Like what do you mean a professional guitarist gets accused of murder by Some Guy and one of his bandmates backs it up because he's upset the dude couldn't play a fucking quarter-note triplet correctly. What do you mean he uses that as evidence he did the murder. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE WAS RIGHT

I don’t know if anyone else has ever thought about this but the fact that Franziska’s theme sounds so similar to Edgeworth’s (not DL-6, the great revival one), even down to the name, is so interesting. It really works with her character arc, being so frustratingly overshadowed by her father and brother and perhaps even seen as merely service to Edgeworth’s arc at the very least. Evoking the way she follows them to America for a chance at vengeance, the last echo of both at the beginning of JFA. But when you listen to them, there’s clear differences even though they still do sound similar. Franziska is her own person and she exercises her own agency to follow the truth in T&T. Long after the snap of her father’s finger fades from memory, the crack of her whip remains. She faces Edgeworth instead of being his stand-in. She is Franziska von Karma and she will not walk in his shadow forever.

She’s not an echo anymore.

Thinking about how canonically Kristoph has some repressed trauma that is in some way linked to why he killed Smith. And how the tipping point was Phoenix getting chosen over him. And how Kristoph is implied to have been controlling over Klavier to some degree. And how Klavier has major perfectionist tendencies both when it comes to music and also when it comes to law if it’s in front of Kristoph.

I need more details on these guy’s backstory cuz so much of this just makes me curious. Personally I think that the parents knew something was up with Kristoph and majorly favoured Klavier. Cut to Kristoph getting all jealous and being controlling over Klavier. I also think Kristoph and/or their parents had pretty high standards which is why Klavier has this perfectionist complex. Possibly why Kristoph also holds this presentation of perfection

The other day I was showing my trumpet student a score on my iPad and as I swapped apps he saw my background and asked if it was ace attorney.

I went into immediate nerd mode and suddenly I was showing him fun arrangements people have uploaded on musescore as well as my own quintet arrangements I am working on for both Turnabout Sisters (2001) and the Turnabout Sisters ballad.

I was also yapping with another student when she was packing up after a lesson and I found out she plays stardew and we got so excited. I found an arrangement of the stardew overture for trumpet, tweaked it a little so it would be all in her range and not have a million and one sharps, and then sent it to her. Two days later at an event at the school her friend told me she had not stopped talking about it and playing it and it made me deadass want to cry because when I started teaching this girl in August she was on the verge of quitting trumpet and now she's so excited about playing again.

Anyway being a young music teacher to teenagers is very fun because we have shared interests in things like games and it makes it so easy to find music that makes them excited to play and want to practice

For some people, being an Ace Attorney fan is scouring a character's wiki for anything you missed, looking at the citations, re-reading an article, realizing there's a whole other slew of articles on the website, and getting fic recommendations from Janet Hsu in an article from 2017. Reading them say that they themselves can't post some of the fics they normally read due to content or ship pairings makes me feel strangely validated
