Why I think Kara dating William isn’t a bad thing?

So, basically, I’ve seen a lot (and when I say a lot, I do mean a lot) of people complaining about the possibility of Kara and William dating. And while most of the supergirl fandom (we all know who they are) sees it as the most horrible thing that can happen on the show right now, I see it as a great opportunity. Here’s a bunch of reasons why:

We will see Kara being happy.

This is the main reason why I’m excited to see how the thing between Williara unfolds. As a Karamel shipper myself, I’m still very upset that Kara and Mon-El aren’t together and they will always be my number one OTP, but unfortunately, Mon Mon isn’t coming back and William being Kara’s love interest won’t be a bad thing. He can sure make her very happy with his cute accent and funny jokes (writers, pls make Will a little funnier). And the one thing that I want the most from that show is Kara being happy. Sure, I will very much prefer Mon-El being the one making Kara happy, but William is a great guy so why not give him a chance.

 They can make a good reporting duo.

As we all know they are both very good reporters and they both share similar moral systems. They both fight for what's right and are not afraid to jump into danger if that means the truth will be exposed. They can make a great duo. 

Plus, just imagine a scene in which Kara and William work on an article till midnight or later without realizing how late it is and them getting burgers and drinks after that in a nearby diner, watching as some people and cars pass by the window and talking. Or William walking Kara after they finish that article home and her offering him to have a pajama party and this ending up with them cuddling on her couch while watching a horror movie or a romantic comedy.

Or them going on an investigation in one of those bad motels in which people in movies go when they are hiding to investigate some bad guys (I don’t know who, the bad guys are not important right now lol) and going on a late-night walk to watch the starts. Ugh, pure romance.

Ok, ok, I’m stopping with the fanfictions ideas now. I think you got it.

They are both super nerdy.

As Staz says, William is a nerd. So is Kara. They can be nerdy together. I mean, who doesn’t love a cute nerdy (but also super hot) couple. You get everything.

Did I mention they are both hot?

But Ellie, they don’t have chemistry!

Sure they do. But if you don’t want to see it and try so so hard to ignore it, you will. And it’s also pretty much an opinion thing. Some people might see the chemistry, others might not. I personally see it. 

(I mean, just look at the gifs below and tell me you can’t see the chemistry.)

But Ellie, they don’t have that much development either!

Neither did the other couples in Supergirl. Just look at Dancen (I’m not shading on them or anything, I love them). They barely knew each other before they started dating. They even talked about it on the show. But that doesn’t stop them from being cute, supportive and protective of each other.

I know we all love a good friends to lovers storyline, but not always characters wait five seasons to admit their feelings for one another. And it’s not a bad thing. Sometimes people meet and start dating after a short period of time. It’s actually how dating works in the real world, you know. Also, don’t worry about it, Kara and William will have plenty of time to get to know each other. We have two and a half more season to go. :)

And honestly, people, what do you expect? We all know that unlike the Flash in which the main couple (WestAllen) is the focus and Arrow in which the main couple (Olicity) is also the main focus, the main focus on Supergirl has been, is and always will be the Danvers sisters. Any romance will always come second. So you can’t really expect that much development like the other two shows.

But Ellie, LENA!

Yeaaaah, nope! No, no, no, no, no, no, NO! Not even an option lol. Seriously, she has been treating Kara like garbage the whole season. And to be completely honest has been a bad friend long before that... I mean, she is evil you guys. Why would you want Kara to date someone who wants to brainwash the whole world? Not cool. :/

In conclusion, I will say that I lost half an hour writing something that no one will read. Cool, yeah... But in all seriousness, just stop complaining like a five-years-old and be happy that Kara will probably (and hopefully) be happy. Isn’t that what’s most important in the end? And the whole “Boycott Supergirl” won’t even work out so stop. It’s just annoying and you don’t wanna be annoying, right? Just be cool, guys. It’s a dumb tv show you watch on a tiny (or not so tiny, I don’t know your life) screen every Sunday evening, don’t make a big deal out of it. 

Aaaaand I think I used the word “just” way too many times... Opssss. And I might have just pissed a whole fandom... Whopsssy, Diasy! 😬😬😬
