a/n: hey there @vampwrrr - 'tis me, your secret santa (find me @starchild--27, I am Admin S on here ^-^) and i come bearing gifts, hehe :D i did a little mix of all the things we talked about the last few months with what you promted for your gift, so i hope you have fun reading this little one-shot i came up with! i, for one, had lots of fun with it xD gave me a chance to dive into unknown waters here - i never wrote anything in this setting before!

finally, a big thank you @exols-silver-christmas for hosting yet another year of exo-l secret santa. it takes a lot to organize all this so i am, as always, very thankful that we can enjoy this event again this year. i can't wait to see all the creative things everyone came up with! <3

Baekhyun woke up feeling uncomfortable. It was the rough fabric of the hospital gown against his skin. It was the cold metal chain that ran tightly over his face. It was the darkness and the penetrating smell of disinfectant. He hated it all. So much he just wanted to fall asleep again. But the bed had no pillow and no blanket, and he was freezing too much to fall asleep again.

I am back.

The thought slowly settled in his mind, exhaustion and resignation putting a dull feeling in his chest. He had been here before, in “The Clinic” as the people here liked to call it. But he knew that clinics are to help people that are hurt. And this place did the exact opposite. This place was a lab. And he had been created here. From some scraps of DNA the doctors had collected and altered.

Baekhyun didn’t know the specifics of how the lab worked, how they got the resources they needed, what the purpose of it all was. And he wasn’t sure if he even wanted to know. And while the question of “why” was a huge mystery to Baekhyun, the goal of The Clinic was quite clear. They wanted to create a new species. They were breeding hybrids. And Baekhyun was one of those.

Raised under constant probing and testing for the first couple years of his life, then put in a shelter with other hybrids to be socialized and later to be sold. And even then, there was no escaping The Clinic. There were regular checkups and tests the hybrids had to undergo, even after being bought.

Baekhyun crouched on the cold bed, thoughts racing. Why was he here again? Why didn’t he remember how he got here?  Why didn’t he remember what had happened before he fell asleep? Anxiously, his tail wrapped around his legs while he rested his chin on his right knee and he realized how helpless he was. He didn’t know what to do, how to get out. Damn, he didn’t even know what year it was.

Goosebumps spread over his skin. This was the most scared he had felt in a long while. It reminded him of when he was still a puppy that hadn’t known anything but the lab. Even back then, when he was entirely disoriented, he knew this was not a good place. He might not have understood it back then but he had felt distinctly that this place was harming him.

The utter silence made Baekhyun nervous. Or was it just the lack of any hints that would indicate other alive beings close by? He didn’t know and his ears twitched restlessly, eager to pick up a sound. Any sound. Just… anything besides the sound of his own beating heart.

Baekhyun put his head between his knees and buried his hands in the hair at the back of his head, tightly shutting his eyes and praying for it all to go away. Praying that, when he released all the tension in his body, he would be at a better place, a safer place.

But Baekhyun was scared. He didn’t dare to let go, to loosen his grip on himself. Any moment without your guard up would be exploited. That’s what his years in The Clinic had taught him so painfully. He couldn’t let go. They would come and immobilize him in ways that hurt and give him medicine that made him feel sick and run tests until he passed out from exhaustion. He couldn’t let go. He couldn’t let go. He couldn't-

A blaring noise ripped through the quiet, so sudden that Baekhyun let out a bark. That never happened. But, gosh, this was an alert of some sort and Baekhyun could practically feel this horrible, booming sound vibrating in his bones.

He had to get out.

Faster than he thought his body would be ready, he scrambled off the bed. The floor was unbelievably cold against his bare feet, but he started running towards the exit anyway. He pulled harshly and opened the door just far enough so he could slip through and out in the long, white hallway that was rhythmically illuminated in deep red from the flaring warning light. Baekhyun didn’t have time to look around more, he just bolted into a random direction. All he wanted was to get away from this room, but as soon as he had started running down the hallway, he started to hear steps behind him. Fast. Running.

He peaked. It was the nurses. Their skin-tight, white uniforms had them look like they were clones themselves. They might as well have been. There was no way of knowing what else was going on in The Clinic - and if there was a way, Baekhyun didn’t want to know it, wanted to be as far away as possible from that way. 

