A lot of my feelings on scientific accuracy arguing on the internet boils down to "The Blobfish is not going to fuck you"
Like, yes I'm all for scientific accuracy and not spreading misinformation but there's a point at which the relevancy of the subject is less than the outrage over it.
I think most people are very well aware that the "blobfish" isn't a blob when it's alive and under the water. But the original image is still funny so people still tend to draw it that way sometimes. And there there are people who react to this in "defense" of the fish as though they expected it to repay them with sexual favors.
"how do you think that makes it feel?" I think it's a funny fish from the bottom of the ocean that doesn't care at all because it's a fish and not going to reward you for the amount of energy you're pouring into "defending" it. And that specific one is dead so I really don't think it cares. Nor would I care if aliens found my exploded corpse and called me "splat alien". For similar reasons (ie being dead).
Often the same thing goes for dinosaurs with me. As someone who has had dinosaurs be a special interest since childhood, I feel strongly about accuracy of portrayals but I also recognize that fictionalized or humourous depictions are not meant to be accurate any more than Winnie the Pooh is meant to be an accurate depiction of a grizzly bear.
"you can't make a light hearted drawing speculating what a t Rex would look like as a big chicken!" Why not? Is it paying you for this? Has it contacted you personally? Does the animal from 65 million years ago have a libel suit out against this depiction someone made for fun?
It's just. Certain misinformation about animals leads to real life harm. Depictions of sharks as man eaters actively contributes to them being culled, for example. But other things, especially ones that most people referencing them already know aren't accurate and are just referencing for fun, are just not important enough to be as aggressive as people get in "defending" the animal.
The blobfish just isn't going to fuck you.

Diary #014
I'm some ones 'pocket' friend. I don't consider myself that small, definitely not in comparison to others. I'm a slightly below average in height, find myself struggling with weight in both gaining too much and then periods of not eating enough.
I was sketching a building Valentine when I was approached. I was busy sketching out a building when this woman just asks 'Will you be my pocket friend?'. I heard this term before, from this very woman. Once while I stood at the saloon I watched this very person make another 'pocket friend'. Sometime ago now…weeks?
In the end, I suppose I made a friend. We'll see. I travel a lot and I often avoid people on purpose… In fact me sketching that very building was me avoiding contact. Just beyond the way was a crowd of people socializing. I wasn't about to walk into that…I'll just draw.
We ended up talking about wild creatures of the world. Dinosaurs that they lied to us are all extinct. Crocodiles still very much roam the swamp and if they aren't a vicious dinosaurs then the books and people lied! I also heard of a horrifying giant snake in that swamp, hells if I want to travel there anymore on my own.
Have you ever heard of a gieraff? Its this wild abomination from Africa! It has long, LONG legs and a LONG neck so it can eat the tops of TREES! Yikes! This man said it was spotted; we assume like those little lizards, and on its head is horns. They run around the flats where this man came from. Creatures as tall as trees?!
My pocket friend tried to draw a picture of it based on the description I was given, by a man who actually lived among these…things! Now just imagine that massive dinosaurs stomping around outside your ranch at night, eating your trees! Red eyes probably…he didn't detail somethings but we can only imagine. Only Satan could have created such a terrifying monster! I hope to never see one. I thought hearing about giant crocodiles and wolves of legendary size was enough to give me nightmares…long legged monsters just grazing in the forests though? No. Absolutely not. I wouldn't travel anymore!
Maybe I'll write a book about all these weird and crazy creatures I hear stories about. 'Little Book of Monsters'. Starting to think maybe these folk tales I love so much are just real…and there really is a man eating revengeful godly bear in the Tall Trees that is unkillable by our modern tools of war. EEK!

5 Years of Aloy
Continuing my character appreciation series, it's time we turned to Aloy.
Tumblr media
August 2018. Pretty sure these were my first sketches of her.
I started Horizon Zero Dawn in May 2018 – I can always remember, because it was very appropriately Mother's Day. I think it was the first open world game I'd ever played, and I just found the whole universe to be so engrossing – a mix of postapocalyptic sci fi, the Iron Age, and cavemen vs dinosaurs.
Tumblr media
September 2018 (trying to draw a Watcher)
But of course Aloy herself was a big part of the appeal. Can I relate to her? No, I'm not a genius prodigy with no friends. But I can admire Aloy – her smarts, her bravery, her utter fed-up-edness. She's always fun to follow alongside as a protagonist.
Tumblr media
January 2019
Playing HZD fell around the same time I decided I wanted to get back to posting online regularly again. This 1/19 picture was one of the first things I posted. I was so surprised and pleased when Guerilla Games reblogged/favorited it on Tumblr and DeviantArt.
Tumblr media
June 2019 (Aloy and her early concept horse)
So I associate Aloy and HZD with a pretty positive time in my life.
Tumblr media
October 2019 (Aloy on an original unicorn machine, because why shouldn't we have unicorns in the postapocalypse?)
