Not sure everything i want to say. but basically i identify with the hindu religion. but more just as my everyday life and a part of my being. a lot of people think im afro-indian. like siddi or dravidian.. i dont wear bindis .but i do at times wear traditional garb. im received well .but i also understand i feel disgusted when white people appropriate but hope you dont feel ill towards black people doing it. also indian stores set up in 'hipster' places to sell their garbs to hippy whites

Though you may identify with Hinduism, that doesn't mean you can consider yourself part of the culture and wear traditional clothes. Culture and religion are extremely different and it's not okay for people to think they are part of South Asian culture just because they consider themselves Hindu. And I don't agree with any appropriation at all, whether it be by a black or white person, race doesn't matter in the case of cultural appropriation. It matters that you are misusing something from a culture that doesn't belong to you. It doesn't matter that you are received well because actual South Asians are harassed and oppressed and are not 'received well' for partaking in their own culture. So, please, don't wear traditional South Asian clothes.
