an update.

a redux of my post from last night as well as an apology.

i have taken down any posts and anons mentioning a specific server member by name. this is due to my updated rule 5: as of 16/06/23, anons mentioning species members or staff by name will be posted with names redacted. if an anon is too personally charged it will be subject to deletion. it is only fair that i cannot namedrop as well.

what does this mean and why the change? simply put: this rule has been updated due to multiple people expressing their concerns about it. additionally, a situation unfolded last night in which someone was explicitly targeted and i take full responsibility for it. this rule change is to protect those who read this blog as well as those in the community as a whole as my priority is creating a safe place to leave your frustrations. hopefully upholding the standard of vent blogs will make this a little bit easier for all of us.

i still want people to be able to feel heard. moving forward anons such as "i really hate when {name} posts the same adopt three times in a row in the misc-ads channel" will be uploaded as text posts without the name inclusion. anons that are personally charged--mentioning someone by name and heavily disparaging them simply due to minor quibbles and not serious matters--may be subject to deletion altogether. hopefully we can find this line together and without much stress.

finally. an apology is due to everyone involved last night. to both those hurt and those trying to vent: i am sorry. i do not want anybody to feel less seen but i also cannot let people be potentially hurt for things outside of their control. i should have handled the situation with more discretion and i recognize that it is only because of my poor handling that it was even possible. please remember that everyone talked about is a person behind the screen, as am i, and i thank you for your patience as i sort out how to best make this right.