And one thing I especially liked about Forbidden West is that it highlighted Aloy's faults. There were times in Zero Dawn where things came so easily to Aloy and it felt like she was always unilaterally in the right, the one sane person in the universe. Forbidden West showed that she was far from perfect, and I welcomed that.
Tumblr media
November 2019
Aloy is generous, self-sacrificial but still aware of her own worth; powerful, driven, and always planning ahead. But she's emotionally short-sighted, inflexible at times, and I think she could actually be cruel under the right circumstances. As with Elisabet, her altruism is a love that “bruises”.
Tumblr media
December 2019
She's intriguing and inspiring, so it comes as no surprise that I ended up drawing her a fair bit, especially given the fandom still felt so new and vibrant.
Tumblr media
January 2020 (trying to draw a Stalker is harder than trying to draw a Watcher)
Also her hair is glorious.
Tumblr media
January 2020
Drawing Aloy presents a number of consistent challenges for me. First of all, she's based on a real person. That makes it a lot harder for me to fall back on stylistic shortcuts. Even if I'm not a realistic artist, I still want to catch something of the “soul” of the actor and leave her recognizable.
Tumblr media
March 2020
For another, all of Aloy's costumes are intricate. Sometimes I use references, but more often I'll put her in an outfit of my own design, throwing in elements from the different in-game tribes – as I think people would really do, if these cultures really existed. And certainly something that I think “Aloy Despite the Nora” would do.
Tumblr media
February 2021
The designers at GG once congratulated themselves that one of Aloy's virtues is that she doesn't care about stereotypically “feminine” things like make up and clothes and jewelry. Along with that just being a bad take on a number of fronts, I've never believed it. The evidence doesn't bear it out.
Tumblr media
June 2021 (I think this was right around the Forbidden West trailers started showing up)
The games themselves show Aloy wearing excessive jewelry and make up, tons of different outfits, being totally maximalist with her beads and layers and dinosaurish headdresses and now body paint on top of everything else (or under everything else). Is her appearance the most important thing in her life? No. Because she's currently saving the world. But it's clear she cares about her appearance and there's nothing wrong with that.
Tumblr media
December 2021
Moving forward into Burning Shores (which I haven't played yet) and Horizon 3 (which I'm eagerly awaiting news on), I don't know what my specific hopes for Aloy are.
Tumblr media
February 2022 (and then Forbidden West finally came out)
I want to see her remained flawed, but then I also want to see her grow. I'd to see her grow happier, whatever form that takes.
Tumblr media
April 2022
Maybe a stress-free vacation sometime? I'd say the beach, but bad things happen when she goes to the beach.
Tumblr media
May 2023
Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to seeing her again.

Nightmare'd Evans
Even if these designs are nowhere near done (the only two designs of ANY of the Nightmares I have completely sketched are Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare himself) I might as well post what I have as of Halloween!
So I always thought that Evan (or Chris, as he was known as for the longest time) ended up trapped in nightmare purgatory for some reason. Only when GoldenDuo came along did I really change my mind, but I still really like the idea even though he's my favorite character in FNaF. I guess that if I love a character, I make their life hell.
I already had a self-indulgent AU where the Nightmares stopped messing with him after a while (he no longer had a heartbeat, and that's what mostly got their attention). But I never really considered what would have happened in that context if he'd managed to get close to one of them. Really the little sketch I did of Nightmarionne Evan made me think about that and I decided to at least do the rest of the Nightmares (maybe the Jack-O's in November? still pumpkin pie season then) with that idea with some trivia about each one because I overthink this stuff a lot.
Should be very obvious that these aren't meant as canon. They're goofy little sketches that may end up as part of an AU. Who knows honestly.
There's going to be exposed bone/muscle in some of these and a fair bit of body horror at the end, but I'll put those under a cut since it's a minority compared to the rest.
Nightmare Chica'd Evan
Tumblr media
Since I wanted to base Nightmare Chica in general on a velociraptor/vaguely raptor-like dinosaur, I could go absolutely nuts with this design. The main decision for Evan's design based on her was "does he have full hands connected to his arm wings or does he just have a widdle thumb that can't do much or anything?". I ended up settling for the latter because it's just funny to me.
Trivia
Evan can't fly but he sure thought he could at first. He's kinda peeved that he lost access to his fingers but isn't able to fly but he's at least figured out how to pick up a crayon and draw.
Those sharp claws on his feets can do serious damage so don't piss him off or scare him. Luckily he's more apt to bite.
Bouncing off that last point, being like this (like a lot of the other Nightmare'd designs) affects his fight-or-flight response. Here, Evan's more likely to defend himself with a bite before recoiling and asking himself what he just did.
Nightmare Bonnie'd Evan
Tumblr media
I've always been iffy on the basic design for Nightmare Bonnie in general, since unlike the others there's no real inspiration you can draw from. There's Monty Python and the Holy Grail's killer rabbit, but he already has the personality and I wanted to keep the canon color scheme. The problem wasn't Evan's design but just Bonnie's.
