A continuation of my psych 911 au (yes, yes I am still writing it a year later. I may be slow, but I have not abandoned this au HAHAHHA)

“I'm getting a vision… You,” Shawn says, pointing at the fire captain. He'd noticed his rosary beads dangling in his office earlier. Easy target. “The spirits are telling me that you work too hard. You carry too much on your shoulders. You need to relax.” Shawn heaves dramatically, forcing his body to suddenly relax as if releasing a great deal of stress, and he falls over into Gus to add onto the effect. The fire captain simply raises an eyebrow, crossing his arms. “Do you have any visions pertaining to the case? Ones that are of actual use?” Is everyone in LA a skeptic? Shawn fights the urge to pout, not wanting to look thrown off in front of them all. He straightens, taking the time to make sure it looks like it takes him effort, and he nods. “Yeah, yeah I do. Just give me a moment. The spirits don't just bend to my every whim, as much as I'd like that. It takes finessing. It takes… a certain je ne quinoa.” “It's je ne sais quoi, Shawn.” Gus interrupts, elbowing him. “Whatever,” Shawn hisses back, before clearing his throat. “As I was saying, it's not as simple as just asking and receiving a straightforward answer. The spirits are touchy.” “Are the spirits in the room with us, right now?” One of the other firefighters drawls, looking wholly unimpressed and sheesh, tough crowd. Shawn's really going to have to up his game. Shawn turns to the firefighter with a pointed look. “They are indeed. The spirits are with us always. In fact—” Shawn looks him up and down. Think, think, think—His mind suddenly flashes to a conversation he overheard between him and the firefighter with a birthmark. Perfect. “They believe that your cooking skills could use some work. Maybe add a little more cinnamon to your chicken next time. They said Christopher would be much happier about that.” Instantly the simpering grin on his face drops and he launches forward. “Hey, how do you know—” “Eddie, calm down.” The Captain says, giving him a hard stare. The captain then looks back to Shawn. “As I was saying, Mr. Spencer. The case?”

My Thoughts:

First, I did not expect Gareth to be like this. The first chapter??? His internal thoughts?? He is so fucking funny by the way. I didn’t expect him to have ASPD or have narcissistic tendencies OR be sadistic (and a secret masochist).

BUT I LOVE HIM.

Be warned though. If you go into reading this and think Gareth is like Bran (personality wise, especially), please remove that thought. They are two different characters.

Then the way Kayden entered at the end of the chapter??? Gun to Gaz’s head?? chef’s kiss

The 2nd chapter was just 🥵🥵 That’s all I gotta say!!

Second, I did not expect Kayden to be at the Initiation because it was laughable to imagine him as a participant but well, Kayden was immaculate ways. The feminization kink?? 🤭🤭 I love knowing I was right about it and that Gaz is pillow princess AND loves praise.

Their push-and-pull was soo good and actually got over faster than in GOF.

AND!! KAYDEN HAS TWO MOMS!! Rachel and Jina 🥹 I love you two so much!! I am so glad RK included an older sapphic couple. This is progress people!!

Gareth gave me second hand embarrassment with his denial though. Gaz, you love having dick in your ass. You are anything but straight.

KaydenGaz’s domestic moments and Moka were EVERYTHING. Gaz’s obsession with strawberries needs to be studied though.

Also, Morgan needed that reality check from Gareth. Like WHY would you use Zara like that while pushing yourself at Gaz 😒 (Morgan reminds me of a girl in my department who does this same shit with another girl who clearly has a crush on her).

The ‘wife’ reveal in chapter 19 had me like 😶 I was like, “Kayden, you better not be cheating on her!!” I suspected the wife was either dead or they separated. I was hoping on the latter, alas, she IS dead 😔 Her last moments were really gruesome and she deserved better. Like that Senator could not take ‘no’ for an answer (yeah, Cassandra responded to his flirting but a no is a no, you dumb piece of shit) but what was difficult to swallow about Cassandra’s end was how it mirrored the real world. It got real. Because this does happen to women every other minute.

I’m soo glad Kayden killed them all!!

Harper is the same. She was a victim of CSA by her own father. She was taken advantage of by her father, her family (yeah, that part hit a little too close to home because I went through the same thing during her age by a family member), someone who was supposed to protect her. Gareth was really the last safe place she had. Her father is absolutely disgusting and vile, like she is gone. Let her rest in peace, fucker. But nooo, he was doing that on her childhood bed.

Both of their endings were too real. I was sobbing while reading it.

