What if... I sorta went back to my old art style.
#post#like the more cartoony faces and no noses unless in profile#i don't know if i actually will for sure#but i watched one of my own old speedpaints and i'm missing it a bit#i've actually been trying to dial things back a bit for a while though#my style was beginning to get more realistic in facial proportion#but i've been trying as of late to go back to more cartoony#and now seeing the speedpaint i'm wanting to now get rid of non-profile noses again and vary my eye shapes more again#...i will toy around with some stuff. play with some shapes and proportion.#i've actually been using grid paper for doodles instead of my sketchbook#makes me feel less bad about just vomiting whatever doodles and ideas and practice down#and about just abandoning unfilled pages because i don't wanna keep looking at a particular drawing for a while if ever#i'll still use proper sketchbooks often since grid paper isn't perfect#but the grid paper is just for me slapping down practice and things i'm not sure i feel confident in#i also have a light pad to transfer if a grid paper sketch looks really good and i wanna color it on better (aka proper sketchbook) paper#anyway i think i'll stop yapping and go try to practice right now
