🪨 🎨 🔪 for (one of?) your Shepard!
I'll do both Eden and Frankie!
🪨 Someone gifts your OC a shiny rock. What do they do with it?
Frankie: Frankie has a pack rat's spirit, but has lived most of her life on space stations and ships, so she has not gotten to live her true pack rat life. As such, if the rock is small enough, it's going in her pocket/backpack/combat-grade-fannypack. It is now her lucky charm.
Eden: Eden is going to lovingly put the shiny rock on the shelf next to the hamster, or perhaps next to her computer on her desk.
🎨 Does your OC have any craft skill, as a hobby or profession? If so which?
Frankie: Frankie is not someone I would call crafty. Her hobbies include Tetris and getting into bar brawls. When she needs to do something less destructive, she cleans her gear. The arts just never really called to her, though she does enjoy singing, but she's not a performer by any stretch of the word.
Eden: When Eden was young, she helped her mom with clay sculptures and also with some gardening. But after her mother died, she stopped sculpting (really she was too young to use a kiln and her dad wouldn't touch the workshop even when she begged him to). She likes to keep a small little plant though. Whatever she can keep alive on a spaceship and give her a small connection to her old home, back when the memories were still happy.
🔪 What does your OC think how they’ll die?
Frankie: Dear Frankie doesn't think a lot about how she'll die again, but she would assume it would have something to do with either getting into a brawl she can't win, or thresher maws, or getting sucked back into space, or some spectacular combination of all three. Actually, when she does go, she wants you to tell everyone that she got in a knife fight on the back of a thresher maw that got ejected into space. It would be absolutely untrue, but where's the fun in "died in the line of duty" or "got double pneumonia in the old folk's home after a long and boring retirement"?
Eden: Eden is absolutely, 100% convinced that she is going to die saving the galaxy from the Reapers and she has made peace with that. She doesn't have a clue about the particulars, of course. There are so many ways she could die over the course of the games. But she's not overly concerned with the how of it, she just knows. It's a feeling she has deep in her bones, a chill she can't quite shake.

When did commander Poki tag along to join Mem? Who else from their empire joined her?
Has any of the male tallest impregnated the shot females? Do they keep them comfy in the tallest chambers or do the service drones keep tabs?
Poki "I ran into Zim by accident when I went searching for my missing blood blade team members.*
Prior to this, the last time I saw Zim was on conventia.*
Zim and I lived together for a while; a year or so. He's a pariah, so I had to house him in secret. She went by Xeem for for a while. That was a fun year.
Zim brought me to earth as a plus one for a human mate unification celebration being thrown for his favorite Dib-monkey. What did they call it? A wed-ding? We had to wear nice gowns and fancy lace gloves, but the bar was bottomless and the humans were an entertaining bunch, so I can't complain. Actually, that wed-ding celebration was one of the funnest nights of my life...
We parted ways shortly after that. Zim decided to stay behind on Earth for a while. He never said why... Something told me I had done something or said something wrong, but I had no idea what and I didn't want to risk the comradery between us to ask or argue.
I had to return to my post or risk getting in trouble for abandoning my encoded occupation.
I kept asking around for leads and diligently watched the news stream for any clues about my blade team. The second my pub manager approved of it, I took time off to start my search again. I eventually found my missing blood blade teammates on the far outskirts of the foodcourtia system. Turns out my ladied were being held captive by Resisty rouges.*
To make a long story short, I attempted to rescue them from the resisty ship, but I underestimated them. My ladies and I ended up crash landing on Mem's planet trying to shake them off our trail. My cruiser's point of impact was a twenty day march away from the others, but we eventually reuinted again.
That's when I met that glorious battlefield of a woman... wish I had known her centuries ago."
*Poki was on a competitive blood blade team with Tak, Tenn, Yeet and their blade-leader, Zee. They showed up for practice one season and the only other teammate not on the public MIA drone list was Yeet.
*Poki, at the time the events of the 18YL au begins, has been demoted from Commander to a service drone because of drunkenness on duty. They work at a shady pub on Conventia as a tap drone (bartender).
Poki's alcoholism began in her early days as an elite soldier under late Lich's reign. They suffered abuse and several traumatic experiences because of their superior co-invader, Ziss, during Operation Stealthy Doom (invaders were sent to enemy planets in pairs then) She became a Commander after operation SD during Miyuki's reign.
So far, the list of Irkens who take refuge on Mem's mystery planet are Tak, Tenn, Zee, Floog and Larb. Skoodge ends up stranded there a little while, but leaves with one of Mem's daughters, Skathe.
Ooh! Didn't answer the second part of the question.
Very rarely is a male tallest able to sire a swarm of his own. They have fertility issues too. (Sometimes they can't form a *sqwak. Others could, but their sqwak "lacks potency" or they're afraid their sqwak might be too long and literally impale a short drone. How attentive they are to their birthing drones depends on the tallest. Some barely interact with their birthing drones at all. They assign service drones and medical drones to tend to them. Others treated their birthing drones like a loving human husband would treat their wife and shower them with attention and perks.
*sqwak; a temporary, sharp-ended appendage that forms in irken males during mating seasons. Sqwaks break off after successfully penetraiting a females shmizz (a fleshy layer on the irken pelvic floor that forms a temporary uterus after being peirced by a sqwak.
Yes, if done improperly, mating for Irkens can be painful and cause death.

The Red Guard and the Snow Angel
Hank and Connor’s kiss
Hank and Connor fighting
Hank and Connor having good time with Sumo
Connor’s “I’m not going anywhere”
Gavin and Nines : interface
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 6
They eventually find something in one of the books : Kamski is known to live in a castle, with 7 beautiful angels to serve him. No one knows how to get to Kamski's castle, since the pike is guarded by the darkness war spirit (actually Kamski being the powerful magician he is, sealed the war spirit to the castle, condemning it to the protection of the whole rock he lives on).
On their first attempt getting to the castle, Hank gets injured, and they're forced to retreat to Nestlepeek
Connor stays near Hank as he recovers, and can't help but touch him with noticeable loving attention. Nines sees him but just decides to say nothing, knowing he's too emotionally compromised with Gavin to give his brother a lesson. Gavin is totally oblivious to that, he's just very bad at hiding his concern for Hank (yes ! he is low-key worried for his human comrade).
X
Nines somehow gets to talk calmly with Nines, for the first time since the street fight.
Nines : I just don't understand. You've always been so ambitious, always training to be more powerful, why don't you use this aspiration to channel the power source and thus use it? It doesn't make sense. Gavin : It's… It's just too fucking much to process okay ? This war spirit is in me, I can feel its thirst for blood and violence all day long, and I know I can't control him because I…
Gavin just stops before he can say he's too confused with his own priorities now to have a defined goal he can use to canalize the spirit's energy. He used to know what he wanted to do with his power, but now, he feels a latent part of him wants to use it to protect his partners, Hank, and the two snowy idiots. He's still not ready to admit it outloud and thus, the spirit having no specific goal to unleash its violence, is in fact uncontrollable.
Nines, who is a bit more honest with himself than our favorite rat, already knows he cares for Gavin more than he should in regard to his given mission, and just feels so useless when Gavin refuses to talk to him. At this point Nines only wants to help him. He looks quietly at Gavin's nape, where the seal of the war spirit is still noticeable and forms a delicate golden scar. The Golem feels a little contradictory about this scar, one part of him being satisfied and proud of the mark he was able to let on Gavin's body, and the other part of him feeling guilty for it.
Nines : I'm sorry for this. You didn't ask for it and now you have to deal with… a war spirit and unwanted killing desires. I sometimes forget you're only human, it's not in your nature to use magic. Gavin : … It's okay. Let's just… stop talking about the spirit, deal ?
Nines remains carefully silent when Gavin offers his hand in a casual manly shake. He knows humans culturally use handshakes to settle an arrangement, and decides to ignore the deep and intimate meaning of this specific gesture in his own culture. Their hands meet, as Nines' skin unwittingly turns white at the contact, but the golem doesn't pay much attention since a human can't interface anyway. Gavin's smug expression shows he's  about to say something but his grin fades away as Nines realizes their mistake : in a flash, he can feel Gavin's doubts about his unsaid desire to protect Nines despite his hatred for golems. Nines isn't sure what passed through the contact and doesn't have a clue on what impression Gavin had about his inner thoughts, or if he even felt or saw something. The human is the first to break the contact. He looks shocked, as he meets Nines' eyes and for a moment, none of them can speak.
Gavin : The hell was that ?!
Nines is confused too : … I didn't know it would… interfaces only happen between magic creatures… Maybe… the spirit allows you to connect with me.
Gavin : What the… You read my thoughts ? Nines : It's not… mind reading. I caught a diffuse… "impression".  Gavin : … Shit.
Gavin looks suddenly so betrayed. He looks down and sideways, taking a few steps away, hands on his neck as if he was trying to hide his head between his arms. When Nines tries to get closer, he almost jumps away.
Gavin : Don't- Fuck it, don't… touch me. Nines : I'm sorry, I didn't mean to probe you. Gavin : What exactly did you… hear or whatever? Nines : … I think… I have an answer for why you can't use the spirit's violent spree. Gavin : Fuck you, that was private ! Did you search for it you fucking asshole ? Nines : Like I said, I didn't mean to interface with you ! You too must have seen something from me so stop being a child. Gavin : I didn't-
Nines waits patiently for the end of the sentence but it never comes, as some realization seems to dawn on the human warrior.
Gavin : That nice fluttering in the stomach, when we held hands, actually it was you ?
And for once, Nines is the one to remain silent, his face even but internally too embarrassed to answer the question. No wonder this sensation passed through the connection. For the few seconds their hands touched, Nines was, in a Golem way, experiencing a gesture akin to a kiss, of course he was kind of "emotionally impacted".
Nines : … As I said… let's not embarrass ourselves any further.
And at that exact moment, Gavin realizes that Nines likes him… more than a partner, more than a friend.
X
In their room, Connor is holding Hank's hand.
Hank : So, what should we do ? Connor : I didn't think about it yet. I wanted to be here when you wake up. Hank : ...I still have three days of bed rest at the very least… Are you sure you want to lose all this time when we're so close to the goal ? I mean, we already went through the desert, you don't need me anymore. Connor : Of course I need you, Hank. Hank : Ahaha… It's nice to go easy on me like this but you don't have to- Connor : You have to trust me, when I say I need you. It's not because I think you can help me go faster or even because I think you can help me cross a specific territory. I just… need you because you mean something to me.
Hank stays quiet but tightens his hand around Connor's, looking down right at them, his large, calloused fingers embracing the golem's white and slender ones. A long and deep look into Connor's golden brown eyes tells him there is more into this already meaningful gesture than he might think.
Connor breaks the eye-contact, and Hank realizes how intense the moment was : Connor's eyes inexplicably make him feel comfortable, as if he was floating in a warm air bubble, and he instantly misses the feeling when Connor stops mirroring his gaze to look down at their hands.
Connor : You know… There is this ultimate quest upon us, something we have to achieve to save our people… And this goal governed us like it was the only thing that mattered… Maybe I'm being a selfish brat, but Hank you're so important to me, I don't want you to be injured or killed in all this. Hank : You're important to me too, Connor.  (And then Hank laughs, giving in to his stupid and unwanted feelings.) Actually, you probably couldn't even understand how much you mean to me.
When Connor meets his gaze with a puzzled expression on his face, Hank decides he has to tell him. If anything, Connor could still change his mind and keep going without him, and then Hank will be able to finally move on. He's too fucking old to pine for a pretty boy, and if it's gotta be painful then he wants it the sooner the better.
Hank : I… recently started to develop… indecent feelings… Connor, purposely obtuse: "Indecent" ? Hank : I mean... in a… hum… romantic way. Come on kid, don't make me say it. Connor : Why would "romantic" be "indecent" ? Hank : Dunno, I'm old and pathetic, you're young and cute, sounds indecent to me. Connor : Hank… I love you too. Hank : ...You, huh... Sorry what ? Connor : I mean every single word in this sentence, Hank, I really do. Hank : … Oh.
Connor chuckles at Hank's blank expression, as his poor brain processes the information with unprecedented difficulty. And as Hank starts moving again, his brows frowning and his mouth forming an "o" like he was gonna say "why ?!", Connor just leans towards him and brushes his beard with his lips before meeting his mouth, softly.
And god, they love it. Hank leans forward to deepen the kiss, Connor catches his beard, his fingers following the edges of his chiseled jaw until they reach his neck and nestle around it.
And it's a weird sensation to Hank because he used to know what was hot passion and what was tenderness, and at this very moment, he could feel both in Connor's grip, burning fire and smooth touches at the same time. That's it, love, love everywhere.
