(Y/N) let out a quiet sigh as they watched the sun set on the water's horizon. Their robes waving in the wind, she didn't know why they still bothered to watch the sun set. Perhaps because they couldn't bring themselves to let go of the past. They used to watch the sun set with her siblings at every special occasion such as birthdays and holidays. Yet they now stood alone watching the sun go to rest as the moon's light and shadows began to incase the lands of the old faith for the night. (Y/N) looked at their paws that had been heavily scarred from trying to protect themself from Narinder's rage.
Despite his betrayal they still loved and missed him, he taught her how to lead her cult and be the bishop they are today. They were hurt, sad, angry at themself for not fighting harder to keep Narinder from his exile. Yet at the same time they were extremely angry at Narinder for his actions and leaving them behind with her siblings that slowly fell apart. They closed their eyes as they remembered back on the times when their family fell apart.
(Y/N) watched at Heket yelled at Kallamar for his cowardness they no longer had the energy to try to break the fight up as Heket probably would start an argument with them and bring up Narinder to get at her. However they got tired of listening to them bicker, "Will you two shut up? You fight more often then children." They snapped towards the two, "Cant go a single meeting without hearing you argue with someone Heket."
The frog glared at the cat bishop, "Oh? You finally deciding to speak up? I don't care about what you think, I am your older sister you shouldn't yell at me."
"I don't care if you are older then me, I am tired of you yelling at me for speaking against you. I try so hard to keep this family apart to keep the order in these lands and instead I get yelled at and have everything I do nit-picked by you guys."
Kallamar spoke as Leshy arrived to the temple, "Okay- Okay. Guys please stop arguing we need to not cause stress for Shamura from you guys fighting." After Kallamar was done speaking try to get his siblings to stop fighting Shamura had arrived.
"I apologize for my late arrival, I had gotten caught up with my followers needing something," The spider bishop said calmly.
(Y/N) opened their eyes and sighed sadly, arguments with their siblings didnt affect them that much but since that day Heket had started to compare them to Narinder. They didn't blame Heket's anger as they believe all their siblings still were hurt by Narinder's betrayal. However those words, "You're just as worthless as Narinder!" hurt. Felt like a stab wound right into the heart.
They let a tear fall down their fur, "Dammit, Why- Why did you betray us Narinder. I fear I'm going to be exiled because of your actions now. I keep being compared to you like they're expecting me to betray them as well." They snarled into the wind as if they expected a response from their brother. "I hope I never see you again,," Their voice breaking as they fell to their knees letting out quiet sobs.
"I hate you so much, I hate you for everything you've done to this family. You should of just killed me." They cried out as tears fell onto the grass. They took their crown off their head and held in their paws. Her vision blurry from tears but she could still make out the glow from the marking in the crown. "I'm not fit to be a leader, you knew that didn't you."
They wiped their tears with the sleeve of her robes letting out a shaky sigh as they put their crown back on. They stoop up and looked out at the land she swore to protect. She looked at the sky her mind wandering as she heard faint whispers repeating the words over and over, "You're just as worthless as Narinder!" She began to wonder if she was just like him, a monster that will soon break and hurt those she loved. She shook her head as she watched the son finally disappear, she hadn't slept much at all as she swore to protect the old faith at night after Narinder's betrayal. She walked off into the shadows as she began to walk through the lands to make sure everything was safe.
As her thoughts slowly ate her up as she walked through the realms of her siblings make sure the creatures and citizens slept peacefully and safely. After she had walked through each realm she went back to her realm. Her paws making quiet taps against the stone as she walked up the path to her chambers. They looked around and walked over to where she rested and sat down as she closed her eyes. As her hurt and anger ate her up and filled her heart with anger.
Those she loved all betrayed her and refused to trust her. She opened her eyes and saw her reflection in a shard of glass she had broke one night yet in anger that they had not bothered to pick up. Only then she realized how much she looked like Narinder, perhaps why they refused to trust her. She let out pained sobs after a moment of crying she looked at her paws once again, perhaps her family would be much happier if she was gone. She let out a sigh and decided to lay down and closed her eyes as she let sleep surround her in darkness to escape her pain

[ID: Digital lineart comic.
