Note
actually there's only two (potentially three, depends what's going on with calamity ganon) iterations of ganon. the ganon from fsa is the only unique ganon. all other ganons are just the same one from ocarina of time. like the dude just keeps coming back.
Ahh yeah I completely forgot about that. Sorry I usually don't pay too much attention to Ganon Lore.
But now that you reminded me, you're right. And I'm about to go on a long ramble, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
So there's Demise, whatever Four had going on, and then Big Bad Ganon from OOT.
From there, OOT splits off in three different timelines: Hero dies (Basketball), Times original timeline, and the 7 years future timeline where Time defeated and sealed Ganon.
From there, is Basketball timeline, Ganon wins and becomes the pig monster that we know and love from Zelda 1. Hyrule defeats him in his game, and it becomes known that only his spilled blood can revive Ganon. So... It's pretty safe to assume Hyrule eventually dies and Ganon is resurrected nice and pretty for Legend to fight. (Edit: I somehow forgot Legends games are before Hyrule's. I'm sorry. I'm a sham. A fake fan. Everyone point and laugh I deserve it. But my point here still stands.)
In the original timeline, Ganon is apparently sealed away and eventually breaks out of the seal for Twilight to fight and resealed. Running under the assumption that Warriors is in the original timeline, then the Ganon in Hyrule Warriors could technically still be the same.
Now we have 7 years, which I'm personally not sure about because I haven't played any Wind games, but from context clues I'm assuming the Ganon that Time defeated escaped being sealed and ended up being stabbed through the head by Wind and resealed.
Botw is an interesting situation because, officially, Botw takes place in with all three timelines merged together. However, thanks to the botw2's trailer we do see a corpse of Ganon itself, sealed away, which makes it safe to assume that Calamity Ganon... Isn't Ganon, but the pure essence of Demise itself. HOWEVER, we can also assume based of Demise's original defeat, that reincarnation between Hylia, the Hero, and Demise himself is all possible, so it's possible that the body of Ganon that is sealed away ISN'T Time's Ganon, but a reincarnation.
So, running off of assumption:
Sky's Demise and Wild's Calamity Ganon are the same: Ganon 1.
Four's Ganon is a random Ganon 2
While Time's Ganon runs around in three different timelines being sealed and resealed, it would be easier to categorize each timelines Ganon as different people. Basketball: Ganon 3. Original: Ganon 4. 7 year: Ganon 5.
Assuming the Botw2 sealed corpse is a completely different reincarnation (and also probably 10k!Ganon): Ganon 6.
This separation between Ganons makes most sense to me personally hah, but thank you for bringing that up!