They separate because the older man needs to breathe and hopefully, Connor remembered it because Hank was just gonna kiss him until he falls unconscious.
Hank : Am I dead ? Connor : You're thankfully alive and safe, but you need rest. Stay calm. Hank : I can't  believe it… i'm… almost scared of falling asleep and realize you're gone when I wake up. Connor smiles smugly at this : he takes Hank's hand in his own, kisses the palm softly, his deep dark eyes locked on Hank's.  Connor : Sleep tight. I'm not going anywhere.
X
So, as soon as Hank can walk again, the party goes back to Kamski's peek.
Hank : I feel better but I admit that I don't think I'm able to fight anything right now. Maybe we can find another way ? Gavin : Humans and Golems can't beat a war spirit. But, huh… a war spirit could do. Nines : … Is that you you're talking about? Gavin : 'Know another war spirit around here ? Nines : But you… you can't control it… I mean, you're obviously facing a dilemma with your own motivations right now. I don't think you should endanger yourself in this state… Hank : What dilemma ? Gavin : Not your business. It's fine, I just need… I just need to meditate a little bit more. Connor : We don't need much more than a distraction just a moment until we reach the castle. There we'll activate the seal and it should stunt the spirit for some time. Nines : I'm not letting him go alone. Gavin : Still don't trust me, snow man ? Nines : I'm concerned for your well being. I wanna help. Hank : Well then we can do that. Nines and Gavin take care of the spirit and Connor, we get to the castle as fast as we can. You're good ? Connor : … Yeah, that sounds good. I just need to talk with Nines. In private.
Hank and Gavin just look at each other, surprised, but then they leave the brothers for their serious talk.
X
Connor : What was that ? "I'm concerned for you well being" ? Gavin is right, only a war spirit can compete with a war spirit… even if we wanted to, we couldn't help. Nines : Gavin can't control his spirit. I saw it when we interfaced, he truly can't, no matter how much he meditates, as long as he will have this dilemma, he can't make it. Connor : Wait what ?! Interfaced ? How ? Nines : Guess the spirit makes him sensible to magic connections. Connor : What's the deal ? Why can't he control it yet ? He's strong enough, and for what I know, ambitious enough, so it's only a matter of… Nines : He's confused. He grew fond of us, and he knows we're basically enemies. We're all being reckless, he's the only one to keep this truth in mind; if we can't reach Kamski, or if he refuses to help us, we'll have to go back to the war we left, go back to kill each other. He can't resign himself to accept his attachment to us if we're going to be his enemies again. Connor : … Do you think he can make it ? Against the darkness war spirit ? Nines : I don't. That's why he needs me there. If the thunder spirit takes control of his body, I'll be there to hit the seal in his neck. Connor : Oh Nines… You love him, don't  you? Nines : … We're selfish and weak, Con. This mission… our whole kind is waiting for us to succeed. And we're threatening this long awaited deliverance because we fell for humans…  Connor : ...That's why we can't fail. I understand you're worried but maybe… Maybe that's the reason why Gavin wants to try : he knows we can't fail now.
X
In the final act, Gavin and Nines get ready to fight with the war spirit, while Hank and Connor plan on reaching the castle as fast as they can, and find Kamski.
Gavin and Nines are hiding near the war spirit.
Nines : … Are you ready ? Gavin : I don't really have a choice there.
Gavin breathes deeply and steadily, to focus and calm down before entering the arena.
Nines : I'll be flying right behind you, okay ? It's factually stronger than me, so I have to maintain minimal distance with it, but I'll be ready to hit your seal when you need  me to, and help you run away if you're in a bad state.  Gavin scoffs : Thanks Snowman, I feel so confident right now, with you believing in me like this. Nines : … Sorry I just… worry. Gavin : Look, I was right, at that time, I couldn't do it and I was totally right. But today I… I'll do it. And I want to prove it to you.
In front of Nines' incredulous stare, Gavin offers his hand : Nines narrows his eyes as he detects static electricity all around his fingers, as if his spirit was already eager to fight.
Nines : … Do you know what it means to us, Golems ? Interfacing with someone ? Gavin : Enlighten me, snow man. Nines : ...I'll tell you if we survive this fight. Gavin : Huh… fair enough. Now, take my hand, I'll show you.
Nines gulps nervously and reaches for Gavin's hand, his own fingers turning white as he gets closer to the human's warm skin.
And he can feel everything. It's a lot less blurry and chaotic than the first time, as somehow Nines' first sensation is Gavin's serenity about sharing his deep feelings. He catches a volatile thought that flies through the human mind, saying in a flippant tone "we might die, no need to get embarrassed", and smiles at it. Interfacing with Gavin is very special for some reason : Nines had interfaced with other Golems before but it was never so vibrant, so intense. "Maybe that's because we're about to die" he feels, and for a moment he wonders if that comes from him or from Gavin. Nines feels like Gavin is an extension of himself at that very moment. Suddenly, the realization he's gonna fight against a gigantic, ancient war spirit dawns on him. He feels scared, sure but somehow, confident as well. He can do it. He will do it now, because if he fails, he'd give up on his people in Detroit, his friends Hank and (surprisingly) Connor. He would give up on Nines and he's not ready to. He used to fear that he was making friends with an enemy… That they'd have to separate at some point, and go back to where they belonged, Detroit and Jericho. But if Gavin fails now, Detroit and Jericho are doomed. He used to fear that death was preying upon him… now he fears that his team could die. That Nines could…
If he fails now, Nines and he will be dead, and that is much more scary than befriending a Golem.
Nines frowns as he feels Gavin's hand twitching in his, as if he was about to draw it back. He wants to stay connected, he wants to melt into Gavin's mind, because he feels so scared right now.
All he can catch is a glimpse of something that sounds like "I have found some higher purpose in life than my own existence", before Gavin breaks the contact.
When Nines opens his eyes again, they're wet and his breath is short. Gavin too, seems a bit shaken up by the interface.
Nines wonders what exactly the human saw/felt/heard from him and feels very self conscious for a floating second. He wants to kiss the human, he can feel it in his vein, the fire of love rushing, burning his cold body. Gavin must have felt it through the interface… and somehow, Nines wonders if he knows. He doesn't seem shocked or… disgusted.
Gavin : You okay ? Nines : Yeah… I'm ready to go.
Gavin exhales sharply : Alright, let's do this.