Third, when they put Gareth in a straitjacket and beat him up but he felt nothing of that. He felt so betrayed by Kayden’s lies. The way he was bashing his head watching the videos 😭😭 I WAS SOBBING THROUGH IT. HIS THOUGHTS WERE SO PAINFUL 😣😭

Gaz’s protective and possessive streak though 🙂‍↕️ He was ready to kill a boy for tripping Kill AS A KID!! Kill is his and no one gets to hurt him. What was hilarious is the fact that while Killian was looking at the insides of mice, Gaz was actually getting things done 😂 Almost killing that boy, fooling EVERYBODY including Kill, first murder at 15. Even Kill was impressed.

Someone on Twitter said, “Gareth Carson is who Killian Carson thinks he is.” THAT’S FACTS. Go argue with a wall if you disagree. I love them both but GARETH WAS IT!!! HE WAS BRAT, A PRINCESS AND THE MOMENT!! 💚

I also get Gaz’s need for approval. Like, pretty boy, I get you.

Kayden Lockwood (or Davenport). THE MAN YOU ARE. He took a bullet for him. No hesitation. Nothing.

I love him, Your Honour 🛐🛐

The way he counted every freckle on his face and body 🥹 The way he loves to kiss Gareth’s dimples 🥹 OH HOW HE LOVES HIM!!

Lastly, I loved the book. I loved KaydenGaz. They are EVERYTHING. They are sick, toxic, and unhealthily attached to each other but they made me love them. They can NEVER make me hate this couple or this book.

I adore Mr. and Mr. Davenport 🫶💚

Side Note:

Don’t go reading this into thinking this is going to be NikoBran 2.0. KaydenGaz was very toxic, violent and unhinged. There is dub-con and CNC in this, including kinks like BDSM, feminization, impact play (hand & belt), rough sex and bondage.

There is self-harm as well—involving Gareth. He uses a knife on himself many times AND bashes his head on a wall.

I’m having a bit of a rough time with my work. I was supposed to start working an 8 hour shift at an office. But somehow it all got so mangled (not by my doing) that now I work 2 part time jobs, and another 2 occasional jobs (babysitting & english tutoring).

(Don’t get me wrong, i am impossibly grateful to be able to have these jobs, otherwise I’m not quite sure how I’d afford… well living lol)

But this week, it got a bit overwhelming and took a lil toll on my brain. (My period most definitely didn’t help. But whatever)

(And I twisted my ankle to top it off, coz why not :)).

So I’m not sure when I will finish it. Or when I will have a chance to sit down and write properly🪿

Hopefully soon coz I’m buzzing with ideas 😂 and believe me, no one wants to finish the Holiday Pretense as much as I do.

(I have 4 wips that are just eating me alive 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️)

Feeling despised currently and im not too sure why like mates went out without me I had an interview thats fine I just felt like I was missing out and then I had a terrible day yes I ranted and vented and talked about myself because I just wanted to be heard I think that might have been irrational one thing that has always not upset me but has irritated me when people relate to your experiences with their own and I knoe tyat everyone is different and it can how people communicate I understand that but sometimes I want a ph im sorry you're having to go through that I had a similair experience not jjst oh yea same this is happening its something im just going to have to let go of because its probably not going to change It just caused me to get overwhelmed a tad and then when we met up I just felt out of the loop like they were going to get the same piercing and I was half considering because of fomo I will be there for it but probs not get it but I just felt so not included and I feel like ive done something and they just havent told me because thats usually what happens we just let it go. Idk it just feels shitty like That might just be me feeling overly sensitive because thats what I usually do and part of that might be the recent entanglement ive been in like I dont think that this is just a fling and id be ok even if it is this is the realest thing ive had and he likes me back in one way or annother is that love or am I a service and hes just a loyal customer at this point id take it I havent thought of Owen in a long while (relatively and comparitively to before) I finally feel like im on the other side of that ugly chapter of my life im now in turmoil educationally and familially instead but thats a different story honestly Ive been considering the dark thoughts lately and part of me almlst feels like im already dead like none of this is real and im in a weird and twisted limbo or hell like showing up to the wrong shop for an interview already late and then getting bird shit on me I was almost in tears the only thing that makes me feel real and human again is him I finally understand kissing I think I like it with him I honestly have never felt this way before I dont want to go down the same old path of obsession and burn out but I dont get anxiety it just feels right I worry that im close to messing it up constantly I hope I can exist well enough for it to not screw up. Also dropped out of uni basically well they chose to get rid because I failed 🙂‍↕️
