THIS SCENE. THIS FUCKING SCENE, I'm telling you, is giving me so many thoughts and feelings.
Luffy going through the pain of losing Ace again.
Luffy ordering his crew to fall back, because he can't keep them safe.
His crew ready give it their all, because it's Luffy.
But they still obey their captain's command, because they know.
Zoro and Sanji still firing back at Akainu, while the crew is retreating, desperately trying to protect their nakama and stalling for time.
Zoro yelling, that he (Akainu) is not gonna kill any more of them. Yes, to Zoro, Ace is one of them. He's family.
Luffy's last punch.
Robin actively staying in line of danger to save her family.
And what's not in this video, but a direct follow-up scene in the game: His crew being sad, that they once again were absolutely helpless in saving Ace. But Luffy being all smiles, that everyone is safe.
Luffy, instead of chasing after a memory, chose to protect the family he still has.
I don't know if you understand my feelings about this. When this happened in the anime, Luffy was utterly devastated, and Jinbe had to knock it into his head, that he still had his nakama, while said nakama were shackled in place and couldn't do anything to help. And now they're here, with him, and still couldn't do much, but Luffy decided to fall back, keep them safe, instead of trying to get revenge on Akainu (even if it's just Memoria), because he needs them, he needs his nakama, his family, one of the most important, precious things he still has and can protect.
