the problem is that being single is seen as the consolidation prize, and not the natural neutral state of being-a-person. at the end of the movie or the book or the poetry, there is a person waiting for you at the altar, and they love you. if the play is a comedy, everyone gets married. the metaphor is about how you are not-whole. the metaphor is about how everyone is going to be happily-ever-after. the metaphor is that romantic love is the most important resource on the planet, not just all-love. all-love is not a thing, that is a disappointment. the treasure is not the friends we made along the way. the treasure is the girl you landed.
the metaphor is that you cannot be alone, that means you are broken. are you getting over someone? that is acceptable, you can be getting over someone, but not for long. you must be single because you would rather not be single. you must be single and looking to not-be-single. you must want to date, eventually.
friendship and community are never seen as being equal-to or even-better than romantic connection. that person is your one! you need to find them. you need to hunt through the sand particles until you can shift out some kind of gem. this is regardless to your own experience of the beach and the sun. you need to be somewhere with someone.
if you are taking this time alone to heal, that is so sad. everyone gives you this little pitying look. the understanding is that you are not actually happier than you were before you were single. it is seen as a sort of pity - oh, you are choosing yourself, making yourself the priority? - that isn't quite right. you must mean that you are making yourself ready for the right person. you are just laying the bed better this time. open up your heart. you'll find them, we promise!
what do you mean you're really-truly genuinely-very happy? you are probably misremembering what it was like to be in a relationship. and besides, once you meet your person, that time will look grey and bland and wasted. your person is the only way for you to see in color. so what if you have taken this time - for the first time in your entire life - to actually-for-real do the fucking work. you can be proud of yourself, sure. but the way we need to know that you got better is that you get a partner. you're healed enough for the next bad part!
people don't choose to be single, they just say they're choosing to be single - they actually mean "nobody wants to date me." it doesn't matter how many people you have gently rejected or how many times you've talked it over carefully in therapy. what matters is that you are single, and by all accounts - that means you are something worth our pity. your successes and life all seem pale in the sunlight. sure, you have done amazing things and finally found your way in life. what matters is that there wasn't a person in the room with you while you did it.
you want to tell them - that's the whole thing. i didn't know how to be alone in the room. i didn't know how to handle the silence. every moment was so sharp, and i kept choosing the wrong way to close the door. i have spent my entire life in the empty well, living in the ricochet of someone else's cruelty. for once i have built myself a ladder. for once everything i taste is all mine, every bite of sunshine and laughter. i have learned how to sleep out in the open with my memories. recently, they have started to purr.
your father rolls his eyes. listen. this isn't about you. i just want a grandchild in my future.

Guilty Pleasure
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Mommy kink, Degrading, Praising, Use of the word "slut”, Strap-on usage (R receiving), Overstimulation (Kinda), Dumbification, After care
Word Count: 1,562
Authors Note: You have to imagine pre-death, endgame Natasha for this because that's who I thought of. (totally not my girlfriend who's totally not the one that made me wanna write this.)
Tumblr media
Your sex life with Natasha was very vanilla, sickeningly vanilla. Hours of fantasies of woman had curated in your head over the span of your relationship with her. You knew if you brought it up with her she wouldn't judge you at all for wanting to spice things up, but still something had stopped you time and time again, when it came to talking to her about the matter.
Today you determined to talk with her, you made her favorite meal, set the table oh so beautifully, dressed up, and then it led you to where you sat now. All dolled up at the dining table waiting for your wife to return home from a days work as an Avenger.
As thoughts of the woman filled your mind, they were interrupted by the sound of keys fumbling with the lock. "Sweetheart, I'm home!" Natasha shouted as she stepped through the door, her tone going softer as she noticed your presence at the table. "Well hello, sweet girl. What's all this?" She giggled.
"I made your favorite food Natty." You said cheerfully, as you stood to greet your wife with a kiss. "Did you murder someone?" She asked half jokingly. "No I only wanted to treat you." You lied. "That's very sweet of you dear, thank you." She placed a soft kiss on your lips, before walking off to take her shoes off.
"Let me go change into some comfier clothes, then I'll be right back." She said, earning a small nod of your head from you. You nervously made your way back to the table, sitting down, and making sure everything was perfect in the process.
"I'm back!" Nat walked in, a tight black shirt hugging her body perfectly, along with her grey sweatpants, causing you to lick your lips discreetly.
"Baby, this food is wonderful, but I have to ask... is there some special occasion I'm missing?" Natasha asked with the raise of her brow. "No, I actually just wanted to discuss something with you." Natasha's expression seemed to have a little worry, which you quickly shut that down.
"I've been thinking a lot recently, about you, us. I-" You paused for a moment, trying to find the words as to not seem so desperate even though you very much were. "I've been wanting to spice up our sex life recently. I know that sounds really stupid, because I love what you give me and I don't want to seem like I'm not satisfied with you, I just want to try new things." You rambled on before Natasha stopped you.
"Baby, that's it's not stupid. I've been thinking the same. Though I didn't have plans to make such a big amazing meal to ask." She joked, making you laugh. "Why don't we try tonight? Tell me what you want baby." Blush crept on your cheeks as you thought back to all the things you've thought about.
"Well, I've really wanted to try out that strap we bought, and I don't want to be gentle all the time. I want you to be rougher with me, and... I think I want to call you mommy." A small groan came from Natasha at your confession. "I also want you to use harsher names for me, degrading words."
Without saying a word, Natasha tore you from your seat and brought you to your room. She pushed you back onto the bed, her lips colliding with yours. Your tongue tangled with her, and your hands found place in her hair. "Are you sure you want this? I want you to feel comfortable with me." You nod, "Please Nat, I need this."
She smirked, "Is that what you call me?" Your expression was one of confusion, until you got what she meant. "Mommy.." Natasha smiled, "What a smart girl you are."
She removed herself from the spot on top of you, rummaging around for the strap she'd kept stored for so long. "Take off your clothes while I get this on, sweetheart." The name Nat had used on you many of times, now felt completely different.
Once your clothes were off you waited patiently at the edge of the bed for Natasha to attach the harness to her hips. "There we go, can you lay back for mommy, baby?" You scooted your body back as you laid down for her.
Her soft hands gripped your thighs spreading them apart. "God you're so wet, all this just from telling me about your fantasies. Why don't you tell me more pretty girl?" You felt embarrassed to admit something that you'd found a guilty pleasure in doing, but to be honest the embarrassment made you all the more excited.
"I like thinking about being on top of you, struggling to keep getting myself off on you without your help. Or having you tell me to keep taking you." Natasha tugged her lip between her teeth, concealing the moan she almost let escape, because of your confession.
"My god, who knew my wife was such a slut." She said, watching closely for your reaction to the word. Your face was a mix of shock and enjoyment, the whimper that came from you told her all she needed to know.
"Let mommy fuck this pretty, wet pussy." Her lips connected with yours, as the tip of the toy collided with your pussy. She slowly slipped it in you, as to not hurt you. Though it didn't really matter, you'd not be spared from her upcoming assault.
Small whimpers came from you as she stretched you out. "Mommy, it hurts." Your hands hastily gripped onto her shoulders, "Shh take it like a good girl, can you do that for mommy?" You nod.
Natasha's pace quickly fastened, her hips snapping against yours. You weren't sure how long you'd be able to hold your orgasm due to the pleasure you were feeling. "M-mommy, it feels s'good." Natasha smiled at your messy pronunciation of such simple words. "Keep that pretty little mouth shut, let me do all the work. Don't you think a thought unless it's about me."
After a while of your current acts, Natasha knew you were close. "Don't cum yet, hold it." You whined, "Mm I can't, feels s'good." Suddenly you were flipped to where you sat upon Natasha's lap, her hands resting on your hips.
"If you're gonna act like a needy little slut, you're gonna have to earn to cum like one." Your puzzled, disappointed eyes almost made Nat give in. "Cmon get to work."
Your weak legs tried their best to lift your body, trying your hardest to get your high. Natasha's lips came in contact with your neck, licking and sucking tender spots. leaving small purple blemishes on your skin.
Her tongue grazed your hardened nipples softly, before sucking harshly on the bud. Your nails dug into her shoulders, and your head lolled next to hers. Your lips parted next to her, small whimpers and gasp filled her ears.
"Cmon baby you can do better than this, can't you? Or are you such a dumbed down whore that you need mommy to take control, hm?" Her words honestly made you even more dumb, you couldn't even respond but just moan. "That's not an answer, if you want something you have to use your words baby."
After a bit, you were able to gather the strength to get more than just whimpers out. "Pl-please, mommy. I need you, can't cum without mommy." She smiled, "What a good girl you are! Now relax baby, let mommy take over." Her thrust up into you filled a much needed gap of pleasure, and your struggled finally paid off.
It didn't take much effort to finally get you to cum, and when you did it was like no orgasm before. You felt as if you were floating on clouds, and that you could reach out and grab the stars that blurred your vision.
Before you knew it, you were waking up to Natasha running a hot bath for you. "Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling?" She asked as she pushed your ruffled, sweaty hair off your forehead. "'M tired." You said honestly.
"Well let me get you all cleaned up, then we'll get you into bed." She said as she gently scooped you up and carried you to the warm bath, which consisted of Natasha washing your hair for you which you loved, her gently cleaning your sweat slicked body with a soft cloth and your favorite soap.
She helped hold you steady as she got you out of the tub, and got you fresh new pajamas on. "There we go sweetheart, now let's get you into bed."
She laid down, then pulled you into her arms. Wrapping them gently around your tired body, placing a soft kiss on your forehead. Your head shifted down to play upon her chest, the sound of her heart beat relaxing you even more.
"You did so good for me sweet girl." She whispered softly to you. "Thank you, mommy." She smiled at you still using the titled for her, which she was sure you weren't even aware you had used it, and you weren't.
Not before long, you had dozed off. Natasha gently rubbed your back as she watched, whatever she had playing on the tv. The acts of earlier replaying through her mind.