Trivia
Evan can jump pretty high/far with the rabbit legs, so he can get around fast. You'd lose track of him easy and that's how he'll manage to spook you.
He will hear you coming. Don't even attempt to sneak up behind him because those radar dishes on his head will pick up on where you are and he'll look.
He has funny little fangies that often stick out of the corners of his mouth since they're too big to hide completely while also being comfortable for him.
Evan's much more likely to kick. With how strong his legs are it could break a bone if it hits the right spot. (He's basically a kangaroo)
Nightmare Freddy'd Evan
Tumblr media
Not much to say here except that this would probably be the 2nd/3rd most easy Nightmare'd version for Evan to access. If he cuddles up with the Freddles enough he's pretty much just another of them.
Trivia
The tiny bear poof tail Evan has does wag when he's happy but you can only see it from behind.
Evan's main response to fear remains to curl up into a ball and cry. The difference is that you now have to deal with the papa bear.
Nightmare Fredbear'd Evan
Tumblr media
The first complete sketch of the group! Another that would be pretty easy for Evan to access (mainly because these two are pretty closely connected with Nightmare Fredbear coming from Evan's fear of Fredbear). I kept Nightmare Fredbear's design close to canon, since I really liked most of the elements of his design and thought they made sense.
Trivia
Evan is really uncomfortable the mouth on his stomach. It doesn't do much, but he probably finds some way to tape it shut so he doesn't have to think about it.
His neck fluff is nice and warm, at least that's a plus.
Evan doesn't really have much of a fear response like this. He may jump a bit, but it's not something big like the other Nightmare'ds.
Nightmare'd Evan
Tumblr media
How would Evan even get to this point, to be honest? Design-wise, I decided that Nightmare as a representation of death from the Bite of '83 was a good basis, but I'm not much of a fan of the semi-transparency with a brain inside. It's a cool detail but it's not my cup of tea. But since I can make my own design, I went for a tooth-centric idea. Unlike Nightmare Fredbear, Nightmare doesn't have an extra mouth: he just has a lot of teeth growing out of him like horns, spikes, or sometimes even armor. The head teeth specifically resemble a crown for the heck of it.
Trivia
Evan's little tooth crown is made up of basically baby teeth! If he were still aging they would probably fall out and grow bigger full-size ones, but that's not happening. Only the canines are actually long enough to show through his fluffy hair.
He has longer claws than the other Nightmare'ds, not counting Foxy's hook-claws.
He has two rows of teeth. It's definitely hard to see but they're there and they're still pretty sharp despite being smaller.
Evan defaults to intimidation in this design. He's a little to small to accomplish that, but he tries and that's what matters.
And now we're onto the one with exposed muscle/bone and body horror. The body horror is lower down, but both have the formerly mentioned anatomical attributes.
Nightmare Foxy'd Evan
Tumblr media
You know how Nightmare Freddy and Nightmare Fredbear are tied/undecided on 2nd/3rd place? First place of easiest to access actually goes to Nightmare Foxy. Headcanon in this case is that so much of Nightmare Foxy's behavior comes from being jumpscared by an actual person that he feels compassion to a degree, so there's your explanation. Only other addition is that Nm. Foxy's eye covering is torn bedsheets.
Trivia
Evan has slightly longer claws on the hand where Nightmare Foxy's hook is than on the other hand.
He has catlike pupils that contract into slits when you shine a light into them suddenly. He hates sudden bright flashes since it screws up his vision for a bit afterwards.
The lack of skin around his mouth and only having the muscles needed to open and close his jaws makes him really bad at showing facial expressions (His remaining eye can still squint/close). Just look at the ears and tail to tell: he's like a dog.
He got the long tongue and has managed to stick it in his nose hole once. He hasn't done that since getting weird looks from everyone around him.
Evan's more likely to run like this. It's in Foxy's general nature to run around, so he probably has high energy (he'd love playing tag if anyone would end up visiting).
Nightmare Mangle'd Evan
Tumblr media
It's body horror time again, folks! I guess getting bold for day 27 of Apoctober and attempting three heads paid off, since it makes drawing two easier. I knew I wanted Nightmare Mangle's design in general to look plain wrong. Mangle got screwed up in Kid's Cove, so why would the nightmare realistic version look any sort of normal? The heads aren't "one fox and one endo" but I thought the funhouse mirror/old circus freakshow idea fit the rather bright white-and-pink color better than anything else here.
Trivia
Evan definitely hates this Nightmare'd version the most. Sure, he doesn't like having a mouth on his stomach when he's Nightmare Fredbear'd, but a mouth that doesn't really do anything is way better than a whole other head that's essentially a younger brother attached to his body (on other terms, he's starting to understand why Michael didn't like being stuck watching him all day every day). And we haven't talked about the awkward way one of his legs splits at the knee (at least I think it's the knee but it's digitigrade legs and I can't quite tell), resulting in two other legs: one under his control, and the other under control of his other head. Plus the third arm pokes him in the face a lot and he can't actually stop it from trying.
