"chaery, i am your gift." the dry response came from the leader. her arms already welcome to taking in the other for a warm embrace. "i'm one half of your present! the other half is waiting for us at the shops so we better hurry up."

whatever embarrassment he had a few moments ago was gone as soon as they stepped through the doors. the delicious smells that wafted towards him only made the hunger in his stomach grow. ❛ really? ❜ he asked with genuine curiosity as he took a seat across from her. the place did seem like a labor of love from the cozy yet simple interior. ❛ don't worry about it, you can make it up to me by ordering me something delicious! i'll trust you since you're the expert here. ❜ good food and beer was more than enough of a gift for him to feel grateful.

"i'm so happy. this is my favorite place to eat but the owners are a little older and don't stay open as late anymore." she explained on their walk to the restaurant. she thanked him once she stepped inside and requested a table for two. soon seated, yeji clapped in tiny when ordering them a couple of rounds of delicious mandu. "i'll treat you next time as a thank you."

pleased with himself for being able to be of use, he felt a sense of accomplishment as he smiled at the idol. the question came as a bit of a surprise, he hadn't been expecting an invite, nor did he want her to think it was necessary. but as he opened his mouth to give a polite refusal, he was interrupted by the loud growl of his very empty stomach. mouth slightly agape, he gave a sheepish look before glancing towards the restaurant. ❛ okay, yeah! let's go. ❜ moving to the spot she'd pointed out, he opened the door to allow her to enter first.

carrying cash should be a habit of hers. specific locations such as this restaurant refused to upgrade to a digital payment. she had left in such a rush that she didn't consider until now.