When he heard the nurses’ steps accelerating, Baekhyun ran even faster. He had not expected to have enough strength for that. His sight got blurry and his cheeks were getting wet. He could tell by the cold feeling that bloomed where the tears were running down his face. But he couldn’t stop running. Not when there were these nurses following him. They would catch him and do God-knows-what to him and-

Baekhyun opened his eyes so abruptly that it startled you a little, despite having tried to wake him up for the past few minutes.

He had been shaking in his sleep for a while now. You were laying next to him, waiting for this painful scene to come to a halt again but it only got worse the further the nightmare progressed. He started whimpering and yipping, making the most puppy-like noises you have ever heard from him.

You had tried to soothe him without waking him at first, started with rubbing his back and stroking his exposed arm. That usually calmed him a lot – but not this time. So you adjusted his blanket that he had kicked away from his body, letting his own warmth comfort him and, as a last resort, softly petted the wild strands of his hair. But nothing helped. When tears started running down his face, you decided it was best to wake him up and free him from whatever was going on in his head.

You had a pretty good idea what he must have been dreaming about. That was not the first time Baekhyun had suffered from these nightmares and when it got as bad as tonight, they were most likely about The Clinic. Just the thought of that place started a fire of scorching fury in your belly. They gave him pain his entire life and not even now that he got out of their grasp, he had no peace. You didn’t want to imagine the things that happened to the hybrids and other “experiments” there. Actual living beings, scientifically created there, only to-

You closed your eyes and forcefully stopped your train of thought. Your anger wouldn’t help anyone. Not right now, in the middle of the night with a scared dog hybrid sitting next to you, his messy black-and-white hair sticking out in every direction, puppy ears pressed flat against his head, whimpering quietly in the darkness as he wiped the tears from his face with shaking hands.

You took a few deep breaths and slowly so that Baekhyun wouldn’t get even more scared, wrapped your arms around his warm body from behind. And as soon as Baekhyun felt your presence, he let himself melt in your hug and shifted to rest even more comfortably in your arms, turning around to rest his head against your chest and your arms to wrap around his shoulders. Softly, you started to stroke his back again and tried to breath very calmly so Baekhyun’s irregular gasping for air would calm eventually as well.

You knew better than to confront him with questions in this situation. He needed to calm down first, realize that he is not in a dangerous situation anymore, that he is at a safe place, and he needed to take his time for that. The last thing both of you needed at this moment was another panic attack caused by Baekhyun being overwhelmed.

You lifted your eyes from the top of Baekhyun’s head and gazed towards the window. Tonight, the temperatures had dropped deep, and it had started to snow. It was always the first icy cold nights that gave Baekhyun the worst nightmares. It had something to do with the whiteness, quiet and cold that reminded him of The Clinic. It made you even more determined to create good and happy memories in the winter months with him.

You loved the winter, the crisp cold and how the first snow makes the world look like it has been put under a spell that makes everything really still and silent. It had always felt magical to you and even if Baekhyun would always feel a much greater relief when spring would finally come around, you didn’t want the nightmares to be the only thing Baekhyun remembered from winter nights. But it would take work to get there. He had been through too much. You had heard a lot about it from Baekhyun already but you weren’t sure if you knew everything yet. And if tonight’s nightmare brought up new memories that caused the dream to be especially bad this time around.  

But you were certain, Baekhyun would immediately talk to you tonight. When he felt he was ready and not in shock anymore. You two would figure it all out from there. Or maybe you would just fall asleep again and figure it out tomorrow. And with Baekhyun’s breath becoming more and more even and your eyelids feeling heavier and heavier… tomorrow didn’t seem like such a bad plan.

Baekhyun's car was parked in front of hers. patting Wes's head, he watched her making her way to the big house.

Samantha discovered jeno's habit of pecking her nose whenever she's angry or when he wants something, and the hybrid has no objecting to it. as she's a person who enjoys skinship.

waiting for baekhyun to open the door for her, she unbuttoned her coat and walked into the big house. the sound of her heels clicking turned it residents' attention towards her and by their shocked look, they had no idea about her sudden visit. sending a look at baekhyun, who refused to look them in the eyes, they smiled at her.

"Samantha, what a pleasant surprise," Xuimin chirped; "thank you, Xuimin." she offered him a smile before taking her white coat off and handed it to the maid, leaving her in her oversized v-neck Argyl sweater that was tucked in her black jeans. "I'd like to have a word with Suho. where is he?" her dull voice gave them a hint of her mood.