His shirt actually rips when he ends up in this form, although if he were to switch to any other form somehow it would mend (ghost logic).
If you thought Nightmare Foxy'd Evan was bad at facial expressions, now he can't even blink so you have to rely on just body language to tell how he's feeling if he doesn't tell you.
If scared, Evan will just freeze and shiver like a chihuahua. He can't run as well, so maybe you won't see him if he doesn't move?
TL;DR please help him he wants some cuddles
If you have any questions about these, please ask. I'd love to talk about them or put them in silly situations (or just draw them in general).

Additional asks answered
favorite piece of clothing to draw:
I like drawing heavy coats, boots, short jackets and gloves. I love thinking up new dresses whenever I draw the middle sister in Crittertongue. Specific character outfits and models can be dull for me so I always make up her dress on the spot in a new strip. There are elements I repeat but it's fun to take a new swing whenever I can. The oldest sister has pieces I like repeating because they're like things I own or just look fun to wear. I like drawing practical, functional clothes. And smetimes that function is looking cute.
what do I listen to:
Having something to listen to really helps me focus. Hi- I have combined-type ADHD so I have a visceral need for input that I can ignore in order to drown out the racing thoughts that keep me from paying attention to or overthinking the task at hand before I get bored.
For penciling or sketching I'll listen to my Spotify likes. I can draw to pretty much anything and my tastes are all the heck over, it just can't be anything I haven't heard before or anything with songs over 4-5 min. For inking and less decision-y work I'll most often put on a show I've seen a million times, episodes of Columbo, the Mike seasons of MST3K, Newsradio, nothing I have a terribly high emotional connection with and again never something new because those just become distractions.
a creator I admire whose art isn't my thing:
A tough one. I can sour on creators faster for who they are than what their work is. I like the style and visual feel of the Pogo comics but they are a cognitive chore to read. Chris Ware is extremely talented and interesting but his comics can really bog me down. I tend to be drawn to works of art/writing/music first and dig into the creator later. If the art doesn't hold space in my head, the creator will usually wander off with it. Unless of course I know them personally, and then I don't comment on whether it's my thing in public. 😅
Something others find hard that I enjoy:
Not sure what most others struggle with so much but I really enjoy hand-lettering! I also love drawing hands, faces, eyes, the expressive bits that are bears to get just right and really screw up a moment of they aren't quite there. A key exception to that is Jack Kirby's Devil Dinosaur, whose face is always correct even if it doesn't match that the speaking characters say about it.
I make a lot of faces to myself while I'm drawing. I feel like being behind the expression can be more important than having an image to work from.
media I love that doesn't inspire me artistically:
I almost said Mr. Ed but I'm not sure that's true. I enjoy lots of creators whose strengths are just not my own and I don't feel like I need to replicate. Sometimes the things that inspire me translate more into my mental processes than the images I make. I enjoy noir aesthetics, artists who play with panel design, artistic angles, historic accuracy and well researched background, I love mecha, anime, period drama, technical draftsmanship, color- but at the end of the day I focus more on getting the story on paper, then see where I can challenge myself in the details rather than trying to push toward something markedly different from my preferred modes. Not to say I don't experiment but when the choice is try something very far from my comfort zone or know I'll get completed work on the page, I do what feels natural.
For the ask game: 8, 14, 30!
Old projects I've lost interest in:
I only really have two big projects, Crittertongue and Dinosaur Sheriff. I've been writing DS since 2008 and there are only 3 complete issues but my enthusiasm for it is still going strong. Crittertongue has just been more sustainable since they're shorter, and the narrative structure allows me to do more with it amidst my work and parenting duties.
If anything, I lose interest in themes. I grew up watching a lot of action movies and shows, reading stories with a lot of combat, explosions, gnarly kills, bizarre anime weapons, honorable or hyperbolic violence. While I still like dope fight scenes, action, giant monster fights () in my media, I've lost interest in using it as a major fixture of my own work. There are more interesting forms of conflict than the kinds a character can address with a sword, and the guns in my life are quiet more often than not. A gun has more narrative weight for me as a threat, as a desperate thing. They lose their teeth when they become punctuation. So while my work does feature the odd scrap here or shots fired there, I try to keep it tailored more to the purpose it serves rather than engaging in it for spectacle.
Growing up as a boy, there was kind of an ever-present background of casual violence that really stressed me out. Like I was fucking up by not fighting more, but when I did get physical, I was overreacting. Fetishizing the capacity for violence feels gross to me. Anyway, that's about as close to an answer as I have there.
