10) What are your headcanons for these characters? (From this ask game a while back)

Faye

Of the Ram Gang, she's best friends with Kliff - mostly because they're both the right amount of antisocial to give each other the space they need.

She had a bad first impression of Clair. Sure, jealousy was part of it, but she also felt Clair was looking down on her with her... unique questions. Eventually they got on better terms and became friends over their mutual hatred of Slayde of all things.

When Silque mentioned she not only ate but enjoyed eating raw flour, Faye was horrified and dragged her off to bake together. May or may not have just been an excuse to hang out. (and of course she made excuses for Alm when they mentioned he ate flour too)

In general, Faye is like a cat. She doesn't like strangers (especially knights, thanks Slayde), she's very reluctant to make new friends and would rather stay in her comfort zone, but if you manage to earn her trust and affection she will show you her love however she can. Also she's super clingy and loves physical affection.

Ironically, her relationship with Alm actually got better after he rejected her. (...after a long period of misery ofc) They got to be proper friends after she stopped putting him on a pedestal, coupled with some unexpected teasing from Faye, and they're on better terms with each other now that she stopped seeing . They're a duo that would be miserable romantically, but get along great once romantic love is completely out of the question. Helps that Alm can read Faye very well, often better than she can herself, so he's a great support for her. ...Especially for romantic advice, since Faye got self-concious over how obsessive and overbearing she was with Alm and does not want to repeat it.

Faye adores Celica, and always has from the very beginning. She was who she considered her best friend when they were kids, Faye was the one who taught Celica how to make flower crowns. And, next to Alm, she was the one who was most devastated when she left Ram. Through the following years she wanted to see Celica again, but unlike Alm she never thought she actually would. Or that Celica would remember her, anyway. That would break her heart even more. Yeah and also Faye definitely crushed on her since she was a kid but never realized it because she's an oblivious bisaster of a woman

Celica

You mentioned on one of your headcanons that Celica used to be afraid of fire due to... well... but had to face it to learn black magic, and I had a similar one! The difference in mine is that I think Celica forcing herself to wield fire wasn't just to learn black magic, but deliberately did so to conquer her fear. She doesn't just use the Fire spell after all, she can also use Ragnarok and Ragnarok Omega, not to mention conjure fire to make light as if it were nothing! She didn't just learn to wield fire, she mastered it. What used to be a source of fear for her became a symbol of her strength.

She remembers everything from her brief time as a Witch. Mainly how she felt a giant hole in her heart, slowly started to forget who she was, had no control over her own body and felt a desperate longing for a purpose. She vowed to never forget what she felt, and after she becomes Queen she starts secretly helping Sonya in her rehabilitation of Witches. If there's no way to restore them to their original selves, at least to help them get better so they can have a new life of their own.

She chose to crown herself as Queen Celica, not Anthiese. That old name brought her nothing but pain, while Celica was the beginning of her new life. All of her friends call her Celica, even after her identity as a princess becomes public, while most of those who call her Anthiese are either formally related to her position as a royal or assholes. (like come on do you think Jedah would be above deadnaming?) The only exception is Conrad, the only good memory left from her life as Anthiese, but eventually she asks his brother to call her Celica at first. Conrad doesn't immediately get it right, but he forces himself to refer to her as Celica until it becomes natural to him.

If she was a common person and wasn't burdened by her responsibilities as a princess, she'd be the silliest woman ever.

Also, more of a joke one considering how many women seem to adore Celica, but she's a living wlw detector. Everyone who sees her thinks "fuck, I think I'm in love."

most bullshit FE map you've ever played?

Ok so, there's a couple of options here.

Fuga's wild ride in Fates, some particular desert maps in other games (i mind echoes' less due to Genny's summon and archer range).

They're a bit tedious and just unfun impediments.

Same turn reinforcements, especially in most maps of New Mystery, they're absolutely cracked. The last map of the prologue combines infinite reinforcements and same turn reinforcements, right next to the boss it's kinda nuts.

My favourite bullshit though is Thracia's 24x with the invisible warp tiles that send you to areas you just cannot get out of without a rescue staff. That's just the right kind of evil to be hilarious when it happens.

I'll have to admit, I've never seen that term before and I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean, even after rooting around for a bit. I'll be sure to answer properly if I can get an explanation!

💚 Conrad for @hypergammaspaces with the Valentine's asks!

After getting accustomed to a fairly solitary childhood, Conrad is mesmerized by how much community is involved in every holiday, including the Day of Devotion. He doesn’t get involved in any of the romance, he just loves the way everyone comes together to enjoy meals and parties and gift giving. He goes crazy getting everyone in his life a gift/writing a letter to tell them how much they mean to him. He delivers everything in his mask because he’s a bit embarrassed, still.  