Pairings: Knight!Natasha Romanoff x Princess!Reader
Summary: How Natasha proposed to you.
Word Count: 2.2k
Warnings: None— just fluff!
Author’s Note: This is a mini-oneshot to my fic “Soulmates”. I’d recommend reading that one before this for context to be able to grasp the storyline!
Mini-oneshots: Promise
Tumblr media
"What is it that you wanted to talk to us about, Natasha?" your father asked as he looked at the redhead from across the table.
The knight had requested a meeting with your parents, though it wasn't about the kingdoms royal guard as you were told.
It was about you.
Natasha didn't want to lie, but she needed to come up with an excuse to not raise any suspicions from you. And a meeting with the King and Queen about the royal guard seemed perfect.
"I actually wanted to speak to you about Y/n." the knight said.
Your parents eyebrows raised at that. "What’s going on? Is everything okay?" your mother said.
"Oh everything's fine. Perfect actually." Natasha was quick to reassure them. "I just had a thought and I wanted to run it by both of you before I go through with it."
They nodded their heads and Natasha took it as her go-ahead to continue.
"I want to ask Y/n to marry me, and I wanted your permission to do so." she said.
It was silent for a few moments before the biggest grins pulled at their lips.
"Of course you have our permission, Natasha. Did you think we'd say no after all these years?" your mother laughed and stood from her seat to pull your girlfriend in for a hug.
Natasha smiled happily, "I was counting on you saying yes, but if I was going to do this I wanted to do it right."
Your father stood up and made his way over to the redhead to give her a quick hug as well, "We appreciate it, Natasha, but we knew you'd end up tying the knot sooner or later and we love you so of course it's okay."
"Did you need help with anything? We're happy to help with whatever you need." your mother said.
The redhead already had an idea in mind for a while, so she was hoping you'd like it.
“I was thinking…”
~ ~ ~
"Nat, where are you taking me?" you giggled.
You took cautious steps as Natasha walked behind you with her hands covering your eyes, carefully guiding you to some unknown location while also making sure the path ahead of you was safe.
"Hold on, we're almost there." she chuckled at your impatience.
This was second time you had asked that to the knight even though she said it was a secret the first time the question left your mouth.
It was a quiet night in the castle before Natasha came to you. Both of your families had gone to bed, and most of the staff had already clocked out for the exception of a few guards who were taking their positions for the night shift.
You were winding down in bed, catching up on some reading you'd been too busy to do during the day when the redhead peeked her head into your bedroom to make sure you were still awake.
To her excitement you were, so she took the book out of your hands and made sure to bookmark your place. Ignoring the complaints from you Natasha took your hands into hers and dragged you from the comfort of your shared bed to lead you outside.
Which brings you to now.
Blindly walking down a path with Natasha to direct you. You'd tripped over your own feet twice, but of course your girlfriend caught you before any real damage could happen.
"Okay we're here. Are you ready?" Natasha asked as she stopped you both in your tracks.
Her question made you laugh, "Well you did bring me out here against my will, so do I really have a choice?"
"Nope" she said simply before taking her hands away from your eyes and fixing her stance behind you so she could watch your face.
You had to blink a few times for your eyes to adjust, but when they finally focused your face softened at the sight. You now knew that you were in the castle gardens, but in front of you was a picnic the redheaded knight had set up for the two of you.
There was a blanket on the ground with lanterns and candles scattered around for warm lighting. There were multiple baskets of food sat on top along with a bottle of what you assumed to be wine.
The amazed look on your face was enough for the knight to feel proud of herself.
"What all of this?" you smiled and turned your head to look at her only for that same smile to be mirrored on her face too.
"It's for you, my love."
"What for? Is there something happening today? What did I forget—"
"Relax, princess." Natasha chuckled and stepped in front of you so you could now be face to face. "You didn't forget anything. I just thought we could spend a little time together. You know, just me and you. Away from everyone else."
In that moment you didn't know what you did to deserve the redhead, you were speechless. But as you pondered about it for a second you came to the conclusion that you just didn't deserve her.
"I love you," you whispered.
If Natasha wasn't standing as close to you as she was she wouldn't of heard you. But your words brought a soft smile to the knights face as she looked at you.
She ran a hand over your hair to smooth down the fly aways and leaned in to press her lips to your forehead.
"I love you more," she said, "Now let's get to the food before the bugs beat us there."
You giggled as her hand found its place in yours and the redheaded led you over to the blanket where you both sat down. When you began looking through the baskets to see the options Natasha must've noticed the impressed look on your face that had formed.
"I asked your mom to show me how to make some of your favorites because I know I'm not the best cook, so I hope it tastes alright."
The food tasted amazing, but you didn't expect anything less from your girlfriend to begin with. The two of you talked about everything as you enjoyed each other’s company.
You’d finished the food, took a walk around the garden, and Natasha had spun you in a dance that probably would have looked silly to anyone else because of the way you were both laughing.
By the time you two sat back down and started to get comfy on the blanket it was probably well past midnight.
And you didn’t mind one bit.
The stars were out twinkling and the crickets were chirping, but time always seemed to fly whenever you were with the redhead.
“It’s so quiet out here,” you sighed as you laid your head on the knights shoulder and curled up to her. “I don’t think I’ve ever been out here this late at night before, but I like it.”
“I knew you would.” Natasha put her arm around you and pecked the side of your head, “I know things have been busy recently and you’ve been stressed with all the kingdoms nobles practically breathing down your neck, so I thought some alone time would be good for us.”
You smiled at her and lifted your head to kiss her cheek, “Thank you, Nat. You’ve had a lot on your plate too lately so thank you for doing this.”
“You don’t have to thank me, princess. You know I’d do anything for you.” she said and you leaned in press your lips in a soft kiss. “But I wasn’t a hundred percent honest with my reason for bringing you all the way out here.”
You tilted your head with a slight furrow between my eyebrows, “What do you mean?”
“Yelena always teased me for the crush I had on you when we were younger. My mom called us soulmates when she thought I wasn’t listening and I didn’t understand it at the time, but now I do.” Natasha said, and her voice was so soft the sound made your heart melt.
“There’s nothing about you that I don’t absolutely adore. The way you look out for the people you love. The way you always know what to say to make me feel better. The way you put everyone else’s needs before your own, so much that you forget to take care of yourself too.” she chuckled and it made you giggle.
“But that’s what I’m here for. To take care of you when you forget to. Whenever you need a break from your stresses I’ll sneak you away like how I did tonight because it’s least you deserve.” The redhead’s hand reached to cup the side of your face.
You let yourself lean into her touch as she brushed your hair behind your ear and her thumb stroked your cheek. She was turning you to putty in the palm of her hand, leaving you speechless at her words.
“Oh, Nat. I don’t know what to say, you’re gonna make me cry.” you chuckled and blinked away the tears that were forming as she just gazed at you.
Even when you were on the verge of tears Natasha still thought you were the most beautiful person to exist.
“You don’t have to say anything, my love, because I’m not done yet.” she said and you nodded for her to continue. “We’ve known eachother our entire lives and I know there was never a time where I didn’t love you, even when we were just little kids who didn’t know what it meant.”
The knight untangled herself from your arms to reach into her pocket, “I loved you then, I love you now, and this is my promise that I’ll love you forever.”
You watched as Natasha shifted to kneel on one knee in front of you as she pulled out a tiny black box. When she opened it, a delicate gold band with a shining gemstone placed sophisticatedly on top was revealed.
“So please say that you’ll spend the rest of forever with me, but as my wife. Will you marry me, Y/n?”
At this point, the tears that had been building up in your eyes since the redhead started talking were now falling freely down your cheeks. Natasha wasn’t doing any better, though. You could see her eyes watering as they took on a glossy appearance.
A vigorous nod of your head was all you could give at first with the way you were crying, “Yes,” you barely got out as your voice broke, “Yes of course I’ll marry you, Natasha.”
The wind was knocked out of the knights lungs and she almost lost her balance when you lunged forward to hug her close to you. She returned the embrace once she regained her footing, finally letting the few tears escape her eyes.
When you pulled back you connected your lips and kissed her as if it was the first time all over again. It caught Natasha off guard, but she wasted no time in reciprocating.
You separated when air became a necessity, the only sound heard was the heavy breathing as you tried to catch your breath. Your foreheads rested against each others and you both broke out into a fit of laughter at the pure happiness you felt.
Natasha was the first speak up, “You didn’t even let me put the ring on you.” she chuckled.
“Oh, Nat,” your hand came up to tuck a few of her stray red hairs away so you could see her face clearly, “The ring is beautiful, but I didn’t need one to agree to marry you. I would’ve said yes even if you had nothing because all I want is you.”
She kissed your lips again before taking the tiny piece of jewelry out of the box, “I know, but you at least deserve to have a ring on that finger of yours so let me put it where it belongs.”
The redhead took your left hand into hers and slid the ring into your finger, “There, now you’re stuck with me for forever.”
“Happily,” you said and you both laughed, taking a moment to admire it.
Of course Natasha had it sized perfectly.
“Oh, and I almost forgot I found this in the garden during our walk,” you watched the knight reach into her pocket before holding out the contents in front of you.
It was a flower. A yellow flower to be more specific.
One that was nearly identical to the yellow flower Natasha had picked when you were younger
She reached up and delicately placed it in your hair, “When I first proposed to you with this flower in these gardens, I think I understood what I was doing even though we were just kids.”
Grinning, you began leaning closer to the redhead, “And I’m pretty sure I understood what I was doing when I said yes.” you connected your lips once your noses were touching and wrapped your arms around her shoulders to keep her close.
You both knew you’d have to eventually go inside and deal with the responsibilities of tomorrow, but that all could wait.
For now, everything was perfect, and you were the happiest you’d ever been.

Surprise
Natasha Romanoff x fem!Reader
Warnings: fighting, being drunk, mention of homophobia, mention of deceased parents, angst with a happy end
Words: 3.5k
Summary: You wanted to surprise your girlfriend but instead you were the one that got surprised.
A/N: Here it is: the Angst with a happy ending one shot as the majority of you voted for! Btw I did not proof read it so be aware.
Flying wasn't your thing; sitting for hours in a thing that is high in the air with nothing to do but to sleep, eat, watch or read something. And airplane was a capsule of boredom to you, that was why you'd never fly unless you had to. Unfortunately you had to fly for your job since it required you to fly overseas from time to time. This time you had a 15 hour flight back home, itching to not only to see your girlfriend Natasha but also to surprise her, your supposed flight was scheduled for only three days later and when you were given the go to fly back earlier you took the chance and told her nothing about it. You hadn't seen her in weeks so you were extra excited to see her again.
The uber stopped in front of your apartment complex, as you got your things out of the trunk you thanked them for the pleasant ride and wished them a good day. You were quick to arrive at your door, the apartment was one on the top floors, before unlocking it with the your key. The smile on your face vanished when you saw Natasha standing there with three people you had never met before. Your mood became a little sour as you didn't like that your surprise didn't go as you had planned. "Who are you?" You asked confused as nobody including your girlfriend made a move to introduce each other.
They stared at you with critical eyes, sizing you up and down as if you were a criminal or some other threat. The younger woman with blonde hair spoke up first. "Her family." Your heart stilled for a second thinking of meeting her family like this wasn't great but you dismissed everything quickly because you remembered that her family was dead. "No, that can't be. Her family died when she was young." You looked confused at Nat, then back at those strangers again. When nobody responded you got a bit anxious, Natasha wouldn't have lied about that right?
The man spoke up next, bringing you out of your head of spiraling thoughts. "Who are you?" But before you could answer that question happily, the other woman gave her thoughts to the situation. "She's most likely the roommate Natasha always talked about." Roommate. You whirled your head towards your red headed lover, looking baffled at her already guilty expression, pain appeared in your heart and you swore that nothing cut you as deep as the statement along with her silence and facial expression. You pursed your lips to hide how much she hurt you, it would be too embarrassing to throw a fit in front of her family. Natasha opened her mouth but before she got to speak you jumped in. "I just had a 15 hour flight and all I wanna do is take a shower and maybe a nap afterwards. I guess I see y'all later." You said to all of them before you fetched your suitcase and disappeared into the actual guest room that the two of you had for emergencies.
In the shower you sat down and let the water fall onto you. You overthought everything you thought you knew. It was obvious that it was her family, she lied about her parent dying. Why would she do that? And if she lied about that what else did she lie about? Evidently about your relationship. The roommate Natasha constantly talked about.. That statement hurt immensely. You couldn't understand why were a roommate, not even a very good friend no, just a fucking roommate. It made you angry, especially because you loved that woman deeply and it made you wonder if she actually loved you. You also deliberate about if you could ever forgive her about this betrayal.
After the long shower, your phone started ringing the second your t-shirt hit you body. It was strange for someone to call you at this hour but when you saw it was your friend Wanda you answered without a question. You couldn't get a hello out because she was talking fast. "Open your door, there's a surprise for you!" The excitement in her voice was refreshing after all the work talk you had done overseas for days. "Wands, I don't like surprises."
"I know and I'm sorry to do this to you but this one's really worth it. Please believe me and don't hang up!" You tried to put all the faith you had left in her and walked out of the guest room as held your phone against your ear. "I won't hang up don't worry." While you passed by the open kitchen-living room to get to the door, you felt the red head's and her family's intense eyes on you. You ignore them as you opened the door and there she stood, the great Wanda Maximoff with some tickets in her hands. She practically shoved them into your hands. Only then did you hang up the phone and looked at what the tickets were. Your eyes widen in shock before you threw yourself at Wanda, hugging her happily. Natasha jealously was seething so she decided to speak. "What is your ex doing here?"
You turned around smiling at her but not as bright as you had been a second before, you still waved the tickets with joy telling her what the tickets were for. "She got me tickets for a sold out Hayley Kiyoko show!!" Natasha knew how much that meant for you since you had never seen her live even though you had tickets for three concerts at one point. You hated it so much that your job always came in between the dates, making you sell your concert tickets of the singer that was your first crush and gay awakening. This whole situation gave Natasha another pang of jealousy, she should have been the one giving you the tickets, not your damn ex.
"The lesbian Jesus?" The blonde woman whose name you still don't know asked. You nodded and saw her face breaking into a proud expression. "Since when do you know that?" Natasha asked her sister in almost an insulting tone. "Kate Bishop, where else?" After Nat narrowed her eyes the blonde explained further with a shrug. "She told me that I need to widen my horizon in pop culture." At that you turned your attention back to Wanda, minding your own business while picking up your conversation again. "I- I'm.. thank you for the tickets Wands. I truly don't know how to thank you." She smiled at your overwhelmed but giddy state. "You could take me with you?" She joked as she also pointed to the tickets. You agreed to her idea incredibly fast, maybe a bit too fast considering that you had a girlfriend you usually asked and took with you to concerts. But in that split of a moment you didn't give a shit about asking her to go with you, going with your ex sounded way better. "It - it's tomorrow already. Wait, hold on. How'd you even know that I'd be back by then?"
"Oh yeah about that.. I might have talked with Josh." She smiled sheepishly. Josh was a mutual friend but also your co-worker. But you'd never have thought that Josh would talk about your (early) return. Especially since you told him you wanted to surprise everyone. "Are you lovebirds actually coming in or stay in the doorway all night?" Alexei teased you both, you didn't how how to feel about that. You were still together with his daughter and him teasing or shipping you with your ex was beyond something you thought you'd experience. The frown on Natasha face was something you didn't miss and you actually had to bite your tongue before saying something you'd regret. To your luck, because you knew biting your tongue wouldn't help for long, your lover pipped in. "They are ex-girlfriends and not lovebirds." She stated hard. Her father continued to reason with his daughter. "Doesn't have to mean anything Tasha bear. How often did your mother and I break up and got back together hmm?"
You ignored their conversation once again, turning to the red head that stood still in the doorway you told her to wait for you. "Let me switch pants and then we go get a drink somewhere yeah? That way we can catch up and they can continue having family time uninterrupted." Natasha wanted to interject, deny you going out with Wanda when she desperately wanted to explain herself but she feared that stopping you would dig her grave with you only deeper so she let you go. When you were about to leave, Yelena and Alexei teased you both a last time. You felt a bit bad for Natasha but it all were also a part of consequences of her actions. "Don't come home too late." Was the only thing she told you. You still heard Yelena's such a mom and Alexei's don't be a cockblocker Natasha through the door.
-----------------------------
You were passed out in Wanda's arms as she carried you bridal style towards your apartment. It wasn't planned that you drank this much alcohol, but once you got a taste of it you just couldn't stop, it numbed your feelings and problems that you badly wanted to forget. Natasha was at the door quick, relieved when she saw you in Wanda's arms, she lead you both towards your bedroom watching how your ex put you on the bed gently.
"Thank you for bringing her home." She commented. The other woman only nodded before leaving fairly quickly, not wanting to be there in case you woke up which she knew was unlikely but didn't want it risk it anyways. Hungover you was something she did not want to witness ever again.
The next morning was rather midday by the time you woke up. You walked into the bathroom first, quickly peeing and splashing some water on your face before wandering to the kitchen, there you saw Natasha sitting at her kitchen counter with a coffee in one hand and her phone in the other hand. "Morning." You hummed grumpily, acknowledging her without actually talking to her. She huffed before she tried to talk to you again. "Y/N I-" Natasha started but you cut her off immediately. "I don't wanna talk."
"But I really-" Her next attempt to talk got quickly cut off by you again. "I SAID I DONT WANT TO TALK NATASHA!" You didn't yell, you simply rose your voice a bit to get your point across. She shut up afterwards. "Gosh just give me space before you ruin my day. I still have a concert to attend to." Your words and the situation cut her deep, it hurt to know this side of you - that she was the reason for bringing this out of you and inflicting (you) pain. She never wanted any of this.
-----------------------------
After the incredible amazing concert you dragged Wanda into a bar to get some well deserved fries and drinks. It didn't last long until you spilled your relationship problems and some evil thoughts you had in your head. The cruelest one was to text Nat asking her if she'd give you permission to kiss another girl during Hayley's performance of Girls Like Girls. You'd never cheat but the itch to get back at her in some way for betraying you was big.
"I know you want to hurt Natasha back a bit because of what she did but is it really worth it? Wouldn't that just truly ruin your relationship?" Wanda was concerned about your state of mind and what you might would do. She knew how rash you were in doing something when you got hurt by someone close to you. "It's hardly a relationship if it's build on lies." You stated without any emotion in your voice and expression. This only showed her that her worries were valid. "Maybe she had a good reason for it." The red head tried so hard to see the positive but of course with your mood, nothing was getting to you.
"I can't think of a single good reason of why she'd lie about her parents passing. I also came up short when I thought of a reason of her hiding our relationship. Like I'd have understood if it were the same situation as it was in our relationship, when you were a baby gay with parents who oftentimes said homophobic remarks and you being afraid to come out. But her father and sister teased us lovebirds and it seemed very genuine, they weren't homophobic." At the mention of Wanda's past, she felt the need to voice her thoughts. "I still feel like they stopped with the remarks after catching Pietro watching gay porn." You gave her a tiny sad smile. "Well either way, at least you had the decency to tell your family that we were not only very good but also very close friends. I'm just a roommate to them."
"I'm sorry." She said it genuine, without any pity or whatsoever. You nodded but also sighed at her apology. "Not your fault Wanda. Don't apologize for something that's out of reach." It was quiet between the two of you for a long moment, eating and drinking to make it less awkward before you asked her if you could crash at her place. "Of course, you're always welcome." Later, right before you went to sleep, you texted your girlfriend that you'd stay at Wanda's for the night.
-----------------------------------
When you got home the next day, Natasha was nowhere to be found, it gave you enough time to ponder if you should simply break up with her and get all your things with you, it would have been a coward move on your part and you were already cowardly enough by staging away from her the night before. You quickly changed into a new set of clothes the grabbing your headphones and went into the kitchen, getting out ingredients from the cabinets to bake something, you still needed to distract yourself before facing Natasha.
The second she entered the apartment and heard movements she knew were only yours, she stopped dead in her tracks as she wasn't expecting you to the apartment yet. She thought that you were staying at Wanda's for a while longer but since you weren't she took the chance to finally talk to you and explain herself. You were startled by the tap on your shoulder, you hadn't heard her come back with the headphones on yours ears blasting angry rock-metal music. Pausing the music and taking the headphones from your ears, you turned around to face Natasha, she had messy hair with dark circles and bags underneath her eyes. It told you that she had a sleepless night.
"I don't want to talk." You told her simply because it irritated you that she disrupted your baking time. She groaned in frustration. "But I need to talk. Y/N I want to fix my mistakes, I want to fix us." She was desperate, you heard it in her voice, but that still didn't change your mind. "Maybe the magnitude of your mistakes are too big to fix." The words you said left her stunned. With the little courage she had left she asked you the important question. "Are you breaking up with me?"
"Not yet." It came out weak, nearly matching the weak tone of the question Natasha asked second before. A bit of relieve flooded her system but she was still tense m, fearing your answer to her next question. "What's holding you back?" You weren't sure if you wanted to let her know your reasons but you ended up opening anyways. "My gut and my trust in you."
The silence that followed was nearly deafening, the redheaded woman simply was at loss of words because it felt wrong for you to still have trust in her. "I haven't shattered your trust yet?"
"Hard to believe right? Despite all your lies I still trust you.. even if it's on a thin thread." There was another couple of minutes of silence before she finally could apologize without you cutting her off. "Then let me apologize because I really have to apologize for how the other day went down. I'm sorry for lying about my parents and that I lied to them about our relationship. I didn't mean to hurt you but I did and now I have to own it up." She started before moving to sit down on a chair. "It's true that my parents died at a young age. Who you saw was my foster family, we didn't always get along which resulted in me distancing myself from them for a decade. It wasn't until we were a year deep into a relationship that we started to have contact again."
"But why lie to them about us? Your father and sister seemed pretty open about homosexuals." You asked, still confused about certain things that needed to be cleared up.
"My plan was to ease them in telling how I'm not only queer but more so a lesbian. Last time I really knew them they were homophobic so I was surprised by their remarks. I hadn't met them in person for so long, I guess they changed a lot during that time." You took your hands in hers. It was a small gesture of you supporting her in quietness. "I'm sorry detka. I should have told you a long time ago about my foster family. And also that I told them you were my roommate."
"I just don't get it. Why tell them we're roommates and not friends?" It was the question that plagued your mind. She bit her lips then shaking her head and looking everywhere but at you. "It wouldn't have been believable. I always ruined all my friendships." You squeezed her hands in hope she'd look at you again and she did even if it was only for a few seconds. "Is there anything else you lied about?"
Her eyes rose to yours, this time you could see her bare soul laying out for you. She removed her hands from yours before answered honest. "Uhh.. my job?" It was barely a second that passed by before you shrieked out her full name. "Natalia Alianovna Romanova!" She squeezed her eyes shut as her name fell from your lips like you called her satan, then she fumbled with her hands until they found yours again. With an honest look in her eyes she apologizes again. "Y/N I'm really sorry okay."
"Sorry doesn't make it better! Natasha you do realize how fucked up this is right? Especially because we talk about work at dinner every other day. Gosh." You felt sick to your stomach when you thought back at the countless of conversations you had. "If-if you're not a secretary then what exactly do you do?"
"I'm actually a SHIELD agent." She leaned closer to you when she noticed your lack of response. When you did reply it made Natasha even more nervous, anxious even, she feared that you decide to break up with her right then and there. "A SHIELD agent?" You repeated calmly, a bit too calm for your girlfriend's liking, a calm person is always one to fear during a fight, they most likely are already done with everything. "A SHIELD agent." Natasha confirmed.
"Were you going to tell me?"
"At some point." You nodded then removed your hands from hers all while you were telling her you needed to go back to baking, you turned around finished your cupcakes. Natasha stood there awkwardly, not knowing what else to tell you or where to go. When the first batch of cupcakes were done you held one in between your fingers, you walked straight up to the redhead with no expression on your face, her heart pounded so wildly that it felt like she was going to die. "As much as I hate you right now, I'm still completely and utterly in love with you." You offered her the cupcake that she gladly accepted with a small smile. "I might be an idiot for even attempting to forgive you but I can honestly see us having a great and long future together."
"I want that. The long and great future with you, I mean." She looked down and smiled shyly
"Good. But it can only happen if you won't lie to me anymore Nat. I'd rather be hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie."
"Okay."
"Okay?" She nodded. "Good. Now come here and give me a kiss."
"Can I eat my cupcake first?" She asked with a twinkle in her eyes. You shook your heard, told her 'no' before you grabbed her head and kissed her like there was no tomorrow.

