There are two full moons in October this year, and while the month is usually very important to me in a spiritual sense it feels all the more potent this year. Reading for today- 10/13/20: #eightofstones and #sevenofstones from the #wildwoodtarot. Today marks nine years since I began my journey working with The Hunter and the Wylde Hunt. I’ve been beating myself up a little, not having found the time and energy to post more content this month like I’d wanted. It seems sometimes I get a little too ambitious and then life just gets in the way. But I took time today to sit at my altar and pull some cards. Discipline and practice are required for honing any skill. But patience and allowing space to heal are also equally important. This year has been trying for so many reasons on both a personal and a global level. It’s okay to feel tired and anxious and not keep up with everything perfectly. This month, and the #huntersride is more an exercise of intentions than an actual planned out challenge to myself. I’ve been feeling disconnected and restless, and I wanted to use October to reconnect to myself, my Druid practice, my gods, and of course The Wylde Hunt which I have been working with for going on 9 years now. I decided to start by starting up my #cardoftheday practice again- I hadn’t done so since I moved in August. The #princessofcups / #pageofcups then makes perfect sense for today. Pages are messengers and ask us to approach a situation with an open heart and mind. Cups, and the element of water connects us to our intuition and the Otherworld. And I love the sort of devotional feel of the Princess of Cups’ body language, and the liminality of where she stands- at the water’s edge on an autumn day.