Nines : I've got your back. Everything will be alright.
So they get out of their hiding spot and as Nines takes off, Gavin summons the thunder spirit.
X
We then follow Hank and Connor, who are climbing up the rocky column at the top of which Kamski established his castle. Actually, Hank climbs it and Connor flies around to help him find the safe grips.
They're constantly attacked by monsters with long members (parts of the war spirit), and can't fight them all back. They decide to run forward, and they finally reach a huge grid in a tunnel : Connor can pass between two bars, but Hank can't. Behind them, the monsters are getting closer.
Hank : Run before they catch us up ! Connor : Wait, there must be a way for you- Hank : I'm sure there must be, Connor, but we won't find the solution in the next few minutes we have. You have to keep going without me. Connor : What are you gonna do ? They're gonna outnumber you, and… and you're still healing from the last injury--- Hank : You have to find Kamski ! He must know how to stop those monsters, and the war spirit out there. He can help us ! Connor : … Yeah, right.
Connor puts his hands on the floor and ice columns grow up from the ground, keeping Hank in a safe space. When the man looks back at Connor with tenderness and gratitude, Connor kisses him through the bars.
Connor : The ice won't last long but it can buy you some time… Hank I… I love you. Don't let me down. Hank : I swear. Now, run, and don't look back.
Connor nods and starts running to the castle, as the monsters start to attack ferociously the ice cage Connor created. Hank knows it's not gonna last much longer, and that he'll have to fight. He prays to be able to see Connor again.

Battle For The Planet of the Apes Part Three
When Worlds Collide,
Rainey walked Jess over to the building where  the holding cells where and picked up the two drifters bags from off the table. Jess opened one up, looking through the bag. Her eyes widened in shock to find a large skull inside of it. An ape skull. She handed it to Rainey as she saw something else and pulled out a poster. It was a wanted poster with a name underneath of it ordered to be captured alive. On it was a young woman with long dark black hair and dark green eyes, who looked to be in her early to late teens. Lily. Who was she?
Jess turned around and walked over to the cells, looking at Willits who was sitting down on the bench.
"I don't think you've been entirely honest with us," Jess frowned. "Cuz, you sure ain't as hell who you say you are." She tossed the ape skull to the man and it rolled ont the floor stopping in front of him. Then she pulled out the wanted poster of Lily, holding it out in front of the two men. "And why are you after this one girl? What did she do to piss you guys off?"
"Guess it's time we come clean, eh, Oswald? Fact is, we didn't want to scare you guys unnecessarily." Willits said. "But we're, we're what you'd call-"
 "Ape hunters." Reeves finished.
 "You're what?" Rainey questioned.
"We hunt apes since the flu." Willits replied.
"Somehow they got out. They got smart, bred like rats. Use guns." Reeves said.
 "Guns?" Rainey asked.
"Yep." Reeves answered him. "Shoot you real dead too."
"And the girl?" Jess asked.
"We've been tracking her for years since the outbreak broke out. She holds the cure to the simian flu." Jess and Rainey looked at each other before turning back to the two men as Willits continued. "A couple of days ago, we've actually managed to run into her but the apes that she was with interfered. She seemed particularly close to one ape that had blue eyes."
"A human with apes? I don't believe it." Rainey said, frowning.
"Well, believe it. She is living among them. She's probably out there right now. Waiting." Willits told him.
"Waiting for what?" Jess asked.
"Revenge." Reeves replied. "It is her fault that almost most of the human race had died out."
"Your wound's mighty improved." Jess retorted, looking at the stab wound on Reeve's shoulder. "I'm guessing she must have done it."
"Oh, yeah. How about that?" Reeves replied. "Guess I'm one of those lucky types. Heals fast."
"Apes. They are a scourge," Willits said. "They've been heading east. We've been tracking them. See, what we do is we find a tribe -and we rub 'em out. And people, are usually grateful."
 "Surprisingly grateful." Reeves added.
"So, you knew about these apes," Jess said. "And what else didn't you tell us?"
"I wouldn't say we knew you had an ape problem," Willits said. "Fact is, we thought you folks might be fine out here."
"I guess now we've changed our minds about that." Reeves replied.
"You know what Willits, I don't give a damn about the apes moving east," Jess answered him. "We got a herd to protect, and we can't afford to lose any more cattle or any more men."
"Yeah, appreciate that vote of confidence, but thing is we don't know how bad your ape problem is, could be a whole army of them out there. And I'm guessing you folks don't have a damn clue what you're gonna face," Willits said. "So for us- come morning, we're turning south."
"Yeah, you're right we don't have a clue, but maybe you do, so why don't you share what you know, huh?" Jess asked them.
"Yeah, maybe next time," Willits retorted. "If there is a next time. Your town- none too friendly either. I think you can sort this out."
"Alright I get it, a couple of punk drifters, all talk." Rainey replied. "Come on, Jess, let's get out of here."
"Ma'am, Mr. Rainey," Reeves said. "You really want our help, you know what, we'll help. But here's the thing, you need to listen to us and do exactly what we say and when we say it, or more people gonna die."
"It's your call, Jess." Rainey replied, looking at her.
"Okay," Jess sighed. "We'll take your help. But let's get one thing straight. You don't call the shots, I do."
 "Thanks." Reeves replied to her.
"And we'll help you." Willits said. "Not right now. We're going to get some sleep. But, come tomorrow though-we'll track us some apes. Hell, maybe even kill a few." Jess and Rainey walked away, leaving them men in the cells.
"Y'all shut the door, we're getting a little bit of a draft in here." Willits chuckled.
Bryn, Tola and Juno along with the rest of hunting party apes returned back to the mountain with the cattle that they've killed as they dragged it behind their horses. Several apes greeted them happily as they saw them approach walking inside the cave. Oaka ran over to husband, hugging him. Bryn wrapped his arm around her, and Tola hopped down from his horse and Brutus tore a leg piece from the cattle, carrying with him as he followed the ape. Tola walked up to a small hill with a tree on it, standing on top of it. Brutus threw the leg down on the ground.
"We bring food to our tribe!" Tola shouted.
"Because of my brother, the tribe will eat!" Bryn shouted.
"Tonight," Tola said. "And for many nights. We shall feast!" Bryn saw Clarence approach to him and Oaka, slowly. He frowned in suspicion as he looked over at the cattle before turning to Bryn.
