Prompt: Hello could I get a scenario for EXIDs Hyelin Soulmate au where you were both born have matching face tattoos? Can you make it a little angsty but with a happy ending? Thanks!

A/N: I love Hyelin and I have been waiting to write something for her for so long. I really hope I did this prompt justice. Also, imagining all these girls with tattoos? Heck yes. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

Why fate had chosen you as its unfortunate victim, you didn’t know. Still, it was a question that you had been asking yourself ever since you were old enough to realize that you were different. Five years old, standing on your tippy-toes to be able to see your reflection in the mirror, you asked your mother about it for the first time.

“Mom, why me? Why does nobody else look like me?” But she never had an answer.

Now, years later, you’d developed thicker skin. The stares didn’t really bother you as much, and you’d accepted the fact that you couldn’t really cover it up. After high school, the confidence to dismiss the rude comments and questions arose, and it became normal. Just like everyone else’s soulmate tattoo was normal to them.

The only thing was that, while most people had their tattoos on the normal places, like ankles, wrists, and arms, you had yours right beside your eye. It was a small paper airplane, with dots behind it that had developed in high school. When you were younger, it had been obvious that it was a soulmate tattoo, despite the odd placement. But as you’d grown older, you’d had to go to great lengths to convince your employers that, yes, it was a soulmate tattoo, and no, you had not chosen to get it there.

Still, now that you were an adult in college, it didn’t bother you as much. With a secured job at a local restaurant and an apartment you shared with two close friends, life wasn’t that bad. Even if you still got some weird looks from time to time.

Now, you stood behind the host desk at your job and fiddled with a pen as you watched the tv. It was slow, after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush, and the restaurant was pretty much empty. The only two tables belonged to your coworker, and you were bored.

“Wednesdays are the worst,” the hostess, Amber, said from her spot beside you, doodling on a piece of receipt paper. “Why do we even have to be here right now.”

“Well, we have to be here to serve the weirdos who eat late lunch or early dinner.”

“I don’t think you can talk about other people being weird,” Amber said, giving you a small grin. You rolled your eyes and shoved her hand away when she reached up to poke at your soulmate tattoo.

“Says the one that has so many tattoos you can’t even tell which one is the soulmate one.” Shrugging, Amber set down her pen.

“I already have my soulmate and she’s amazing, so there’s no need show it anymore.”

“Whatever you say, weirdo.” She bumped her hip against yours, and you bumped hers back, and then the both of you burst into laughter. This was normal, two weirdos that nobody else might have accepted teasing each other about their shared anomalies.

“What are you two losers laughing about up here.” Hani’s voice sounded from behind the two of you, and you both jumped, spinning around to look at her. Your fellow server had her hands on her hips, but a smile on her lips, and she wiggled her eyebrows. “Come on, let me in on the joke.”

“No, this conversation is for weirdos only,” Amber said, to which Hani rolled her eyes and leaned into Amber.

“So you’re excluding the girl with a giant rose garden soulmate tattoo on her neck.”

“Good point,” you said, looking down at the impressive design on Hani’s neck, made obvious by her low-neck black tee. She looped her arms around your shoulders and sighed.

“Even with fellow outcasts, I am but an outcast.”

“You’re a drama queen,” Amber said, and Hani stuck out her tongue at her.

“Whatever. My friends are coming in soon so don’t embarrass me,” she said, looking down at the table assignment sheet, ignoring Amber’s remark of “you have friends?” “(Y/N), are you going to get mad at me if I take another table?”

“Yes, I need to make money too, Hani.” She gave you a pout, trying to turn on some underlying cuteness. But it wasn’t going to work. You knew Hani too well to fall for that. “I need the money, so I’ll take the table, but it’s not like you can’t talk to them. The restaurants empty.” As if to prove your statement, one of the old couples that had been sitting in Hani’s section got up to leave.

“Well, okay, fine.” Hani sighed and let her arms fall away from your shoulders. Almost immediately, though, she perked up. “I can’t wait for you guys to meet my friends!”

“Are they as weird as you are?” Amber asked, and Hani shot her a look.

“First you exclude me from the weirdo conversation, then you act like I’m weirder than you.” Amber shrugged and Hani elbowed her. “But to answer your question, yeah. The only kinda normal one is our mom, Solji.”

“Is she the one who took you to the hospital after you tried to skateboard with Amber that one time?”

“That’s the one! She’s pretty normal. She has a cute little cat tattoo on her wrist. Looks normal and everything. Then there’s her soulmate, Elly. Elly looks like she could kill you, but she has the same soulmate tattoo as Solji obviously so she’s not too bad. Then there’s Junghwa, she’s the youngest and she’s super weird. She laughs so high pitched it sounds like a dolphin. And her soulmate tattoo is on her neck too but it’s small. I don’t remember what it is though.”

“What a nice friend you are.”

“Shut up. Then there’s Hyelin, who’s probably the weirdest of us all. She’s just.... Special. But I love her.” Hani turned to look at you and tilted her head slightly. “Now that I think of it, she has a tattoo by her eye too. I’m not sure if it’s the same as yours though.” You tried to ignore the hope that swelled up in your chest, swallowing it down and giving Hani a look.

“It’s not nice to joke with people like that, you know.”

“I’m being serious! She has a soulmate face tattoo! But she wears a lot of makeup because of her job so I don’t always see it. So I don’t know what it is.” She squinted at you, narrowing her eyes. “Why are you so pessimistic about finding your soulmate? That’s the whole reason you have the tattoo, you know.” You shrugged your shoulders and looked back down at the pen you’d been fiddling with.

“I don’t know. My mom was never too optimistic of me ever finding someone so I kind of lost hope. I hadn’t met anyone with a soulmate tattoo anywhere near their face until I met you, so I figured it might have been a mistake. That, or my soulmate and I would both be covering up our tattoos when we met and so never realize that we were soulmates.” You could feel the weight of Hani and Amber’s gazes on you, and it felt uncomfortable.

“(Y/N), the universe wouldn’t do that to someone. My mom always said that, if you were meant to be together, the universe would make it so that you realized it,” Amber said, reaching over to place her hand on your arm. “Even if you think it’s impossible, you’ll find your soulmate someday.” This all felt a bit too intimate, exposing fears you thought you’d buried down deep to ignore, and you laughed, pulling away from Amber.

“Really, guys, I’m fine. It doesn’t bother me that much anymore.” And really, it didn’t. You didn’t think of it much. It was just that, when you did think of it, it was so depressing that you buried it down deep again in the attempt to forget it. Neither of them looked like they believed you, though, and you stood up straight, looking out the window at the car driving up. “That’s probably them now. I’ll go get a water jug ready.”

Maybe escaping to the back was kind of cowardly, but you couldn’t bear to sit in the awkward situation any longer. As you entered the kitchen, you sighed and shook your head, telling yourself to get it together. You didn’t want to be like this in front of customers, especially Hani’s friends. So you filled up your water jug, checked your appearance in the mirror, and waited until Amber had seated them in your section to come back out from the kitchen.

They seemed like a lively enough group, joking and talking with Hani who stood at their table, and you took a deep breath as you approached their table, putting on a smile.

“Hey, guys, welcome. Can I get you guys started with something to drink?” They all looked over at you, and you recognized Solji, who gave you a bright smile. Still, there seemed to be someone missing. There were only three of them at the table.

“(Y/N), it’s nice to see you again,” Solji said, just as Hani leaned forward and started pointing at people.

“This is Solji, you know her. This one is Elly, she doesn’t bite, I promise. And that’s Junghwa, she never shuts up.” Junghwa made a loud, offended gasp, and you shook your head, smiling as you began to fill up their glasses with water.

“Sounds like you, Hani.”

“Whatever, I shut up sometimes. Anyway, Hyelin isn’t here yet, she’s running late ‘cause she wanted to change after work before coming over here.” You nodded your head to confirm that you’d understood Hani and began to take their drink orders before heading back into the kitchen. When you came back out with a tray of drinks, there was another girl sitting with them with her back to you. When you approached the table, she turned to look up at you, and you took in her face with a glance. No face tattoo to be seen.

“You must be Hyelin,” you said, giving her a smile as you sat down the drink her friends had ordered for her in front of her. She nodded her head and gave you a wide smile, but then her eyes drifted up to your eyes and her smile seemed to falter. You payed it no mind, used to the reaction, and instead pulled out your notepad. “Are you guys ready to order?”

After some light arguing and deliberation, they gave you your orders, and you disappeared into the back again, trying not to feel disappointed. Hyelin had seemed weird when you took her order, voice wavering a bit, but she didn’t seem to have a face tattoo like you were told. This was why you never got your hopes up, you said to your self as you keyed in their order. 

When you came back out of the kitchen and glanced at the table as you walked to the host stand, you noticed that Hani was back by their side, and they were all speaking hushed about something. Hyelin had her head down slightly, and they all seemed to be speaking to her. But really, it was none of your business, so you turned away and went back to stand by Amber and listen to her complain about something she’d just seen on the news.

It wasn’t until their food was ready that you went back to their table. Hyelin was nowhere to be seen, but you placed her food down in her spot anyway before putting everyone else’s dishes down in front of them. It was when you were asking if anyone needed anything else that you heard someone clear their throat behind you. When you turned around, Hyelin was standing there, looking a bit nervous with her hair covering part of her face.

“Do you need anything?” You asked, putting on your professional smile, and she shook her head.

“No, I mean. Well.” She then looked directly at you and her hair fell away from her face as she lifted a hand to point at her eye. It was only then that you realized she’d taken off her makeup, and there, by her eye, was a tattoo of a paper airplane that looked just like yours. “I think we might be soulmates.” You were glad you’d put down everything breakable, because you dropped the ketchup bottle in your hands in shock, mouth dropping open.

“Wait.” You felt dizzy almost, not believing what you were seeing. Was this real life?

“See, I told you,” Hani’s voice said from behind you, before she was hushed by three of her friends. Hyelin licked her lips and gave you a shy smile.

“I was really surprised to see you. I thought I’d never meet my soulmate.” Finally, it sank in. This was real. A wave of relief washed over you, and it was like a weight had been taken off your shoulders.

“Me too. I- I’m glad to finally meet you.” Then, you looked at her. Really looked at her. She was cute, with cheeks flushed pink and her short hair dyed almost purple at the tips. Her eyes seemed to sparkle, and you could feel your cheeks heating up.

“Oh my god, they’re so cute,” Junghwa squealed, and you could hear Hani high-five her behind you. Hyelin shot her friends a look before looking back at you.

“So, uh, can I have your number?”

“Of course,” you said, pulling your phone out in record time. As Hyelin put in her number, Hani popped up at your side.

“You know, this is the most normal I’ve ever seen her. Usually she’s a bigger weirdo than me.” Hyelin wrinkled her nose and handed you back her phone.

“Please don’t expose me to my soulmate,” she said, and you smiled, shaking your head.

“It’s okay, I’m pretty weird myself.” Hyelin laughed, and the sound echoed in your head. You felt like you were floating, and you could hardly believe that it was real. But it was, and as she stood there trying to get Hani to stop cooing over her and as Amber joined the mix, you grinned. Life was really looking up after all.

She would be taken aback, a hand going up to her lips once you’ve kissed her, nervous giggles reaching your ears. She would try to hide behind her hand, and you would find it very endearing.

Goes silent and doesn’t know what to say at first. 

Talks to you in private. Asks you what happened that you needed to do such thing.

Wants to be sure that it is not something that haunts you. She’ll let you know she’s there for you.

Gathers the other members to address the topic and for everyone to be on the same page about you and your feelings and the matter itself.

LE:

“YOU DID WHAT?”

Lots of thoughts running through her head, like why you didn’t say anything earlier.

Will ask LOTS of question without letting you answer. Not because she’s angry but because she can’t wrap her head around it.

Doesn’t want to hurt your feelings and would tell you to talk about it later because she can’t think straight after being surprised by your secret.

Later on, she’d apologize for reacting that way and asks you if you want to talk about it.

Hani:

Thinks it’s a joke at first. She’d laugh hysterically

You’ll show her the tape to prove yourself. “Oh, so you did do it!”. 

While nervously laughing through the tape, she’d watch up to where the real stuff starts happening. She’d stand up and stop the tape. “No. This is not okay”.

She’d hug you and tell you that what’s in the past, it’s in the past, also letting you know that if you want to talk about it, you can tell her as much you want to, and if you don’t, she respects your decision.

Hyelin:

“OMG NO WAY, ARE YOU SERIOUS?”

“Yah, let’s watch it” she’d say with a mouth wide open.

The truth is that she’s using humor to not make a big deal about it. She’d hate for you to think that she judges you for going through a rough time.