He tries very hard to give Celica her space and not come off as the overprotective big brother getting in her way and only occasionally succeeds. It isn’t even that he distrusts her partner – he just can’t help but want to look out for her. Celica is very sweet, though, and will let him chaperone her without much complaining. It’s usually others from their army who drag him away, convincing him to hang with them instead of bothering her. Saber and Jesse take him out drinking with some of the other mercenaries and have a nice night out.

His favorite part is the music! There are plenty of parties, dances, and parades going on around the royal family, so he can easily spend the day on his toes. He always keeps up on the current tavern songs and festival dances so that he doesn’t miss a single one. Whether he uses his cool and confident masked persona or his more shy side, he has the rare ability to coax even the most reluctant person onto the dance floor with him. He never dances with the same person twice; people assume it’s his way of telling others he’s not flirting, but secretly it’s also his way of dancing with as many people as possible.

Drama CD - "Foreign Skies, Daybreak Forest"

Taking place in Act 4 soon after the Deliverance crosses the Rigel border, this drama CD features Alm, Faye, Silque, Tobin, Kliff, Lukas, Forsyth, and Python, as well as three Rigelian characters not used elsewhere. Information here is considered a primary source, and this is the only quasi-official source of information about Alm's mother.

While Clive and Mathilda return to Zofia to quell dissent among the nobility in the wake of Desaix's defeat, the Deliverance are attacked by Rigelian child soldiers armed with cursed weapons. Alm's compassion and sense of justice lead him to try and reach out to these children rather than attack them with military force, and he discovers that they are orphans marginalized by brutal Rigelian customs and being used as pawns by the Duma Faithful. Alm reckons with the reality that Rigelians are not his enemies, but the systemic oppression they face from the empire and death-cult that rules over them, and through his compassion he meets some kindred spirits. Contains some really great characterizations of the Lukas/Python/Forsyth trio as well.

Text translation was done by @garmmy on their translations blog. A subtitled video playlist was created using garmmy's translations with the original audio by @fudgenomnomnom.

Valentia Comic Anthology

Includes over 100 4koma (4-panel, half-page) comics, as well as longer-form one-shots of 8 or more pages. Material here is more akin to fan comics and is thus considered a secondary source.

The 4koma have all been translated and hosted by Kantopia on their blog.

The one-shots are not all in the same place, and not all have been translated yet. Four have been done by @mystletainn a few years ago, while @hypergammaspaces is picking up the remaining chapters:

As Comrades, by Itagaki Hako - TL: mystletainn. Faye resolves to do whatever she can to help carry Alm's burdens, and brings the Ram boys along. Alm proves he loves his friends as much as they love him.

Sweet Delivery, by Watarizora Tsubamemaru - TL: mystletainn. Atlas fails to guard Mae and Leon's fresh-baked cookies, so he, Saber, and Jesse agree to gather the ingredients to replace them.

Fieldwork in Zofia, by Shiroishi Kotoni - TL: mystletainn. Taking place shortly before Act 3, Kliff ventures out to survey the lands north of Zofia Castle and encounters a certain masked knight who has more in common with him than either of them expect.

Only My Big Brother, by Kirai Yuu - TL: mystletainn. Tired of being ignored by Valbar, Leon ropes Kamui into helping him find the perfect boyfriend.

Know Your Enemy and Know Yourself, by Temo Uchida - TL: hypergammaspaces. Lukas and Forsyth try to encourage Kliff to take his combat duties seriously.

Future Wife, by Reku Hayase - TL: hypergammaspaces. Mathilda navigates her thoughts about her future with Clive as she reconciles Clair's expectations of her. Lukas is there too.

Let's Go To Ram Village, by Kazuomi Mochizuki - TL: hypergammaspaces. Translation is in-progress. Clair, having just met the Deliverance, asks to see what life in Ram Village is like, and Alm agrees to show her. Faye isn't too happy about this, but finds common ground with Clair by the end.

There are at least three more chapters yet untranslated which will be linked here as they are completed.

Rise of the Deliverance DLC

This was a set of four story maps set in the year-and-a-half or so before the events of Act 1. Focused around Clive, Fernand, Mathilda, Clair, Lukas, Forsyth, and Python, this added supports and memory prisms between these characters as well as story map dialogue. Scripts, memory prisms, and additional support transcriptions were found on a Serenes Forest forum post by user godzillahomer.