"Bryn," He signed, shaking his head "This is human food. It is not from the mountain. You disobeyed your father."
"No. This food is good. Bring life to tribe!" Bryn signed as he told him.
"Clarence- look. Thanks to Bryn and Tola- tribe eats. Without food, there is no tribe." Oaka signed, supporting her husband.
"You think I don't know what this food means?" Clarence signed.
"Oaka is right. Tribe must eat or die." Bryn insisted as he signed to the orangutan. Clarence walked away as he headed up to the throne to Khan. Oaka turned to her husband, placing her forehead on his.
"Today our son will eat. Today all apes eat because of you and Tola." Oaka signed to her husband. She walked away to check on Kanj. Tola hopped down and walked over to Bryn.
"When we talk with father. We tell him we found steer on mountain. Understand?" Tola said.
"Clarence does not believe us," Bryn signed. " He will warn our father."
"Khan is waiting. He wants to talk with you-now." Clarence pointed out. The two brothers turned to see Juno, standing behind them nervously. He looked down as he saw Clarence pointing at him as well. "Juno too."
The three headed up the stairs until they reached the throne to find their father, with his back facing them. He looked down at the cattle, seeing the tribe starting to split up the pieces and divide them, giving it out. "Those animals. You found them on this mountain?" The three heard their father asked them.
"Yes, father." Tola stepped up as he told him. "Maybe, they were lost. Wandered onto the mountain."
"Steer, wandering the mountain. How lucky you were." Khan turned around. Bryn tensed up as his eyes was met with his father's silent piercing gaze. Their father knew. "Bryn...is this true?" Bryn nodded.
"Yes," He spoke. "Father we were lucky. And the tribe gets to eat. It is what you wanted, yes?" Bryn saw his father frown before looking over at Juno who was hiding a few feet back. Khan walked over to him.
"Juno," Khan asked him. "Is that what happened? Is that what you saw?" Juno looked down avoiding his gaze, stammering and hooting nervously. Khan walked over and sat down on the throne, waiting. Juno glanced over at Bryn, shaking a little. Bryn quickly stepped up.
"Why do you doubt us, father? We found steer. We took them," He signed. "The tribe eats. That is a good thing."
"You think me foolish? Old?" Khan frowned.
"Father, we told you how we found it," Tola signed. "Is that not enough? Go, eat with tribe. Feast!" Khan sighed. He looked back up, looking at Bryn straight in eyes.
"Bryn, I ask you one last time." Bryn heard his father said. "Is that how it happened?" Bryn shook his head. He can't lie to his father. He couldn't.
"No, father. Not true. We found cattle on plains." He signed. Tola narrowed his eyes at him as he continued. "But we only took the food we needed."
"This food is human food. Now humans will look for their animals and hunt us down." Khan frowned, furiously, looking at all three of them.
"Yes, father," Bryn signed. "I am sorry. Forgive me."
"Did you see humans?" Khan asked him.
"Yes," Bryn nodded and spoke. "There were two."
"Did you hurt them?" His father asked him.
"We had to kill one. The other...escaped." Bryn told him.
"My sons are fools..." Khan shook his head. Tola tried to speak but their father silenced him. He narrowed his eyes at them, angrily. "YOU PUT THE TRIBE IN DANGER!" The three backed away from him. Bryn looked down, avoiding his gaze. Tola and Juno looked at each other before glancing hesitantly at their father. Khan turned to Clarence.
"Clarence," Khan signed to the orangutan. "What can we do?"
"So many questions. Are the humans near? Are there many of them?" Clarence signed. "We must find out more before we act." Khan turned back to the three apes.
"Yes, we must go. Find the humans, learn more." He signed. "There will be no more killing." He stood up, stepping up to the three. Tola, Bryn, and Juno backed away and quickly kneeled down, holding their hand out to him. Submitting to him. "This time...I will lead. You may leave now." As they father watched the three brothers leave, he turned to Clarence, seeing the orangutan shook his head and signed.
"Your sons still have much to learn."
The next morning came as the sun started to rise in the sky. Jess took Rainey and her son, along with a few of Rainey's men to the ranch with the ape hunters. As they arrived, they saw a large hole in the wall to the barn, smashed through by a large force. Pete's body lying on the ground, pulverized to a pulp. The blood stains on the grass from where the livestock once where standing. It was a gruesome sight. Rainey and some of his men went to check on the scene with the ape hunters. Mark glanced over at Pete's body. Jess stepped in front of him, shielding him from the body.
"No, Mark," Jess told her son. "You wait here."
"Neck broken like a twig," Reeves replied. "It's a hell of a way to go."
"Y'all see these tracks?" Willits pointed out to find a few footprints on the ground.
"Bunch of apes. Five, six, maybe," Reeves said. "Chimps more likely. But you see here? At least one gorilla. And they ridin' horses too."
"Anything else you see?" Jess asked the two men.
"Yeah, like, what happened here?" Rainey asked as well.
"My guess is that is where that gorilla crashed through. The other five or six through this one, with guns. I'd say it wasn't a fair fight." Willits explained.
"Ah, maybe it was just a random attack and they moved on." Rainey said.
"Yeah, I mean, why would they stay?" Jess questioned.
"Look, winter's coming, and just like us, they need food," Willits replied. "My guess is-they're close."
"What if they're watching us right now?" Mark asked.
"Nobody's watching us, Mark." Jess assured him. "And even if they are-we're well protected."
"Apes get a taste for blood, there's no telling what they'd do." Reeves replied.
"There's only one way to find out," Willits said. "They like trees. They like cover."
"Yeah, it's easy enough to track 'em from here." Reeves replied.
"So, we hunt them down?" Mark said.
"Now, hold on!" Rainey shouted. "Now, we came here for Pete and the herd. There's no way in hell that we're going after 'em."
"Right," Jess agreed with him. "We get the herd safe. Take Pete's body-and ride back into town."
"Okay, look. You guys gotta listen." Willits said. "Alright-you need to know what you're up against. How many of them are there? Okay. Are they moving on or are they here to stay?"
"Damn it," Rainey sighed. "Alright...Blake...we need to get Pete back to town. The herd to safety, take care of it."
"Yeah." Blake answered. Jess turned to Mark.
"Mark," She told him. "I want you to stay close."
"Of course." He answered.
"Hey,...Mark," Rainey spoke. "Why don't you give Blake a hand, huh? Get Pete laid to rest. Bring the steer in. It's an important job, son."