Motifs:
I try to keep my environments simple even when they're large and rambling, but I am mad for surface texture, patina, weathering, "beausage." I love when an artist can make something look hard or sticky, fuzzy or beaten up with linework. Environments where nothing looks new are like candy for me. Cam Kennedy drew a number of Boba Fett comics that I read to pieces in middle school and his line work created such beautiful texture, amazing eye-feel (gross), and visual interest that really tied characters into their environments. Learning how to balance out that kind of thing feels therapeutic for me. I hate the greebled massing of shapes and textures to make things look more dramatic or technical or interesting. It's very noisy. I really prefer more functional, practical shapes, and keeping things repeatable without turning my brain to soup or my wrist to dust.
I apply this most often to characters' clothes. Designs where a character is always converted in elaborately layered straps, belts, sashes, gear, armor... stuff give me a hot brain. Do they sleep in it? Where do they put it? Do they pile 3 satchels, a cape, a sword belt, two pistols, and a rucksack in the corner when they have to poop? Is that an answer? Yes. Answered. I'm great at this.
A piece I think is underrated:
Dinosaur Sheriff is definitely under-utilized in my portfolio and the first art was done while I was a young, sleep-deprived college kid, but I'd still love more folks to get to read it. I think it's gotten better with every issue but havent had the resources to complete, print or distribute it. 😑Ffff... I'm working on it.

Hi, I just recently got into dinosaurs and I'm wondering if you have any good book reccommendations? It would be a big bonus if they were in Finnish, somehow I only keep finding childrens' books if I don't search for them in English :/
Oh, dude, wish I knew! Dinosaurs kinda have an image problem, where they're seen either as kids' stuff or blood thirsty awesomesaur movie monster with very little between. The stuff that gets selected to be translated into Finnish often just emphasize the divide, as most what I see are just kids books and nothing else.
(I wrote my Bachelor's thesis on the subject, this is a huge annoyance for me personally, and a big part on why I keep drawing dinosaurs. They deserve better!)
Anyway, I did dig into my own book shelf, so here's a selection of... I don't know, adequate?
Tumblr media
David Lambert: The Ultimate Dinosaur
I got this book as a birthday present when I was 8, and it's still one of my absolute favourites. The illustrations are pretty, and used to be quite state of the art at the time, and the info is easy to follow.
Almost thirty years out of date by now, so nearly everything would require further research if used as a reference. Like this is from the time when "some dinosaurs might have even had feathers!" was a groundbreaking new idea!
Tumblr media
For some reason I can't seem to find the original English title of this book, but eh.
Pretty okay for a kids' book, although it's one of those that uses "dinosaur" in the title to mean "everything prehistoric from fucken trilobites to sloths"
Art quality varies a lot, from beautiful photographs to pretty good drawings to "CG blob"
Tumblr media
Darren Naish: The Great Dinosaur Discoveries
The book talks about dinosaurs through specific fossils and discoveries made about them
Art quality varies some, but nothing too horrible! (honestly not even bad, I just have opinions)
Only one decade out of date! Deinocheirus is still only the pair of arms, and I remember getting the book it, like, JUST missed the discovery of dinosaur fossils that preserved pigment cells.
Tumblr media
Don't think this one has been translated to Finnish, but it was on my pile of source material when I did my thesis.
The text, as far as I remember, was pretty good. The art is consistent and pretty okay as well!
Been a while since I've read it, but I do remember it being a pretty okay read.
Tumblr media
My newest book so far. I haven't actually read it yet, but from what I can see by browsing through, I do got a pretty good impression!
Okay so I know the cover art is kinda on the side of CG blob awesomesaur*, but the actual illustrations are of much higher quality! It is heavier on the text than on the pictures, but that's because it's not aimed at kids.
I should really get around to reading it, it's the most up to date thing I have. It has Anchiornis (the first dinosaur to have it's entire coloration mapped)! And a picture of that one Psittacosaurus fossil with the tail quills!
*(big theropod "roaring" with open mouth, all teeth visible and those clearly visible, pink muscle flaps at the corners of the mouth is a Trope that's hard to unsee. Imagine if all books about mammals only had lions/wolves/bears/rottweilers doing that open mouther all-teeth-visible roar pose, but I digress)
Also I know this isn't strictly dinosaurs, but
Tumblr media
Pterosaurs are close cousins of dinosaurs, and this baby here is THE best book about them I have ever seen, and I wanted to give it a plug.
Pterosaurs deserve more love! They are weird, and bizarre and amazing and I love them so, so very much!
The book is quite text heavy and I haven't read all of it, but the illustrations are pretty and up-to-date, and it is seriously a TRAGEDY that these animals aren't more popular.
But honestly? Wikipedia. Okay, I'm not sure on the Finnish side of Wikipedia, but the English one is pretty much the best place to find up to date info on dinosaurs.