Omg I cant stop wondering about the daggers meeting Mr. Right Now’s girl! How do you think that would go?
Tumblr media
Ohhhh, yes. I think Jake would be more nervous than Darlin' would about them meeting her. Since he can't take her to the bar yet, I think they would meet her at a party at his bestie Javy's place. Of course he's been telling Javy for weeks that he met this girl and he's so into her and she agreed to be his girlfriend. And Javy keeps telling him to bring her to the Hard Deck to meet everyone, but Jake never does.... so Javy would be surprised when Jake says he's bringing his girlfriend to the party.
Jake was sweating. Javy told him at work yesterday that he couldn't wait to meet this mystery girlfriend. But right now, even with some makeup and a new dress, you looked young. Like decidedly younger than all of his friends. He ran his hand over his face as he parked at Javy's.
"Let's go," you said, pulling on his hand. "I can't wait to officially meet them. I only know what Phoenix and Rooster look like from the night we met," you added with a smirk.
"Come here," Jake growled, tugging you closer to him. "Need to set some ground rules." He ran one rough palm around to the back of your neck and said, "I think you should keep your mission at the bar and your fake ID between us."
"I agree," you told him. "I won't say a word about how I originally tried to get Rooster to take me home for the night." Jake narrowed his eyes as you laughed. "Chill. I won't say anything about it!"
Now Jake just prayed his friends weren't obnoxious to you. They weren't actually too bad. Javy pulled him aside to say, "Jake... she's fucking cute as hell man, but how old is she?"
"She's twenty. She's in college."
Then he heard Nat ask you if you were aware that Jake was practically geriatric compared to you, but you responded to her by saying, "I know, but for some reason I fell in love with him. So if I have to change his hearing aid batteries in a few years, so be it." Then you and she laughed.
Perhaps the worst part was the way Bradley gave you a long, hard once over before winking at Jake. But even that didn't bug him too much when the two of you were back at his place that night, snuggled in bed.
"Did you have fun?" he asked.
"Yeah," you replied as he wrapped his arm around you.
He braced himself for the answer to his next question. "What did you think about Rooster after actually having a conversation with him?"
"Hmmm," you hummed. "He was nice. He's handsome, too. Pretty eyes. Tall. I can see why Kylie would give him a solid endorsement." Jake bristled, but you continued. "I like your green eyes better though. And I like how sweet you are. And how we're on lesson number thirty-eight with no signs of stopping."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, Jake. If I'm going to be in love with a very old man, I want it to be you."

ooo could we get a fic with Nat being forcibily quarantined due to horrendous cold which shes totally denying she has, R is assigned duty to look after her?
It's a bit short, but I hope you like it! :))
------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm not sick," your girlfriend huffed, crossing her arms and giving a congested sniffle.
"Mhmm, of course not," you agreed, pushing her gently in the direction of her suite.
"Well then why-"
"Because we are just going to spend some quality time together," you interrupted, fingers trailing down the length of her back soothingly as you walked. She didn't say anything, knowing you were just forcing her to rest and recover.
When she'd entered the kitchen that morning, things hadn't exactly gone as Natasha had planned. She'd sniffled and sneezed her way through breakfast (seventeen times to be exact), got thrown in a coughing fit, and had used up the entire box of tissues.
Tony had shouted 'Quarantine!' and well, you kind of agreed. One, you wanted nothing more than to actually care for your poor girlfriend. And two, the Avengers had a pretty big mission scheduled for the following week, and if everyone came down with what Nat had, it would not go very well. You were fine if you got sick, but the entire team was a definite no.
So, here you were, guiding your very sick girlfriend to her suite.
"So, you're not sick, but maybe we could just have a relaxing day in bed? We never get to do that anymore," you fake-whined. Nat could never say no to you and your puppy-dog eyes so she nodded, clearing her throat.
"Tea?" you asked innocently. Her eyes narrowed.
"I want something warm, but no coffee," you shrugged.
"Sure, then."
You nearly rolled your eyes. The woman was mature when it came to everything but being sick.
Her breath caught and three stifled sneezes were sent into her shoulder.
"Bless you." You had wanted to say so much more, to run over there and pull her into your arms and tell her to let them out until she had rid herself of the horrendous cold, but that wouldn't go over well, so you settled for the simple, common response.
"Thank you."
Well, at least she acknowledged that. When you'd first met Natasha, she wouldn't even acknowledge that she had sneezed.
"Tea's done," you murmured, moving over to the bed where Nat had removed the decorate pillows and made room for the two of you to relax, the bed tray up and ready for the mugs.
You climbed in next to her, barely allowing any space between the two of you. That was how you both liked it, close, protected, and warm.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," you responded softly, setting the mugs down. "What should we watch?"
"Whatever you want," Nat answered. You glanced at her, taking in the glassy eyes, red nose, dark circles under her eyes, and flushed cheeks. She'd probably fall asleep fifteen minutes in, if she let herself.
"Casablanca?"
That was never a wrong move in your girlfriend's book, and she nodded, leaning into you and pulling the covers snugly around your laps.
You'd made it five minutes into the movie before she just couldn't ignore her twitching nose anymore. She suddenly sat up and pulled herself away from you, hiding her nose behind her hands as her breath hitched.
"H'h-htsch! T'tch! Hutsshoo!"
Natasha stayed there for a moment, seemingly not quite sure if she was done. Your hand found her back, a soothing, comforting presence for her.
"n'tsch!"
"Bless you," you offered quietly.
"Thank you," she sighed, pulling a tissue from the box on her nightstand. When she settled back into you, you chewed your lower lip.
"Baby?" you whispered.
"Mmm?"
"Do you maybe not feel well?"
It was quiet for a moment. You thought she might not answer, so you tried again. "Natasha-"
"I think I may have a cold."
It was quiet, barely said, but it was enough.
"Oh, baby, let's get you better," you murmured. You pressed your lips to her temple and relief washed over you when the air around her seemed to settle as she relaxed further into you.