"He's out right now." Sehun answered, skeptical, "Call him then, I'm in a hurry and my patience is thin, you know that." taking a seat on their white leather couch, she checked her wristwatch.

seven minutes later, suho entered the house with a thumping heart. Samantha stood up and smiled sweetly at him, her cheeks rising. "rough day, I take?" he laughed lightly before loosening his silver black tie around his neck. "yeah...I heard you wanted to talk to me, what is it?"

she eyed him, wordlessly, building the tension around her; a habit Samantha enjoys as she wreck her target's nerves. "Remember the offer you told me about? that day at the grills?" she tilted her head and walked to him. Suho took a breath and nodded. "you haven't stuck to your part of the deal, have you?" he nodded again.

"Samantha, listen—" Putting her index finger on his lips, she grinned. "your wrist," she demanded calmly and the latter warily did as told. the rest eyed them with sharp nerves and racing hearts. they're aware of the meaning behind that demand; whenever she suspects one of them lying or hiding something from her she bites them and tastes their blood if there's vervain in their system; thus, knowing if her compulsion is working and if they're telling her the truth or not.

sinking her teeth in his flesh, she swallowed a small amount of blood that she sucked and let a happy hum, "clean," she chirped. letting a humorless laugh, he flashed a tight smile "Yes, of course. We aren't allowed to drink vervain... not willingly." smiling at his correct statement, she placed a hand over his cheek.

"Did you go behind my back and told those vampires about me at the party two days ago?" her honeyed voice caught them off-guard and with them widening their eyes in disbelief proved that they had no idea of what he did. 

the elites felt their hearts hammer inside their chests. they wanted to speak up for their leader and say he didn't but they can't. simply, because they're scared of her, and it's against the rules to speak back against her in such situations. 

Feeling as if her alluring blue orbs swallowing him into a soothing abyss, he nodded, he answered her truthfully, "I did go and told them that you're after them and trying to kill them." clicking her tongue, she leaned on one foot.

"I know you care about those vampires and hate to see them hurt but your pledge is to me. only to me. I'm your constant priority. and you have broken my most important rule, suho. you know what you did?"

swallowing hard, he lowered his head. "I betrayed you," he mumbled between his quivering lips. "Look me in the eyes and say it. for me and the rest to hear," she demanded sternly. taking a shakey breath, he rose his head slowly till he met her angry gaze. if her eyes could kill, he would've been dead on the spot. "I have betrayed you."

his friends winced when she grabbed him by his neck and threw his body harshly into the wall, making it crack. "What did those low-lives offer you and I didn't?" she barked.

kicking him to the other side of the big hall harshly, he spat out blood and coughed aggressively. "Family?" she punched him, "Power?" she grabbed him from his dress shirt and slammed him to the ceiling, watching him fall down and whimper, she scoffed, "Love?" looking down at him with eyes flickering with rage, the blue-eyed vampire grabbed him harshly by his throat and lifted him up, strangling him up in the air.

"Cause I gave you all that. I gave you your immortality. I gave you this power that made you what you are. I made you. you're my creation that I can end with a swift move of my hand." loosening her grip around his neck, she watched him with a crooked grin as he crumbled to the floor.

barely opening his eyes, he struggled to stay at his knees after she dropped him down. "please don't kill him!" Kai and Sehun implored. "he learned his lesson. we'll make sure he won't do it again." Chen and Chanyeol added, beggingly.

"I'm sure he won't." she looked them over her shoulder, "And kill him? Why would I kill him? I knew him for five hundred years. I won't throw that behind my back just for a small mistake. if anyone to die are those pesky cockamamies snobbish knobheads," kyungsoo's eyes brimmed up. "you're not?" he asked, unsurely.

"Baekhyun, come here." she looked down at Suho who dropped his arms to his side and lowered his head, shamefully. Samantha saw his wounds and cuts heal and no bruises were left, only traces of blood covering his face. squatting before him, she placed her index under his chin and then grabbed it with her thumb and index finger, making him face her. her touch was ever so delicate as if she was treating a porcelain doll.

without breaking her eye contact with suho, she demanded baekhyun, "Take his daylight ring." Baekhyun froze midway and looked at her with raised brows. "you informed me about his treachery so you're the most meritorious of this honor." Suho barely lifted his hand for Baekhyun to take his daylight ring from him.