Would get really serious if you want to express your feelings. 

After listening to you, she would tell you not to be silly, that you are the same awesome person she loves.

Jeonghwa:

Utterly shocked.

She doesn’t know what to say. She’d grab your hand and look at you speechless.

Being the youngest, she’d want to bring the topic up to let you know you can talk to her but she doesn’t know how to do it.

Comforts you by doing your chores, buying you food and checking up on you multiple times a day.

She’d finally gather enough courage to ask you to forgive her for being a lousy friend. You two would hug while crying.

SOLJI 

One day she found your social media profile. At first, she wanted to just ignore it, but she couldn’t have helped her longing to see you. Solji instantly recognized you and went through all of your pictures. Since then, your sister has been actively stalking your profile without giving you any sign. And she probably would have kept this up, but at some point you just stopped posting. That’s when she became worried. She didn’t want to interfere with your personal life because she wasn’t a part of it for so long. In Solji’s mind you didn’t need her anymore, so trying her best to not disturb you seemed like the best option for her. But with every day of your silence, she became more and more worried. In the end she couldn’t take it and sent you a message, in which she explained the situation and asked you to meet up. You couldn’t believe it at first. Only after you confirmed that she is indeed your sister, you agreed for her to come to your apartment. At first, it was kind of awkward, but after some time you two ended up just chatting casually. The atmosphere was really calm and pleasant, but at some point you came up with a seemingly cool idea. You pulled out your wallet and took out a photo from your childhood, in which you both were eating ice cream with bright smiles. As soon as Solji saw it, she started tearing up. And as expected, you ended up crying too. After that you continued meeting up and working on getting to know each other again.

She found you on the internet and instantly decided to hit you up and arrange a meeting. Hyojin suggested that you should meet up in a popular cafe, so it would feel less awkward and more comfortable. You quickly agreed and expressed to her how excited you were. For sure, LE was really pumped up as well, but she was also extremely stressed. She wanted to show you her best side, so you won’t be disappointed in how she turned out after so many years. She spent all night worrying about what she should wear, what to say and how to ask you to arrange a next meeting. In the end she showed up looking like a literal goddess, but started crying as soon as she saw you. She hugged you tightly and smeared her make up and snot on your shirt. You slowly patted her back while she apologized for being such a mess. 

HANI 

She spotted you on her way to the gym, and she almost spit out her drink. You turned around hearing the weird noise and didn’t recognize her at first. Hani felt extremely shy and self-conscious under your gaze, but also very happy. She couldn’t believe that she finally got to see you again. Heeyeon ran up to you and hugged you so hard that you almost choked on the spot. You still haven’t recognized her yet, so you squealed out in surprise and tried to get out of her deadly grip. That’s when she started apologizing and shyly backed away. She felt so disappointed and took it as a sign that you don’t want anything to do with her. Hani started to tear up a little, and at that moment you finally saw your sister in her. You immediately apologized and caught her wrist, so she won’t go away. Colors came back to her previously pale face, and she started asking you questions about how your life has been going. She was so excited that she got a chance to reconnect with you. 

HYELIN 

She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw you in a supermarket. You were looking at a shelf filled with shampoos, so you didn’t notice that someone has been staring at you. But as soon as you picked out your favorite product and turned around, you saw Hyelin and immediately recognized her. You both looked at each other with pure shock. She stayed silent and seemed to be a little hesitant. It looked like she didn’t want to reconnect, but she was just scared. You could’ve changed so much since she last saw you, which made her feel insecure. In the end you slowly came up to her. Hyelin instantly started crying which resulted in you pulling her into a tight hug. Please tell her that she’s still your sister and you love her very much. She missed you so much that she almost couldn’t go on with her life after you disappeared. 

JEONGHWA 

You went to their fan meeting with an intention of surprising her, but it turned out to be a pretty bad idea. She almost fainted right on the spot when she saw you and couldn’t believe that she wasn’t dreaming. Jeonghwa instantly started crying and ran up to you ignoring everything that was happening around her. She hugged you tightly while Solji explained the situation for the fans. In the end you had to get her out of the venue because it was hard for her to breathe because of the initial shock. After you went out, Jeonghwa continued to bawl her eyes out while clinging onto you. After that you two became pretty much inseparable. She will never leave your side again.