The sick assassin
Pairings: Natasha x you
Words: 1346
Warnings: none
Summary: after returning from a three day mission, you expect to see your girlfriend happy to see you. But that wasn’t the case, and it only takes a simple sneeze to figure out why.
Notes: Thank you bestie for the idea. @goldenempyrean
Tumblr media
If there was something you hated more than anything else in this world, it was debriefing. Above all else, debriefing with Tony Stark. It wasn't that you disliked the man. In fact, you were actually quite fond of him. But he talked. Oh man could he freaking talk. It was like his mouth moves before his brain gives him permission to do so.
No matter what cues you gave; how many times you'd try to politely interrupt him, he would pay you absolutely no mind. Often times, you'd tolerate it. He meant no harm after all. But due to the fact you were running on just two hours of sleep, your patience was wearing a little thin.
You were exhausted, and all you wanted to do was find your girlfriend so you could shower together before succumbing to dreamland.
With the knowledge that you'd be here for hours if you let him continue, you simply slide the completed mission report over to him before quietly slipping out of room. With the intention of going to find Natasha, your feet take you towards the common room where she'd typically wait for you after missions.
But much to your chagrin, she wasn't there. No one was. The room was completely empty.
"Great." You sigh heavily, deciding to head through to the kitchen to grab a drink before making any further attempts to figure out just where she'd disappeared off to.
Turns out, that wasn't necessary, because sat at the table was the woman herself. You feel whatever stress that had continue to linger leave at the sight of her. You knew she knew you were there, and because of that you expect her to beam at the sight of you before throwing herself into your arms.
But that doesn't happen. She barely even sends a glance your way. Weird.
"Nat? I'm home." You murmur like she didn't already know, setting down your bag before making your way over to her. You were tired, and you just wanted her to hold you.
Before you could even make it two steps however, she was already up and on her feet and setting her empty coffee cup into the sink. You go to smile and hold out your arms, under the assumption she'd walk into them, but she simply sends you a half hearted smile before grabbing her phone and leaving the room.
What on earth...?
Feeling a little hurt and very much confused, you follow her knowing she was heading back to your shared room. You push open the door and see her rifling through her dresser seemingly searching for something.
"Nat? What's going on? What are you doing?"
She glances back at you, "Getting clothes?" She retorts like you were dumb, and if you weren't so focused on why she was acting so weird, you'd hear the unfamiliar hoarseness in her voice. But you take absolutely no notice, feeling a little hurt that she was speaking to you in such a way.
"I see that. Let me grab some too so we can-"
"No y/n," she cuts you off, and you freeze midway to your own dresser. "I want to shower by myself."
You could only bring yourself to murmur a small, "Oh." in response, feeling your eyes burning with the familiar onslaught of tears. This never happens. No matter what, you always showered together after missions, no matter who's they were or how long they'd taken. It was a way to reconnect, to be close after being apart for so long. Tears would be wiped, bruises would be tenderly kissed and you'd spend over an hour simply holding one another.
It had become routine, something you both cherished and looked forward to so to be rejected so harshly made your chest physically ache. Knowing you needed to respect her boundaries, no matter how badly they hurt, you acquiesce her with only a nod and take a few steps away from her.
"Okay. That's okay. I'll-um-I'll wait." You ignore the single tear that had managed to escape as you sit down at your desk chair, completely missing the look of regret that appears briefly on Natasha's face before she reluctantly disappears into the bathroom, too busy trying to hold yourself together so you didn't fall apart in front of her.
You didn't want to cry. Not really. But you were tired, and overwhelmed, and all you had wanted was for Natasha to hold you just as she always does. You couldn't be mad at her for wanting space though, and you'd always respect her choices and boundaries.
You sniffle softly as you wipe off your cheeks with your sleeve, intending to get some more work done so there would be less to do tomorrow. Perhaps Natasha would be in a better mood then, and maybe she'd hold you. With a light sigh, you reach for your laptop.
"Huh'tsschoo!"
You startle slightly at the sound, head whipping up to face the bathroom door your girlfriend was currently behind. You wanted to call out and bless her, but something inside stops you in your tracks.
Give her some space, you remind yourself.
You bring your focus back to your laptop, interrupted again only moments later by yet more sneezes.
"H'htschoo! Huh'tsschoo! H'htschoo!"
Okay. That was concerning. Natasha never sneezes more than once. In fact, now that you think about it, you don't think you had ever heard her sneeze before. Was she...was she sick? Was that why she didn't want you near her?
Biting your bottom lip in consideration for just a moment, you close your laptop, rise to your feet and make quick work of kicking off your shoes before tentatively knocking on the bathroom door and inviting yourself in. You were immediately met with a heat that takes your breath away, and you frown in concern as you leave the door open intending to let some air inside.
"Nat?" You call in concern over the sound of the water hitting the tiled floor, reaching forward to pull the glass door of the shower open slightly. The sight that greets you all but breaks your heart. Natasha was flush in the face, eyes wet and bloodshot from what you could only assume were tears and that and even mentioning her dripping nose that she seemingly no longer cared about wiping.
She looked completely and utterly defeated.
"You're sick? Baby, why didn't you tell me?" You reach into the shower to turn down the temperature of the water before stripping off yourself and stepping inside. You hold out your hand, waiting for her to nod in consent before tenderly cupping her cheek.
Your other hand soon follows, and you can't help but pull her forward just slightly so you could press your lips against her forehead.
"I'm sorry." She chokes out, her own arms taking their rightful place around your waist, and you shake your head dismissively as you pull her properly into your arms, her bare frame flush against your own.
"It's okay. You don't have to be sorry." You cup the back of her head, combing your fingers through the wet strands.
"I do," she insists. "I was mean and ignored you and I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to see me like this. So gross and-"
You coax her head away from your chest and once again reach up to cup her cheeks, "Nuh uh. None of that. You're sick. You're allowed to be sick. It doesn't make you gross or whatever else you were going to say. And I forgive you. Yes it hurt-" you don't miss the way her eyes grow suddenly shiny at those last few words, and you pull her back to your chest and hold her as close as you possibly could.
"but I understand." You continue, "I'm not mad at you, or upset. I just want you to get better. Will you let he help you get better?"
Natasha sniffles, and nods, bringing a smile to your face for the first time in hours.
"Thank you pumpkin."

Cuddles - Natasha's girlfriend
Most people think that your girlfriend is the 'boss' in your relationship but that isn't the case. You knew that she is actually just a big softy and you wished that everyone could see this side of her but you understood that she just wasn't comfortable being like that in public.
You were sat on the sofa reading, as you had no missions or paperwork, when you felt the sofa dip next to you. You didn't look up from your book thinking it was just one of the other avengers as most of you were sat in the living room just relaxing.
Suddenly the book was removed from your hands and a warm body laid across your lap. You looked down to see your amazing girlfriend staring back at you looking absolutely shattered. You smiled down at her and began running your hands through her hair.
The avengers looked at you two in shock and then looked up at each other questioningly. Nat was cuddling up to you which is defiantly not what they were expecting to see when they saw her come through the door. They watched as you both just stared at each other and smiled. Tony watched you both before clearing his throat causing you both to look up at everyone.
"What...What is that?" He said pointing at you two. You looked back in confusion.
"Um... This is my girlfriend laying on my lap after a long mission. Why?"
"Well i...um....Just didn't think that Romanoff was the PDA/Cuddling type."
"Well you thought wrong." You looked down at your girlfriend and could instantly tell something was wrong, and it wasn't the mission. Knowing that she wouldn't want to make a big deal out of it you settled for running your hands through her hair knowing you could ask her later.
It wasn't long before you noticed some of the avengers getting up and leaving. You looked up questioningly at Clint, as he passed, who just smiled and nodded down towards your lap. You looked down and saw that Natasha had fallen asleep. You smiled before leaning down to pick her up as you knew she would be more comfortable in your bed.
As you made your way upstairs, slow and steady, trying not to wake Nat, she curled herself up in your arms and buried her head as deep as she could into your chest. You couldn't help but worry about her. Whilst this was normal behaviour behind closed doors, you knew Natasha wasn't one to cuddle you in front of everyone... well unless she was sick.
The more you thought about it the more it made sense. The last time she had cuddled you in front of anyone was when she was sick with the flu that had already passed through most of the compound.
Walking into your shared room you gently placed Natasha on the bed hoping not to wake her. Unfortunately as soon as she left the warmth of your arms Natasha woke up. You looked at her and knew you were right... She was sick. You sat on the edge of the bed and almost immediately Nat crawled over and rested her head back in your lap.
"Hey baby. How was your mission?"
"It was okay. " Natasha whispered in return.
"Babe.... Are you feeling okay." You knew you had to approach this with caution as Nat didn't like admitting she was anything but 100%.
"No... I feel really sick." You opened your mouth, to tell her it was okay to be sick, but shut it again when your brain registered what she had said.
"Oh baby, it's okay....How about a warm bath? Help you relax before getting some sleep. You watched as she nodded and you began slowly making your way to the bathroom, always making sure that Nat was okay.
1 hour later
After getting her settled into the bath and then, with the promise of returning soon, you went off to get her some medicine to help her feel better. As soon as you got back you had Nat take the medicine before gently helping her wash her body.
Eventually you got her out of the bath, dressed in loose clothing, and into the bed. You put the TV on quietly for background noise and laid down pulling Natasha towards you and watching as she laid her head onto your chest. She smiled and buried back into your chest as you began to scratch her head.
"Goodnight baby... I love you." Natasha spoke sleepily. You smiled down at her before replying.
"Goodnight Tasha... I love you too."

Hi, I have a request, can you write some funny drunk Nat/Wanda? You know, when Yn went to her and she said like she has a girlfriend or saying a few funny things.
I always craved these kind of fics hahaha
Drunk
Tumblr media
Y/N: 25 years old ——————————————————
Y/N'S POV I sigh after dialing my girlfriend's number for what feels like the millionth time. Tony threw another party in the Stark tower and my girlfriend went there. I couldn't go with her as I only just returned home an hour ago from a mission.
She agreed to be home by 10 though, so we could make a cozy movie night, but it's nearly half past 10 and I'm getting worried.
"Alright" I breath out, taking a hoodie. I hope she's okay and just forgot about time.
Even though I'm completely exhausted, I drive as fast as I can and as I expected the tower is still full of random people dressed in fancy suits and dresses. I guess my sweatpants and hoodie don't really fit the dress code, but I couldn't care less right now.
"Y/N, what are you doing here?" Natasha asks me as soon as I reach the bar behind which she's standing. I'm not sure how and why, but she somehow always ends up behind the bar and makes some drinks. "You want a drink?"
"Oh. No. I just came to pick up Wanda. Have you seen her?" I ask, nervously tapping the bar with my fingers and looking around.
"I think she's with the boys there, Pietro made her try some of that Thor's asgardian alcohol" Natasha says, pointing at a small group of people in the far.
"Oh god" I sigh, mentally preparing myself for an encounter with my drunk girlfriend. "Thanks, Nat. I'll see you tomorrow. Have a great night" I shoot her a quick smile and take a deep breath to calm myself down as I'm really mad at Pietro right now.
I asked him to look after her here when I couldn't and not to get her drunk. Also I'm really tired and this will make things a lot harder. I'm so gonna kill him when I see him…
I walk over to the small group of people, greeting the boys with a quick 'hi' before spotting Wanda sitting on the couch, looking completely wasted.
Pietro's so lucky that he's not here right now. But he won't get away like that, I'll just yell at him tomorrow.
"Hi there" I kneel in front of my girlfriend, giving her a warm smile.
"I'm taken" She says without hesitation which honestly makes me chuckle. I'm glad she knows we're dating even in this state, but the way she didn't hesitate for a second made me actually chuckle.
"I know you are. Your girlfriend asked me to bring you home to her. Come on, Wands" I tell her, taking her hand and trying to lift her.
"Don't touch me. I'm gonna tell my girlfriend and she's gonna kick your ass. She can fight, you know" Wanda says, giving me a glare.
"This will be hard" I sigh. "Wanda, honey, it's me… Y/N. I came for you. Let's go home, okay?" I smile at her, but she's clearly not listening as she's just staring at my hoodie which is actually hers.
"Did you steal my hoodie? Are you a stalker? Y/N is gonna kill you" Wanda says, giving me another glare.
I sigh and walk over to Clint as he's closest to me.
"Do you know where Pietro is? I need to kill him" I tell him, anger building up inside of me. I just want to lay down to bed and sleep.
"I think he left with some girl. What did he do?" Clint asks me, clearly amused.
"I asked him to look after Wanda here and what does he do? He makes her drink that Thor's asgardian beer or whatever that is and now Wanda's drunk and thinks I'm some stalker who's hitting on her" I sigh, pressing a palm to my forehead and trying hard not to cry in front of everyone.
"Okay, come on. I'll help you get her to the car" He smiles at me.
"Thank you" I give him a smile back and walk back to my drunk girlfriend. "Wanda, sweetheart, it's time to go home" I tell her softly, kneeling in front of her again.
"Y/N/N, is that you? Thank god, there was some really annoying stalker lady" Wanda sighs. "I missed you so much" She says, tears filling her eyes.
"I missed you too, baby. Let's go home now, hm?" I smile, happy that she recognized me.
Clint helps me to lift her up, he puts one of Wanda's arm around his shoulder's while I put the other around mine's.
"Wait!… Y/N, you need to find that bitch and kick her ass" Wanda states, stopping to walk completely.
"I promise I'll find her tomorrow, let's get you to bed now, okay?" I tell her, trying to be as nice as possible.
"But she had my favorite hoodie on. The one you always steal. I want it back" Wanda sobs, wrapping both of her arms around me and crying into my neck.
"Wanda, I promise you'll have your hoodie back tomorrow, just please come home with me" I sigh, rubbing her back. Clint just gives me a look full of sympathy which is not helping it at all, but nice of him for trying to make me feel better.
"Promise?" She asks, wiping her tears away.
"I promise, my love" I give her a smile and press a kiss to her forehead. "Let's go, you must be so tired"
Clint and I finally get Wanda to my car, so I thank him for help and buckle my girlfriend in.
"You got it back?" She gasps. "You're the best girlfriend!… I hope you kicked that bitch's ass" Wanda mumbles the last part, making me chuckle.
"You bet I did. No one will stalk and flirt with my girlfriend" I tell her which seems to satisfy her, so I sit behind the wheel and start driving us home… finally.
I pull over in the garage and open the door for my half-sleeping girlfriend, helping her out of the car.
"You're so nice to me, do you have a girlfriend?" Wanda asks me on which I furrow my brows as I thought she recognized me.
"I do" I answer, cusious where this will bring us.
"I have a girlfriend too! Y/N is on a mission now though. But maybe we could go on a double date someday!" Wanda says happily.
"That's a great idea" I tell her with a chuckle.
"Awesome! I'll ask Y/N when she comes back… you kinda look like her! That's scary!" Wanda gasps, studying my face while I'm trying to get her to our room.
"We're here" I announce, a sigh of relief leaving my lips as I sit my girlfriend on our bed.
"Thank you!" Wanda smiles, attempting to take off her shoes. "You can go home now. I don't think Y/N would appreciate if you watched me change, even though you look like her. And she should be home soon, because we're having a movie night" She looks at me seriously.
"Okay, I'll go home. Goodnight" I give her a smile and walk out of the room.
I wait about 2 minutes outside before walking back in. Hopefully she'll know it's me otherwise I might as well end up sleeping on the couch.
"Wanda, baby, I'm home" I announce, finding my girlfriend in the same position as I left her 2 minutes ago, her shoes still on and her cheeks wet. "Oh no, why those tears, baby?" I ask her softly, kneeling in front of her.
"Y/N/N, I can't take off my shoes" She sobs.
"Luckily for you, I'm here to help" I smile and wipe her tears away before taking off her shoes. "Let's get you ready for bed now, hm? Would you like one of my hoodies?" I ask softly, getting a nod in response.
Wanda loves sleeping in my hoodies just like I love sleeping in hers. We steal each others clothes on daily basis which I absolutely love, cause nothing is more comfortable than Wanda's hoodies.
I help her to change into some sweatpants and my hoodie which is not easy at all as she's already half asleep and isn't really helping me.
"Okay, you can sleep now, baby" I smile, helping her to properly lay down on the bed. I sigh in relief and lay down next to her, immediately having her cuddled up to me.
"I love you" She mumbles before drifting off to sleep, making me smile and kiss her forehead.
"I love you too" I whisper back. "But I'm not letting Pietro to look after you ever again"
After this I know a few things for sure… Wanda is the most loyal girlfriend ever and I'm really glad for that.
Another thing is that I will never ever let Pietro to look after his sister when I'm not here. We'll sure talk about it tomorrow and it won't really be a nice talk for him
----------------------
Chose Wanda, cause I felt like she is more likely to get drunk than Nat
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it!! <;33

