It's finally the holiday season I have finally completed my favourite holiday ritual: once I have finished all of my gift buying and planning and suchlike, I go to my favourite independent bookshop, I buy a book of ghost stories, I pick up wine and snacks, and I enjoy these and do not speak to anyone for several hours minimum. As a reward.

#my ghost stories preference if any other spooky bitches out there are interested is the british library tales of the weird collection #they publish old public domain weird fiction in themed collections and as they have essentially every single uncopyrighted short story #in their archives they can theme them about fuckin anything #i already owned ones about boats; the woods; detectives; tattoos; trains; and london #today i got a collection themed round spooky food! it contains werewolves and cannibalism #was very tempted by the religious hauntings one and the haunted hiking one too #i might get myself those for my birthday or for top surgery. theyre my go to special treat books #bc theyre varied and bite sized and the covers are pretty and every volume contains minimum one that i think about forever
