I don't have a question about your fic but I do have gratitude. Thank you for being a Beelzebub/Dagon truther!!! I don't know how the rest of the fandom (which can hardly be blamed for homophobia/straight-washing/etc) doesn't see the love eyes in 6th episode.

As I am also a hater, I'm gonna say this: Beelzebub and Gabriel do not make a good narrative mirror to the ineffables; it's one thing to fall in love with a layperson in the enemy state than with a leader of the state that sees you and your kind as less-than based on god's decision and poor luck and has a plan to kill you; it's like a top 1% / bottom 1% romance with the first one trying to ruin the live of the latter, not like a bland red/blue where neither really believe in their beliefs. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, dunno why.

I'm glad you like my Beelzebub/Dagon content. I do believe we're far from the only ones who ship it but it gets easily buried under the popular ships.

I'm absolutely not surprised that Gabe/Beez is popular because people love the "opposites attract" theme (I'm totally "people" btw, most of the time). Not to forget the enemies to lovers.

I'm not sure I see the same power imbalance between Gabriel and Beelzebub you see tbh. Angels and demons seem to be evenly powered and their disdain is mutual. But I have to admit I haven't given this much thought yet because I usually pair Beez with Dagon and Gabriel with nobody. xD

But I agree with you so far as I've never seen Gabriel/Beelzebub as a mirror to Aziraphale/Crowley.