Summary: Phoenix needs a fake date to a Naval wedding to avoid sailors hitting on her all night, so who better to ask than her best friend?
Word Count: 2,925
Category: Fluff, Humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"I have a favor to ask you."
I sighed dramatically, making a show of pulling my attention from my laptop to my best friend, Natasha "Phoenix" Trace, who sat across the table from me. She held her coffee mug with both hands and stared intently at me. Clearly, whatever she was about to say next had been on her mind for a bit now.
"It's something I need you to help me out with, if you don't mind. And if you're not busy."
I raised an eyebrow, closing my laptop and leaning across the table to match Natasha's posture.
"Okay, spit it out, Nat. You've never danced around something the way you're doing right now the entire time I've known you. What's wrong?"
Nat took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, then met my eyes with a new determination.
"I need you to be my fake date for a Navy wedding next weekend."
Honestly, I wasn't sure what I'd been expecting her to say, but it definitely wasn't that. The corner of my mouth quirked up in a smile, and I had to work to hold back a laugh.
"Nat... first of all, I'm in." Her shoulders immediately relaxed, the dire look on her face morphing into one of relief as she eaased back in her chair. I shook my head, still smiling. "Second, you seriously need to work on your delivery. I thougth you were about to ask me to help you hide a body."
Her eyebrow shot up.
"You thought I prefaced asking you to hide a body with 'if you don't mind' and 'if you're free'?"
I just shrugged and waved her off. "You were crazy grim and looked more stressed than I've ever seen you. I didn't think the favor was gonig to involve a party. Which brings me to third: why? I'm happy to go with you, but I'm a little surprised you're asking."
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "You know I work with a lot of men. Most of them are fine. Some of them are great. Some of them I want to punch in the nose sometimes. But at big Navy weddings, there's always tons of pilots I'm not familiar with, and at least a few of them always try to hit on me. This time, I don't want to deal with it. So... fake date."
I grinned. "Natasha Trace. Are you telling me that I get to scare off Naval Aviators all night if they try to hit on my girlfriend?"
Natasha grinned and shook her head with a laugh. I waited until she faced me again, then raised an eyebrow since she still hadn't answered my question.
"Alright, sure. You get to scare off anybody who flirts with me, any way you want to."
"Amazing."
****************
The next weekend, I stood in front of the mirror adjusting my outfit nervously while I waited for Natasha to arrive. We were meeting at my house, then driving over together.
When I'd told her I'd be happy to go as her fake date to this wedding, it had been a partial lie. I'd been wrestling with some feelings for my best friend since a few months ago, and I wasn't completely thrilled about the "fake" part of "fake date". When my doorbell finally rang and I opened the door to find Natasha looking like an absolute knockout, my heart did a few backflips before breaking in half as I remembered that she wasn't actually here for a real date.
"Wow," she said, sounding a little breathier than normal as she looked me up and down. "You look great."
"Me? Nat, you look stunning. Like, wow."
Nat looked up and met my eyes with a smile.
"Well, then I guess we make a good pair."
My heart did another flip, so I took a deep breath and stepped through the door to join Nat on the porch before she could give me a heart attack.
"Those Navy boys won't know what hit 'em," I declared, holding my arm out for Nat. She took it with a grin, and we headed for the car arm in arm. My heart skipped a couple beats at the proximity, and I did my best to tell it to shut up.
It mostly listened throughout the wedding ceremony. When we got to the venue, we got some looks and some raised eyebrows, especially from Natasha's closest Navy friends, who she apparently hadn't told about her plan. I got to ditch Hangman to cross the room and chase off a more tangentally-invited pilot who'd been hitting on Nat, which had been a highlight of the night so far, especially as she leaned into my side and I wrapped an arm around her. Unfortunately, we didn't get to linger, since we had to take our seats for the wedding itself.
It was beautiful, and thankfully, didn't stretch on too long. Before I knew it, we were heading to the reception, throwing a few of Nat's aviator friends in the back of the car to get to the venue hosting the reception. We blasted music, laughed, and I even got up the courage to reach out and take Nat's hand while she drove. She turned to me with a grin and squeezed my hand back, and I tried not to let my imagination run away from me about whether that might mean something.
We pulled into the venue, and Natasha immediately took my hand in hers. I bumped my shoulder into hers, and we shared a grin as we flowed through the doors with the rest of the wedding guests. The music was already blasting, and people were floating around and snacking while we waited for the bride and groom to arrive with the rest of the wedding party. Nat's friends went ahead of us as she stopped, turning to me with a smile.
"Alright, what's first? Food or drinks?"
"Hmm... I know the guests of honor aren't here yet, but what about dance floor?"
She laughed. "Okay, drinks it is. If you actually want to pull me out there, I'm going to need more than just water in my veins."
"I don't think the alcohol actually goes into your veins-"
"You know what I mean! Come on, I'll get you your favorite. On me."
"Isn't it an open bar?"
"And isn't it the thought that counts?"
I laughed, letting Natasha pull me along and through the crowd, trailing after her with a happy smile. When she came to a stop at the bar, tugging me up to stand next to her, I had to fight very hard against the urge to lean in and kiss her, then and there. I swallowed, but managed to get a hold of myself and respond to her instead.
"Yeah. Yeah, it's the thought that counts."
Nat and I ate the snacks and chatted with her close friends while we waited for the couple to arrive, and then for the party to really start. Dinner was delicious, the toasts were sweet, and not long after the last one finished, the dance floor officially opened for business.
I turned to Nat, intending to make good on my answer of what I first wanted to do when we got here, but I found her facing in the other direction as some guy in a suit smiled down at her, one of his hands resting on the back of her chair. I narrowed my eyes.
He didn't notice me, he was too focused on Nat. I knew she was more than capable of telling him to get lost on her own, but I also knew that the main reason she'd asked me to be her date at all tonight was to avoid dealing with clowns like these. I stood and walked around to stand next to him, pushing my way into the spot between him and the table and holding a hand out to Nat.
"Hey, babe," I said, smiling at Nat without sparing a glance for the guy. "You ready to hit the dancefloor?"
She grinned back at me in sync with the guy beside me saying "Babe?" as a clear question directed at me. I turned to face him like I had all the time in the world, keeping a straight face as I met his eyes.
"Yeah. That's generally what I call my girlfriend. You got a comment about that?"
The guy blanched, taking a half step back and removing his arm from the back of Natasha's chair.
"Uh... no. Sorry."
"Don't apologize to me, she's the one who had to put up with some random guy trying to put moves on her."
The guy scowled, but he muttered a quick apology to Natasha all the same before heading off into the crowd again. I watched him go, then turned to Nat with the massive grin I'd been holding back the whole time.
She shook her head, mirroring my grin all the same.
"You have way too much fun doing that."
I shrugged. "Maybe. But you don't have any fun doing it for yourself, so this seems like by far the best option."
"I guess I can't argue with you there."
"You're right, you can't. Now come on, I want to dance with my girlfriend. Let's get out there."
My heart hammered in my chest at my own words, worried that I'd overstepped, even in the context of a group in public for our fake-date situation. But Natasha just smiled at me again, softer this time, and took my hand.
"Fine. I guess I'm tipsy enough for this. Barely."
I laughed, pulling her out onto the dancefloor behind me. Tipsy or not, I usually enjoyed making a fool of myself on the dancefloor, and it turned out to be even better with Nat's hand in mine, the two of us spinning in and out of each other's arms.
The rest of the wedding party disappeared as we lost ourselves in the music, just the two of us, breathing hard between laughs and holding each other tightly. Eventually, the music wound down from the high-energy stuff we'd been listening to, shifting to something made for slow dancing. We stuttered to a stop on the floor as couples flocked in all around us, and I looked at Nat.
She shrugged, stepping closer to me and putting her hands on my waist.
"We're supposed to be a couple too, right?"
I grinned back at her. "Damn right."
I laid my arms across Nat's shoulders and the two of us swayed back and forth on the dancefloor, the low lights sweeping over us as we moved. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, and the corner of her mouth lifted up like she'd noticed. Slowly, she leaned in, and my heart just about stopped in my chest. She rested her forehead against mine, and I sighed, half content to stay here like this with her as long as she wanted, half disappointed she hadn't been going in for a kiss.
When the music of the slow dance faded, we just stayed where we were for a long moment before finally pulling away from each other. I opened my mouth to say something, although I wasn't totally sure what yet, but before either of us got the chance to speak the music picked up again, and her closer aviator friends swarmed us on the dancefloor.
"I can't believe you got Phoenix out to dance!" called Fanboy, grinning as he threw one arm over her shoulder, jumping up and down to the beat. Natasha tried to duck his arm, presumably to ditch the dancefloor, but Fanboy knew her well enough that he managed to stop her. I gave them a half-hearted smile, then took the opportunity myself to slip away from the crowd.
I knew Nat probably would've wanted me making up a girlfriend excuse to get her out of there. Normally I would've helped her, but that moment on the dancefloor before her friends showed up had felt so real, and I needed to take a moment to remind myself that it wasn't.
I ducked and weaved through the crowd with relative ease, since only Nat's close friends would've recognized me and they were all out on the dancefloor. I made my way to the bar, not even ordering, just leaning against it for a second. Enough other people hovered around that it'd be hard to spot me amongst the crowd, but I could still see Nat out on the dancefloor, laughing and smiling even as she shook her head and tried to tell her friends to get lost.
I was in love with her. Her attitude, confidence, strength, wit. The way she smiled at me when I said something funny or called Hangman "Bagman" even though I barely knew him and had no reason (other than loyalty to Nat) to use the nickname. I was in love with her, and I had been for a long time, but after tonight, I wasn't going to be able to ignore it anymore. This night had been a mistake.
"Hey! You want a drink?"
I reluctantly turned to face the person shouting in my ear only to find Rooster, one of Natasha's best friends, leaning over to talk to me, his shirt unbuttoned and his tie around his head.
"Uh... that's okay," I said. "I think I'm good."
"You sure? You made me a lot of money tonight!"
I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at him, but he was drunk enough that he didn't get the hint. He turned and quickly snagged two bottles of beer from the bartender, who had to explain to Rooster that it was an open bar and he didn't need to pay, before Rooster finally turned back to me with a grin.
"Want one of these?"
"No," I said, gently pushing aside the bottle he offered me as I took a step forward. "Rooster, what do you mean I made you a lot of money tonight?"
"Technically you and Phoenix! Everybody kept betting that you guys weren't going to figure out your shit for another month at least, but I had faith-"
"Bradley, what the hell are you talking about?"
"You guys!" he said, motioning emphatically with the beers in his hands between me and the dancefloor, where Nat had been cajoled into enjoying at least one song. "Finally getting together! After hearing her wax poetic about how great you are since the day you guys met, we started taking bets on when she'd finally do something about it. And I won! So, thanks!"
"Hold on..." I reached out, taking Rooster's arm to steady myself. The room had started spinning around me, and it had nothing to do with alcohol. "Roos, what are you saying? What do you mean, Nat's been talking about me since the day we met?"
"Ah, I probably shouldn't have told you," he said, shaking his head and at last lowering his voice to normal volume, although it was still far from a whisper. "But it's probably fine now, since you're dating. God, she used to drive us all crazy talking about how great you were and how much of a thing she had for you. It's probably gonna get worse now though, since you guys finally admitted you were pining after each other- Hey, where are you going?"
I ignored Rooster as I headed back to the dance floor, a buzzing in my brain as his words echoed. He was clearly drunk, but if anything, that made me more confident that what he'd told me was the truth. The whole time I'd been driving myself crazy trying not to admit feelings for one of my best friends, she'd been doing the same thing.
Before I knew it, I stood in front of Natasha again. The music still thumped, people laughing and jumping and twirling all around us, but I barely noticed. Nat stood to one side of Fanboy, with Bob on his other side, the two of them holding him up as he attempted to drag them both into a dance, so it took Nat a minute to notice me. But once she did, she straightened up.
"Hey, are you okay?"
I nodded, taking a step closer to her.
"Rooster spilled his guts. You like me. For real."
Shock registered on her face, then straight rage as she whipped her head around to look for Rooster. I just grinned, pushing Fanboy's arm off her as I closed the rest of the distance between us.
"Nat. I like you, too. For real."
She whipped her head back around so quickly that she almost broke my nose. Her wide eyes searched mine, one eyebrow raised.
"Are you kidding?"
"Hell no I'm not kidding. Nat... can I kiss you?"
She grinned, any trace of trepidation or irritation melting away all at once.
"Hell yeah you can."
I grinned back, letting my hand come up to the back of her neck as I leaned in and finally, finally kissed Natasha. She wrapped an arm tightly around my waist, pulling me closer to her as we deepened the kiss. Some cheers and whoops from her friends snapped us both out of it enough to finally pull away, both of us smiling delirious-looking smiles.
"I'm so glad you asked me to be your date to this, Nat," I breathed, letting my arms fall to rest on her shoulders. Her hands came onto my waist, her smile turning into more of a grin.
"Me too. Although, I am looking forward to an opportunity for a real date, without my idiot friends in range or any other people trying to hit on me."
"Sounds great. How about... tomorrow night?"
Nat threw her head back and laughed, but when she met my eyes again and saw me looking as serious as ever, she grinned again.
"Alright. Tomorrow night it is."
"I can't wait."