Panel 1: With crossed arms, the Lamb regards the Goat with a disbelieving gaze. "So... You're really a goat."
"Yes. I am definitely a goat," the Goat says, staring at their hands. Under their breath, they murmur, "Why am I so short though."
In the back of their mind, Narinder laughs, "Hehehe, I am so smart."
Panel 2: The Lamb tightens their shoulders, pulling their crossed arms closer inwards. Their eyes narrow in further disbelief. Even their crown is unbelieving. "Okay," they say. Make a goat sound then."
Panel 3: At the back of the Goat's mind, Narinder sweats in panic, while the Goat stares blankly ahead.
Panel 4: "I was going to," the Goat finally says, "but now I do not wish to."
Panel 5: Lowering their arms to their sides, the Lamb closes their eyes and gives a salient nod. "Yeah, that's goat behaviour. I believe it."
Both Narinder and the Goat give a relieved sigh, thinking, Oh thank me, to themselves. /end ID]

Note
I saw that you write for Cult of the Lamb- you are doin Narinder's work bro/pos
anyways- would you mind doin a Narinder x reader?
Like, (as cliche as this is gonna be) Reader was one of Narinder's followers before his exile, and was adamant that he not be sealed away, and was killed for it(Maybe Narinder even watched them die)? How would he react to seeing them again after he's freed(like a reincarnation)? Obv reader doesn't remember, but is like, "you seem cool, wanna be friends?"
I'm a sucker for cliche immortal x mortal stuff nil. hope this made sense! Have a wonderful day/night!
"Fools!! All of you!! How dare you betray your own brethren?!!"
"This is for the best, Narinder. For the preservation of the Old Faith!" Leshy vowed, staring at the catlike bishop, who tried in vain to tear the chains free from the earth.
"My word is good! You lot are merely blind and despise those who challenge your teachings.." He gnashed his teeth.
"No. You only lead them astray with your hypocrisies and lies." Heket snapped at him. "But don't worry..your followers will be guided by our word alone. Be grateful we didn't choose to slaughter them en mass."
"Now only one remains! And with their abandonment of your teachings, your cult will vanish. You will no longer exist to us." Kallamar declared as his followers dragged out someone all-too-familiar to Narinder.
He could only look on in shock, seeing you thrown into the center of the room, forced to kneel on a pentagram.
You were his first and last ever follower. He thought he hid you well, told you to flee the lands of the Old Faith. But you must have been found somehow.
His failure to protect his last disciple crushed him more than his imminent exile.
You trembled as you looked up at the bishops, before seeing your master--shackled as you are right now. “M-My lord, I’m-”
"He's not your lord anymore!" Leshy huffed, looming over you with bristled leaves. "He has misguided you, child. And for that you must place your faith elsewhere..in one of us.”
“It’s time to choose.” Shamura whispered. “Abandon your faith in this heretic and he shall receive the just punishment--banishment to the depths below.”
"..why?"
"Pardon?" They blinked, seeing you uncover your hood to reveal your face.
You were terrified to your very core, yet adamant about their decision as you looked them in the eye. "Why seal him away? Why not compromise? Or..are you all just afraid of him and what he represents?”
“Are you..suggesting that we are cowards?!!” Heket sneered, though you ignored her, knowing you were essentially signing your death certificate as you spoke out.
But you couldn’t surrender your loyalty to Narinder. It would last until the very end.
“You can’t expect to control Death by locking him away. It is inevitable..all of your followers will eventually meet him. You may have convinced my brothers and sisters that he doesn’t exist anymore, but I will always believe in him. I will not yield to any teachings but my one true lord’s.”
Kallamar's eyes widened, outraged. "He has infested your mind like a parasite..a vile sickness that makes you speak such blasphemy!! We cannot tolerate that!”