"Okay, let's go find us some apes." Reeves replied.
The human group rode into the woods, leading up to the mountain riding their horses on the trail. Jess looked around, noticing that it was deadly quiet. Not a sound. Not even a bird chirping or an deer running by.
"We're getting close," Reeves told the group. "Ya'll better be ready."
"Willits," Jess spoke. "What do you know about these apes?"
"Know? I know they'll rip you in two. I'll tell you this though," Willits replied. "They go down with a head shot. Anything else, you better empty that clip."
"But if we hit 'em hard." Jess said. "They'll run, right? Just leave?"
"Run? No. If we met up with 'em." Willits told her. "We're in for a nasty fight."
"You wanna know what to do if one of 'em grabs you?" Reeves asked.
"Let me guess, Reeves," Jess sighed. "Kiss your ass goodbye?"
Reeves laughed. "Something like that."
Many eyes stared at the humans from above as the rode past. The apes watched them, silently, waiting for their leaders orders. To Bryn's shock, he saw Juno further down near the humans. The branch that he was standing on, gave away and snapped. Juno fell on the ground, startling the human group. Bryn was about to jump down just as they were about to shoot his brother. Bryn heard his father give out a loud roar, telling the apes to attack. Many began to surround the humans as they charged at them. Juno quickly scurried away while the group was distracted, running over to Bryn.
The human party began firing at the apes as they came at them. Jess saw an ape climbing a tree and quickly aimed her gun at him. She hesitated as she tried to squeeze the trigger. Shoot! She saw the ape look at her as his eyes widened. Jess bit her lip, as she saw the ape staring back at her. She cursed as the lowering her gun until she heard a loud roar coming towards her. Jess quickly looked up and saw a large gorilla darting straight at her. She quickly held up gun up to fire, but was too as the gorilla smashed right into her horse, knocking Jess off of it. Jess fell on the ground. She sat up and quickly looked around for her gun, seeing it lying a few feet away from her. She quickly scrambled over and grabbed it, picking it back up.
As she looked up, her eyes met with an older ape with greying hair, glaring down at her as he towered over her. Jess fell back, aiming her gun at him. He slowly began to approach her.
"S-Stay back! I don't want to shoot you!" Jess cried out. The ape frowned as he stared at her, stopping in his tracks. Willits and Reeves quickly turned their horses around, seeing the ape and Jess on the ground. They both fired at the ape while also trying to shoot at the apes above them. More apes came firing at the humans, trying to outnumber them. Jess saw the ape quickly sprint away, escaping. Rainey ran over, pulling Jess back on her feet again.
"Fall back! We'll cover you!" Willits shouted.
"Rainey, fall back! They got us covered!" Jess called out.
"We gotta find the horses!" Rainey shouted.
The rest of the party ran while the two ape hunters held back the apes shooting at them. Jess and Rainey hopped back onto their horses and rode away and the ape hunters followed them. The group stopped near the edge of the woods, noticing that the apes had stopped chasing after them.
 "What happened?" Jess asked.
"They attacked us," Rainey frowned. "And they ran off."
"We beat 'em."  Reeves said.
"Yeah, maybe." Willits replied.
"We should get the hell outta here." Jess said to them.
The apes ran as they were heading back towards the mountain. Khan was riding on Brutus's back. The older ape groaned as he held his wound. "Stop,...here." Khan groaned, weakly. Brutus stopped and gently pulled Khan off of him, lying him down on a flat rock, resting his body against it. Bryn stopped and he turned around, seeing his father.
"Father! The camp is close," Bryn spoke. "We can still..."
"My sons, listen to me," Khan told them and slowly began to sign. Bryn, Tola, and Juno slowly approached their father. "Humans know we are here. Now they will come for us." He turned to Tola.
"You must keep the tribe safe," He signed to him. "Tola...as oldest, you will lead."
"Father-rest!" Bryn shook his head. "You lead us still..." Juno made a worried hoot as he slowly touched at the gunshot wounds on Khans chest. He quickly started to look around until he found some herbs that would stop the bleeding and pressed it against the wound, to get the bleeding to stop. Khan let out a painful hiss. Juno stopped and pulled away. Khan turned to him, shaking his head. Dread began to overwhelm Bryn as he felt his heart stop in his chest, realizing. Their father had lost too much blood. He wasn't going to make it. Juno's eyes widened.
"F-Father..."
"Listen to Clarence," Khan struggled as he told them. "Take his...advice." He looked up to Bryn. "Keep Juno safe."
"I will protect Juno." Bryn replied signing back to him.
"Remember," Their father looked at the three brothers. "...Family is all."
Bryn felt his eyes starting to sting hearing their father's last words. He slowly signed back to him.
"Family is all."
Bryn saw his father take his last breath and his eyes rolled back before he no longer moved.
"Father!" Bryn cried out.
"Father, please!" Juno hooted sadly as he reached over, trying to shake their father. Bryn placed his hand on Juno's shoulder, comforting him as he held his younger brother in his arms as he cried. From the corner of Bryn's eye, he saw Tola stood silently beside him as he looked down at their father.
His eyes had darkness in them, clouded with anger.
The human party back at the compound, meeting up with Mark and Maria along with several of the townspeople. Maria ran over to them. "What the hell happened?" She asked.
"We found the apes alright," Jess told her. "Tracked them straight into an ambush."
"Where's Isaac?" Maria asked.
"I'm sorry," Jess told her. "Isaac didn't make it."
"Two dead in twenty-four hours?" Maria's mouth dropped in disbelief. "God, Jess."
"I know and they're still out there," Jess said. "But for now, we have to take care of everyone here."
"Jess!" Rainey shouted. "We got to start protecting ourselves-and fast. Get people to look for ways that apes could break into this town."
"Okay," Jess nodded. "We'll get people to help. But we have to take precautions."
"Alright." Rainey replied.
"Jess, you gotta get this town safe again," Willits said. "Now, it could be Oswald and I help you with that."
"I thought you might have ideas," Jess said to him. "Let's hear them."
"Look, when the apes find you, and they will find you, they're gonna come after you," Willits explained as he told her. "So, unless you got guns on these walls- and I do mean all these walls. It's just a matter of time before they're in here."
"Okay but hang on. We can't just hole up in here, waiting," Rainey replied. "We need to send out patrols."
"Willits is right." Jess said. "We have to keep Millerton safe. Guns on the walls."