Rockstar Girlfriend
You and Nat are in a band, but thats not the only thing you do together (if you know what i mean 😏)
Warnings: kinda smutty, kinda fluffy
Lenght: a little less than 1k
"We should get dressed," you said, gathering your clothes from the floor. Nat remained sprawled out lazily, as if she didn't have a whole crowd of people waiting for her to go out and sing. "Or... I could go out looking like this. Bet my fans would love it," she teased.
You watched her as she put on her bra and black tank top, a playful glint in her eyes. "Oh they totally would , but you know who wouldn't love it?" you replied pointing at yourself, smirking.
Nat laughed, her voice filled with amusement. "Getting a little jealous there, y/n? Thought you didn't mind sharing me," she teased, enjoying the banter between you.
"I don't. You're free to do whatever you want... It's not like you're my girlfriend or anything," you responded, trying to sound nonchalant. But deep down, the unspoken truth lingered between.
Just as you finished speaking, the door swung open, it was Maria, your manager. "Show starts in five minutes!-What's going on in here? Actually, I don't want to know. Y/n, you should be getting your guitar ready!" Maria yelled,  breaking the playful atmosphere with her nervousness..
Maria was right, you two were being careless, so, you sprinted out of Nat's dressing room.
You and Nat had been hooking up for the past two months. You tried to keep it a secret but it became impossible to hide from the rest of the band considering how unbelievably attracted you were towards each other. At first you were a little embarrassed about them knowing but now? No. In fact, you were more than attracted to Nat, you were in love with her. Were you going to tell her?  Absolutely not. There was no way you were gonna risk ruining what you already had with her
Tonight marked the final show of your band's tour and while you were looking forward to the relaxation it would bring...but it also meant less time spent with Natasha.
The show went absolutely incredible. Carol's drumming skills were unmatched, Wanda worked her magic with the bass, and you played your guitar hitting every note with precision. But it was Nat who stole the show, her voice captivating the audience and leaving them spellbound as usual.
As the band members dispersed backstage, Carol winked at you, impressed by your talent. "Damn, y/n, that solo? Pretty hot," she praised with a flirty look in her eyes.
"Yeah, y/n, pretty hot. You should teach me sometime," Nat murmured from behind, playfully slapping your butt taking you completely off guard.
You turned to face to her, a mixture of surprise and amusement on your face. "Teach you, huh? Are you sure you can handle it?" you shot back, playfully raising an eyebrow.
Nat smirked, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, I can handle it, trust me," she replied, stepping closer to you. The energy between the two of you was electric, and even though you knew you should be keeping your distance, it was impossible to resist her.
As the adrenaline from the show began to fade, you found yourselves drawn to each other, locked in a passionate embrace. The backstage area was bustling with activity, but in that moment, it felt like the entire world had faded away, leaving only the two of you.
You started making out while Nat started to unbutton our pants but before things could escalate further, a voice interrupted your intimate moment. "Hey lovebirds…hate to break it to you, but we need to start packing up," Wanda called out, grinning at the situation she just walked into.
You and Nat quickly untangled yourselves, trying to regain composure as you exchanged sheepish glances. "Right, time to pack up," you mumbled, feeling a mixture of disappointment and relief. Damn it, you wanted Nat so badly, you needed her.
As the crew members dismantled the stage equipment, you and Nat worked side by side, stealing secret glances and playful touches whenever you could. There was an unspoken understanding between you, a connection so strong you never thought you’d be able to feel with anyone else…but Natasha was not just anyone.
Once everything was packed up and loaded onto the tour bus, you found yourself sitting next to Nat. The steady hum of the engine providing a comforting backdrop that made everyone fall asleep after 30 minutes on the road.
"Hey," Nat whispered, her voice barely audible over the rumble of the bus. "I had a great time with you, you know. These past few months have been... incredible."
You nodded, a bittersweet smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Yeah, they really have " you replied softly. Nat sighed, her fingers tracing patterns on the armrest next to your wrist. Your eyes locked onto her full lips, and the intensity of her gaze hinted at her desires.
"Everyone's asleep," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah, the tour was exhausting," Nat sighed. "Are you going to fall asleep on me too, y/n?" Her voice dropped into that lower, sultry tone she knew always made you weak. You shook your head, feeling your cheeks flush with warmth. "Good girl." That was it. You couldn't wait anymore. You NEEDED Nat right now.
But as much as you craved Nat's touch, you knew the timing wasn't right. The bus was filled with sleeping bandmates, and discretion was necessary. You couldn't risk being caught in such an intimate moment...until she spoke. ’Come here baby, we’ll be quiet’’.
You straddled Nat's lap, and with her assistance, you removed your pants, allowing her to put her fingers inside you but you were weak and the sensations overwhelmed you. You struggled to stifle your moans but Nat muffled your sounds with her spare hand, reminding you to keep quiet.
‘Shhhh, you don't want everyone to catch you being such a needy slut like this, don't you?’’ Nat whispered and you shook your head in agreement.
You rode her fingers till you came in silence, completely collapsing onto her body, which she found adorable.
She rubbed circles on your back as you rested on top of her while unwanted thoughts rushed through your mind.
"What are you thinking about?" Nat inquired softly. "Nothing," you lied, attempting to shield yourself.
"Were my fingers not good enough for you, Miss Guitarist?" Nat playfully teased, stealing a giggle from you. "Do you think I'd still be here, collapsed on top of you, if that were the case?" you responded with a hint of amusement.
‘’Then tell me’’ she persisted. Silence lingered for a moment before she spoke again ‘Oh come on malyshka, you know you can tell me anything''. -Fuck it- you thought, "I... God, I'm afraid I'll ruin everything, but here goes... I like you, Nat. Not just as friends, not just for the sex... I'm in love with you."
You felt Nat's body warming up beneath you. "I... wow," she murmured, caught off guard by your confession. Assuming the worst, you attempted to get yourself off from her lap, but she stopped you. "Y/n, I'm sorry. You just caught me by surprise," she said looking....happy? "I love you too."
In that moment, your lips met hers in a passionate kiss that soon turned into a full blown out make out session. However, the mood was abruptly interrupted by a loud yawn from Wanda, who had just woken up two seats behind you.
"Shit," you whispered, scrambling to hide in your seat. Nat quickly handed you your pants, winking mischievously. "We'll continue this at the hotel" she whispered with a promise in her eyes and you knew damn well the wait was gonna be worth it.

IF SHE WERE MINE ( BRADLEY BRADSHAW X READER )
Tumblr media
summary : when  rooster finds reader stupid boyfriend cheating he doesn't mind telling him exactly how stupid  he is for hurting  a woman like that  , a woman he dreams of
warnings: slight angst , fluffy i guess  , there will be a smutty part two 😉
Every week  , every day and every second  Bradley " rooster" Bradshaw was convinced the universe was against him  knowing the one woman he truly was in love with was in the arms of another because he was afraid to  do anything so he ended up watching her kisses on someone else's lip , her doe love filled glances for him  to another .    He wanted his happy ending ,  the one where he got the girl . so now here he was stuck in another bar or club in town  jake insisted on bringing him but never said why just he needed to be there , that it was going to be important . just as he was about to leave  he watch as the asshole walked in with another girl on arm . Anger wasn't the emotion  he could describe what he felt watching the man , the girl he loved so much and this prick was wrapped around another.  No bradley was beyond the point of anger , maybe even homicidal .  how could this prick take what he already have for granted.
" hey asshole what the fuck " he growled storming across the bar ignoring jakes calls.
" who's this baby" the woman had the nerve asked.
" the best friend of his girlfriend " he snapped not caring the woman flinched at the words.
" hey come on man be cool " .
" be cool , she's at home probably believing whatever lame excuse you gave to be with this trash , how could you pick anyone above Y/N  i mean if i was with a girl like that  hell all other women would be faceless because a face like hers would drowned out the world . she does so much for you and yet this is how you repay her cheap hook ups with other women in bars not even hangmans that bad" he snapped .
" hey " jake yelled offended.
" you've got the most beautiful version of sunshine back home waiting on you and yet this is what your doing , your lucky she even picked your sorry ass spend time with , a girl like that is one in a million , you don't do anything to fucking mess that up  or even risk losing " he ranted and raved .
" sounds like your more in love with her "  the woman said softly not taking offence  to his words towards her and moving far from the man she came in with .
" i do and i let a low life bastard take her before i couldnt even tell her how i felt " he sighed .
what bradley didn't notice in his verbal crusade was phoenix leading Y/N into the bar to catch the bastard red handed .  nat, jake and bob caught him the night before and decided she would need to see  it first hand , rooster was suppose to be there for her help pick up the pieces but she should know that jake didn't fill him in on the plans by looks of it . yet Y/N  stood listening to her best friend telling her definitely now ex   her loved her.
"Y/N shit hey baby "  .
" Don't heybaby me what the fuck " she huffed.
" it's not what looks like promise " he scampered towards her .
" really man " the three dagger squad members and the woman he was there with all deadpanned.
" and you did you know he was seeing someone " she turned to the woman .
" no i  didn't if i did  i would not be here " she glared at the man .
" roo apologise from being mean to this woman " she turned to bradley .
" yeah sorry i didn't actually mean to call you trash " he scratched the back of his neck .
" no it's fine heat of the moment but i can see why you love her " she smiled .
" and you cheating shrimp dick of a man , you can't go around sleeping with multiple women with that thing no wonder  the ladies of san diego are depressed , get your shit out of my place or i will throw it on the street as for the spare key leave it or my very big friends here will get it off you  " she crossed her arms standing in  front of the man .
" i'd go now and lady if you want good time blondey over there isnot too bad " she turned and walked off  straight out of the door .
" follow her " nat ,jake and the woman yelled at rooster.
" oh shit yeah " he ran out the door.  once he got out he could see her heading for the car park  her head still high when she got to the car but the second he could see as her hand touch the door  when the emotion of it all hit her .
not a second did he wait running towards her  grabbing her into his arms as the sobs wrack through her body .
"i got you darling , i alway got you " he kissed top of her head just letting her get it out of her system .
" can you take me home roo , your home i don't want to be in mine " she sniffled wiping her eyes . god it broke his heart seeing her  so broken and hurt but hell he wasn't going to lie he was so proud of how she handled it in the bar .
" course come on we can get your car later " he smiled softly leading her to the bronco .
" it's actually phoenix car i don't know how i was going to get into it " she wiped her eyes .  he opened the door for he letting her in before he went to his own side her ex eyes locked on her , like he wanted to say something but when he seen the pissed glare from rooster he quickly changed his mind . while she sat there , her  head a jumble mess of emotions from the hurt and heartbroken  , down right stupidity of being with a man like her now ex,  then the feelings of every word rooster said. a man she had known since she was a little girl , her best friend  , the man she truly loved .  the irony of it all was just exactly something life would throw at her she couldn't help but laugh.
" hey what's so funny" he smiled .
" i get cheated on by a guy i only gave a chance to because i never thought you'd love me back like more than a bestfriend and it took him to cheat for you to say you love me " she turned to the man her laughs turning to a another wave of sobs .
" oh shit i'm sorry  really i wanted to tell you but come on your  you , i don't deserve you OWW " He yelped feeling her pinching him .
" hey i will not sit here and listen to you put yourself down ok , your most amazing stupid man i know " she looked up at him , he was smiling brightly  down at her . he'd always looked at her like this but this time it finally made sense , how he always looked at her like she hung the moon and star, the pure love she felt for him was reflected back and yet only now she saw it .
" i'm an idiot , i mean i should of known he was cheating  and i was oblivious to how you felt even though it been staring at me all this time " she shook her head.
" come on just give your brain a rest tonight we can talk about all this another time " he squeezed her hand before driving off .
"I don't wanna talk roo , I want you and roo "
" thats me " he winked
" take me home or lose me forever " she chuckled.
" show me the way home honey " he kissed her hand .

Tumblr media
'i miss you guys:(' you typed the phrase on your keyboard, you were gonna send the tender message to the groupchat with your girlfriends, but you felt like you were being clingy, much too clingy . you deleted the letters on your screen and turned off your phone, you laid in bed staring at your ceiling, nat and lott had been away and busy, you'd barely seen them all month . you had been going through a though time recently, feeling like you weren't good enough for them, but you didn't feel like telling them, what if they thought you really weren't enough?
you turned on your favorite sad songs and sulked, you tossed and turned in your warm bed, you couldn't get the terrible thoughts out of your mind . you waited for maybe a text from them, maybe a call or a knock, but nothing came, the rest of your day you got no notifications from them, no contact at all . you woke up the next morning as sad as the night before, you got up from bed and pulled yourself together and got ready for the long day ahead of you . the walk to school was excruciating, knowing you'd have to see your girlfriend's who you felt like didn't want you anymore
you walked into school and saw them waiting by your locker, you slowly walked over to them, you were confused on why they suddenly wanted to interact with you . 'hey' nat said as lottie waved at you and indicated you to come over, you rushed over to them and leaned against your locker, 'why have you guys been ignoring me?' you bluntly asked, lottie's eyes widened and natalie's eyebrows raised . 'what?' nat questioned, 'you don't text or call me or like even care about me!' . lott shook her head and put her hands on your shoulder, bringing you into a tight hug, 'no baby we haven't been ignoring you' she mumbled into your hair
your eyes started to water at the giving of affection you'd been missing, natalie hugged you to and kissed your forehead, you all pulled away from your hug and natalie gave you a gentle kiss on your cheek, she cupped your face and kissed you one more time, 'we have not been ignoring you, we're just really busy with soccer but i swear we'll make more time for you, i swear ' lottie nodded at her statement and massaged your shoulders . 'okay we have to get to class alright?' natalie said, 'actually do you guys wanna skip and go to a diner?' lottie suggested . your eyes lit up and you quickly nodded your head, natalie smiled at you and took your hand in hers
lottie wrapped her arm around your shoulder and you guys snuck out of school, the drive to the diner was full of laughing and chatting as the three of you catched up and heat you'd missed in the short period of time you'd hadn't been together, by the time you'd arrived at the diner you kmew you had your girlfriends back .

