If Crystal's goal was to get Chief's hold around her waist to tighten, for that innocent comment to cause her head to burrow deeper into her shoulder.... What a success it was!

"Did you have to say that so loud?" Body presses deeper against Crys' back. She really should've known better than following her into the pet aisle, clueless at first but settled in comfortably behind her as the other perused the shelves. But then a hand lingered over some leashes, and Chief's composure was shot with little warning. "... I'm fine, and we're going. Come on." The 'please' hovered on the tip of her tongue and briefly, she glanced around to see if any eyes were on them... but the aisle was empty aside from them.

Ah... fuck it. It was her break.

Wordlessly, her own hand drifted forward and settled on one randomly before hurriedly tossing it into the shopping crate. Grunt leaves her throat, praying for no further comment as she ushers Crystal to a different, less dizzying area.