"one week without your daylight ring would be enough to teach your lesson, right?" she asked with a joyful voice. nodding, she asked him to stand up and look her in the face.

her smile made him let a warm breath that lingered inside his cold body, narrowing her lulling blue eyes at him, she cupped his face between her hands, "Now, my love. from the day on. I'm your priority. me before your friends. me before your family. me before yourself. and those vampires who caused you this are unworthy of your kindness, I'm I clear?" he nodded again. clasping her hands, she stepped away. hearing him hiss when the sun came in contact with his hand, she smiled.

"wait," Suho called, voice groggy. "I need to tell you something. my part of the deal." giving him a bored look, she motioned for him to speak. "not here." taking a deep breath, she whooshed in his direction before grabbing him and disappearing to his office on the second floor. throwing him on his seat behind the wooden desk. he let out a hiss. 

"Sunny day, huh." pressing his lips shut, he crawled to the corner at light speed. "talk. I have places to be and someone waiting for me." sniffing, he took a deep breath. 

"doppelgänger, your soulmate's doppelgänger. he's part of the group. this time, his name is Mark Lee," feeling her chest stung, she let an airy breath and put her hand on her mouth. 

"ten years ago, I started to see the resemblance between him and the other doppelgängers. so I start taking care of him...secretly, till one day while we were out of town. he had a car accident and died but thankfully, Johnny, a vampire, and his friend, and part of the group saved him and turned him into a vampire. he's a vampire, Samantha, he won't die. not that easy at least. this ...this was what I was preparing for you. I was taking care of him for you since you know...he's your epic love" he completed with a sigh and dropped his head back at the wall.

"thank you," he offered her a small smile. "but this doesn't explain what you did." he nodded his head at her frugal reply, "I know, and if it means I'll spend my immortality to earn your trust again I'll do it. you're my sire. you gave me a second chance in life to be a better version of myself. you took me under your protection. 

offered me a family. put a ceiling over my head. trusted me when none did. taught me how to prevail over the unjust, wicked life. gave me the tools to stand against those who wronged me. shaped me into my eternal shape, and for that, I'll be forever thankful." he reached for her hand and held it between his.

"Now, my sire, I will give you my word that I will bring you, Damon and Stefan. and if I have to burn Mystic Falls while doing that, I'll do it." planting a tender kiss on the back of her hand, he knelt before her. placing her hand on his cheek, he leaned into her touch, "I know you will, next time when I visit. Make sure it's not for punishing you." chuckling, he leaned on the wall to dodge the sunlight. "goodbye, suho."

walking downstairs, she walked toward the seven vampires. "Kai, you're coming with me." she walked over to the frightened maid, turned, and let her put her coat on before leaving. closing the door behind him, the tanned vampire jogged catching up with her fast steps. "you and Taemin will go and find this witch, The Gemini Coven witch that helped those knobheads. Taemin will tell you what you're going to do to him."

nodding, he went to the left side of the house to grab his car meanwhile Samantha went to hers. nearing it, she halted when she found it empty. clenching and unclenching her fist, she huffed a breath and got in the car wordlessly.

Twenty minutes earlier...

"Okay, it's you and I now, Wes." caressing his soft black fur, the cat let a purr, "what do you think is going on inside?" he asked the cat when he heard voices shattering coming from inside the house. "yeah, whatever, not our business." he shrugged. picking the cat in his arms like a newborn baby, he caresses its nose with his thumb.

"you do look like her...but her eyes are prettier." he smiled to himself. tickling its tummy, the cat bit his arm playfully making him jerk his hands in hopes of freeing it from its sharp claws. but what he didn't think about is the cat would jump out from the open car window.

letting a flow of curses, he stepped out. "my god! she'll kill me if I lost it." he knelt under the car but found nothing. "but she'll kill me too if she saw me out." he mumbled, anxiously. "Oh, here you are," he let a relieved sigh when he spotted the black ball of fur on the other side of the road, between the bushes. "don't move. I'm coming to get you. don't move." he spoke calmly at every steady step he took towards it. relax, jeno. just don't make any sudden moves. he repeated in his head. 

reaching it, he called it and stretched his arms towards it and nearly got it but the sound of a heavy object hitting the front door of the house startled the cat making it widen its eyes and run away. "Oh fuck!" jeno jumped into the garden and start chasing it.

