ANYWAY . IVY. in am!au she DID cast evanesco on Winnie but when she did that she genuinely did not think the consequences would be so dire? She was 11, the consequences of evanesco hadn't fully sunk into her brain yet, she didn't even know it would work on a person!!!!! And I also think she would've had full confidence that her grandmother wouldn't teach them something harmful so . Evanesco was really downplayed in her mind?

Then she cast it and oh my god winnies . winnies gone . she's gone and that's not supposed to happen but it did and she can't comprehend it and!!!!

you cannot tell me that wasn't traumatic!!!!

her grandmother (instead of getting her the help she needs . like a normal person.) removes her memories in hopes of alleviating Ivy's trauma but when it left her an empty husk she went to alter the memories instead before returning them to her, so now Ivy genuinely believes she hadn't done anything and she definitely hadn't casted evanesco on Winnie but then her memories were taken again and returned to her correctly and now she's so lost and confused because both versions live as fragments in her mind that she just can't seem to piece together!!!!!

am!au ivy is so tragically confused and disoriented, ofc trauma doesn't excuse the actions one takes but yeeeeeesh

Catalyst Ivy Warrington in AM!AU !!!!!!!!!!!! like clockwork, hcs always under the cut

if you can't tell just by looking at her am!au ivy stresses about her appearance a lot :']]] she's much much more clean cut, cookie cutter, prim and proper, garden princess... she's gone through horrors at age 11 and this is how she came out everything's obviously okay

Meticulously cared for pin straight hair with not a strand out of place, she brushes it an exact 600 strokes nightly

Her eyebrows are groomed perfectly!!! she has light freckles she covers up!!!!! she has eye bags she conceals !!!!!! she has blush to return a healthy glow to her skin !!!!!!!!! she swears its natural and she'd never touch make up

Her sweater is so very soft and is genuinely such a source of comfort for her... she keeps her posture right and stiff, her clothes are uncomfortable, she's probably getting a headache from that headband, but her sweater's a saving grace

Catalyst Ivy because it's her that ends up triggering every am related plot point... it only made sense, she set off the first thing that set it to motion after all

In AM!AU she presents herself so cleanly because her mind is the exact opposite, her memories are in a disarray after they've been taken out - altered - put back - removed again - returned again after the accident with winnie, yyyyyeah their grandmother isn't very good in am!au and the consequences of tampering with memory is much more clear with our ivy here