would you mind making a comfort/fluff ff? its pairings between reader and nat. :] so basically its night time and nat wants to watch a horror movie (any kind), reader gets jumpscared during the movie (like.. grabs onto nat for comfort and nat thinks that reader is adorable), then we end up with cuddlesss 🤩
A little bit of Horror
Pairing: Natasha x Fem!Reader
Warning: Pure fluff, slight angst.
Summary: You could always hide your big terrifying secret and that was your huge fear of horror movies... But it was until a certain redhead was a fan of it.
Word count: 1.5k
My requests are always open so feel more than welcome to pop in a suggestion for the next story :3
⸻⸻⋙☸⋘⸻⸻
Your big question always was. Who created Horror movies, thinking that was the best thing ever invented?
You were good at avoiding horror movies the best you could. How couldn't you? When it was your sworn enemy, nothing else in life scared you like those stupid horror movies.
Like for what good reason would you run towards the person who is out there to kill you. You always got frustrated at those movies and honestly wanted to be there to literally show that person a quicker way out.
But at the end of the day, if they did what you wanted, there would be no movie at all. So the best you could do was avoid them.
So, with the peace of mind that no horror would happen to you anytime soon. You enjoy the day that has been presented to you. You were out on a mission for couple days now and you couldn't wait until today was over.
Natasha had promised you that she would be waiting for you with a romantic evening. You were thrilled and excited to see what your girlfriend had prepared for you.
Natasha, on the other hand, was skeptic with your way of acting. She wanted to test it out. She planned a very relaxing evening for you when you're back.
Candles, perfect dinner, relaxing bath with her, massages and then relaxing in bed whilst a movie played in the background. Of course, it had some horror, nothing that would ruin the mood.
And that's exactly what happened. You had ate the most delicious dish you have ever tasted, that she has actually cooked. The way she has dragged you away with a smirk.
She always loved admiring your body, she knew how insecure you felt sometimes about it, and each time she always made sure she paid extra attention to everything about you.
The way your body reacts to her hands gently touching you. How there are always goosebumps when her hand traces circles on your stomach before she lowers herself.
She knows how to turn you on without even needing to touch you. She knows all of your bottoms and you loved that about her. God you loved that so much about the redhead.
So, when your back was to her front in the bath. The way fingertips gently traced shapes on your arm. You hummed softly at her gesture, smiling softly at how perfect this felt.
"This is perfect..." You spoke up, knowing well enough that she was smiling the whole time. "You are perfect."
You looked at her, seeing a blush across her cheeks. "You're so cute when you blush.."
That made her blush even more. She was always confident but you always managed to make her blush with your words. "Kiss me."
You didn't take any longer than you needed to. You looked into her eyes and kissed her like she requested. Her lips felt like heaven, so soft and warm.
She pulled away, leaning her forehead against yours. Letting out a soft sigh. "You deserve all this Y/n.."
You couldn't stop yourself from smiling. Even if the water was slowly now getting colder. The warmth you felt from Natasha was enough to make you want to stay there longer.
You looked at her, those piercing green eyes that stared so perfectly into yours. "Oh Tasha..."
"I love you so much..." You were so whipped for this woman, that sometimes you wondered if she had enough of you.
"I love you too дорогая (darling)" She spoke just above a whisper.
You always loved it when she spoke Russian. It made everything sound and look perfect. "Say it in Russian.."
Her fingertips slowly made their way down to your body that was under the water. Wanted to feel those goosebumps that she always knew to expect.
"Я тоже тебя люблю, дорогая" She repeated herself but in Russian, quickly leaning in and placing a soft kiss.
She loved these moments with you. "We should get out before we both get sick from the cold water.."
She had to ruin the moment, but she cared about your wellbeing and as well as hers. You groaned at the thought of getting out but shortly agreed with her.
Both getting out and drying yourself. You wrapped the towel around your body, but Natasha had different plans. She attached her body from behind you.
Her lips kissing from your shoulder to your neck to your ear, "Don't cover yourself.."
"But Nat...-" Before you could let your insecurities get the best of you, Her hands cupped yours, moving them to where the towel sat snug. Slowly moving it away from your body and letting it drop on the floor.
You wasn't sure what gotten to her but you were loving every second of this affection. You loved how she paid attention to everything. A soft gasp left your mouth when there was a slight breeze against your nude body.
She turned you around, letting her eyes explore your body like if this was the first time. A soft blush appearing on your cheeks as you felt slightly shy.
No imperfection could make Natasha think you weren't the most beautiful woman alive. Her eyes finally met yours, her loving gaze fighting the lust circling her pupils.
"You are so beautiful.." Her hands sat tightly on your hips as she pulled you into her own warm body.
Your hands fell on her shoulder before pulling her into the most needy kiss that you could express. Showing her how much you appreciate her words, her being here and showing you that you are lovable.
Of course, being butt naked lead to the most passionate night you could've experienced. Her letting you feel all of the pleasure she could get out of you before you would give that back to her.
Show her body how much everything she did, was more than enough. You wanted to leave her satisfied and less tensed which by the way her body relaxed after was telling enough.
After everything, her arm draped around you. Holding you close as she put a movie on. The movie that she wanted to see if her assumption was right.
As your attention shifted to the TV. Almost being ready to go for another round if the movie was boring you. That's when the jump scares came.
Making you jump and squeal in fear, hiding your face in Natasha's arm. "What is this movie!"
Natasha chuckled softly at your cuteness, but not talking at all. Watching you in the corner of her eye. Watching how you peaked at the screen and then hid again.
Watching as you spoke to the tv, causing the redhead to laugh even making you laugh slightly at your own fear. "Natasha, this isn't funny!"
"How stupid are these people! Just run the opposite way!" You slightly raised your voice as you waved your hand towards the screen.
She knew the jumpscare was coming, it was slowly edging towards the end of the movie. She was ready as she had her arms open and watched as you screamed and jumped right into her arms.
"Gosh, you are so adorable." Natasha expressed as she stroke your head to keep you calm, watching as the character managed to escape the murderer.
You pulled away, your hair being slightly a mess as you narrowed your eyes at the redheaded Russian. "How could you!"
Natasha bit her lower lip to stop herself from smiling. But you weren't having it, as you softly shoved her arm. Making her laughing and voice her imaginary pain.
"Ouch." Natasha held her arm as she laughed softly. "Come on Y/n, it's just a little bit of horror."
"Little bit of horror?" You scoffed, as you sat on Natasha, holding her arms above her head. "You lead me in the false sense of safety when you had all of this planned all along. I spent years avoiding watching this stuff."
The redhead must admit she liked this side of you. The side where there was fire in your eyes. Looking at her like she was your gourmet meal.
"I was just checking out my assumption.." She knew she was going to make it worse.
How couldn't she, when this was all a plan after all.
You raised your brow at her, intrigued in her words right now. "Right... And what was that then, my dear."
"If you were scared of horror fiction." She loved the way your grip on her wrists tighten.
You hummed as you leaned down to her ear. "You better be prepared for punishment.."
You knew something that she didn't know that you knew about her. Whilst her head was filling with unholy stuff. Letting her eyes fill with lust for you.
You had other plans. You moved away as you smiled and removed your grip on her hands. With a swift motion you attached your hands to her side and tickled her.
You knew she was going to be weaker whilst laughing and trying to somehow get away from you. "Stop! Y/n!"
"No, you will take the pushiment that I came up with." You spoke louder over her, to let her hear.
Now the redhead knew, that even a little bit of horror, can turn into her nightmares if she wasn't careful.

Valentine's day getaway
Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Warnings: fluff
Words: 1.6K
Summary: A little roadtrip on Valentine's with your girlfriend.
A/N: a little one shot for valentine's day because I want Nat to be my Valentine 😭
The sun rays shone directly through the window of the car where you sat. You didn't mind feeling the warmth of the first few sun rays on your skin, you actually liked it. What you didn't like was the long sitting, you itched to stretch your legs and get that pain away that your butt got from sitting for nearly three hours. Those two little breaks you already had did not help a bit. You groaned in discomfort. "Tell me, why are we even driving again? We could have borrowed a quinjet." Natasha, your girlfriend quickly looked over to you with a grin before focusing on the street again. "Because I like driving and I love spending time with you."
"I always love doing something with you Nat, but driving 3 1/2 hours just to a cabin up in Northville is not something I imagined when you say you want to spend time with me."
"Yeah well.. I wanted some alone time with you, away from everyone and it's a cabin nobody knows about." She told you softly. You nodded and then added your thoughts to it. "Nobody but your sister, you mean."
"Only because she helped me with the final decision." Your girlfriend revealed as it made you even more excited to arrive there. "That's nice of her." Natasha snorted, knowing Yelena only did something nice if it benefitted her. "It's obvious she only did that for her own gains. It'd be another safe house."
"That or so that she could annoy her big sister." You teased but it kind of backfired when you heard more of an angry grumble. "Probably both." You instantly shifted the conversation back to the cabin alone. "I want a whole tour when we arrive." Natasha didn't say anything else, she only gave you a smirk that made you sigh in relief, she wasn't angry or mad.
The rest of the drive was silent except for the punk-rock radio station that was playing in the background. You became giddy as your girlfriend pulled into the tiny driveway. The cabin looked small but also cozy from the outside. Natasha quickly hauled your duffel bags out the trunk and joined you at the front door. She unlocked it with the keys she had and let you in first. You were too amazed with how pretty it looked that Natasha had hushed past you to even close the door. Only after you heard her cursing further in the cabin, you put your admiration aside and rushed after her. Then there you saw the blond widow, Yelena Belova as she had made herself comfortable on the sofa.
"I made plans Yelena." Natasha didn't shout or yell at her sister but her frustration was still very clear in her voice. The blonde girl ignored it and smiled at you two. "Great! Now you can include me in those plans." You didn't know if the little widow had the same idea as you, a weekend away from the Avengers or if she knew about the older woman's plans and simply were here to annoy her.
"No." She said it sternly and glared hard at her sister, hoping that the little widow would get a hint. But she did not or she ignores it and continued to fuck around with the older widow. "Why not?" You waved to her as a little hello, she greeted you back with a grin and a nod. "Because that would be fucking disgusting!" Yelena furrowed her eyebrows. "So you're calling me disgusting now?" You were holding yourself back from laughing. The sibling interaction was too funny for you.
"Let me spell it out for you since you can't seem to get it." Natasha grunted. "I have planned romantic and sexualthings."
"Eww why'd tell me about that?! I didn't need to know it." Yelena made a gagging noise while she shows the disgust with a clear expression on her face.
"As if you would have stopped at the romantic part!" The redhead basically growled out in anger. The younger sister seemed to take it as a direct attack. "I would have!" She countered back with the same amount of passion in her voice as Natasha. "No you wouldn't and I know that for sure because you came along on so many of our date nights." You put a hand on Natasha's arm to calm her, you knew how deeply it affected her whenever her sister came to your dates. All Natasha wanted was to be the hopeless romantic she knew she could be but without getting teased for it and with Yelena in tow it was simply not possible.
Before it got out of hand you decided to speak up. "Yel, it's Valentine's day.. and we really need some time just for the two of us." The younger sibling looked at Natasha intensly. "My god." She groaned and sighed in annoyance. "If you're really that desperate then okay I'll be gone in an hour."
"You better be." Nat's voice was so cold that if you wouldn't drag her away something awful would happen. You took her hand in yours and dragged her outside. Once you were near the water, you sat down on a stump. It seemed like the tree that was once there got chopped off a while ago. "Don't let her get to you. She'll be gone within the hour and we'll be all alone and have a lot of me & you time." A small smile tugged at her lips when you pulled her towards you, hinting that you want her to sit on you. She willingly placed herself on your lap, exhaled loudly as she leaned against your front with her back, your arms wrapped around her waist.
This was heaven for her, being held by you  and hearing you hum soft melodies. "You know, if I knew you'd drag me out of bed early in the morning on Valentine's day then I'd have gone to a flower shop the day before to get you the most beautiful bouquet." She turned her head towards you. "I told you before that I don't need a physical gift for today. Being with you is all I want." She laid her warm hands on your arm, squeezed it gently before simply just holding onto it.
"Do you even realize how much my heart always melts whenever you say stuff like that and with that look in your eyes?"
"Well now that I know I won't ever stop doing it." She teased you.
"That is cruel my love." You joked back.
"Being loved by me is cruel now? Weren't you the one who told me not to stay around toxic people?" Tilting her head to the side she gave you a pointed look.
"You have way more green flags than red flags so I guess I'm good." You smiled happily at her. "And don't you even start with you being an ex-assassin is the biggest red flag of all time because you my dear black widow redeemed yourself a thousand of times."
"I don't know what to say."
"Say you love me."
"I love you."
"And I.. love you more." You hugged her tighter. "You know.. I've been here for a hot minute and I can already see how we grow old and settle down in this humble abode."
"Hmm, that sounds amazing. Are we married in your vision?" She bit her lip. You shook your head. "No. I don't have anything against marrying you though." Nat raised an eyebrow. "So you'd want to be married to me?" She asked warily.
"Oh c'mon Nat, you're an amazing woman. You have skillsets like no other, you're  very intelligent and funny, you're humble and a big soft heart and let's not forget you're beautiful like a goddess. Anyone would be lucky to have you as a wife."
She turned away from you as she started to blush deeply. "Stop it or I slap you." She threatened as you nuzzled your nose back into her neck and though you couldn't see the redness in her face, you could feel the warmth radiating from her.
"I don't mind being slapped by you. Maybe you'd even do that thigh move of yours to stop be completely huh?"
"I want you to be alive."
"I trust you to not crush me. Though I wouldn't min-" She cut you off. "Get those sick thoughts out of your head Y/N. I liked you better with a rather innocent mind."
"You definitely won't get that wife title if you stop me from trying to communicate my needs with you." You loosened your grip on her to poke a finger into her side. She turned her head towards you and mumble an 'I hate you' before she leaned in to kiss you. "If I hate you is the new I love you then okay I hate you too babe." You both continued sitting there in comfortable silence.
A gust of wind blew from time to time, tossing Nat's kinda shortish hair right in your face but you didn't mind that, the birds chirped and the ducks that were on the lake quacked. The soft rustling of trees intruded your ears as if it was a soundtrack playing in the background of a movie. And then there was suddenly the noise of a bike starting and driving off. You guessed that it was Yelena leaving. But before you two got up you to go back inside, you watched some cute little ducks walking on the shore a few feet from you.
The rest of the day contained a lot of giggling, chasing each other around the house and making out. Towards the evening you had a very romantic candle light dinner that you both helped to get it done. To top it all off you two had a very intimate night with the promise of repeating everything at one point in the future.

