Every time I order a masago california roll from my favorite sushi place they're always like "you know that one has fish eggs on it right?" and I'm always very polite when I answer but in my head I feel like

#'yes hello i would like to order one Fish Egg sushi please' 'the one with the fish eggs? are you sure? it has fish eggs' 'yes im aware'#this time when i came to pick it up and told the lady at the front desk my order she was even like 'a MASAGO cali...?'#and needed me to like confirm that was really the one i was there for 😭#i am 100% certain that this is bc some dumb white customers have ordered things without knowing what they are in the past #and then gotten mad at the employees for their own inability to read the menu #so like. i dont hold it against them at all. ive worked food service so i know customers suck #and im also very aware that most white people suck. theyre 100% justified in double (sometimes triple) checking this stuff #at the same time tho like. yall i promise im not like that and i know what im ordering. i know what masago is i prommy. please believe me 😭#rambling
