Himbo!driver reader being confused on why the grid have been being mean to charles, max and oscar (most of the grid are teasing them and betting on which one is going to get reader first) when they've been getting extra nice with reader, reader at first thinks its because the grid want some more affection too so he starts being nicer then he already is to the rest of the grid which in turn leads to them thinking that reader likes the flirting (reader doesn't even realize their flirting) which ups the teasing, reader see's this as them being meaner and just starts giving most of the grid short curt answers cause he's upset with them and he wants them to stop being mean this cause's everyone to kinda freak out cause this is way out of character for reader and the only ones that done get this treatment are most of the rookies along with max, charles and oscar.

you just assumed that they're nice people (which they are, of course) and that they're just being friendly

especially because 99% of the time the other drivers act exactly the same way with you as charles and oscar do

especially with himbo!reader who may have been being flirted with forever and genuinely cannot tell the difference between normal conversation and flirting

so you're just like?? we were talking about shirts?? what's so interesting about that??

meanwhile oscar was saying your shirt was made of "boyfriend material" or something

but anyway, you think the grid is jealous that you're spending more time with charles and oscar and that you're being a bad friend

so you spend more time with them!

and then they start teasing you like they were teasing charles and oscar

and you just don't get that they're meaning it playfully

so you start pulling away again

the others think you're sending very mixed signals but you think they're sending very mixed signals and it's all just very confusing for everyone involved

your answers get shorter and shorter until they're usually monosyllabic

you go back to spending a lot of time with charles and oscar

and the rookies because ... well, why not

they're also less bold in terms of how they talk to you so they kinda never leave the cheesy shy flirting stage

which to you is just like ... shy and slightly more affectionate talking

like you've definitely called them "babe" without thinking about it on more than one occasion and been totally oblivious to them basically turning into strawberries/tomatoes/ferraris (pre-hp)

they genuinely don't know how to get it through your head that they all want you to be their boyfriend

in interviews you're just like "yeah we're really good friends haha"

and they're like ?? excuse me?

i think at some point you kind of just start dating without anyone actually asking

like hugs turn into cuddles turn into kisses turn into make out sessions turn into-

you get the picture

and eventually the others will realise that you just didn't think that the teasing was playful so they'll apologise and explain

by that point the whole internet and the whole paddock are trying to figure out who you're dating

when somebody points this out to you then have to go

"... fuck who AM i dating??"

lastly

the shared google calendar becomes sacred

time blocked out with you cannot be crossed/intruded on unless in emergencies

Ok hear me out on scarlet x glory tho-

When scarlet is hiding (after the dragonets an peril run away from the arena) she keeps thinking about how much she hates glory for shooting venom at her face obviously. She wants revenge on her. But her thoughts slowly go from angry to jealous of how beatiful she is and how much she wants her back on her the marble tree. And so she starts dreamvisiting her and telling herself its cos she wants to torment her but its really cos she wants to admire her scales and tell her about how she wouldnt hate her like her friends do and she would be alot happier in her kingdom (kinda like peril)