A big problem with dinosaurs is that you can't just go and snap a bunch of photos, except for birds of course (who are a group of feathered maniraptoran theropods), so illustrating a full book would get really expensive really fast, and finding an artist who's up to date with the current knowledge, available for the project AND affordable is kinda hard, so a lot of the books get marketed for those who are most likely to buy them (kids, maybe some horror monster fans, unfortunately also people who think "science ruined dinosaurs" for "making" them feathered) and illustrations are kinda just whatever happens to be available.
This is a big part of my inspiration for the dinosaur project thingy. The world needs more dinosaurs!
Any of my followers have other sources/suggestions for someone new to dinosaurs? I haven't kept my book shelf all that up to date since finishing my thesis (I spent a full year nitpicking dinosaur representation in media. I was so close to slipping into thesis rant mode so many times writing this post it's not even funny... Had to take a break after finishing, and most of my research since has been kinda through online osmosis)

LeoVil but its a typical family AU
(Epel and Jack are the little three year-olds)
---
Jack prefers Mama Vil over Papa Leona because Vil pays attention while Leona takes many naps
Epel prefers Papa Leona over Mama Vil because Vil fusses too much over them (and also because he can take a nap on Leona)
Jack and Epel quarrel a lot (fistfights)
this:
Epel: He started it!
Jack: He called me dummy!
Leona: I DON'T CARE WHO STARTED IT.
Vil: YOU TWO STAY IN YOUR TIMEOUT CORNERS.
Leona: And no bedtime story tonight.
Vil: No cookies too.
Epel and Jack: :(
Leona and Vil in their bedroom but they quietly argue which daycare the kids go to
Once, the kids played with Vil's beauty products and spilled the nail polish in his Hermes bag by mistake. They both knew they were screwed so they asked Leona for help. His only answer: "Apologize to your mother and hope he does not disown you at the streets." Jack started crying, then Epel started crying, so now, Leona has to deal with his two tots and maybe a demonic husband in the afternoon as soon as he gets back from the salon. He has to send Ruggie to buy the exact same one. It did not tide over well because Vil found out and promptly punished their two boys by grounding them and making them do the chores for two weeks.
Leona freaked out when he saw Epel carving an apple with the big kitchen knife and made him stick with a plastic knife.
Epel: It doesn't work!
Leona: It does. You're not trying hard enough.
Vil helps them make pillow fortresses and uses little rubber balls as ammo when they play 'war'
Leona and Vil have slipped on toys from everywhere so much
Jack refused to speak to Epel for a week because Epel accidentally ripped the arm off his stuffed dinosaur even when Vil sewed it back up
this:
Epel: Mama, Papa, where did you two meet?
Leona and Vil: College.
Jack: Was it love at first sight?
Leona and Vil, internally: Hell no.
During wintertime, if it gets too cold, the kiddies go to their parents' bedroom and just snuggle up with them (Leona and Vil pretend to complain)
The kiddies have failed to find a method that gets them to the snack box at the high shelf in the pantry
If the kiddies are to ever have a nightmare, they don't go to their parents' room, they go to each others' beds and just stay there, comforted already
If the two parents want to get frisky, their safest bet is the bathroom
At car rides, there is a USB filled to the brim with nursery rhymes (and Baby Shark)
Leona: Kids, fasten your seatbelts.
Jack: BABY SHARK!
Vil: Seatbelts first.
Epel: Maaaaa, I want snacks!
Leona: We literally just got in the car-
Vil makes them eat vegetables. The whole family. Yes, Leona too.
If the kids ever want something, like a new toy, they usually tug on Leona's hair until he's completely fed up and buys it for them. Obviously, Vil scolds Leona for spoiling them too much
Vil and the kiddies make treats for Leona when he's either sad or angry and make it look as pretty as possible
The kids got into a lot of trouble for drawing on the walls with permanent markers
this:
Leona: I'm going out, do you need anything in the store?
Vil: BREAD!
Jack: GUMMY BEARS!
Epel: MARSHMALLOWS!
Vil: NO TO THOSE TWO! YOU'LL GET SICK!
Jack and Epel: BUT MAAAAAA!
Uncle Rook and Uncle Ruggie are no strangers to them and often come around. They like Rook for tackling, Ruggie for food and both for playing
Lilia is for babysitting when Leona and Vil go out (even if they beg for their parents to stay)
Epel is the one who tugs on their clothes while Jack hugs their legs to keep them from going while Lilia is just cackling at the corner

Okay. So base plot. We're a team of "superheros" called NUKETHEMALL (It stands for something probably) and we follow the world's best "detective and/or genius" Sherlock Volt (or sv). He is basically legi batman.
Our main villain is capitalism impersonated, the wonderfully horrendous Jonathan D Pringle. He speaks very fancy British and looks like the pringles mascot crossed with the monopoly man. He is a dickhead. He sucks. He is a self centred, arrogant bitch who I hate very much. He and SV are biological brothers and raised by bears. He died once and was cloned and has memory loss, but he's still an asshole.
Our wonderful superhero teams consists of:
- Queen del, Queen of Pootown. Sister of Thonks.