“That’s right, brother.” Heket sneered, a smug grin on her face. “Don’t think you will get to embrace your lord in death..because we will ensure that you feel nothing but suffering.”
"He will not be there to comfort you. Say your last prayers, child.” Shamura rasped.
Narinder realized what was going to happen as the bishops summoned their executioner, and struggled against his chains. "NO!! RELEASE THEM!!!"
"It's okay, my lord. I am not afraid."
"..hm..?" Staring down at you, he saw your smile and teary eyes. Despite everything, you weren't going to abandon your faith in him. You might’ve been scared deep down but you didn’t want him to see that.
"I swear to carry your gospel with me in both this life..and the next-”
Your words were cut short as the axe suddenly swung down on your neck.
And just like that..his power and strength died with you. Your blood was drawn and the Bishops chanted an incantation that would finally banish him to the depths below.
His haunting screams were heard across every land.
.............
“You weak, sniveling, foul thing! You--wait...! WAAAIIIIT!!” After Narinder was dropped through the portal, Lamb sighed in relief, closing it up. Then they went to help their followers, who praised them for defeating the fearsome god.
Deep down, they wonder if they did the right thing by sparing his life after betraying them.
But they knew that killing him would only give him exactly what he wanted--to become him. They believed becoming a follower was a more fitting punishment. To show him how much their servants toiled for many days and nights, working and worshipping in his name.
Narinder was less-than-pleased upon being unceremoniously thrown into the cult, a crowd immediately forming around him. He hissed at their attempts to help him up, swatting at the kind hands and paws they offered.
How dare they look at him that way?
With such pity?
Then the damned Lamb came down the steps--the followers he kidnapped in tow--and used the Red Crown to clothe him in a ragged red shirt. And they ordered him to go worship at the shrine.
How humiliating.
His immediate thought was to dissent, as he had observed a few of the followers do. But he saw the nearby stocks and recalled the shackles that held him down below for ages...and thought better.
With a huff, he went to the statue in the center of the cult and kneeled in front of it. He could stare up at it with envy; the stone structure was clad in gold with holy fire in its empty eyes.
That should’ve been him-
"It’s beautiful, is it not?”
Jumping at the new voice, he looked to see you kneel down beside him, hands clasped together in prayer. He would have replied with snarkiness...had you not looked so familiar to him.
‘Wait...don’t I know them?’ He blinked, staring at you closely.
And he realized that..it was you.
The very same faithful follower he saw executed ages ago. Now you were here, in the living flesh.
“[Y/n]..?”
You were surprised he knew your name, but then you remembered who this guy was. “Oh-! Yeah that’s me. Lucky guess.”
His was even further confused. Were you being sarcastic or did you not recognize him?
“[Y/n]..it’s me. I understand this new vessel is difficult to take in, but you remember me, don’t you?”
“I..don’t remember ever seeing you face-to-face. You’re The One Who Waits, correct?” Your eyebrows furrowed, wondering if he had his memories mixed up.
Narinder was growing infuriated. How did you not know his real name? Did you not recall your servitude to him?
“No. You never called me that..”
“Oh, um..I’m sorry..?”
“You were my disciple. The first whom I bestowed my teachings upon. You always called me Narinder. When the bishops found you after I was condemned I..I watched you perish.” He growled, turning to you fully before suddenly grabbing your collar. “Why do you look at me as a stranger? Did you forget who your master was?!! It was never that damned Lamb!!” His third eye snapped open, forcing you to stare at it with fear coursing through your veins.
“I-It wasn’t?” You stammered.
“NO! YOU MADE A VOW TO ME!! You swore to carry my gospel from one life to the next!! Did you only say that to make me feel better in my moment of-?!!”
Narinder was abruptly yanked away by a shadowy hand grabbing him by the foot, dangling him upside down. He came face-to-face with an annoyed Lamb, and the Red Crown glaring at him. Immediately he was paralyzed by fear as his third eye closed, knowing this was how they dragged the cultists to prison.