"but that doesn't explain why I got only 60!" ebony black-haired replied back, frustrated. "it's math, Renjun. no matter how much you study you won't pass, just give up already." his friend comforted him. Renjun scoffed and carried on dragging his bicycle side by side with his friend, who was riding his.

"did you...did you hear that?" Renjun questioned, looking at the park to his right. "that voice...", taking a deep breath, Renjun halted. "no, Jaemin. it can't be. maybe—"

ow! Okay, that's it! no patting for a month! The hissing was nearing them.

"Jeno!" jaemin pushed his bike to the side and started running towards the voice, his body started feeling light, and his heart hammered inside his ribcage. He mourned the loss of his childhood friend the longest among his friends. Renjun once revealed that jaemin didn't move on from it, but how could he? his best friend is what we're talking about. His tragic, sudden death left a deep, painful scar engraved in his heart.

letting a curse, Renjun run behind his friend but halted when he saw jaemin abruptly stop in front of the entrance of the park. "gotcha—"

"jeno..." jaemin's low voice came as a whisper, Renjun felt his legs wobble and could no longer hold him the moment they both saw him, in the flesh. hair in every direction with small scrapes on his cheeks, forearms, and hands. mostly from running between the bushes.

turning on his heel, oh so slowly. He faced them with a black cat in his hands. "how—" jaemin croaked out, eyes brimming with tears. "I— we thought you died..." Renjun whispered with his hand over his mouth. 

jeno looked at them with wide eyes. apparently, he took his face mask off while he was running since might it suffocated him; so his identity wasn't as low as he claimed to keep it. putting it back and pulling the hoode of his grey hoodie, he took a subtle step back. "I need to— uhm—"

the honking of a car cut him off, and all three of them turned toward the blue car. the sight of Samantha stepping out of it made Jeno let a relieved breath but when he looked closer and spotted the furrow of her eyebrows, his body temperature dropped, and as if his body began to freeze.

She was raging, pissed, angry, mad and all the adjectives that describe someone who's in her shoe. "before you kill me and rip my gut out and throw it on top of the trees, let me explain myself! the cat jumped from the window when I was playing with it. she scratched me, so as a reflex I yanked it off my arm away and it jumped out. I went out to look for it but the loud thud that came from the house made it run so I chased it! I swear to god I wasn't planning on running, why would I run? haha, please don't kill me!" he freaked out and yelled that all in one breath as he held the cat up in front of his face.

"in the car, now." her dull voice sent chills down his spine but he obliged anyway. turning his body toward the vehicle, a throat-clearing resonated. "what the actual fuck is going on?!" Renjun asked, frantic and anxious. 

sure seeing someone who you assumed was dead isn't something common you start to cope with easily but to see him acting normal did play some tricks on their minds. seeing him scared of this ominous girl, regardless, made it a lot more confusing; "and who the hell are you? what are you planning on doing to him? Are you—" Jaemin's body lifted off the ground and the evident sudden fear in his face drew a smirk on her face.

"My name is Samantha Mikaelson. The hybrid. You're going to forget that you met jeno and me today. you were idling around and nothing special happened. now leave." she looked into both Renjun and Jaemin's eyes. watching them nod, she stepped back. 

turning on their heels, they left, wordlessly. taking a deep breath, she opened the door and peeked over her shoulder, "Want me to drag you in or you're coming yourself?" snapping out of his bewilderment, he jogged to the passenger seat and got in. buckling his seatbelt, he gave her a timid look, "are you mad at me?"

his low voice sank into her foggy head and snapped her out of her deep thoughts. releasing a deep sigh, she turned the car on, "No, I'm not." she answered him curtly. "you didn't lie. that's enough."

"You know....for a second there...I thought you were going to kill them." he stroked the soft black fur of the sleeping cat. clicking her tongue, she took a u-turn. "well, they're your friends so it won't be a nice way to start a date now, is it?" letting an airy chuckle, she arched a brow at him. "they're your friends, right?" nodding, she sighed.

"so we're still having the date?" rolling her eyes, she answered him with a taunting smirk. "let's hope it ends pleasingly." sending him a wink, he caught her meaning. "more reasons not to escape I guess." she chuckled at his smug grin.

The Kings better known as ATEEZ scoured the floor level.