"God damn it, Jess," Rainey frowned. "What about our food? We got corn and beets out there to be harvest. My cattle, all out there. We're just sitting in here, waiting."
"Securing Millerton is a priority," She told him. "We take care of our people."
"It's a good decision, Jess." Willits smiled at her.
"You two thinking you'll stay?" Jess asked him.
"You got some good people in this town. Hate to see things go wrong," Willits replied. "Yeah, I think we'll stay."
"Sure." Reeves said. "And in the meantime, we'll go outside and...check out ways them apes can maybe get in here."
"What can I do?" Mark asked. Jess looked up and Mark followed her gaze, seeing her look at the watch tower.
"I want you on lookout." She answered.
The apes returned home to the tribe. Brutus held Khan solemnly his arms as he carried the fallen leader, up to the throne. He laid Khan down and closed the apes eyes walking away. Tola walked over to his father, looking down at him in grief. Oaka ran up the stairs, hearing what had happened and rushed over to Bryn, seeing her husband standing in the corner. His wife comforted him as she hugged Bryn and Bryn held her in his arms, hugging her back. He glanced over at his father and Tola, seeing his older brother, standing over him silently. He was Tola turn around as he set his sights on Juno. He growled as he stormed over. "You...did...this!" Tola snarled.
Juno whimpered as he held his hand out. Tola grabbed Juno's arm in a tight grip and began to twist it harshly. Bryn's and his wife's eyes widened in shock, along with Clarence. Juno let a blood curdling scream, hollering in pain. He glanced over at Bryn, for help. "Tola! Stop!" Bryn shouted as he ran over, pulling Tola off of Juno. Tola shrugged Bryn off of him. He turned around and narrowed his eyes at Bryn, angrily. Bryn stared back at him, silently. He was also nervous as well. "This is wrong."
"Tola," His wife spoke as she signed to him. She walked over standing beside Bryn. "Ape not fight ape."
"Oaka is right." Bryn agreed signing with her. "We must not fight amongst ourselves."
Tola glared angrily at him. "You dare tell me what the tribe needs!?"
"No, Tola...listen to Oaka." Bryn answered. "You are wrong."
"No-you must control her," Tola growled. He stepped over to the two. "You are weak, brother." Oaka stepped up with a look of challenge in her eyes. Bryn held her back.
"Oaka," He told her. "Enough! You must stop. We are done here."
A low angry bark filled the air and everyone turned to see Clarence. He frowned as he hopped down from his spot beside Khan, slowly walking over to the two brothers.
"Your father is not yet cold," Clarence signed to the two. "Did you listen to nothing he taught you?"
"I am sorry," Bryn signed to the orangutan. "Forgive us, Clarence."
"Khan was a great leader. We all feel his loss. But do not be ruled by your anger." Clarence replied, signing.
"What do you know about anger?!" Tola glared, furiously.
"We all feel anger at humans," Oaka replied, signing. "We all grieve. But Tola, anger will not keep tribe safe."
"My wife is right, Tola. The tribe looks to you now," Bryn told him, signing as well. "And you must lead us."
"I will lead," Tola growled. "And I will make the humans pay in blood, for what they have done." He walked away, signaling the gorilla to follow him. "Brutus!"
Bryn and Oaka watched in concern as the they saw Tola leave along with the large gorilla.
Back at the compound, Jess walked inside the armory, looking for Rainey, seeing him as he pulled out a machine gun, setting it on the table. He was opening more boxes that had more bigger guns. "Rainey-what the hell?" Jess exclaimed.
"Face it, Jess," He told her. "We've been firing peashooters at those damn apes! Some of them had goddamn assault rifles, for Christ's sake!"
"Wait a second, Rainey," Jess said. "You're handing these out? To the whole compound? It's overkill."
"Better safe than dead," He replied. "Especially, if we to go after them right where they live."
"We're not going anywhere," Jess shook her head. "Not for now."
"This is war, Jess! We don't have a damn choice here!" Rainey shouted. "It's kill them-or they are gonna kill us."
"No." Jess slammed the lid down. "We do have a choice. No one wants more bloodshed."
"So, we just sit back, and we wait for them?" He asked her. "That your plan?"
"The apes attacked us because we attacked them." Jess told him. "Can't you see that?! I think first, we calm people down, strengthen the defenses. And yes, break out the heavy stuff. But get it up on the walls! They come; they shoot. We shoot back. We don't go looking for trouble, you got that?"
"Here," Rainey sighed. He pulled an assault gun from the case, holding it out to her. "At least carry a decent weapon."
"No." Jess refused. "Fewer of those out there, the better."
"Alright, it's your call," He replied. "But, God, if you're wrong, Jess, and they come for us..."
"If I'm wrong, we fight them off," She answered. "And we follow them back into the forest. We find their camp and then we'll hunt them down like rats."
Later on that night, the apes held a funeral for their fallen leader. Juno walked over a torch and handed it over to Bryn. He took it from him and passed it to Tola. The older brother walked over and lit the boat with their father's body on it. Tola began pushing it into the water and the flames began to grow, completely engulfing Khan's body. The current took their father along with it drifting away.
Tola turned back towards the tribe, who were looking on sadly. "Khan is dead! Tola is leader now!" He declared as he shouted to the tribe. Several apes hooted joining him. Bryn watched his father as his body sailed away.
"Goodbye," Bryn signed. "Father." Oaka stood beside him as she leaned her head against him.
"Juno must be careful," Clarence walked over to two "Now-more than ever."
"I cannot always be there to protect him." Bryn replied as he signed to him.
"Tola is quick to anger." Clarence told him. "You must teach him to think, before he acts."
"Tola will never learn." Oaka signed. "Anger blinds him."
"Clarence is right," Bryn told her. "With my help. Tola can be a wise leader."
Oaka shook her head. "Tola will not listen to anyone." She turned to her husband and spoke. "You should be leader."
Bryn's eyes widened a little in surprise then shook his head. "It is not my place. I know nothing of leadership." He heard Clarence make a low hoot and looked at him. Clarence shook his head.
"Not true. You show compassion, loyalty, mercy. Bryn must show his brother," Clarence told her. "How to lead."
"Yes." Bryn said, signing. "Tola can learn to be a good leader."
"Tola wants to talk," Brutus signed as he walked over to the three. He frowned at Clarence, stopping him.  "Not you, old one." Bryn turned to his wife.
"Wait here." He told her.