He had forgotten that he wasn’t the one in control anymore.
“Unhand me, wretched Lamb!”
Yet the leader only shook their head, huffing as they pointed to you. He knew what they meant and just scowled at them. “Apologize to them? But they..they’re....”
However, he trailed off, seeing you merely pick yourself up and smooth out the wrinkles on your robes. Although a little shaken by his hostilities, a polite smile remained on your face.
He realized that you simply weren’t them. You may look and act like them..but you didn’t hold the same memories.
Perhaps you were reincarnated by a different god? That would explain why he’s never seen you, even in death.
Regardless, there was no point in getting angry at you anymore. So he sighed and gazed back at Lamb, who set him down before attending to other matters. Then he looked at you, rubbing his paws together awkwardly.
“..my apologies..I thought you were a loyal disciple I once knew. And I’m still coming to grips with this new life Lamb has given me. It’s a lot to take in...in such a short amount of time.”
“Don’t worry,” you reassured him. “I’m flattered that I look like somebody you knew. I..would’ve been honored to serve you and carry your gospel with me.”
“Indeed.” He nodded somberly. “You would have been most loyal.”
You didn’t like seeing him look so down, so you stepped closer and offered your hand. “How about I show you around? Though..you might’ve seen all this stuff through the Red Crown-”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll see what your labors have wrought up-close.” He huffed with a light smile, taking your hand. “Perhaps it will grant me a new perspective.”
“Alrighty! Let’s go.” Eager, you pulled him away to a different section of the cult grounds. All the while Narinder followed along, relieved to be--in a way--reunited with you again.
Sure, you weren’t the same worshipper who was put to the blade. They were long gone.
But you carried their spirit, and that was enough for him.

Calacus Weekly Hit & Miss – Jordan Henderson & Narinder Batra
Every Monday we look at the best and worst communicators in the sports world from the previous week.
HIT – JORDAN HENDERSON
Communicating with fans is fundamental for any sports club or player, particularly during these lockdown times where engagement is even more challenging
But the increase in online social media abuse has also become even more prevalent in recent months, with Thierry Henry declaring recently that he is deleting his accounts completely until platforms do more to combat the trolls.
Manchester United quartet Anthony Martial, Axel Tuanzebe, Marcus Rashford and Fred and Chelsea’s Reece James have also been targeted by racist social media abuse this season.
There have been reports that the Premier League and Football League might consider a collective social media blackout while Swansea City announced a week-long social media boycott last week on all platforms in response to abuse and discrimination.
The blackout includes all players, staff and the club's official accounts and comes after Jamal Lowe, Ben Cabango and Yan Dhanda have suffered racial abused in the past two months.
A Swans statement read: “As a football club, we have seen several of our players subjected to abhorrent abuse in the past seven weeks alone, and we feel it is right to take a stand against behaviour that is a blight on our sport, and society at large.
“We also want to stand with players from other clubs who have had to endure vile discrimination on social media platforms. As a club we are also acutely aware of how social media can impact on the mental health of players and staff, and we hope our strong stance will highlight the wider effects of abuse.”
Championship rivals Birmingham City soon followed Swansea’s lead and said: “The Club stands in solidarity with Swansea City Football Club…with this fight going beyond sporting rivalries and one that must be tackled in unison.
“Regardless of who such abhorrent abuse on social media is directed towards, Blues do not believe this should determine who speaks out against it and that making this stance together is paramount to ridding the game and society of this evil. This goes far beyond pulling together as Blues, but as football and society."
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has taken things a step further, giving control of his social media channels over to an anti-cyberbullying charity due to continuing online racist abuse.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita were subjected to racist abuse on social media following the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
That prompted Henderson to work with the Cybersmile Foundation, which aims to provide support for victims of cyberbullying and promote a positive use of the internet.
Taking to Twitter, Henderson said: “Online abuse has got to stop. Recently I’ve been thinking about what I can do, as an individual, to try and make a difference. I've seen friends, team-mates, other players within football and in wider society be on the receiving end of horrendous online abuse which is now out of control.