  Yunho surprisingly found the adoption papers with a permission slip for everyone of the hybrids there to be able to work as well as their own bank accounts and everything. "Hey guys! Come here!"

   As soon as they walked into the little office they saw several pictures of multiple hybrids smiling happily with a gorgeous human girl. Wooyoung and Seongwha weren't about to fall for this human's trick. In fact Wooyoung and Seongwha went upstairs to find her.

   "We will protect you, Cora." A voice said.

   "You saved us when you didn't have to. Most of us would be dead if not for you." A second voice said.

  "Here she is, Captain." Wooyoung said pushing her into the dragon hybrid.

    "What's a human doing all the way out here anyway? Shouldn't you be in the town with the other humans?" The dragon asked as he held her in front of him.

    "Why would she? She's the only good human in this rotten town.She saw how our previous owners treated us and she had a fortune as well as this house from her deceased father." Jay B said as they all made their way towards them.

"She was a sympathizer. Here in this little fucked up place that's as good as being a hybrid.The only reason they don't bother us is not only because we live out here but her family is very well respected." Lisa said as Vernon snatched her back. Cora was slightly shaken and nuzzled into the Rottweiler's chest. That caused the Kings to let out dangerous growls.

  They growled back fiercely ready to protect their girl at any cost. San pushed a hidden button on his ear ring which led to a large group coming in and surrounding them as Mingi stalked up to Vernon and yanking Cora into his chest.

    "What's going to happen to them? They won't be punished for trying to protect me will they?" She looked up at Mingi with scared eyes terrified for her family.

"They'll be fine but you're coming with us." Mingi led her outside and to the car pulling her into his lap. She stiffened not daring to move. He rubbed circles into her hips as she slowly relaxed in his hold. She soon fell asleep.

   "She is very concerned about those hybrids. She didn't ask what was going to happen to her but wanted to make sure they weren't in trouble for protecting her." Mingi reported after leaving her in her new room with the door locked.

  San decided he liked the girl and she smelled amazing so he went into her room relocking the door before cuddling with her. About an hour later Seongwha and Wooyoung stormed angrily into her room waking both San and Cora as Seongwha yanked her to him roughly as Wooyoung gently but forcefully grabbed San. Cora tried pulling away from the harsh grip causing Seongwha to tighten his grip more. She whimpered from the harshness of his hold on her wrist.

  "Stop hurting her! She was literally just sleeping! If we hurt her for no reason how are we better than the humans we overtake?" San demands.

    "What's going on here?" Yeosang and Yunho walked in the room. Yunho saw the grip Seongwha had on the girl and her pained face. "What happened?"

  "I came to her room to cuddle and took a nap with her. We were asleep until these two barged in yanking us out of bed. She timidly walked up to him as soon as she was within reach he pulled her to his chest running his fingers through her hair and pushing her face into the crook of his neck. She calmed instantly. After seeing her with the Rottweiler he realized she had hybrid behavior so she wasn't like those other humans. He also did his research about what that Persian cat hybrid had said about her family. He had gone to give Hongjoong and Mingi the news when he ran into Yunho and they heard the commotion.

   He wrapped his arms around her and went to the Captain's office with her to hand them the files.

   "Oh she's up." Hongjoong said surprised.

   "Yeah awoken harshly and with a bruised wrist curtesy of Seongwha. San was in there napping and cuddling with her when him and Wooyoung barged in. Yunho and I caught them. I was on my way here to give you guys this. The Persian wasn't lying." Yeosang replied.

  "JaeBeom isn't one to lie. I was a sympathizer which was the worst offense in the town. I had to buy them so those horrible people couldn't hurt them anymore. You saw the paper work for the guys I'm guessing. That was the only way they could be free. I'm not their owner I'm their sister." She said glancing at the hybrids.

  Hongjoong gave her a small smile which she shyly returned.

  "Cute." Mingi and Yeosang whispered. Yeosang pushed her towards Hongjoong watching her with a reassuring look. When she stood next to his desk he pulled her into his lap much to her surprise.

    "Lucas and the others mentioned you guys were going to make humans your pets and give them a taste of their own medicine. Does that mean they will get their old owners as their pets?" She asked. The boys laughed at how excited she sounded at the thought.

"Would you like to see what that would do to them, Cora?" Mingi asked.

  "I would love to see what they'd do. I'm sure whatever they would do is long overdue for those horrible people." She had a look of disgust on her face.

