The voice was the first thing Shizu noticed that was different from her target to this individual; the arm a very fast second, not that the lighting did much in either of their favors.
It wasn't unlike him to use a voice changer, but to do so on his own person was unheard of.
With a click of her tongue, she'd stand up straight, arms folded under her tiny bust as her hip pushed out to the side. Fingers deftly moved into her pockets to pull out a small flashlight, held up to the side of her face and clicked on, the high yet thin beam spraying across the others face.
Certainly not the person Shizu was after.
"Fucks sake, you get my hopes up then you fuckin' drop 'em faster than a bitch in heat. Alright, let's get inside, it's freezing my nuts off out here."
With a mouth only a sailor could truly appreciate, Shizu would turn on her heel, fluffy white tail swaying behind her to tickle the pilots nose before vanishing from reach.
"You lot! Fuckin' get this shit out of there and get it into the storeroom. We'll sort it out in the morning, then get a hot drink for your troubles. You've earnt it. I swear if anyone asks for hot beer I'll boil it and pour it down your asshole."
If the pilot had xray vision, she'd see Shizu smiling at the men working the cargo; a few of them chuckled in response, one responding that he'd really like that; and a final one smacking the third on the back of the head.
The kitsune would look over her shoulder at the person behind her; as they stepped out of the cold landing pad and into the warm internals of Manticore International. Lofi music played inside of the lobby, filling each corner with soothing, soft tunes. In the center of the floor was the receptionist desk, currently unattended, with warm yellow lamps casting a gentle glow over the acrylic.
Further in was doors that lead to the Labs below, the dorms above and the kitchen area beyond the large hydroponics facility ahead. That was Shizu's current goal, a nice warm drink for the pair of them before the snow-colored Kitsune retired for the night.
"What's your name, pilot? Not everyday we get someone willing to fly into this place at night. My sister must have vetted for you to get you in here, but don't get too fuckin' cozy 'cause you'll be flying out again in a few days."
Shizu was in more of a rush to get them out of the freezing cold and into warmer weather just north in Australia than Aio was, but the pair of them together couldn't get this to go any faster. There were plenty of logistics to work around, let alone getting the necessary documents and materials sealed up for transport...
Which made pilots like her strawberry-haired friend a rare commodity to keep on their side. Hence Shizu's mildly-apprehensive approach to keeping her happy with warm food and drink, lovingly produced by Aio (since their own cook had already moved to the new base).
"The name's Shizu. Co-director of Manticore, as you're probably aware. You're also probably aware that this base, and everything you see inside of it, doesn't really exist. I hope you understand the risk we're taking, but that you're also taking with being here."
She'd be nicer to this pilot than anyone else she had in her life. Shizu only hoped that it'd be enough to keep the woman on their side.
"Whatever you want, we've probably got it. Just nothing too expensive, yeah? Coffee, tea, etcetera. Curry's good, too, which Aio makes. Dumb slut might be too mild-mannered, but she's a decent enough cook."