She watched the guy approach you for the 3rd time this night. She wasn’t the type to get jealous but she was more annoyed than anything. 

“What are those two even talking about?” she thought getting closer. When she was only metres away, she heard the guy begin speaking again.

“Why are you even with someone like her? I’m sure there are way more better choices for you out there. Like me for example,” he said gesturing at his body. You were about to tell that guy to leave you alone for the third time this night when Hyerin came up and pushed him away from you.

“It’s a real shame nobody asked for your opinion, you know. So how about you find somebody else to piss off?”

“Whatever,” the guy said, finally taking his leave.

“Oh my God Hyerin, thank you for saving me!” you gave her a big hug. “I thought he will stay here forever.”

Though sometimes she felt like you forgot who you were dealing with. Before lunch you had managed to disobey everything she said to you and it was pissing her off. It was like you wanted to be punished, but knowing you that was a good possibility.

A few hours later you found yourself taking way too long to get ready as Solji sat in the living room calmly with her legs crossed, watching you scramble around. She checks the wall clock to find that you would both be at least five minutes late meeting her members for dinner. You know that Solji likes to be punctual for these types of dinners and yet you were still not fully dressed yet.

Once you were finally ready you stood by the door with anticipation. Solji couldn’t help the smile growing on her face as she saw how excited you were to go out to dinner with her. Unfortunately for you that excitement wasn’t going to prevent your punishment from happening tonight. Not by a long shot.

You only made it past ordering the appetizer before you felt the familiar sensation of Solji gently scratching your inner thigh with her perfectly manicured nails. This wasn’t completely shocking though. You had been misbehaving all day with the hopes of receiving a punishment tonight, but you thought she would at least wait until you two could be alone. 

Before you can fully register it, a small gasp rips through you when Solji’s fingers slide along your folds through your panties. At this point it is very clear to the both of you just how wet you had gotten. A small glance at her proved to be a poor decision because the small smirk on her face tells you everything you need to know.

I haven’t quite decided yet.” There was a finality in her voice that sent chills down your spine for probably the hundredth time tonight. Your legs involuntarily rub together and you feel like your about to cry from how frustrated the constant orgasm denial throughout the night has left you.

“But I’m sorry! I’ll behave I swear it.“ It came out as a plea. At this point you would beg as much as she wants however she wants. She won’t budge. It does turn her on to see you so willing to submit, especially after your display the entire day. Solji looks at you and firmly grips you by the neck at she speaks lowly directly in your ear.

Her tone is dark and intense. It serves to intimidate you and somehow make you want her even more, but she was right. You were her sub before you were her girlfriend and that didn’t stop after you became official. So you decided to accept your fate. Her mind was clearly made up and if you push her buttons you know full well that she will leave you untouched for at least a month. So you wait. Solji was merciful more often than not, she would surely change her mind by the end of the night. Right?

Summary: Koko goes to EXID’s I Love You showcase.

Koko was exhilarated to find out that Solji and the rest of EXID had invited her to watch their comeback showcase from the side of the stage. How could she refuse when EXID was making an ot5 comeback? She quickly threw on the most comfortable but presentable outfit she could find and put a mask on her face.

It was quite difficult to get in. The security thought she was just a crazy fan trying to get in, but Hyelin quickly came to her rescue and got her inside the venue. It had been a long time since she saw them all together again.

Koko entered the dressing room where all the girls were getting ready. She snuck right up behind Solji and covered her eyes.

“What? Who is it?” She questioned.

Koko slowly removed her hands and panned out from the corner of her eyes. She then lightly pecked her cheek and smiled. Solji was just as happy to see her daughter.

“Moonji!” She squealed, rising to her feet and pulling Koko into her arms.

Koko embraced her like there was no tomorrow. She could feel the determination and confidence radiating off of her body. She’s never seen her more alive.

“How are you love?” Koko asked her.

“I’m amazing” Solji started. “How is my little midget?” She chuckled patting her head.

Koko frowned and got up on her tippy toes to try to amount to Solji’s height but she was too tall and she was wearing heels. It had been a long time since she caught up with everyone. She hung out with the girls until they started being hooked up for the big show.

EXID were about to go on stage when they started joining together for their group huddle. Koko stayed back and let them do their thing before Solji quickly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the circle.

Her hand rested on top of Solji’s and gave her the sweetest smile ever. She never ever made Koko feel left out. Her heart started aching cause she realized how much she loved Solji.

