Hello again,been brainstorming for my AU, and realized that the whole mess with the love square and other weird things in Paris could be attributed to another bleach antagonist and direct enemy of yhawch, Ichibē Hyōsube, known as "Monk Who Calls The True Name, as one of the arquitects that betrayed the soul king and created the modern world, he is an amoral monster who manipulate and name reality on a whim, granted plagg and tikki are superior to him but are constrained while he is not

Do you happen to have a favorite theory about Hueco Mundo's permanently nocturnal state? I must confess that the idea of their days being stolen seems a bit fascinating to me, or maybe the sun? Or simply in the process of creation someone conveniently forgot to give the hollows sunlight, perhaps to encourage them to go to the human world... or to keep them out of it. Anyway, thoughs?

As you may well know, Anonymous, one of my Espada was, in fact, allergic to sunlight. But it is unknown, however, which came first: the lack of sunlight, or the genetic evolution of that particular Hollow.

I suspect, as you do, that Hyōsube Ichibē stole the daylight hours. This is very much supported by the fact that the moon of Hueco Mundo is perpetually in its crescent phase and never changes. Hueco Mundo, it seems, experiences one, singular night, always and forever.

Given it was the first time she'd happened to be in the Shōten's Study Chamber in quite a while, she really oughtn't be surprised that he'd taken the very first opportunity he possibly could to stick his nose into her affairs.

He probably missed annoying her, and she'd gotten far too casual and careless from having her own (more) private space. She hadn't ever bothered to remodel the former Vizard Study Chamber, and the two looked much the same; apparently she'd subconsciously allowed that to diminish her guard...

Well, perhaps this was utilitous in its own way... and turnabout was fair play after all...

"Oh?... I suppose you have done some research on such things," Yoruichi needled right back, "but you're hardly qualified to talk about proper care and handling, let alone edginess." It wasn't like she was ignorant of what he'd done to his own zanpakutō; after all, she'd powered that training process just as she had Ichigo's.

She also wasn't ignorant of what Kurayami's nagging likely signified. There were of course sometimes Shikai moves that had names, but something so ostentatiously titled certainly related to Bankai instead. However, she also knew it wasn't some revelation of the true name of her Bankai. No, it was probably like the different modes Byakuya-bō or Yama-jī (had) used. That Kurayami had gradually started in after that heart-to-heart with Hayden...

She had spoken it aloud just now as 'Deathscythe Hell' after the mecha from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, but given the creepy existence of Hyōsube Ichibē, the name probably long predated the show, and it was likely pure coincidence that what Kurayami kept relating could be rendered into English that way. She hadn't verbalized its proper name out of an abundance of caution. It wasn't デスサイズヘル (desusaizuheru) that was in her head, but rather 死剴魔界 (shinigai makai), with the later half being just as easily given as 'demon world'.

It simply happened to mean roughly the same thing, but perhaps—given the nature of her Bankai, the power of which wrapped around her as much as it manifested into a discrete form—the reality wasn't so far off the assuredly false cognate...

There was no slow and showy draw this time. Yoruichi's left arm simply flickered upward to point toward Kisuke, fingers curled around nothing. She made a token concession to the dramatic by dropping Kurayami's concealment just a little slowly rather than all at once, making it appear like it was constructing itself ex nihilo as much as decloaking—it depended on how one chose to view it.

"Maybe you're right though and I should humor her. What do you think? You game?"

"You know it's not healthy to neglect your zanpakutō, Yoruichi-san~" A wagging finger would punctuate his teasing.

"It sounds like yours has gotten edgy—and not in the good way."

Episode 8 is here, honestly I’m glad we had a more chill episode today because we had straight back to back fights and the Yama one was the most hyped, so seeing this and having some laughs is a great pace break! Ik some ppl are sad about Kon scene being removed, but remember a lot of funny scenes are gonna be removed so don’t be to peeved about it. Overall had fun today ( and turned feral as fell).

Score this week: 9/10, only because idk why ikkaku and renji’s bankai situation was not explained, but I have faith they’ll add a flashback later for renji ( my manga readers get me lol 😝)

Also side note, but I just have to tell y’all who didn’t read my last post I did go feral on my couch td for a certain blonde 🤪
