not a request but how many cards do you have and how long have you been a collector?

I just calculated the exact number of cards I have in my full collection and the math comes out to 3,258 cards!

That's the (nearly, because of Paldea) complete Pokedex with every alternate form available + a large collection of Trainer/Energy cards + my Yuka Morii/Asako Ito/misc collection. I have 11 binders at the base of a bookshelf to house all of it (sorted by Pokedex number). (For reference, the complete Pokedex number at the moment is 1025)

I also have a binder of holofoils just for trading + 6 ETBs full of singles.

Technically I've been collecting since the TCG started! I was still a toddler, but my older sibling collected in the American Pokemon Boom of 1998-2001 so I got to have cards too. When he grew out of it I inherited his collection (he regrets it, I think, because he's gotten back into it in recent years. But I made his collection into something grand).

I have been at this for a VERY long time and have been pursuing a complete and comprehensive Pokedex of cards since 2012-ish.
