You may disagree with me, but realize that self reblogging comes from a selfish place, and other people will be upset by it.