The staff and the girls thanked everyone in mind and ended their ritual by throwing their hands up in the air.

“Go get em tiger” Koko wished her friend good luck before wrapping her arms around her neck and giving her the tightest hug ever. She had never seen Solji more alive than right now.

“I love you” Solji whispered into her ear before pulling away from the hug and caressing her daughter's cheek. She smiled to herself watching her walk away and onto the stage.

The entire showcase was so captivating and she lived for every single moment of it. From the choreography to the amazing live vocals, and not to mention Hyojin’s raps. But one in particular. Someone had an idea in mind for them to sing I Love You in acapella, and Solji absolutely blew Koko away.

Solji was singing her lines and Moonji could feel the goosebumps forming on her neck as she fell more in love with Solji and her voice. She felt isolated from the entire world and the only thing she could focus on was her. It was breathtaking and tears started to form in her eyes. Nothing could ever beat that unique and beautiful sound box.

Prompt: Can you please please do a scenario in which Jeonghwa (EXID) gets hurt or sick onstage and the reader (who’s also a member and her gf) takes care of her? I’ve been waiting forever for the requests to open, I really love all your works!! They’re amazing!!!!!

A/N: Have I mentioned that I love Jeonghwa? Because I’d probably die for her. What’s an EXID bias tbh. Anyway, I was super glad to be writing for her but the prompt took me a while to imagine and write. I’ve had sick/hurts prompts before, plenty, but since this one is a bit different I didn’t know how do approach it. But I hope I did it justice and that everyone enjoys!

It had been another long morning, and now that it was nearing lunchtime your legs hurt from practicing and you just wanted to sit down for a while. The dressing room was spacious, at least, and you flopped down onto one of the couches and closed your eyes, clutching the cool water bottle in your hands. All that was left was the actual performance.

“Come on, guys, lets eat.” LE’s voice rang through the room and you opened your eyes again, sitting up and looking around the room. Jeonghwa wasn’t back yet, and Hani and Hyelin sat on the opposite side of the couch at the table, going through the small boxes of lunch. Solji was getting her hair touched up, and LE was looking at you, eyebrows raised. “Are you okay, (Y/N)?” You nodded and scooted closer to the table.

“Yeah, just tired. Where’s Jeonghwa?” LE’s face changed slightly, and you could see the worry in her features.

“She stayed behind to do some extra practicing. Solji-unnie told her not to be too long though.” At the mention of her name, Solji glanced at the door, and you could tell she was worried too. The rough schedule had been hard on everyone, but especially on Jeonghwa, who had a difficult dance break in the song and was always afraid she’d mess it up.

“I just sent her a text, guys,” Hani said, and then looked at you and smiled, pushing the box with your name over to you. “You’ll feel better once you eat, (Y/N). Don’t worry, she said she’s on her way back.” You knew you were still going to worry, but you smiled back anyway and took the lunch box, opening it carefully to peer inside.

At that moment, the door opened and Jeonghwa stepped quietly into the room. Immediately, you stood up, and she slowly walked over to you. She looked exhausted, and you hated seeing her like that, not when she was usually so upbeat.

“Jeonghwa, you can’t keep practicing like this,” Solji said, spinning around in her chair to look at the youngest with motherly eyes. “You’re going to end up getting hurt or sick from over-exerting yourself.” Jeonghwa sunk into your arms and you sat down, holding her as she gave Solji a small smile.

“Don’t worry, unnie, I’ll be okay. I just didn’t get much sleep last night so I’m a bit tired.” Silently, you handed her the box with her name on it, and she leaned her head on your shoulder as she opened it and began to eat. The air wasn’t quite tense, but something felt off. Normally, the room would be alive, with Hani and Hyelin being over the top about something to make Jeonghwa laugh and LE yelling at them to settle down. But now, everyone ate silently, watching the small tv and groups came and went, counting down the numbers.

When all the boxes where piled in the middle of the table, and a water bottle was making a puddle of condensation on the makeup counter while Jeonghwa nodded off on your shoulder, you manager clapped his hands.