Tumblr media
For a split second on Friday night, you had managed to convince yourself that the sooner you helped Bradley get matched up with someone, the better it would be for you personally.
You'd be able to stop thinking about him as a hot, single dad and be able to focus on him as the hot, taken dad who you occasionally babysat for. You could still go over and watch Noah when he and his girlfriend went out for a date night, which you wouldn't mind doing at all.
And that's why you had helped him get his dating app sorted out. Because the sooner you could stop thinking about eating popcorn with him on his couch, both of you in sweats, the better. There was no way that man was interested in you. Sure, he was a little flirty at times. Yeah, he had brushed your cheek when he put the crown back on your head. But it was probably all because he could tell that the babysitter had a crush on him, and he was trying to be nice.
You were surprised to hear from him on Wednesday morning when you were getting out of the shower before class.
Bradley Bradshaw: Are you available tonight?
God, it hadn't taken long for him to chat with one of the women on the app and get a date set up.
I'm free. What time do you want me to watch Noah?
You felt your shoulders sag as you got dressed. You needed to chill out. The only thing you should be worrying about later this evening was Noah and studying for your exams.
Bradley Bradshaw: I'm meeting someone at 6:30. Be here at 6?
Yeah. You would be there.
When you pulled into his driveway at 5:45, you were happy to see his Bronco was already there. You were also annoyed that Greyson was blowing up your phone. You knew what he wanted, but you had been avoiding him all week. You were beginning to think that this "ex with benefits" arrangement wasn't really working for you.
After shoving your phone into your bag, you knocked on the front door and called out, "Hi! It's me."
"We're in the kitchen."
You followed Bradley's voice, and when you spotted Noah at the table, his face lit up as he mispronounced your name. You were instantly smiling back, but that didn't last long. Because when you saw Bradley standing at the stove, he was wearing his flight jumpsuit tied low around his waist with a tight, black tee shirt.
"Hey, Princess," he said, glancing at you over his shoulder. And with just two words and some black fabric, you were a little turned on.
"How are you two boys doing?" you asked as casually as you could while watching Bradley's biceps stretching his shirt sleeves.
'Good!" Noah cheered, eating a bowl of dry cereal with his hands.
"Fine," Bradley replied. "Be a lot better if I had time to go grocery shopping. Thanks for making the spaghetti and meatballs for us." He turned to look at you again, his eyes lingering on your lips.
"Don't you need to get ready for your date?" you asked, closing the distance between the two of you.
"Yeah, but I'm starving. Need to eat something before dinner."
You looked at the pan on the stove. "What are you trying to make?"
"Eggs," he replied, turning to look down at you with a small smile. "Trying being the operative word."
"You're useless in here," you told him, pushing him toward the hallway. "Go get ready and I'll make you some eggs." His body was warm and hard, and it was clearly a mistake for you to touch him like this.
"You don't have to do that," he said, laughing as he pretended you were actually capable of pushing him around.
"I actually don't know how you managed to survive this long without me," you said, pushing him all the way to his bedroom door before he surrendered.
"You have a valid point."
You felt buoyant as you walked back to the kitchen and made Bradley an onion and cheese omelet while you sang with Noah. "You want ants on a log?" you asked, tousling his hair.
"I love them!" he cheered, but when you checked the refrigerator, there were no carrots left. Pretty much the only thing in there was the French vanilla coffee creamer, which instantly made you smile. You took it out and started brewing some coffee in Bradley's fancy coffee maker.
"Is this for me?" Bradley asked, buttoning up his Hawaiian shirt right in front of you and nodding to the omelet.
"Yep, should hold you over until your actual dinner," you said as he grabbed a fork and took a huge bite.
He moaned. He literally moaned as he ate the food you made for him. You watched him take bite after bite until it was all gone. You wished he'd use his mouth on you next.
"That was delicious. Thank you."
You just nodded and cleared your throat. "Mind if I take Noah out in the car with me? I thought he might like the bayside playground."
"Sure. I'll put his car seat in your car before I leave," Bradley said, kissing Noah on his head.
Once again, you thought about him kissing you there as he smiled and headed out for his date.
"Noah, feel like going to the playground?"
"I want ants on the logs," he insisted, having finished his cereal.
You sighed, and just as you heard Bradley pull out of the driveway, you decided to see how much money he kept behind the TV. A hundred bucks. You could go grocery shopping for a decent amount of food with a hundred dollars.
"Should we go buy more carrots and raisins?" you asked Noah, tucking the money into your pocket. "You can pick out a treat, and then I'll make you ants on the logs before bedtime."
You ended up at the grocery store, trying to make a game out of everything to keep him entertained while you tried to maximize the money. Hopefully Bradley wouldn't be annoyed, but you figured he needed as much help as he could get. Noah was sweet, but doing everything by yourself was too hard.
"More cereal?" you asked, and you let Noah pick out Cheerios. "And milk this time?"
When headed back to Bradley's house with ninety-eight dollars worth of groceries and Noah in tow, you couldn't help but imagine staying all night and getting more meals ready for them.
You managed to make Noah's snack while you unpacked the groceries. "I need my crown!" he said, running to his bedroom and returning with his yellow, construction paper crown. "Get yours, too!"
You ran your fingers along his cheek. "I don't know what happened to mine. Should we make a new one?"
Noah laughed and took you by the hand. "It's in daddy's room."
You let him lead you down the hallway. "Is it?" you asked, entering Bradley's room all the way for the first time. It was tidy and it smelled like him. But you stopped short when you saw it.
Your purple crown was hanging on one of the bedposts.
-------------------------
Bradley was actually enjoying himself. His date with Talia was going way better than either of his previous dates. Not only did she tell him she loves kids, she asked to see some pictures of Noah.
Bradley paused for a beat as he swiped past the selfie of you in the crown and the photo you had taken for his dating profile. Then he showed Talia some pictures of Noah, and she made a fuss over how adorable he was. But now Bradley was thinking about what you and Noah might be doing at home right now. He got so distracted he barely heard what Talia was asking him.
"Sorry, what was that?" he asked, watching her lick chocolate cake from her fork with mild interest.
She giggled softly. "I was asking if you wanted to plan for a second date? Maybe this weekend? When we can stay out later? You said you had a reliable babysitter."
Bradley scrutinized her face for a moment. She was pretty. She seemed really sweet. She wanted to go out with him again.
"How about I send you a message? Maybe we can make something work."
When Bradley said goodbye outside the restaurant, Talia leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, grazing his mustache as she pulled away.
"Goodnight, Bradley. Talk soon," she said with a grin. But he felt nothing.
During the short drive home, he tried to convince himself to take Talia up on her second date offer, but it just wasn't working. But when he pulled into his driveway next to your car, he found himself jumping out of the Bronco and jogging up his front steps to get inside as quickly as he could.
"Hi," you whispered, looking up from your spot on the couch. You had a textbook open on your lap, and you were wearing the paper crown. Either you or Noah must have retrieved it from his bedroom. The idea of you in there thrilled him a little too much.
"Hi," he replied with a grin. "How was Noah?"
"Good. How was your date?"
"Good." His heart was beating a little faster as you set your book aside and straightened up on the couch.
"Oh. You think you'll go out with her again?"
Bradley couldn't help but think you looked a little disappointed. "Not sure."
"I'm beginning to think you're just really, very picky, Bradley."
He blew out a breath, dropping onto the couch next to you, loving the way you said his name. "Huh. I never considered that."
"You don't like martinis. You don't like the opera. You don't like women under twenty-four or over forty. All those martini sipping, opera loving grannies of San Diego might be just what you need."
Bradley was doubled over laughing, looking at your smirk.
"I mean, who does that even leave for you to date?" you asked, clearly trying not to laugh.
You.
Jesus Christ. He needed to stop thinking about you like that. There was no chance in hell that was ever going to happen. Which was a real shame, because you made him laugh every single time he was with you.
"Oh, I hope you don't mind, but Noah and I went grocery shopping."
"You did?" he asked, his laughter turning to surprise.
"Yeah. I used the cash behind the TV," you told him with a wince. "I hope that was okay. I didn't want to bother you during dinner."
Okay? It was more than okay. He couldn't believe you had done that for him and Noah.
"I also made you dinner for tomorrow night. Chicken fajitas that you can reheat."
Now he was just staring at you blankly. "You don't have to do any of that stuff."
You just shrugged. "If you don't want me to, I won't. But honestly, Bradley? It looks like you could use the help around here. You're kind of shit in the kitchen."
"You caught onto that, huh?" he asked, involuntarily inching closer to you on the couch. "What gave it away?"
"Oh, I guess the fact that Noah asked me about a hundred times to leave more food in the little plastic containers for him."
Bradley reached out and ran his finger along your crown. "Did you wear that to the store?"
Your eyes fluttered closed briefly. "No. It wasn't until almost bedtime that Noah wanted to wear our crowns. I didn't know you kept it."
He just nodded. He should be embarrassed that it had been hanging on his bed.
"I like your bedroom," you whispered.
Bradley swallowed hard, trying to think of something to say, but you beat him to it.
"Why aren't you sure about a second date?"
His response was out before he could consider it. "Aren't there supposed to be sparks?"
You pressed your lips together and nodded. "Ideally."
"Didn't feel them," he replied with a shrug.
"Shame."
He watched you stand and stretch, just like last time. But your shirt rode up, and Bradley could see your skin, and he wanted to press his lips there. He quickly stood as well. "Um, I'll get the carseat out of your car," he mumbled. "And if you're going to insist on being exceptionally helpful again in the future, I'll leave you my credit card for groceries."
"Okay," you replied, reaching up on your toes and gently putting the crown on his head. "Want to put that back in your room for safe keeping?"
Every ounce of his being wanted to suggest you take it there yourself and wait for him.
"Okay," he told you instead.
-------------------------
Bradley paced around the hangar, waiting for his turn to hit the skies.
"What is your problem?" Nat asked him as she sat calmly on one of the benches. "I thought you'd be completely chill right now. You've been on a bunch of dates."
Bradley stopped and looked at her. "What does that have to do with anything?"
Nat just rolled her eyes. "Don't tell me you didn't get your rocks off yet?"
"No," he practically growled. "I haven't even been on a second date."
"You know, you can have one without the other, right?"
Bradley ran his hands over his face. "I don't want to start doing that."
Nat stood up and stepped in front of him, placing her hands on his chest to stop him pacing. He hadn't even been aware he had started pacing again.
"How long has it been since you were intimate with someone?"
Bradley shrugged and didn't want to look at her. "A year."
Nat wrapped her arms around him as well as she could with them both wearing their flight suits. He felt instantly better. He should have known it would be okay to talk to her about stuff.
"Oh, okay. I get it now. You need it to be special."
"Kind of," he replied, looking down at her as she nodded up at him.
"I'll stop busting your balls about it then."
"Appreciate that."
"Why don't you tell me about your dates?" she prompted, patting him on the shoulder as she released him.
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Not much to tell. Rebel just wanted to hookup. One didn't like kids. The one I went out with the other day was okay. I should have wanted a second date; I know she certainly did. But there wasn't anything really drawing me in? I don't know, Nat."
"Well, how's the babysitter working out?"
Bradley felt himself relax when he thought about you. "Oh, she's great. She's so funny," he said, smiling as he thought about you picking on him for being useless in the kitchen. "She always eats Skittles. And she knows the most random music. Did I mention she knows how to cook? Like really cook? She's good at it. And she likes fancy coffee creamers just like me. She even took Noah to the grocery store with her, so my fridge has actual food in it. And Noah asks for her all the time. She brings him coloring books, and she taught him how to sing the alphabet song backwards."
"Oh my God," Nat said, grinning wildly now. "You have a crush on your babysitter."
Bradley knew he was blushing. He could feel the immediate rush of heat to his face.
"What does she look like?" Nat asked, looking smug as hell.
Bradley huffed out a breath and looked up at the ceiling, willing the redness to recede from his cheeks. "Real cute."
Nat squealed when Bradley took his phone out and found the selfie you had sent to him. "You took a picture of her!"
He shook his head. "She sent it to me. When I was out last weekend. She and Noah made the paper crowns, and she sent me a picture of Noah first."
When Nat started to stare into his soul, he should have known he was in deep shit. "And you asked her for a selfie?" she said, exuding confidence. He nodded and she said, "You asked your cute babysitter to send you a selfie when you were on a date with another woman. No wonder your dates aren't working out!" She slapped him hard on the chest.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"You're thinking about getting your dick wet with the babysitter."
Bradley absolutely could not deny that. He'd been thinking about you in a lot of different ways, including some that were definitely not rated G.
"Nat, just because I'm thinking it doesn't mean I'm going to shoot my shot with her."
"Well, why not?" she asked, putting her helmet on as they got called out to their Super Hornets.
Bradley scoffed as he followed her out into the sunlight. "She's twelve years younger than me. She's still finishing school. I have a fucking child and a lot of baggage. The list goes on and on. I'm going to focus on finding someone suitable. Someone a little older."
"If you like her, I say go for it. But don't just fuck her because she's fun and you think she's cute. Don't do that to her. Or Noah."
Bradley was more confused than ever at the moment, and he needed to clear his head before he took off.
"I wouldn't do that to myself either, Nat." He wasn't just trying to hookup with some random woman; he could do that after an hour at the Hard Deck if he really wanted to.
"Well I want to meet her. This weekend. I'll take you out on Saturday night and meet her then."
He sighed. "I have a date on Friday. Let me see if she's even free to watch Noah both nights."
"Great," Nat replied, turning toward her own aircraft. "And then I'll be the judge of the matter of you getting your dick wet," she called over her shoulder.
Bradley cringed as the ground staff all looked at him as he power walked away.
-------------------------
Bradley asked if you could babysit Noah on back to back nights. Friday and Saturday. Was he already planning a first date followed immediately by a second date? He had probably really hit it off with someone over the app chat feature. It was the only thing that made sense, and he was just trying to cover all of his bases.
You could watch Noah both nights if you cancelled your plans to hang out with Greyson. The fact that you would rather get to see Bradley for a total of thirty minutes over spending the night with Greyson was telling.
Yeah, I can come over both nights if you pay me a bonus in fancy coffee from that shop again.
When you checked your phone at lunchtime while you ate between your classes, Bradley's response made you laugh.
Bradley Bradshaw: You mean I have to flirt with the barista again? Princess, I'll get kicked out permanently.
You were smiling nonstop as you typed out a response.
Do it for me and my caffeine needs? Besides, I doubt the barista will mind being chatted up by you in particular.
You really shouldn't be encouraging this. It was not a good idea. This man was not available for you.
Bradley Bradshaw: Oh yeah, Princess? What's that supposed to mean?
Shouldn't he be working right now? Didn't he have a jet he should be flying around in? You couldn't help yourself. You were too excited by the prospect of flirting with him.
Have you seen yourself? I have full confidence that your flirting capabilities can score me a free coffee.
You hustled along to your next class, but when you checked your phone again at the end of the day, he had texted you back again.
Bradley Bradshaw: Good to know. See you tomorrow.
-------------------------
Bradley wasn't sure why he was doing it, but he managed to leave base a little early on Friday, giving him time to stop at the coffee shop. He picked Noah up with your French vanilla coffee in his cup holder, and now the Bronco smelled sweet and reminded him of you.
"Can I play with my babysitter?" Noah asked as Bradley buckled him into his car seat.
Bradley smiled. "Sure, bub. You can play with her."
"She's my favorite," Noah said. "Is she your favorite?"
Bradley nodded at his son and said, "Yeah. She's my favorite, too."
-------------------------
And now Nat is about to get involved again. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing. I hope you enjoy your babysitter fic @beyondthesefourwalls
