sometimes i can't believe rebirth was a real album and then i'll listen to the latest lil yachty and remember that there is an argument for it being rlly influential and ahead of its time and that's wild to me. cos i love wayne but it sucks.

#was it overhated? yes #is it a good album? absolutely not #side note the new lil yachty album fucks tho #i am always rooting for yachty i'm glad he's doing good with his music #it is kind of fascinating tho. i mean someone has to do it badly before other people can do it well ig #hot take i do think wayne has the capacity to make a rlly good rebirth 2 #like if he gets better production first off. getting hip hop producers to do a rock album probably wasn't the best idea?#i don't know what his guitar skills are like atm but uhh. ideally they would be better than 2010 #but in terms of his singing? some of his recent stuff has been amazing ik he's got that #dreams and aint got time immediately come to mind but perfect strangers too i love even tho its slightly less recent #also just like. u could release the exact same album as rebirth anytime after like 2017 #and it would get better reception than it did at the time #genuinely was ahead of its time #doesnt make it good tho #rebirth 2 redemption needed people are eating that kinda thing up and have been for a while #(this definitely doesnt have anything to do with me being a rock fan and therefore wanting to see rock music from wayne totally not)#lil wayne #tune time #marchibald's