- Like garfeild or thanos or someone
- a couple people who didn't make a character
- Thonks, original member of the 'onks, therapist, pyromaniac, constantly stressed. Thinks she is qualified to give therapy. (She is not). Always tries to see the good in everyone, no matter how many times someone may have wronged her. This often means she cannot always draw the line, and sometimes Stonks is the one to do that for her.
- Stonks, played by me. original member of the 'onks. They do the taxes and financial support of NUKETHEMALL. They likely never learned to count. They are so done and traumatised by everyone's bullshit. Has an extreme hatred for Pringle. They are not nearly as forgiving as Thonks, but also aspire to be like her as they feel they are worth less than her on the team, as they are younger and not as smart or noticed. They also want to be a pirate and are very bad at lying and stealth. They are often very blunt in their ways, which contrasts to Thonks. They are a duo.
Bonks - Newest addition to the onks. They have a special hammer that when they hit people, they get bonked. What does this mean? Honestly I'm not sure. They died once, and then died again and became a ghost and almost got married to Stonks. They spent their entire life in prision and basically followed NUKETHEMALL after they all got trapped in prison.
Honks - a goose sv took from a lake. Has a goose personality. Sv claims he can talk to him, but it is unsure if this is true. Thonks thinks she can talk to him, but this is not true. Is a weapon.
Paul - based on TGWDLM. Has a bee for a head and body of a human, but with stingernails and like 20 hearts. He is very, very sad all the time and nothing will ever go right for him. He is the assistant for SV and is not good at his job at all. The only thing that brings him joy is his yogurt.
Chad - Paul's assistant, is the best boy. Himbo. Thonk's good friend. I love him very very much.
------
The villains Team, (I forgot the name tbh) consists of:
Pringle (somewhat. Not anymore but he was the leader under the premisis of "because I'm the best." Nobody likes him.
Old man jenkins - the original villain. He got stuck in he'll once. For like years. His partner in crime is lapis.
Lapis - a literal block of lapis. She is so done. She is so fucking done. She literally hates everyone. She can't talk by herself. Invented a machine that let's her talk and build death traps out of pure spite. Has no hands. She is a fucking block. She was found by jenkins one day and just had to follow with what he did. Once got possessed by a ghost. Is probably the smartest character but nobody pays attention to her.
- Lazer scooby
- rock n roll kermit
- goofy, he'll incarnated. Once invented time travel out of a rubbish bin and now has a pet dinosaur. Please oh fuck I hate him so much. Murderous.
- Dequavion, the only one I don't fully consider to be a villain despite being an awful person. She wanted to be prom queen and then overthrew Queen Del and became queen of pootown working with pringle, but then was killed by pringle and then became a ghost and possessed lapis. A massive bitch.
-------
Additional characters:
- everyone from the song "show stopping number." In tgwdlm
Leighton is the school librarian and evil scientist. He and Thonks have the most passive agressive agressive rivalry known to man. They hate eachother so much.
I'm forgetting so many.
There is more shit so this is kinda cut down lmao but I have no braincells to carry on thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

wait that's so much fun tho???? dude that sounds v nice, rock n roll kermit supremacy

1. Munchkin, Silly/ silly boy, lil dude, Bud/Buddy, Tiny, little man/ little guy, cutie, Darling, Muffin, Pumpkin, Sweetheart
2. Idk what's meant by "how deep", It depends on my current situation. I often involuntary regress, when I'm in a bad mental state. I often choose to regress beforehand, whenever I feel everything is getting to much, to avoid involuntary regression happening at a bad timing. But sometimes I can't find the time and it just happens bc everything is just to much.
3. The former mentioned bad mental state (unfortunately), Stuffiest (specifically two I had since I was a Toddler) and a build a bear my best friend from preschool bought me (we are still friends, she knows I'm a regressor & the bear was her saying 'I support you and your regression'), bubble baths, cartoons, coloring, some YouTubers (mainly crafting/ art type YT), reading agere Ff's about my comfort characters, a playlist I made on Spotify, making/ eating specific food or snacks (Mac 'n cheese, PB&J, etc.) and my little clothes/ gear (Footed PJ, Onesies, Pacies, Bottles, Sippy cups, etc.)
4. Something in my hands, a plushie, a toy, a crayon, anything I can stim with, aswell as music (or TV/ Radio) playing in the background!
5. Loud and crowded spaces are super scary and overwhelming.
6. Overalls with cute patches on them and a colorful tee-shirt. Bonus points if a paci clip (& paci) is attached to one of the overalls straps!!
7. My little age ranges from 3 to 6 yo, tho mostly I tent to be 5/6. I like to do things on my own and focuse on myself, but I enjoy food and other necessaries being brought, especially since I otherwise often forget to eat/ drink. I'm also inconvenient (medical reasons), so I do need changes. I often go nonverbal when I'm little tho, bc social interaction is really draining for me.