Oaka nodded and she watched as she saw her husband leave as he followed Brutus. Clarence sat down beside her sadly looking the river watching the glowing fire within the distance for his fallen old friend.
Brutus led Bryn over to Tola as they walked to the throne. Tola was sitting down on it and looked up as he saw the two come in. Brutus walked away leaving the two of them alone. He sat down not too far off, silently watching.
"Why did you not want Clarence here, brother?" Bryn asked his brother.
"It is time for us to talk, to plan on what we will do," Tola told him as he signed. "Now, our father is gone. There can never be peace with humans. Never."
"You are right," Bryn told him as he signed. "But we must be careful."
"Careful?" Tola sneered. "I smell fear, brother."
"Humans now will learn to fear us." Brutus replied.
"Human blood must flow-or we dishonor father," Tola signed. "Tonight-we will lead a war party. We will kill humans-as many as we can."
"Did our father's death teach you nothing?!" Bryn frowned, angrily, signing, furiously. "We must take our time...or more apes will die."
"You will listen to me, brother!" Tola shouted. "Obey! Tonight, we kill humans! We gather our strongest warriors. Clarence come. Clarence wise."
"Clarence is no warrior." Bryn frowned in suspicion.
"We do as Tola orders," Brutus signed. "We are all warriors, now. Wise Clarence goes with us, tonight."
Tola smirked. "Much blood will flow."

[1]I am sorry if I am bothering you and if you don't like the subject I want to discuss with you, but I followed you for a while and I really like your thoughts and ideas about different matters concerning ava's demon. I just caught up with fandom drama about those leaked arts and I can't really understand why people now are soo mean to the author. Maybe it's just different cultures (in my country people are not THAT active on such matters, they are active on others) but I really don't see the
[2] the problem here: characters are aged up, it’s just some fanart drawn not by the author herself but by the colorist and it doesn’t affect the comic (in which, to my mind were raised even darker themes, than aged up porn with demons) and now people are freaked out and name it “calling out” on the child porn. I don’t really understand the matter, so, I really wanted to see your thoughts if you don’t mind. (Also I saw post that MC decided to ban those who leaked arts)
you’re not bothering me lovely, don’t you fret! and thank you, it’s nice knowing people like my thoughts and opinions on things, even though I ramble a hell of a lot about all sorts of shit :“’>
oh god though, where to even begin with the current crap raging in the tags. I’ll start off by saying I probably only contain surface level knowledge of the situation because I think the whole things ridiculous and haven’t delved very deep into it because of that. but I do know some shit, so I’ll talk about that and explain to people why they’re being dumb (again. you’d think they’d listen the first time but nope!)
to start off with, why are people being mean to Michelle? cause they’ve got no lives. like, I’d sugar coat it, but that’s it. some people like to think they’re better than others by spreading false information around and gaining a following who boost their egos, making them feel better and superior over those they’re bullying. you can try and feed me crap like how they’re trying to protect minors against a paedophile but if you really wanted to protect anyone, you wouldn’t leak pornographic images from a locked website and post them on a website where minors are present and could be exposed to the images.
do I even need to mention that if you wanted to actually protect children against a paedophile, you wouldn’t make such a big hullabaloo about it? I’ve done safeguarding before, the whole fucking point is that you’re trying to protect the child so you gotta keep shit on the down low, like you don’t go fucking telling everybody about it, you keep shit discreet, you contact the right people, and you get it sorted with as little fuss as possible for the safety and protection of the child.
obviously the people in these tags don’t get that and just like screaming nasty words at someone who draws art for a living, like I bet these fuckwits go over to old ladies houses and stomp on their fucking flowers n shit man.
I digress.
from what I understand, some 17y/o knob jockey wanted in on the patreon, but hello, the nsfw patreon tier is for 18+ only (ya know, the same way porn sites and other websites containing adult content are) and so this lil shitbag badgered their friend until their mate showed them the art which the shitbag later leaked.
like…… man, where do I even begin, what even is there to say anymore? they wanted to see that shit and when they were told no they got petty and found a way to leak the art. and they’ve started this whole fucking shitstorm about child porn, and like…….. can you IMAGINE going out onto the fucking street and telling someone casually “oh yeah, this artist I like has this website where they post art and I wasn’t allowed to see it so I found a way to steal one of their artworks to leak it and claim it as child porn” like….. you’d think they were off their fucking rocker, what kind of insane shit ??
it ain’t child porn, plain and fucking simple. I’ve seen the artwork and it ain’t. Pedri’s a big fucking lad, he’s a giant fucking ALIEN and Ava is a short human gal. like ???? my man, I don’t even KNOW what to say. it’s not child porn, Ava isn’t drawn as a fucking child, it doesn’t MATTER that she’s currently 15 in the comic because she’s not drawn as a child in the nsfw artwork, it’s !!! it’s literally driving me up the fucking wall that people can’t understand that??
just…… ya know what makes child porn child porn? it’s images or videos showcasing young children being sexually abused and raped. and that is fucking disgusting, the fact content like that exists makes me sick to my fucking stomach.
this artwork? not child porn. it’s a rough sketch, rough lines digitally drawn on a digital canvas, of a fictional alien man who is a literal long legged giant and a short woman who has been appropriately depicted as being an adult.
if this sketch got lined and coloured and suddenly Ava looked like a hairless mole rat and her body size suddenly shrunk to look like a toddlers and the pair of hanging tiddies she got fell off, THEN I’d have reason to be concerned. as it stands? people are fuckwits and need to hop over to specsavers and get their eyes looked at cause I dunno WHAT they’re fucking seeing to make them think this is fucking child porn, the dirty fucking cunts.
ALSO, a point about Ava being short…… there’s artwork on the patreon of Nevy holding up Ava, like it’s an innocent pic, no sex or nanc, it’s just Nevy holding Ava so they’re at eye level, and Ava’s such a lil shortarse that Nevy is holding her up off the ground. her feet don’t even touch the floor she’s such a lil shorty, my fucking god.
so, in all, in conclusion….. I think people are being super fucking dumb and I think people need to get a better fucking grip on reality because if they think that’s child porn then they ain’t got a fucking clue what child porn is, and I can’t even say nanc else cause I hope no one ever has to witness child abuse in that form, and anyone who willingly engages in that content should be fucking locked up or worse.
anyone in this damn fandom who screams paedo or child porn needs to grow the fuck up and understand that they’re being massive fucking wankers, and that’s the end of that.
