yall are aware that if a trans man doesnt pass, he isn't treated by other people as a man, right? and that under bioessentialist patriarchy, only able-bodied, white, affluent, assigned male at birth men will ever be viewed as authentic? and that all other men will only ever achieve a status of "failed man" in the eyes of the bioessentialist system at large?
#like im getting fucking sick of this.#where is the compassion for trans men who dont pass?#trans men are NOT treated like men#they simply ARE NOT treated like MEN by western society#pretending that they are is an utter denial of the lived experiences of trans men#just like how trans women are only treated at large by society as women so long as they pass!!!#PASSING is a PROBLEM as it forces trans people to gain validation thru intense identification with gendered performance#i am BEGGING ALL OF YOU to PLEASE read leslie feinberg's transgender warriors