8. Just be chill, don't scream, don't try to entertain me, tho you should definitely keep an eye on me! I like to draw on everything (sorry walls) and I get list fairly easily (I tend to run off and can't find back on my own when little).
9. Anything nostalgic really. Movies like: In a land before time, the brave little toaster, the Iron gigant, etc. and Shows like: Momo, Art attack, The backyardigans, etc.
10. The plushies mentioned in No. 3, some stim toys/ chewing toys and a toy dinosaur.
11. Not really, I'm just way more sensitive about my dislikes and way more excited about my likes.
12. I love wearing comfy clothes (onesies n PJs), using sippy cups, coloring books and the previously mentioned comfort Items, I also have Pacies but rarely use them.. I just love decorating them!
13. Yes, most of my closest friends!
14. I don't have a preference, call it anything you want.
15. Anything really except for m*mmy and d*ddy, those two terms make me really uncomfortable because I associate them with k*nk. I mainly use: Pa/Pops/Papa/Dad or Ma/Mom/Mama/Momma. I never had an NB Cg, so idk what I would call them.
16. DINOSAURS 🦖 🦕, Space 🚀🌌, and Comfort characters from different shows
17. I'm not sure, since I'm mostly nonverbal.
18. That depends on the mental state I am in / was in before regressing. Sometimes 15 minutes of coloring is all I need, other times I need a few days of being tiny to cope.
19. Also heavily depends on my mental state, I had months of not needing to regress and I had weeks where I felt the urge to regress every day.
20. See No. 7 ("My little age ranges from 3 to 6 yo")
sfw agere asks :)
Favourite nicknames/pet names?
How deep is your regression? Is it voluntary? Involuntary?
What helps you get into headspace?
What's something you absolutely need to have when you feel little?
What are things you need to avoid when you're little? (or things that pull you out of headspace?)
Best little outfits?
Do you like being taken care of? Are you independent or dependent?
What should someone know if they're going to be around little you?
Favourite show/movie to watch in headspace?
What is/are your comfort item(s)?
Do your likes and dislikes change depending on whether you're big or small?
What kind of gear do you prefer, if you like any? (Remember, having no gear is okay, and using things that don't match up with your headspace age is also okay!)
Does anyone irl know you're a regressor?
What are your preferred terms for your headspace/yourself when you're small? (e.g. small, little, tiny, regressed etc)
What cg names do you like calling someone/the ones who take care of you? (you can answer this even if you don't have a cg)
Any obsessions?
Do you use a different voice when you're in headspace?
How long do you need to be small for to feel better?
How often do you need to be small?
What's your headspace age/age range?

When hekatons get too emotional and their faces start to change, are those changes random or do they lead to a specific new form for each hekaton? Do their bodies also change if they don't try to control it? Sorry for asking so many question, i love FFAK so much QwQ
How i generally approach it, or thinking about it, is that each hekaton has a sort of a ‘second face’ they shift to. they’re not strictly tied to that second face, but there are general things it try to remember when drawing it so it “feels” like, a bit more personal to that character. But just like with our own faces, we can have a variety of different expressions! And I think that because hekaton faces change depending on emotion, some are going to be more distorted and weird than others.
For example, Lauma’s generally looked like a “wolf” ish kind of face, i generally thought of Velns as a type of “bird” or “pterodactly” and Fork is also sort of like a “trex” or dinosaur like face. Knife sometimes looks “moray eel” like to me.
For Spoon, there really isnt a specific animal that i think of for him. It just feels like a cartoonish human to me. Locket is also difficult to pinpoint, but he borrows a lot from Knife. (I also think this ties into trends that each type exhibits-- so A-types are kind of like ‘freakish human’ to me, B-types are kinda like wolves/canines/bears/ect and c-types look like dinosaurs, or marine animals.)
These don’t really mean too much in the long run, just sort of my thoughts as I build up patterns.
Spoon intentionally would shift his face around because he enjoyed terrifying people with it, since he is an A-types and also is pretty much indistinguishable from being a human otherwise.
Generally though, these distortions just happen around the face. Full body shifting is really only reserved when hekatons are doing those big growing up moments. Besides that, they have certain limitations with their bodies. (They mostly can just change the sizes of things slightly, like grow a bit taller or shorter, and adjust things like their chests and genitals, if they work really hard they can reorganize pieces of themselves in differnet places, but it takes a bit of effort and will easily ”snap” back to its correct place.) (Spoon would often twist his head around or do that more disturbing stuff to freak ppl out) (like with everything really that is just such a huge motivator for him) They can also vaguely disguise themselves to appear more human, but that takes intentional effort to ‘hold’ in place. Fork is very skilled at it cuz he interacts with humans all the time, but he also doesnt do much to disguise himself, just change his teeth and hide his face marking. (hekatons cannot change their eyes at all, however)if a hekaton is too emotionally upset and start shifting around too much, that’s probably a sign they’re about to explode. so like....... get away from them. probably