“Alright, we have to go get into position. Come on, girls.” Gently, you shook Jeonghwa awake and stood up with her, letting her take a quick sip of water to wake herself up before all of you filed out of the room. The halls were crowded, like they always were, groups coming and going from the stage and crew rushing through the halls. You held Jeonghwa’s hand up until the door to the stage, where crew began to grab members to put on microphones and make sure everything was okay. Silently, you stood and let one of the crew stick the microphone and tape to your face, watching Jeonghwa carefully. The weird feeling wouldn’t go away, and you were starting to worry.

But there wasn’t enough time to worry, because the group in front of you finished their song and the lights went out, a cue for all of you to start filing onto the stage. The group, Gfriend, greeted you all politely as they rushed from the stage, and you put on your best smile, because there were fans cheering and you couldn’t let them down.

It didn’t happen until the stage was almost done, and you saw it coming before it happened. Jeonghwa had finished her dance break, and moved back into group position, but as she danced backwards, her ankle twisted, and she almost went down. Quickly, you leaned forward to keep her on balance with a hand on her back, keeping to position as much as possible. You could tell that she was in pain, because the twist had been bad and her steps were half what they’d usually be, but she finished the song and posed at the end, somehow holding a smile and standing on the foot she hand’t hurt.

Immediately after the lights went out, however, her leg buckled. Both you and LE caught her, one on each arm, and helped her off the stage, where your manager was waiting with a look of concern on his face.

“It’s twisted,” Jeonghwa said, and there were tears streaming down her face. “I know it’s twisted bad I could hardly walk on it.”

“You did well, Jeonghwa,” Solji said, bending down next to her and patting her hair as your manager checked her ankle. You were in a state of shock, holding on to her tightly but unsure of what to do other than hold her hand.

“We’ll have to go to the emergency room,” your manager said, and then looked up at Jeonghwa. “Will you be able to stay until the award is given?” You looked at him, incredulous, because it was obvious that she was in too much pain. She looked down at her ankle and bit her lip.

“I’ll see. Can we ice it in the dressing room?” She was so hardworking, and you knew you couldn’t convince her otherwise. The manager gave her a little smile and stood up, and quickly, you gave her your shoulder to lean on, helping her as you headed back to the dressing room.

Inside, everyone had already seen what happened. One of the stylists rushed forward with two ice packs, and gently you helped Jeonghwa sit on the couch and stretch her leg out. Her ankle was already starting to swell, and she winced with the ice packs were applied.

“How did this happen?” Hyelin asked, concern written all over her face. Jeonghwa looked down, eyes dark, and you put your hand on her head, having her lean her head on your shoulder again and you ran your fingers soothingly through her hair. You knew she was beating herself up, even though it was just an accident.

“When I was moving back into position my leg felt funny and I guess I just slipped or something. I don’t really know, I kind of blacked out a bit.”

“It was amazing how you were able to finish,” you said, trying to kill the insecurity you saw creeping into her features. “I wouldn’t have been able to do that.” Solji walked over and looked down at her ankle, biting her lip.

“Jeonghwa, if you’re really in that much pain, it might be best for you to leave now and go to the hospital. The rest of us will stay just in case and we’ll explain everything to the fans.” Solji was a great leader, and she knew just what to say. Still, there was something holding Jeonghwa back.

“I don’t want to go alone,” she said, and her eyes were brimming with tears again. “I hate not being with you guys.”

“I’ll come with you,” you assured, and she looked up at you. “You won’t be alone. But you need to make sure your ankle is okay so you can perform again in the future.” She swallowed, and nodded.

“Okay. Okay, then I’ll go to the hospital.” Your manager sighed and got up.

“I’ll drive the two of you there, and the rest of you will ride back to the dorms with the stylists. Does that sound okay?” The other members nodded their heads, and your manager walked over. “Let’s go.”

The hospital wasn’t that far away, and it wasn’t long before Jeonghwa was in a room, laying on a bed with a better ice pack on her ankle. You sat beside her on a chair, holding her hand.

“Thanks for coming with me, (Y/N),” she said, and her voice was quiet. “And for helping me not fall on stage.” You squeezed her hand.

“Of course. I wouldn’t be a good girlfriend if I didn’t.” She laughed a bit, and some of the worry lifted from your chest hearing the sound.

“I think I just got lucky with the best girlfriend in the world.” You glanced towards the door, and then stood and quickly pressed and kiss to Jeonghwa’s cheek, making her blush.

“You know you can always lean on me,” you said, and she smiled widely.

“I know.”