Gaiden manga

One-volume manga by Masaki Sano and Kyo Watanabe, published by Asuka Comics DX. Partial scans have been found on the Fire Emblem (Fandom) Wiki, but no complete scans or translations have been found as of this post. This is the one where Desaix stabs Kliff to death (hence Kliff joking about "maybe we can all get impaled on the same lance" in SoV). Many characters are entirely absent, while both Deen and Sonya appear in Celica's party.

Gaiden novelization

A light novel with a few illustrations throughout. Based heavily on the author's personal playthrough, Silque thus features prominently as she basically hard-carried Alm's party. Neither English FE wiki has a page about this adaptation. I have an acquaintance who owns it but I'm not aware of any full scans/translations available as of this post. This is the one where Kliff and Silque are half-siblings with the same father.

Rosy and I got to the part in Sacred Echoes where Forsyth gushes about how he'd like to be able to get a nice new set of armor (one that would provide more protection from Python's arrows, teehee). I imagined Forsyth's new fancy armor should be decorated with forsythia flowers. I don't think that would be too hamfisted for the guy who named his lance the Forscythe, hehe.

We both decided to draw our take on the idea, and here's mine! And Rosy's drawing is almost done. :)

...We had assumed the special Forscythe weapon was from FE2 and/or FE15, but after a bunch of failed wiki searches, we found @hypergammaspaces write-up about it, and realized that it's unique to Sacred Echoes. The scene talking about the new armor is also unique to Sacred Echoes. So, this is fanart specifically for Sacred Echoes, haha! I haven't played the other games, but I accept both ideas as canon. :P

Un sacco, la musica, i personaggi, il fantastico doppiaggio... E' quasi difficile da spiegare, diciamo che è più il pacco completo di Echoes che ha reso giocarlo per la prima volta davvero speciale.

Lo so che continuo a ripeterlo ma... Conrad.

Non ho un problema con l'aggiunta di un fratello per Celica e la sua personalità è ok ma... esiste letteralmente solo per salvare Celica da situazioni in cui non aveva bisogno di essere salvata in Gaiden.

Non avrei avuto un problema se avesse assunto solo un ruolo di guida o cacchio, anche solo che si fosse limitato ad aiutare Celica come nel loro primo incontro invece di continuare a salvarla (e lo schiaffo, non scordiamoci dello schiaffo...), ma il suo ruolo nella storia mi dà un fastidio tremendo perchè non è per nulla necessario e detrae dalla libertà di scelta di Celica nella sua stessa storia.

Puoi scusare il sessismo di Echoes quanto vuoi con "è un remake di un vecchio gioco di Kaga", ma stronzate come questa sono originali.

Ho già fatto un word dump riguardo al classismo in Echoes, quindi parlo un attimo dell'altro tema principale.

Funziona bene ed è semplice ed efficace, ma avrei davvero voluto avere più dettagli sulla filosofia di Mila e Duma prima che andasse tutto allo sfacelo, e la conclusione funziona bene...

Anche se ammetto di essere di più dalla parte di Mila, e diciamo che avrei preferito un altro problema con la sua ideologia che non sia "non possiamo dare a tutti da mangiare e vivere senza lavorare e soffrire perchè poi diventano piiiiiigri!". Ugh.

Oltre a loro due, Faye/Clair sarebbe stato divertente, Luthier/Kliff per amicizia tra due nerd associali, Silque/Jesse per il loro Memory Prism assieme e Faye/Celica e Kliff/Celica visto che sono reclutabili nella sua route :D

Questi sono quelli che mi vengono in mente al momento, ma sicuramente ce ne sono molti altri che sarebbero molto belli da vedere e che ho il leggero sospettano esistano in Sacred Echoes wink wink ;)

Aw thank you for tagging me!! And @amugoffandoms, I hope you don't mind putting my reply here ;-; It was fun, and I got to learn a bit about new characters!

For Gunsli, I didn't know any of the characters before lol but there seems to be a mix who are focused and skilled at helping the people that mean a lot to them, and ones who are balancing a very different interior and exterior personality. For Mug, there also seems to be a theme of characters putting on a bubbly exterior but with a cold (affectionate) and very focused personality hiding underneath that they don't necessarily like.

For me I'm going with Shigeo Kageyama (mp100), Lukas (fe echoes), Mahiru Shiina (milgram), Yor Forger (spy x family)

Can't comment on Ferdinand von Aegir, since I haven't played 3H so the only thing I know about Ferdinand von Aegir is that he is Ferdinand von Aegir.

OK I'm not well versed with GBA characters (the support system sucks and I don't want to spend hours watching supports online), but from what you wrote about Lucius I can definitely understand why you'd have a crush on him :D