“The platforms should be doing more but as a society we need to be kinder to each other – that’s where it starts and stops. I have seriously considered deleting my social media accounts in the last few weeks but instead I want to use my platforms to try and drive positive change – people shouldn't have to boycott platforms or deactivate accounts just to avoid abuse.
“So I'm handing all my social media accounts over to @CybersmileHQ who I have partnered with to raise awareness of the impact that cyberbullying and online abuse can have on people. They'll be sharing stories of people affected as well as resources for education, reporting and how to get help if you or someone you know is struggling. Things have got to change. Jordan.
He added: “I partnered with Cybersmile for the People Not Profiles campaign because the problem of online abuse is continuing to destroy lives every day. It has been great working with Cybersmile to address such an important issue and it is my hope that this campaign raises awareness of how seriously online abuse can affect people and also lets people know there is help and support available to them.”
Henderson should be applauded for taking a proactive approach to addressing the issue of online abuse, especially with social media platforms seemingly impotent at policing the trolling that occurs on their channels.
Rather than simply complain or boycott them, Henderson is using his huge profile to highlight the importance of good behaviour online and the devastating impact has on those who are abused.
A Cybersmile statement added: “The campaign will run for a number of weeks and will be featured on The Cybersmile Foundation and Jordan Henderson’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter - all driving content to raise awareness of the severity of the issue while providing support and education options to millions of people online.”
Dan Raisbeck, co-founder of the Cybersmile Foundation, added: “Everybody at Cybersmile is honoured to be working alongside Jordan on this important campaign, designed to serve as a reminder that behind social media profiles there are real people with real feelings.
“By effectively utilizing Jordan's powerful platform, we will be reaching millions of people with behaviour-changing insights into the effects that cyberbullying and online abuse has on people's lives, as well as offering potentially life-saving access to crucial advice and support services.”
Let’s hope Henderson’s support for the campaign highlights the realities of trolling and prompts some if not all the keyboard warriors to think twice before targeting those that they abuse.
MISS – INDIAN OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT NARINDER BATRA
Lalit Bhanot has been one of the powerful figures in Indian sports throughout the 21st Century, but he has never been far from controversy.
A former secretary general of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Bhanot previously spent 11 months in jail on corruption charges linked to the New Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.
In May 2020, further questions were raised over Bhanot’s involvement in the IOA after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had insisted previously that officials facing charges should not be involved in the administration of the organisation.
Despite Bhanot offering his resignation in October, IOA President Narinder Batra did not accept the resignation, vowing that Bhanot will continue to serve on IOA commissions so long as he continues in his role as President.
“If anybody has a problem thank you very much,” Batra said, according to the New Indian Express. “I don’t care, he is my chairman. As simple as that. For me he is very important.
“If somebody does not like his face, they are welcome to go and bang their head. As long as I am President, he will continue. If I get elected in November, he will remain as chairman.”
Last month, the IOA Ethics Commission ruled that Bhanot will cease to be a member of any committee of the Olympic body with immediate effect as an interim measure pending a final adjudication on charges of impropriety in his appointments.
The Commission also sought details from Bhanot on his positions in the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
The IOA website, however, continues to list Bhanot as member of several committees including Chairman of the Tokyo Olympics Preparations Committee.
Given the ruling from the IOA Ethics Commission, Batra’s comments are entirely misplaced and raise further questions about his ability to run the organisation.
Suggesting that anyone unhappy with Bhanot should go and “bang their head” was clumsy language at best and incites unnecessary thoughts of violence and regardless of his views on the decision of the Ethics Commission, the way he communicated his thoughts fell short of what you’d expect from a President of a National Federation.
Rather than simply disregarding Bhanot’s resignation and calling out any critics, Batra should have explained why he felt Bhanot remained the right person for the job.
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the coming months, particularly in the build up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and whether the decision will be taken out of Batra’s hands.