They laughed.

"Why don't we go get your little family so you can see them get their pets, hm?" Mingi asked.

  "Can we?" She asked excitedly.

   "Of course. It'll just be us and San going though. Mingi, go get him and meet us in the car would you?" Hongjoong asked leading Cora and Yeosang out. He took them to the car and gave her to Yeosang who happily pulled her onto his lap. She blushed causing the hybrids to chuckle fondly as the last two hybrids entered the car.

***Later***

They pulled up and as soon as they got out she was tackled by many hybrids.

“Can’t breathe! You guys weigh as much as an elephant! Get off fatasses!”She chokes in an exaggerated fashion. “Puh-lease. Knock it off bitch.” Jessi laughed. They got up helping a pouty Cora up.

“What are you guys doing here?” Yuta asked.

“Our cute little human wanted to see you guys get your pets. She’s very excited about it honestly. “ San said grinning at her.

“Don’t treat her like the others. She has enough shit she’s had to go through because of her family and other people. If there was ever a human alive who knew just how cruel humans can be it’s her. Just because we were the only ones she had doesn’t mean she didn’t try to save the others too.” Lucas told them.

“Wooyoung and Seongwha are the only ones going out of their way to hurt her. They most likely think she’s putting on some sort of an act and they refuse to fall for it.” Mingi sighed.

They watched as Cora joked around with her family and even managed to make Hongjoong smile and Yeosang laugh. Soon enough they picked their old owners as their pets. Cora looked on with an evil glint in her eyes.

“Let’s hope they show you more mercy than you have them. Honestly, I’m praying that you face the same shit they did. I’d do worst if I was them.” She spat bitterly.

They whisked her back to the limo where she was cuddling in Hongjoong’s lap.

Meanwhile….

Wooyoung went through her stuff at the house. He found a picture of them when they were younger. This was his noona. His Dove. He had to apologize. He grabbed the photos and stuffed them in his backpack. When he got home and saw they were there he ran to the living room.

“I’m also sorry for hurting you. I know now that you really are as sincere as you seem. It’s a pleasure to meet Woo’s Dove.” He smiled.

“And we didn’t take you to be our pet either. We took you cause you are ours.” Mingi said. “Color me confused. What do you mean?” She asked.

“You’re our mate.” San responds taking her from Wooyoung and pulling her into his chest nuzzling into her neck. “But, you’re all mates and Wooyoung and Seongwha hated me? That makes no sense.”

We didn’t want anyone else touching you.” Yunho said. “Well that was not a response I was expecting. But, they are my family. We made our own pack. My dad died when I was 16 and I’ve been with them since. So I already act more like a hybrid half the time.” She explained. Jongho and Yeosang took her to their room and cuddled getting to know each other.

“What do you do when I’m gone?”

That was what you heard as you reached for the door knob when you arrived at the entrance of your apartment. Everything happened so quick in a blur. “God, I missed you, so, so much.” he muffled into your chest that you rumbled with chuckles in response.

“Me too, baby.” your hands ran through his dark locks and pulling him in for short, sweet peck. He moved to sit on the couch with you straddling him. If he can avoid any human interaction, he would do it in a heartbeat. “I lived long enough to have so much human interaction that can last me a lifetime, give me a break. You’re the only one that I will never get sick of.” is what he said whenever you asked him about it. Being in the arms of Baekhyun, with his comforting aura enveloping you feels so safe, secured and with that euphoric feeling of him feeding from you, you relax and melt completely into his embrace.

“I’m so tired and sore.” you whined as you curled up on him even more, cozily burrowing your nose deeper between his scruff. He chuckled when he hear your exaggerated yawn. His hand is caressing your back while the other is resting on the inner of your thigh. He bent down and placed a kiss on the crown of your head.

“Then you should rest, baby. Tell me where is aching and I will chase the stiffness away.” he chastises before standing up and carrying you to the bed to get some shut eye. He lays you down carefully on the bed, helping you to undress and stuck one of his oversized Supreme tee over you. You sigh and groan when he begin to undo the knots on your shoulder, back and legs with his skillful hands, sometimes directing him to the accurate spot when he missed. With such contentment and peace, you drift off to the dreamland blissfully. And this time, you fall into a deep, deep sleep, knowing that Baekhyun is just by your side and not away from you.
