The Beginning

I still remember vividly the first time I saw my husband. His face was so familiar, to the point where I was convinced he might be my relatives.

I had a huge crush on him then, and six months after that, I made a move— a one and only move, where I tried to smile at him as he passed by, which, of course, didn't end up as I expected. He didn’t smile back, he saw me but he just lowered his gaze.

A month after that, I found out that he never had a girlfriend or was close to anyone and he also went to an islamic boarding school for like 6 years, and that’s the reason why he’d be so awkward around women. After I found out, I think to myself that if he never dated anyone, then he’ll be cuek and there will be a lot of adapting and adjustments and I’m not ready for all of that since I’m just getting myself out of a long-term toxic relationship.

But my friends set us up for dinner out of curiosity of what could’ve happened between us. It went awkwardly because he kept looking down, then he drove me home.

3 days after that, he approached me, in an awkward yet cute way possible and we chatted. I told him right away that I had a crush on him, but that was that. He apologized because he was too slow taking hints, lol. We talked and talked a lot after that, just getting to know each other. I told him that if he wasn’t so shy in front of people and just talked to everyone the way he talked to me then, he could’ve easily dated anyone. He told me that it was easy to talk to me because he thinks I’m his female version (lol, maybe I’m the messy and depressed version of him—sounds about right).

For the next 5 months, he treated me so right that I was always waiting for a shoe to drop. I was waiting for the day he realized that he deserves more and left. But he didn’t.

I asked him so many times if he was sure, and he told me something I’ve never heard before. He told me that those three days between dinner and approaching me, he prayed to God asking for reassurance that I’m the one for him or mostly because he was about to give up his 25 years of quiet and peaceful life to be with me, so he has to be sure and ask directly to God and not anyone else, lol, such an a-hole. He told me to stop asking him to leave because he knows what he’s doing. Those two years with him were the best years of my life, no kidding. He makes me feel like I’m so easy to love, he makes me feel heard, and always treats me like a princess. So weird, I’m the one that has been in a long-term relationship before but here I am learning love from a guy with 0 experience lol (I knew the secret now after I live with my in-laws. He was copying the way his grandpa treated his grandma, this is also why he treated me like a jadul gentleman up until now.)

Above all of that, there is another thing that I love about him. He spared me from bullshits. He never promised to love me forever and ever, he just simply loved me, I felt so loved by him I didn’t have any doubt about that. We never put any label in our relationship, we’re not officially gf/bf because he told me that tembak2an was useless and I should’ve know that because I failed (whatever🙄).

He also encouraged me to grow, when I asked him to marry me by the end of 2019, he told me that getting married wasn’t the priority atm because he has other goals. Lol, I was so annoyed that it triggered me to go to Japan with my bestfriend because I wanted to show him I had goals too, lmao. He was supportive though, and told me to enjoy the trip.

In the middle of 2020 when he told me that Inshaallah he was planning to bring his parents to my home, I remember thinking “Oooh he’s making empty promises now, huh” because my inshallah means I’m 93% not going to come lol. But when Friday came, he told me he’ll be at my home around 10, that’s when I flipped out because we haven’t prepared anything lol. My mom was mad because I’m telling her at the very last minute. Thank God, everything went well.

I married him a year ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, yet.

If people ask me, mending pas pdkt atau nikah? I’d choose nikah every time because he treats me much better now, way waaay better than before we got married. He loves me better than before, he listens to me and my crazy ideas, he treats me like a princess.

I remember when Dad told me how he won’t marry me off that easily, my future husband should treat me better than him, he told me that I was like his diamond, and he’ll refuse anyone that treats me less than that. Now, my husband is my dad’s favorite person. They talked a lot, he told anyone who’ll listen that he got another son.

My mom, on the other hand, keeps telling me that he’s a good person, I should listen to everything he says. She was amazed that I scored the guy of her prayers, lol.

HusbandAndy is the cutest! It's in the middle of the night and you both couldn't sleep and decided to have a deep-conversation in the kitchen like you had when you where dating, hours of talking and sharing thoughts...and now married it makes this all more intimate! So you both share ice cream and music is playing in the dimmed kitchen light and he suddenly starts to dance with you, domestic as fuck and you both are just giggling and kissing!

Oh and BECAUSE it is Andy he will most definitely deepen the kiss and bends you over the counter and fucks you so good till the morning sun 🌄

Incaptureweek’s online poll, we asked our readers how much time theytakeoff work each year for horse-related activities. More than 400 people responded,andwe’ve tallied the results!

Of the 430 respondents, 93 (22%) said theypossessmore than two weeks off work for horse-related activities.some ones90 respondents (21%) said theycostmore thananweek but less than two weeks off,andanother 90 people (21%) said they takeancouple days off, but less thananweek. Only 28 respondents (7%) said they limit their time off for horse activities toonefew hours,with61 individuals (14%) said they do notkeeptime off work for their horses. The remaining 68 respondents (16%) had other responses.

Additionally, more than 120 people described how they coordinate time off work each year for horse-related activities:
